We were in from out of town staying at Grand Hyatt and love Italian, so going by reviews tried Panzano. Very good. Waiter Brian was great, very friendly. We got the Brussels as appetizer, good, little salty but when balanced with apple, delicious. Wife got the Milano Spritz, she liked it a lot. Both our meals were good. Wife got squid ink pasta with seafood and I got Bolognese. Their pasta was very good,, actually wish my Bolognese had less sauce and meat and more pasta! My wife thought her main dish was the highlight of dinner, I thought the focaccia with tapenade was amazing, for a focaccia it's very light and lemon olive oil on it gave it amazing flavor. The portions were larger than I expected, wife and I could have split a main. The thing I would counsel against getting is the Tiramisu.. or I call death by coco powder, it really just felt like a bowl of whip cream with way too much coco powder. Twice eating it I inhaled coco powder, not pleasant. That being said, still giving five stars since everything else was so good. read more

I was excited to try this place, based on the reviews. The appetizers and desserts were awesome. I really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts with green apples. Unfortunately, the entrees were nothing to write home about. For $50+ entrees I would have been better off at olive garden. The portions were small, greasy and bland. They need to improve their entrees in order to have repeat business. I have no plans to go back. For 4 people, we spent $250 and had no alcohol. read more

My husband and I stayed at The Hotel Monaco and enjoyed both a drink before dinner and then breakfast at Panzano the next day. Our beer and wine were excellent and service was great. We could review their entire selection and make our choices using their iPads, which I had only seen used at airports. I liked it! The atmosphere is classy and romantic. It was busy on a weekday evening but we were able to get a seat without a wait at the bar. The next morning we were able to be seated right away for breakfast. I had a delicious French toast and a unique and perfect breakfast cocktail with some sort of tea flavoring. Loved it! Our server was also very personable and we learned she was also from NJ when she ID'd me for my cocktail. read more

Ah a Denver must! Just finished brunch here this morning and I highly recommend getting the basket of 4 pastries. Each one, was amazing and freshly made. I had the farm fresh egg brunch for breakfast and it was all cooked perfectly and hit the spot. The bacon was delish! Our waiter, Andres was extremely friendly and helpful. We will for sure be coming back. read more

Panzano - Pastries basket - Italian Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Had breakfast here the other morning. It was so good my boyfriend convinced me to have dinner there (even though he had to leave town. TMI ). Anyways the pasta here is perfectly cook. It really let's you know how bad pasta is in the world. Once you bite into any of their pasta dishes its ova baby!! No spice is overwhelming. No flavor too much. It's all perfectly blended. Better hit this place before it gets stupid and soo booked that it's impossible to get a table. LOVED IT!!! read more

I frequent Denver a few times a year for work, and I must say Panzano is a must on every visit. I have tried several items on their menu and I have liked everything. The flavors are so amazing. If I make it to their happy hour I love enjoying their Doppio Ravioli di Vetri with a glass of wine. Also, if you ever get around, I would really recommend their Bloody Marry, it's by far the best Boody Mary I have had, and I have it everywhere I go, it wasn't on the menu I just asked for one. Anyhow, I will be back to Denver next week and I can't wait for my Panzano visit. read more

Panzano is hands down one of Denver's top restaurants!! Excellent service, top notch food and amazing wines!! They have one of the most talented chefs in the nations. We recently visited and enjoyed a 5 course meal with wine pairings for each. This was absolute amazing!! It became an experience more than just a regular night of dining. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT! read more

Went out for a special occasion and was really disappointed. Service was lackluster and food was not good. My main pasta seafood dish was almost inedible. I would have sent it back but I did not want to signal the dissatisfaction to my wife. The dish had extremely too much salt, garlic and butter and was over cooked. Cocktails from the bar are not good either. I picked this place because it had favorable write ups when looking for "best Denver Italian." Not sure how Panzano made it on those lists. Seems like a hotel restaurant afterthought. read more

This review is coming to you in the midst of the most intensely wonderful food coma I've experienced in quite awhile. Walking into this restaurant, I would have never thought I'd leave thinking "wow that was one of the best meals I've ever had..." but guess what? That's exactly what I did! Don't be fooled by the location of this restaurant. Upon first glance, it looks like a trendy hotel restaurant attached to the Hotel Monaco. This is accurate to a certain degree, but the Executive Chef (Elise) turns this restaurant into the home of a culinary masterpiece. First of all, the brussel sprouts. Don't look so mortified at the thought. Imagine brussel sprouts fried in olive oil with salt and accompanied by apple strings and pistachios. There's a reason they put the recipe in the Hotel Monaco rooms and a reason why the Yelp reviews rave about them. Secondly, the crepes stuffed with mushrooms and cheese. It's filling but doesn't overly stuff you and is the perfect way to get the appetite rolling. The Cesar Salad is even a foodie's delight thanks to their unique twist of grilling the lettuce. For the entree, I had the Bavettine di Rosmarino which is Rosemary bavettine sauteed with dried cranberries, pine nuts and goat cheese with a lemon basil emulsion -- I also added grilled chicken. It's as tasty as the description makes it sound. Can you imagine anything not being tasty with goat cheese on it? The meal was delightfully gluttonous with every bite. I washed my meal down with a R and R which is a vodka with muddled raspberry and soda. I enjoyed the lively atmosphere and noticed that there were several large groups dining. Guests consisted of everyone from business men to young professionals out for post-work cocktails and cuisine. If I lived in Denver, I would definitely make this a regular spot, especially after learning about their inexpensive happy hour that runs from 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM every day (including weekends). My meal was truly bliss with every bite and it's obvious that those who work at this restaurant also love the food being served. Our server, Melissa, was such a delight and did an excellent job of giving us time to research the menu and enjoy the meal. So my advice to those visiting Denver or living in Denver is to give Panzano a chance. Your taste buds will be eternally grateful. read more

Everything was excellent!!! The Brussels sprouts were out of this world! Stephanie, our waitress, was on point!!

5280 Restaurant Week Choice. I had been waiting three weeks for last night. We chose Panzano because of the menu; there was a mushroom crepe waiting for me (OK, Crespelle ai Funghi). We arrived at our allotted time spot and had to wait about 20 minutes as no one was leaving as they were supposed to. This was OK because watching the staff was like watching that VISA ad where everything is working mechanically smooth. It was like a dance. Once seated in a nice booth away from the hustle and bustle, we began the decision making process for our meal and wine. Everything ran smoothly, the wine and my beer were brought out, then the crepe I had so been waiting for.... and it was heaven. Drizzled with truffle oil. The boys had Gamberi Fritte (fried shrimp with prosciutto.) Second course were the salads, my spinach had a lavender-citrus vinaigrette. Wonderful. The husband was eating a Caesar and cleaning the last crumbs on his plate when the mechanical smoothness came to a stop. A real train wreck!!! What he thought was a crumble of blue cheese was a piece of ABC gum!!! (The husband thinks it was a wintergreen Chiclet). This discovery came at almost the same second the waiter was picking up the plates. His plate, with the gum, was whisked away immediately. We were all shivering in total gross out. The manager first came over and profusely apologized and said we would be taken care of. A few minutes later the Head Chef of the evening came over almost in tears over the gum; no one was allowed to chew gum in his kitchen. However, because of 5280 week, they had added many new servers just for the event. Instead of making a major issue we laughed about it and said we understood, I think we had all had enough to drink and they were so nice about everything and accidents do happen, and it gave us a hilarious topic of conversation for the rest of the evening. Was someone blowing a joint, needed to freshen their breath, and then the chef walked by being strict about his gum rules...or? You get the picture. The meal began again with the mechanical smoothness as before. No one else knew what had happened. The entrees were wonderful with the Colorado lamb cannelloni being voted the best of the best. Although I thought my eggplant was the best. Desert was a trio sampling of a Warm Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte, Candied Apple, and a Lemon Mousse Crepe. I brought the apple home with a little extra of the caramel sauce for dipping (a gift from the waiter). And no it is not for my horses. So how about those stars.......I probably would have given Panzano 4 stars without the ABC incident, as we were seated late for having reservations. However, we all had a YELP conversation and decided that this menu was outstanding and the way they handled our situation gave them the 5 stars. Even the husband is laughing this morning (he says as long as he does not come down with some major disease). You know accidents do happen even with the best; however, one small comment....did you know restaurants have a foreign object discount listed on the bill? That gave us another laugh. read more

Great place! Visiting Denver for a conference and staying at the Hotel Monaco so the restaurant was very handy. I visited 3 times over 3 days. First, did Happy Hour the day I checked in. Great menu and wine selection. Very good prices!!! Good atmosphere and attentive service. I highly recommend their Happy Hour. Later that same evening I joined a colleague in the dining room for a glass of wine while he ate a Ceasar salad. He raved about the salad and the by the glass regular wine was great. Dining room was a bit noisy but not overwhelming. Last night my colleague and I did a late, light supper and again enjoyed the wine. He had the Caesar again and I had the creamy onion soup. The soup was absolutely awesome!!! Once again, great service!!!! read more

I'm updating my review to five stars based on the totally awesome happy hour that is now 7 days a week, from 2:30-6pm. Prices are crazy. I love the $4 chicken marsala...which is a full meal including a microgreen salad and mushroom risotto topped with crispy prosciutto. The fresh papardelle with ragu is delicious and my husband likes the $4 hangar steak dish, and we usually share awesome $3 calamari or Hazel Dell mushroom crepes. Plus, how can you turn down their mushroom and truffle oil pizza? They make a coin-style margarita and yummy Moscow Mule with candied ginger on a stick, as well as other creative and unique cocktails for $5. Wines are $4 and good beers like Guiness, Stella, O'Dell and Moretti are $3. Love LOVE this place for a classy yet totally bargain happy hour. read more

I had one of the best butternut squash raviolis of my life here. It was a special on the menu, but they are considering making it a permanent choice. Service also was amazing. read more

My husband and I went here with another couple recently and really enjoyed our experience! The food is top notch - we ordered the brussel sprouts and grilled caesar to start, which were both fantastic. The bread and dip to start were amazing and the pasta and meat dishes were good as well. The service was great and the atmosphere was fun. Would definitely come again! read more

The restaurant is sooo good. Our family give it 10 out of 10. It's winner of 4 Diamonds Award for like 7+ years. Everything on the menu was satisfying for family during our dinner visit. One of the many things we will remember during our Denver Trip in this Summer read more

We did the 5 course Chef's tasting menu and the food was fantastic. I am giving 3 stars though because I spoke with literally five different employees, including executive chef Elise Wiggins (via email), about how I wanted a knowledgeable employee to pair and describe the pairing for each of the five courses. I was even given a cost for doing this. I put my request in the open table notes, and I reminded them of this again when they called to confirm the reservation the day of. This dinner was for my Mom's birthday and we are all wine enthusiasts so I was really looking forward to having an intelligent conversation about wine with the server. But of course, They didn't remember anything I told them and they only did 3 wines for the 5 courses and the descriptions of the pairings (as well as the wines) were all given before before the food and we so brief that we all forgot why these pairings were supposed to make sense by the time the dish arrived. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but there are a lot of tasting menus being done around Denver and everyone has an option for a proper 5 wine for 5 course tasting. So 3 stars Panzano. Good food. Friendly staff. Classy ambience. Very loud. Too hot on the kitchen side. Poor listening skills. Over promising... read more

You are paying for atmosphere not food. I had the vegetarian lasagne which was bland. I expected more for lasagne that is priced over $20.

I was so excited to try this restaurant during Restaurant Week. The menu looked fabulous and I had heard great things about Panzano. Our server presented the Restaurant Week menu, but did not explain whether we had the option to order anything off the regular menu, and it would have been nice to have the option or at least understand if that was an option. Wine: There were only 4 options for glasses of wine during Restaurant Week. My boyfriend and I ordered a glass of the Cab, and it was thin, cheap-tasting, and not full-bodied. Really a disappointment as you would expect more at a fine Italian eatery. 1st course: Crispy calamari was good, but very greasy. The mushroom crepe was not very good and was way too heavy for a 1st course. 2nd course: Grilled ceasar salad was a good portion size, but not as tasty as expected. 3rd course: 3 of us in our party got the pastiche and were disappointed. This dish includes spicy meatballs and ravioli. The portion size was much too small, it was greasy, and not satisfying. 4th course: Desserts were way too small. Each of us ordered something different so we were able to share. The tiramisu was the biggest portion size, but was not flavorful. The lemon tart was the one I was most excited for and it was a big disappointment. The portion size was very small (3 bites at most) and the lemon filling on top had a jello consistency. The chocolate creme brulee was the best-tasting option on the dessert menu, but was in a very small dish, and was not overall satisfying from a flavor standpoint. The chocolate flavor was barely noticeable and instead it tasted of hazelnut. Just a warning if you're not into that flavor. Pros: bussers kept our water glasses full; server was attentive; bread basket was hearty Cons: portion sizes; flavor of food; wine was not good; it was freezing in the restaurant, especially at our table near the window! Due to the high cost of eating at Panzano, I probably won't be back. I wouldn't want to risk having the same type of experience. I will probably wonder if it was just a fluke that our experience wasn't as good, and perhaps they just scrimped on some things for Restaurant Week. read more

Last minute reservations on a Saturday night. Restaurant was booked but the hostess found us a table. Thanks Katie. When we got to the table and settled in, we checked the menu and noticed many dishes that looked delicious. I started with the grilled Caesar salad it was perfect. We also had the Brussel sprouts that were fried with an apple cider reduction. Don't miss that one. We had the cioppino which was filled with seafood, also a perfectly cooked winner. We also had a roasted pork belly with creamed celery root, very tasty also. Finally the service exceeded our expectations by far. Everyone was very accommodating. A spectacular meal and a great evening. Thanks Maggie for making it special. read more

This is definitely a dinner place, not a drinking establishment. After reading their happy hour menu online, I decided it was the best way to get some Italian in me without draining my bank account. We walked into an empty bar - well, one other person at the bar, and one person sitting at a booth filling out an application. Pretty close to empty. We sit down, I ordered some drink with the word Mule in it... Lime flavored vodka mixed with ginger beer. It was delicious. Jeremy went with some beers, nothing special. My second drink was the R&R... rosemary in a drink is slightly weird, there was a bit too much Raspicello, but it was okay. Food? Yum. I got Chicken Marsala, and I wished it was bigger, it was so good. But for $4 what do you expect? Jeremy got some calamari which was good. Not great, but good. The decor is beautiful, but while I looked around I couldn't help but feel like I wasn't wanted. While we were there some loud businessmen filed in and tried to out-do each other with who has the better seats to the Nuggets playoff games... blech. And when Jeremy asked for a recommendation of a good shot? The bartender (who was nice otherwise) pretended not to know any... made a big deal out of asking another staff member then made some joke about forgetting the recipe for a surfer on acid... so lame, way to make us feel unwelcome. I would be willing to bet that we aren't the first people to ever order a shot at Panzano. I'll go back sometime, hopefully when it's busier and I don't have to hear grown men talk about the thread count of their bedsheets. This place is all about the food and drinks, don't go looking for good conversation unless you brought a friend to entertain you. read more

Restaurant Week - Friday night, early seating. Service was fun. Place was a bit lived in. Food was fine. This would have been a great restaurant in downtown in the early 2000s but the game has elevated considerably in Denver in the last few years and now it falls back accordingly. This would be the best restaurant in town in Fort Morgan, or Pueblo, but it gets lost in the shuffle in Denver. Definitely one of the better places in a hotel in downtown but there are many, many other joints nearby that leave this in the dust. A tough market these days! read more

OMG, OMG, OMG. Executive Chef Elise Wiggins is simply awesome and a genius. Only a genius would grill lettuce like that, and know how to manhandle anchovies in an oh-so-delicious way. Best carbonara and ceasar salad ever. Prices are the incredible, even for midwest standards. $14 for a crab cake in a burger nearby (Denver apparently likes to make things into burgers)? I think you'd rather have an explosion of OMG-ness for about the same meal price (wine not included of course). Good wine and grappa selection. read more

We visited Panzano during Denver Restaurant Week 2012. A mere $52.80 got us a four course meal for two. Note: For restaurant week, you need to order all four courses at the beginning. The waiter we had was very accommodating and helpful. He answered all our questions and gave us ample time to chose. We started with three different kinds of delicious homemade bread with olive and garlic tapenade. It was the best tapenade I've ever had... Give me a bowl of it and a spoon... And maybe some of the olive bread too... mmm... What more can I say... Crispy, tangy, fried brussel sprouts... A fonduta sauce with white truffle oil that I would eat off pretty much anything... Perfectly seared scallops. Everything was amazing. Service was impeccable. Our water glasses were never empty and empty plates vanished miraculously!! The highlights of the meal were definitely the fried brussel sprouts, fonduta sauce on the mushroom crepe, scallops and the short rib. At the end of our meal, they also gave us a card for a free glass of wine or dessert on our next visit (not valid during restaurant week). We will definitely be returning! In case you are wondering, we ordered the following. I chose the (1) Cavolini di Bruxelles - Fried Brussels sprouts tossed with apple cider vinegar, pistachios and sliced green apple fried brussel sprouts, (2) Caesar Griglia - Grilled hearts of romaine, anchovies, garlic, Parmesan, (3) Capesante - Pan seared sea scallops with a sundried tomato and spicy salumi risotto, over a caper buerre blanc and (4) Tiramisù - Espresso soaked champagne biscuits layered with amaretto, mascarpone and dusted with cocoa. BF had the (1) Crespelle ai Funghi - Hazel Dell mushroom stuffed crepes, fonduta sauce, white truffle oil, (2) Caesar Griglia - Grilled hearts of romaine, anchovies, garlic, Parmesan, (3) Costole Breve - Braised beef short ribs, with sweet potato puree, Gorgonzola and a vanilla bean foam and (4) Lavender Chocolate Pâté - Finished with sea salt, extra virgin olive oil and raspberries. I would HIGHLY recommend either menu!! read more

Foodies will know the name of the Chef here - it's not hard to not follow this woman and her delightful food...for those that don't have an idea of whom I speak, Panzano's Executive Chef Elise Wiggins is someone you need to familiarize yourself with. Amazing food with just a hint of Northern Italy influenced in every dish from the Calamari Fritti to the Cavolini di Bruxelles (Fried Brussels sprouts tossed with apple cider reduction, pistachios, rosemary salt and sliced green apple), you will want more with every bite! On my most recent visit during restaurant week my 4 course meal consisted of the two Appretizers my friend and I each chose one and shared, I followed the appetizer with Caesar (Hearts of romaine, anchovies, garlic, parmesan croutons, crispy capers, an A.I.W.F. Award Winner).Super Delicious! I couldn't put my fork down the Toasted capers oh my! The Entree was the Scallopini di Vitello (Grass fed veal scallopini with lemon, capers and sun-dried tomatoes, over mashed potatoes and spinach) this would normally be $32 by itself and was part of the 5280 week for only $30. But I can't forget the desserts, yes y guest let me have his as well! I finished up with the Chocolate Torte, and the Italian donuts lemon infused, both desserts were wonderful and savory..licked my fingers after those donuts that is how yummy they were! I have been several times fr other events and dinners and every meal is like being in your Italian mama's home. Savor the food and the conversation for a group of 10 ask for the back dining room which allows for a quieter dinner and more intimacy! Get there soon and bring your mama and papa or your closest friends or schedule your next downtown business luncheon, the GM Matt Snyder whom we had the pleasure of seeing while dropping some of the plates for his waiters during our visit. I stepped out tot he restroom and he made sure to acknowledge me moving the restaurant asking if I needed something and then directed me to the ladies room. Also, BONUS valet parking that saves ou from driving around looking for a parking spot. It is part of the Hotel Monaco so it does cost but is cheaper then some local lots, with validation of your parking stub. Look forward to crossing paths with you there don't forget they have a great Happy Hour and also brunch! read more

Every year when Denver Restaurant Week rolls around, I review all the special three-course menus to the point of obsession. Not only am I looking for the tastiest options, but I also do a cost analysis to the normal menu to determine which restaurant is the best value for the $52.80-for-two price. Who doesn't love a good deal? After careful consideration, my girlfriends and I decided on Panzano; the options looked delicious AND they were offering four courses! We were seated at our table promptly, but then we didn't see another staff member for a good 15 minutes. At that point, a server rushing past our table stopped abruptly and asked, "Would you like something besides water?" I replied, "Are you our server?" He gave me a puzzled look and said that he was; I guess it wasn't clear to me due to the absence of a greeting and the general I-was-just-happening-by of the exchange. We ordered glasses of overpriced wine and were asked for all four course selections at once. Can you say "mass-produced"...? First course: "Crespelle ai Funghi - mushroom stuffed crepes, fonduta sauce, white truffle oil." I was really looking forward to this and maybe that's why I was less than impressed when it arrived. I'll give it three stars (out of five), though, because it ended up being the best part of the meal. Second course: "Zuppa di Venus - chicken broth, wild mushrooms, house-made three cheese tortellini, spinach and a drizzle of truffle oil." I think there were two tortellinis in the whole thing, the broth was lifeless and whatever meat was floating around there was inedible. One star. Third course: "Cannelloni al Ragù d'Agnello - Colorado lamb cannelloni over mint goat cheese buerre blanc, finished with roasted walnuts, chantrelle mushrooms, pomegranate seeds, and goat cheese." Something in there had a sandy mouthfeel and the mixture of different textures just did not work. Zero stars. Fourth course: "Dessert Trio - a Warm Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte, Candied Apple, and a Lemon Mousse Crepe"... except they were out of the lemon crepe so we got two tortes (which tasted more like Betty Crocker brownies). Two stars. Through all this, the service was atrocious and the portions were very obviously reduced for Restaurant Week. I understand that, as a restaurant, you will see more customers this week than normal and need to make things easy and cost-efficient for yourself. However, many people will be dining in your establishment for the first time during this period - do you really want to leave them with the impression that you can't be bothered to make an effort when a specially priced menu is involved? I am sure Panzano is decent 51 weeks out of the year, but because they did everything so half-assed this week, I will never return. Finally, when our bill arrived, there was a card where one could fill out his or her name, address, etc. to be placed on the mailing list. Obviously I had no desire to be on such a list, but I was indignant and there was no place for comments, so I wrote all my grievances around the edges of said card. The real kick in the crotch came a week or two later, when I received something from Panzano in the mail. I expected to find an apology letter or maybe even a gift certificate so that I could give the establishment another chance. What I got, however, was a letter welcoming me to the Panzano mailing list. I think it would have been less insulting had the server seen my rants while running the bill and threw the card away. But, no, someone managerial saw the complaints and turned a blind eye to them. The old adage about relaying negative experiences to 10 times more people than positive ones is particularly true here: everyone I know has heard about my disastrous night at Panzano and has avoided it accordingly. read more

I went here for restaurant week with 3 friends and it was definitely worth it. Had heard about the renovations and I don't know what it looked like before but it looks great now--soothing grays and reds and maps of Venice (?) On a side note...we were seated at a window table and could see a random couple literally start having sex in an alleyway across the street. Not the most pleasant thing ever but not the restaurant's fault haha. The food for the most part was excellent, if a bit uninspired in places. The standout appetizer is of course the funghi crespelles (Hazel Dell Mushroom Crepes). The portion was small but it made up for it in flavor (and the salty cheese sauce.). A friend got the calamari and said it was above average. Then on to the potato leek soup which was good, not great. I added some of the flavored dipping oil they serve with the bread basket for extra flavor. The main course was a tagliatelle bolognese. It came on a huge plate/bowl that from far away looked like a large portion but up close was a fairly miniscule clump of pasta in the center (hate when they do that.) It was good and I love tagliatelle but it had a faintly cinnamon-y/ nutmeg flavor that turned me off. My friends had the chicken entree which seemed a little boring and they said it was too dry. My dessert was a lavender chocolate fudge thing...which my friends remarked looked like two strips of dog turd on a plate hahah. Made it hard to look at but I thought it tasted great. Not that soap-y flavor you get with most lavender desserts, and they sprinkle salt on it to heighten the flavor. I would definitely go back to try some more of the pasta dishes and of course the mushroom crepes. read more

Terrific! Food is excellent (bison short ribs, Brussels, greens, carrot cake). Service was fast and nice.

Two words: Happy Hour. It is amazing here. I have been to Panzano for dinner and lunch multiple times but I finally got my act together and went to happy hour last week. This is the way to do this restaurant. The food is the same quality as the dinner and lunch menu but a heck of a lot cheaper and in smaller portions, meaning you can order more! I got the happy hour Cabernet and was pleasantly surprised, it wasn't watered down like a lot of house cabs but had a nice robust flavor and body to it. My friend got the fruity R &R raspberry vodka cocktail, it was quite tasty as well. For food, we were ravenous so we went a little overboard. You must try the Brussels's sprouts. I don't care if you don't like Brussels's sprouts, you will like these. Chef Elise Wiggins knows what she's doing. I would also recommend the funghi pizza, the mushroom and fontina cheese mixture is deliciously creamy. Also not to miss is the gnocchi with rabbit confit, amazing. Panzano has happy hour 7 days a week from 2:30pm-6:00pm. Get there as soon as you can to grab a coveted table. Can't wait until the patio opens for spring and summer! read more

Oh. My. Gosh. Okay. Panzano is incredible. I'll start by complimenting the service on my first and only visit (so far!). When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and our coats taken. The host was very gracious and sat us at a lovely booth by the open kitchen area. Our server, Laurie, was absolutely amazing. Some of the best service I've ever had. She introduced us to her assistant, who kept our waters refilled, plates cleared, and table impeccably clean throughout the evening. Laurie explained each portion of the menu to us in a non-patronizing way that didn't take too long and included her recommendations, which we gladly took! We enjoyed the following: Crespelle ai Funghi (mushroom crepes with a delicious fonduta) and Cavolini di Bruxelles (fried Brussels sprouts; absolutely amazing). For secondi, we both had the Caesar Griglia (grilled Caesar; could have been better dressed). As entrees, we enjoyed the Pastiche (me; meatball and cheese tortellini with cinnamon custard) and Pollo al Marsala (him; chicken Marsala). I didn't love the Pastiche, but it's my own fault - I sort of thought the cinnamon custard was a little sweet, but ordered it anyway. I was right (at least for my palate), but the meatballs and the dish itself were great. He loved the chicken. As we were there for my birthday, I was pleased to be given kind birthday wishes accompanied by a complimentary tiramisu, which I loved, which is saying something considering I don't like coffee or coffee-flavored things. Plus, Laurie gave me a handwritten card for another dessert for the next time I come in, which I absolutely will do. Overall, this was a truly lovely dining experience. I loved the service and the food and was pleasantly surprised to find such an elegant dining experience. read more

Definitely a must do for those visiting Denver. If I lived near this place, it would be hard not it go every week. Okay, this place is the truth. From the wine to the food to the service, everything is top notch. We ordered a nice chianti that was much better than expected. It wasn't cheap at $105/bottle, but it was worth every penny my boss spent on it. We started food with calamari. The night before, I had the calamari at Hodson's and thought it was good, but it was nothing compared to Panzano's! It was perfectly tender and well-seasoned. For dinner, I had the carbonara, while my friends had the handmade ravioli and a salad with salmon added. I can only speak to the flavor of the carbonara, and it was wonderful. Panzano's does a great job of adding all the flavors without going overboard. The spaghetti were large and tender and perfectly coated with the sauce without pools in the bottom of the bowl. Instead of adding egg to the sauce, they topped the bowl of spaghetti with a poached egg, which was cooked perfectly. This was a well-made dish, balanced in flavor and presentation. The raviolis looked amazing. They came in a brown butter sauce, but again, they were only lightly the coated in the sauce. I was told they were perfect in texture and flavor. The portions are a good amount, but they do not leave you stuffed. With appetizers and drinks I was quite satisfied. The service was also great. The waiter was attentive without being too present and all the employees we interacted with were friendly. read more

We had 9pm reservations on a Friday night and they were able to seat us right away when we arrived 30 minutes early. At first I questioned why they weren't busy but quickly realized this is a top notch restaurant, not a 'let's hang out all night and get wasted' kind of place. The service, food and atmosphere were just perfect. The drink menu is on an ipad and they have over 500 wines available. Gluten free menu available!! Our server knew the food menu inside and out and was able to answer each of our questions, and his suggestions were spot on. We tried the fried brussel sprouts at his recommendation and were blown away! Of course they had great pasta dishes but their seafood entrees were phenomenal. Our party of 4 ate their for just under $200. I believe we each had 1 drink. Definitely worth the price!! Great location downtown, as well. read more
