Better customer service needed, I should have gotten the hint as we had to wait five minutes until the guys finished their private conversation before they even acknowledge we were waiting at the counter. While my Apple cronut was served warm, my cup of coffee was lukewarm almost cold. I asked the server how old the coffee was before I ordered he said one to two hours old. When I received my coffee and held the cup it felt lukewarm. I told the server and he just shrugged. After I took a sip I went back and told him again, I asked him if there was a microwave he said no but he could add some hot water. It was bright and airy -- very appropriate for its location just blocks from the beach -- with friendly and helpful service. Display cases are full of a wide variety of donuts and other goodies. The donuts are textured more like a flaky croissant and the glaze and frosting combos brought in creamy sweetness. After waiting 15, I checked with the girl working the counter and I was told "it's coming and they have to make them one at a time". Then after waiting 25 minutes I again asked it was coming and was told " I don't know what happened" and the dude just shrugged his shoulders. So I said if they didn't make it I'd like money back. Stopped by on my last day in Oceanside and wish I would've visited sooner!! These donuts were absolutely delish!! I'm not a big donut fan by any means so I'm always a little skeptical trying a new donut spot but these definitely stepped up to the plate. It was a late Saturday morning so by the time we got into the store some flavors, like their strawberry, we're already sold out. Either way, we were still able to find some flavors that called our attention. The attendant at the counter was also very helpful in helping us pick our flavors. We ordered the honey glazed and their s'mores flavor. These donuts are so soft and fluffy and have the perfect frosting to dough ratio. I loved how light and airy the dough felt in comparison to a traditional donut which can be too doughy to me. These donuts can be more comparable to a cronut with their pillowy flaky layers. Sadly, they don't have one in Miami yet but it seems they'll be opening up in Fort Lauderdale. These are definitely donuts I would make a drive for! read more

I don't have a sweet tooth and prior to Parlor Donuts, I may have bought 1 to 2 donuts a year. After trying these donuts, I've driven down to Oceanside from Los Angeles just to get some 4 times now this year. The dough is absolutely amazing and the price for each donut or a dozen is very reasonable. In Los Angeles I've paid $4 just for a plan glazed that was mediocre at best. Haven't had a donut here I didn't like. Location is great as it's right next to the beach and there's lots of parking nearby. They also have tables outside so you can enjoy them fresh. I didn't give 5 stars due to service. Even though they've always had several people working each time I've gone and once they are assisting you they are very nice, they always seem to chit chat to each other a lot and ignore the customer(s). First time I went, there were 3 employees working and I don't know if it was an employee on an off day or a mutual friend , but a guy was just hanging out gossiping about some girl they all knew. 2 of the employees completely ignored me while the other one was helping the person in front of me. The 2 just leaned on the counter talking to their friend. This went on for about 5 minutes until a group of customers came in. Then 1 employee decided it was time to start working again but instead of helping me, she asked the people behind me what they wanted. Happened again the last time I was there but for a shorter span. It's good to have fun, it's great everyone gets along and chit chat a bit with people you know, but to ignore customers for 5 mins straight and to talk "cr*p" openly about a mutual friend in front of customers is unbecoming of the business. read more

Apparently I was living under a rock. I never knew layered donuts was a thing until we dropped into Parlor Donuts. They're incredibly tasty. Fried crispy layered on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. The fat kid goodness. I don't know how else to describe it other than it's freaking good. Parlor also offers keto friendly which was my main go to. They're made to order depending on availability. I dropped in on the middle of the week and they seem to have some around noonish time.
