Located in the ART hotel on the fourth floor, off the lobby. I ate here twice and made the unfortunate decision to try the same thing twice (I thought it would be different between lunch and dinner). I had the steak frites. The first time I asked for medium and it was well done. The second time I got the right temp delivered, but it didn't help the lack of seasoning or the bland sauce. The fries were hot and crisp both times. I think it would have been smarter for me to try the spicy vodka rigatoni, the hot honey glazed salmon, or the burger, or even the herb marinated chicken sandwich. It's totally on me for not trying something new. All of their drinks were decent. The margaritas were classic. The Girl with the Red Balloon (Titos, ginger, clarified lemon, grapefruit seltzer) was refreshing and not too sweet. The High and Dry (gin, aperitivo, elderflower liqueur, orange blossom, cava, grapefruit) was dark and moody and savory. Service both times was attentive. This is located in the Art Hotel - we did come a little later in the evening - 8:50 PM to grab a quick bite. They closed at 10 PM. Server was friendly and I could tell they were closing so sometimes we didn't really see them. It was pretty quiet in the dining room side but there was a bar that was pretty busy. A little dim but overall a nice ambience. For our meal, we ordered the Lava Chicken, the Spicy Vodka Rigatoni (added Salmon) and then Braised Short Rib. The Lava Chicken was pretty good, I really liked the batter. The Braised Short Rib was also delicious. While the Spicy Vodka Rigatoni had great flavor along with the Salmon, my food came out on the room temperature, almost cold side. It took some time to find our server to have them just heat it up a little bit but the flavor was great. If we're back in the area, I would try this place again and try out the rest of their menu. read more

Stayed at the Art Hotel so came here for brunch and ordered a few dishes -- the yogurt and granola, burrata, omelette, and chicken sausage. Everything was visually appealing but average in taste. The yogurt and granola was the prettiest of the bunch -- beautifully presented with fresh blueberries and strawberries scattered around the bowl. However, the yogurt was spread so thinly across the flat plate that it looked more generous than it actually was. I would've preferred a much higher yogurt-to-granola ratio, and the honey and orange marmalade were both quite heavy-handed -- it veered into overly sweet territory. It would have been nice to ask for a "light drizzle" option or the ability to get the sweet toppings on the side. The burrata was decent. The pesto was actually the highlight -- bright, herby, and flavorful. My main gripe was with the crostini, which were quite hard. I would have preferred toasted sourdough or wheat bread. The omelette and chicken sausage were both perfectly fine but nothing memorable -- standard brunch fare. Overall, the place was average for breakfast. Honestly the worst restaurant experience in my 5 years in Denver. Only 2 stars because the food was mostly good. Ate dinner and breakfast here while staying at the art hotel. Dinner server seemed like she didn't want to be working and busily passed up our table without checking in. Breakfast was no better: our food was clearly forgotten but we had to remind multiple servers and when I finally decided to talk to the manager at the end (that says a lot for me), she gave a standard apology and didn't really offer anything. I had complimentary breakfast and brunch for two at FIRE Restaurant & Lounge during my stay at The Art Hotel in Denver, and honestly? I was pleasantly surprised. Not going to lie--I was skeptical at first based on the ratings, but my experience lined up with what some of the reviews mentioned. While I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here as a standalone destination, for a complimentary hotel restaurant experience, it was fantastic! My first meal was a weekday breakfast (ends at 10:30 AM), and I ordered the Eggs Benedict with steak. It was flavorful, filling, and a great start to the day. The next two meals were brunch (served until 2 PM--which was clutch because one day I barely made it back in time!). Both times, I had the steak frites with garlic parmesan fries, and let me tell you--the steak was perfectly cooked, and those fries were dangerously delicious. One brunch meal, I treated myself to a cucumber cooler with vodka--and wow. It was so smooth I had to ask the server if it actually had alcohol in it (it did). I also tried their pumpkin spice and hazelnut lattes, both of which were solid. Overall, I really enjoyed all of my meals here--especially the steak frites. The outdoor seating area looked beautiful too, though I didn't get a chance to try it. FIRE isn't a must-visit Denver destination, but if you're staying at the hotel or nearby, it's a solid option with good food, good vibes, and a few standout dishes worth returning for. read more

First, I would like to say avoid this restaurant if possible. Only reason why we went to this restaurant was because we had a voucher. If you do get a voucher, just go to the bar and get a drink. Don't waste your time or money at this restaurant. First we had the crab dip. The bread they brought out was raw in the center. Still gooey and sticky, was not cooked all the way. My steak fitters wasn't even cut up. It was pretty much a New York steak with fries. The steak had this weird pink center and it's not even because it's a cooked to a medium. It's had a weird chewing texture to it. That way I can describe it was if they had a frozen steak and it wasn't defrosted all the way and they threw it on the grill. I had better $20 steaks at Chili's than this, and the fact that they charge $64 for this thing is outrageous. read more

I made a reservation weeks before, dealing with Tobias who was fantastic and accommodating. Though at the restaurant, the maitre d' wasn't very friendly. He argued my outside reservation request, even though there was plenty of seating available. Our table service was poor too. I was hoping for a gluten free vegan dessert, but our server couldn't answer my questions about the menu. He also spilled my friend's drink, apologized, but didn't offer a replacement. He seemed irritated. For a restaurant of this caliber, he was a weird fit. Overall, none of the staff seemed pleasant. I ordered a Caesar salad with salmon and almost laughed when I saw how small the salmon portion was. The salmon was under-seasoned and both overdone on the outside and underdone in the center. The salad was like something you would get at the airport. I was swarmed with fruit flies while I was eating which put me off from my salad so I ordered some fries which were fine. Wow! I knew this place would be good but it was actually FANTASTIC. Staff were already so kind and patient when we walked in, and the atmosphere was so classy yet very cozy to dine in. Most importantly, the quality of the food is so superb it truly matches up with the price you pay. Steak frites were good but oh my gosh the salmon dish was flawless! The salmon melts in your mouth, the Brussels sprouts were crispy and tasty, and the quinoa isn't overly dry and tasteless and instead is up to par with the salmon. We popped into Fire Restaurant while going to the Chalk Art Festival. It's close by all the museums and art events so it's a great restaurant and bar to do in between all the fun. It was in between lunch and dinner and they were preparing for an event. But we still were seated and got to try a couple drinks- a margarita and a frozen rose. We had a couple free drink coins to use which we received from a festival before and they gladly took those no problem. We tried their fish tacos. The fish was good I wasn't a big fan of the sauce used on the fish but that is just a matter of taste. The portion was big enough to share for our quick pop in. The drinks were perfect though. Ryan said it was the best Margarita he's had in Denver. I also enjoyed my frozè. The service itself was top notch. Very attentive to us the whole time even though they were cleaning up from the last party and preparing for another event that day. We will definitely be coming in again soon and would love to try out the patio area when it isn't reserved for a party and would love to try some more of the foods and other cocktails. read more

Though perhaps a titch under-seasoned, we enjoyed the food and were definitely impressed by the high quality service. For dinner, we split the steak and salad, and had one drink each. First, this place is beautiful! It located on the 4th floor of the Hilton Art hotel. Lovely outdoor patio, great views through clean glass windows from the inside dining room. Our waiter, William, was wonderful. Everyone in our group said their food was tasty. However, their menu is way over priced for what you get. We did not order from their $36 dinner selections because we saw some of the plates coming from the kitchen and decided to instead go with the salad plus protein. I ordered the Caesar plus salmon, which tasted good, but the salmon was three small bites, about 2/3 of a business card in size, maybe 1/2" thick. Seriously? (Photo) so, our bill was about $170...and we had salads....lol....no. Sorry, Fire, you're just not worth it. Won't be back, too many other great choices in downtown Denver. read more

During my stay at the Art Hotel, I was given a lot of credits to dine at this restaurant via my American Express benefits, so I have decided to give this place a try, and I was able to come here for brunch on both Saturday and Sunday, as a result trying a lot of items on the brunch menu. Overall I think majority of items are not bad, but not anything I would proactively return to eat if I wasn't given a credit benefit. There were highlights, but unfortunately I had a bit more to critique than to praise :( For the items I have tried, such as the bacon egg & cheese sandwich, the bun was way too big to the point that taking one bite, I felt majority of what was in my mouth was bread which made it hard to chew, so I ended up eating all ingredients separately. The bacon, avocado, and eggs themselves inside tasted good, though, just as a combination, maybe using a smaller sandwich bun would be good, or maybe even burger bun like brioche bread. I also had the double patty burger, which my server told me was well done, and she wasn't kidding. It was so well done to the point that the patties had absolutely no juice. They were extremely overcooked and dry and were really thin, so even though the fries were great, the burger unfortunately was very subpar. Maybe making the patties thicker would help (unless they don't grind their own meat to make the patties). The avocado bacon chicken club was pretty good! That sandwich bun was a lot more chewable, and as a result I had very pleasant bites! The chicken was dry, but it was chicken breast, and I completely understood! My partner who was with me had the other main dishes in the photo and she described everything as "nothing special" which meant that they were not bad, but not something that made her wanted to proactively return for them. She gave a lot of praise on the chicken apple sausage, though! I had some and I would agree. It had savor and spiciness simultaneously. I enjoyed the desserts! Both the mousse parfait and the créme brûlée had layers of flavors because of the ingredients they had. The mousse had three layers and I could taste each layer of flavor and texture with one spoon. The lavender and orange taste were both very obvious in the créme brûlée and as a créme brûlée maker, I enjoyed it very much! Overall I would say I wouldn't make a trip out here just to have food from this establishment, but the food definitely tasted good enough for me to return if I was given another credit when I return to the Art Hotel! read more

We were super excited to try this place because of the rooftop patio -- unfortunately, that was the only good part of our experience. I ordered the burrata for $18 (typical for Denver) and was brought a sad plate of some cheese and rock hard crostini. I do happen to know the difference between toasted crostini and bread that has gone stale and then been toasted. My boyfriend's burger (ordered medium), came out past well done. He was starving so he ate it, but I sent mine back and asked (for the first time in my life) to have it taken off the check. The server was super nice about the whole thing so I can't really speak to the service other than the fact that my boyfriend finished his overcooked burger before anyone asked how our meal was. Wow what a find! While visiting Denver I was in search of a place that was nice enough for our anniversary dinner but served a vegan dish that was worth it. We were very impressed with the food, tried the crispy brussels, husband got the scallops and I had the mushroom polenta!! We had a couple desserts too, vegan option was sorbet which was delicious! Just by chance we picked a great time to dine because we got the perfect spot outside on the terrace and as the sun went down the fire pit really added to our special evening. The hotel feels just slightly better than a holiday inn although advertising as the number one hotel in Denver. The place was completely empty at 7:30. By 8:00 three more guests joined but it is safe to say this is not a vibrant roof top meal. Our server, although airing on the side of polite never quite gave us a warm and welcoming experience. As someone that is aware of a difficult allergy I was hardly offered any alternatives which raises the wuestin of is "food made to order." Lastly, my $40 steak was cold and as I recall the server never asked how I liked my steak again begging the question on how fresh the food is. I am not saying be pertinacious and avoid this place but for a $200 meal you can get much better in Denver. I would never want to tear down a business and I am aware that's exactly what I'm doing, but I am disappointed with the price and experience. read more

I recently stayed at the Art Hotel and dined at the Fire Restaurant for my arrival night dinner and breakfast each day of my stay. I had the steak frites for dinner and the food arrived very quickly. The steak came with a variety of dipping sauces, including a chimichurri, an aioli and a cream horseradish. Pretty good. Breakfast was decent but with some flaws. The English muffin for the breakfast sandwich was day old and dry, if not days old and not well toasted. The sausage they use for the omelet tasted "old." And the omelet was over greased in the cooking process. I can overlook the flaws in the food but I cannot overlook the lack of sanitary practices: I witnessed a staff member lick his finger to pick up a menu for the guest before me. I came to Denver to visit for a long weekend and was staying in The Art Hotel. I saw the three star review and came in with low expectations...what a fantastic surprise! I ordered the avocado toast and it was one of the best I'd ever had. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant (nice elevated panoramic view, indoor and outdoor) and my server Jess was wonderful. In fact everyone was extremely kind. I loved that avocado toast so much I came back the next morning and ordered it again. Equally fantastic the second time. As a bonus, I stopped by late one evening to grab a quick takeout order because I didn't otherwise know the area. I asked someone up front about the quesadilla...he played it down and said there were better options...I ordered it anyway, and it was amazing! Honestly only came here to use our hotel daily food credits. We came here for drinks add dessert after dinner one night. The ambiance was really nice and I love the outside seating area. The drinks were good but they were out of alot of ingredients even tho it was only about 7pm. We also ordered the chocolate cake and it was huge and wayyy too decadent for my taste. The lil glob of ice cream it came with was very good tho. Then we came for breakfast one day and ordered a Greens smoothie which was decent and the Benedict which was also not bad.
