Drinks were delicious, and pastries were made well. The only flaw is that they only have one restroom. We had to wait a long time. Other than that we had great service, ambiance was wonderful, lots of seating, and many different types of coffee to enjoy.
Great location here in Carlsbad for this coffee shop. I really enjoy their matcha drinks and my sister had never been to a Better Buzz Coffee shop before. As soon as I walked in I eyeballed the Honey Lavender Matcha and knew I had to try it. My sister decided to try it as well. Well shut my forever loving matcha mouth, I was over the moon for this drink. It was one of the best matcha drinks I have ever tasted. Every sip was so impressive and I loved it so much I had to go back and get another one the next day. The flavors mixed so well and it went down fairly fast. This particular shop is pretty small compared to a lot of other locations but they also have patio dining so that helps to accommodate the crowds. We experienced good service and did not wait long for our drinks. Parking is very tricky as the shop sits almost on a corner so I think they have about 7-8 designated spots. If you can't park in the lot, then you will have to park on the street. Great access to downtown Carlsbad, and the beach is block away. Happy to say we have a couple of Better Buzz Coffee locations in my city now! They are a popping up everywhere on the west coast.
It's our first time trying better buzz and I'm a fan! We tried their best drink ever and honey lavender matcha. The best drink ever might really be the best drink ever. Unfortunately the honey lavender matcha was a bit too sweet, so next time will definitely need to alter the sugar. Glad these are popping up in more places and we'll be back!
I love the Better Buzz location in Carlsbad. They have a limited adjacent parking lot. The interior of the coffee shop is divided in two compartment. The outer one has many indoor seating and the interior one is for placing and picking up orders. They also have outdoor seating. The menu includes handcrafted drinks, Buzz blended Iced coffee, tea, espresso, cold brew, smoothies, buzzingers and more They also have sandwiches, breakfast menu, toasts, and açai bowls. Of course there was a line, but it moved fast. The staff were genuinely warm. They greeted everyone with a radiant smile. The service was excellent. They were very fast. We ordered : -Iced banana matcha with oat milk 4/5 -Iced caramel vanilla latte 4.5 /5 -Caprese sandwich 5/5 The ingress were fresh. It was very flavorful and huge. -Coconut macadamia white chocolate cookie 5/5 My goodness! It was soft, rich and buttery crunch. It was excellent! We got also Buzz blend Medium roast whole bean. I enjoyed getting buzzed at Better Buzz. Definitely, I will come back.
Went to Better Buzz for my birthday drink. Brianna and Hailey were amazing cheerful young women with lots of energy. They also gave us a free pastry because it was really late. I always love the coffee because I can get it with less sugar! I'm used to French coffee, which isn't as sweet. It's nice to get a smile and a cheerful greeting these days! Definitely coming back.
I ordered a turkey pesto at this location and it's the worse turkey pesto I've had. I usually love better buzz and I was expecting the same turkey pesto as I usually order from any other other bettter buzz however 8' my order there was no pesto sauce, the turkey was overcooked, the bread was soggy and not toasted. It was horrible, what a waste of $10 and I left disappointed and NOT with the expectations I was hoping for. I Will not come back here again!
I was first introduced to Better Buzz in Hillcrest San Diego. When I heard about the new location in Carlsbad, I was excited to have one in my neighborhood. I couldn't wait to get my buzz on! I've been to this location a few times and tried to have a positive experience but I couldn't get pass the poor cleanliness I observed; needless to say, it put a damper on my buzz. I guess staff are too busy to clean up after customers when they leave. Since the staff are busy taking orders, I've come across pretty cool personalities when taking orders but when it comes to picking up your order they have to project their voices louder when saying the names especially when there's a lot of people. I didn't realize my order came out and was on the counter for awhile because I didn't hear my name on the other side of the room. BBC-Cbad you can do better!!
First time at this coffee shop. Came here because it's my niece's favorite place to go. I ordered the Iced Mint Espresso drink. They actual muddle fresh mint leaves. Which I absolutely love this. Way better than using artificial flavored syrups. I drank this drink so fast because it was that good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Then only thing I would ask the next time I get it is to add some extra mint to it when they muddle it. I tasted the mint but it was just a hint of the taste. I wanted more on a hot summer day to have that cooling effect on me.
Yes there is WiFi and seating to do light laptop work! Indoor cushioned seating or outdoor metal seating. This is a busy location, and service is quick! I got an American with almond milk and it was mid.

This location is in the heart of Carlsbad village on the main drag. You can order drinks inside or outside. Typically guest all pile inside so the line tends to be shorter at the outside counter. The coffee shop offers limited seating outside and some tables inside. The architecture of this shop is kinda retro which is a perfect fit for old Carlsbad. As always the staff were super friendly. The outside counter helped me find a drink that was not super sweet: I went with vanilla iced latte. Unfortunately the shop does not offer soy milk but they do offer oat and coconut as alternative milks. Parking available on the street. During high season and holidays parking can be challenging.
If you happen to be by the beach in Carlsbad, this is a great spot for coffee. They even have a banana pudding drink, which is the best ever.
Very slow service. Even though there were 3-5 people preparing drinks and only 1-2 customers in line, our order we placed online while walking to the cafe and it took a long time... The cafe wasn't busy at all, yet there didn't seem to be any sense of urgency. The atmosphere was very relaxed, but unfortunately, that came at the expense of efficiency.
We love this place! Today we have visited a location in Carlsbad and we have enjoyed our lattes just chilling outside and sipping our lattes. Coffee is awesome! We have ordered a few different lattes from the menu and we can't choose the favorite one, because they are all delicious. We recommend: Snickerdoodle Latte and Honey Latte- it's a MUST TRY! It's a perfect blend of flavors , not too sweet and not too bitter either. They roast their beans to perfection in a small batches and I think that is a secret recipe to get that perfect coffee! We have also tried their food : Bacon Ciabatta sandwich. The food was delicious, fresh and a ciabatta bread was soft. Highly recommend it!!! The shop is not that big inside and it can get quite busy with long lines . But surprisingly we did not wait too long and the staff were fantastic and they were quick and efficient. The outside seating area is a very nice place to sit and enjoy your latte in a beautiful Carlsbad weather. So I got the best drink ever and the Killer Bee and I must say those two are very in contrast with one another. The best drink ever is a little sweet so I would ask for half sweetness. The killer bee is really strong. I actually added these to my protein shake in the morning the next two days... Music was BOOMING, clean smells nice and the workers are kind and up beat. Got a bacon ciabatta on gluten free bread, and a large mint infused coffee iced Love the vibe, and the take out window, with our door seating is cute. Even though there is no drive thru here it is easy parking and quick in and out vibe. Will come back to this location again read more

They made us the best açai bowl I've ever had!! the people working were so friendly and incredible! The best drink ever? More like USED to be the best drink ever I've had this coffee before and it was good but now it's just trash. Watered down milk, no coffee flavor, no sweetness. Not sure if they changed the recipe or they just forgot how to make coffee.. sad read more

"How would you like to be? a little buzzing bee And instead of a tree You could buzz around me" (Elvis Presley) One of the things we noticed during our stay in Carlsbad was the sheer number of coffee shops in town. It seemed as though they were everywhere. During our regular walks between the hotel and Carlsbad Village, we passed Better Buzz up to four times a day, and guess what? They were always busy, always had people at the ordering counter, always had crowds inside the store, and always had people hanging out and chilling outside on their tables and chairs. I had never seen a Better Buzz shop before, and there's a good reason for that. There aren't any out East in my neck of the woods. Better Buzz is a regional chain with 34 locations across California, Arizona, and Nevada. They have a very nice menu of hot, cold, and blended coffees and lattes, espressos, smoothies, bowls, teas, toasts, sandwiches, and wraps. We stopped by one evening on our way back to the hotel, and as expected, the place was buzzing with activity. We ordered a medium-sized regular brewed coffee ($3.49) and a 12-ounce cold brew served over ice. Our coffees were great, the staff was pleasant to deal with, and the whole experience was fun. read more

Great and decent price (~$6) for a large mango strawberry refresher! The drink comes perfectly sweetened and refreshing, which I was surprised about since I tend to not enjoy coffee shop refreshers as much as their other menu options. Definitely would recommend for a refreshing drink on a hot day and would return for this again! read more

Nice coffee shop a couple blocks from our hotel. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant and a pink dragon smoothie. You order at the counter then you stand nearby until your order is ready. This isn't a good process because you're stuck standing there until your food is ready. The sitting area is in a separate room and you would not hear your name called. Plus it was busy and it seemed they were also trying to fulfill online orders so I stood there 11 minutes. Please change this process. Please tell your dining in customers to take a seat and you will call their name loudly or bring their order to them. The ham and cheese croissant was good. I like it when cheese does not ooze everywhere when you are trying to eat the sandwich. The pink dragon smoothie was ok. It was missing a definitive flavor. They have street parking and a small parking lot. The staff was extremely busy and i felt like a number versus a customer. Excellent location. read more

I love the coffee here at Better Buzz in Carlsbad! Nicole made my iced vanilla coffee and she was super sweet and helpful. She made sure my coffee tasted just right. Even though it's a smaller better buzz, the area is in a good surrounding area located next to the beach. I definitely recommend this place! 10/10! read more

I always have a fantastic experience at this location. Everyone is just so friendly. The drinks are amazing. Everything's always fresh and it's my favorite place to go.
