Sunday April 19: Came by a couple of times this past weeks and they didnt have the donuts i wanted so figured i would come in early morning. 0800. Drove over today because the site said it was open at 0600. It also reads it's a holiday and to call but the number is not working. No sign on the door stating closed due to holiday or different holiday hours. Please do post those and vice turning off phone service maybe a answering machine with closure info. Not all locations celebrate all holidays especially non federal ones so hard on customers to have to drive to find out 50/50 if you are open. Thank you. Still love the doughnuts!! read more

I've never had a crounut before and this place exceeded my expectations!!! My mom used to come here all the time when she worked on Camp Pendleton. We got there at 6:55 so we barely made it in time to get some, and these were the only 2 flavors left, but worth it! They're even great the next day! Super soft and moist. So mouthwatering and not too sweet. Perfect balance! Loved the inside of the place as well! Loved the employees, the woman was very helpful and super friendly. This place looks rundown. We were greeted upon entry, but It is not inviting to see the customer space as a storage area (buckets and boxes out in the open). It doesn't settle right when you see something flying inside the donut case and maple glaze stuck inside the pastry case glass which looks like it has been there longer than this morning. Came here after checking out some wedding venues with my Fiancé as we were in need of some snacks! They have some very elevated flavors for donuts - we tried the blueberry hill, Sandy beach and a few of the smaller donut pillows/holes! Overall, outstanding donuts! Just a tad bit sweeter than how I normally like it but that's to be expected with the frosting and glaze. Delicious flavors, powerful aromas and delightful textures. This place is a spot worth checking out for any sweet tooth out there. Their Peanut butter and bacon maple donuts were delicious. Excellent textures and flavors, although the maple could have used a bit more bacon. I prefer the maple bacon toppings from The Goods but the actual Donut here was better. Lighter, like a cronut. Stopped here on a whim and what a good decision it was!!! These layered donuts are croissant like fluffiness and very delicious. Totally going to be stopping here again. Reasonable price. I love this place, their vibe, and the cronuts. But, the service is always painfully slow. Even on a Saturday morning before noon. There are 3 gals working...why is it taking so long to order donuts? I also feel they would do well with a rewards or points program of some kind. Not a huge draw to find parking and pop in here unless I'm showing guests around or looking to kill time. I ordered 2 donuts after waiting about 8 minutes and I still wasn't up to the counter (but had donuts in hand) so I asked how much they cost ($7.92) and then laid down $8 and walked out. Coworkers have raved about the croissant donuts, so we opted to take family visiting from out of state to try it. Staff were very friendly and helpful, advising on most popular selections. The donuts here are pretty good which is why I'm giving this place 4 stars! I loved the flakiness and chewiness and how they're not too sweet. However, I wouldn't classify them as donuts. I understand they're "layered donuts", but they're more like pastries than a typical donut in my opinion. Out of the donuts flavors I tried, I liked the strawberry shortcake one the best. Better customer service needed, I should have gotten the hint as we had to wait five minutes until the guys finished their private conversation before they even acknowledge we were waiting at the counter. While my Apple cronut was served warm, my cup of coffee was lukewarm almost cold. I asked the server how old the coffee was before I ordered he said one to two hours old. When I received my coffee and held the cup it felt lukewarm. I told the server and he just shrugged. After I took a sip I went back and told him again, I asked him if there was a microwave he said no but he could add some hot water. Unbelievable if I wanted cold coffee I might of ordered an iced coffee but this was the morning and wanted a hot cup of coffee. Oh well the cronut was warm. read more

I noticed Parlor Doughnuts while walking to lunch to meet a friend. After lunch, we decided to check out the shop, which is actually a donut shop and a coffee shop with outdoor seating. It was bright and airy -- very appropriate for its location just blocks from the beach -- with friendly and helpful service. Display cases are full of a wide variety of donuts and other goodies. We were too full from lunch, but did decide to try the coffee, which was excellent. I'll definitely stop here again when I'm in the area. read more

It is located 2 blocks from the ocean pier, right after you go past the under pass. There's seating outside so you can enjoy them under the sun! You'll see people with these boxes walking around so I had to try them too! They have doughnuts coming out every so often so you know they keep selling. They all look amazing so it's hard to choose. I really liked Parlor Doughnuts. The first thing you'll notice is the aroma. You can almost smell the pastries outside the door so you know you're in for a treat! They're right on the corner of Cleveland Street and close to a few shops and restaurants. We ordered a few different doughnuts but my favorite was the strawberry whip cream. Stopped by on my last day in Oceanside and wish I would've visited sooner!! These donuts were absolutely delish!! I'm not a big donut fan by any means so I'm always a little skeptical trying a new donut spot but these definitely stepped up to the plate. It was a late Saturday morning so by the time we got into the store some flavors, like their strawberry, we're already sold out. Either way, we were still able to find some flavors that called our attention. The attendant at the counter was also very helpful in helping us pick our flavors. We ordered the honey glazed and their s'mores flavor. These donuts are so soft and fluffy and have the perfect frosting to dough ratio. I loved how light and airy the dough felt in comparison to a traditional donut which can be too doughy to me. These donuts can be more comparable to a cronut with their pillowy flaky layers. Sadly, they don't have one in Miami yet but it seems they'll be opening up in Fort Lauderdale. These are definitely donuts I would make a drive for! read more
