I had complimentary breakfast and brunch for two at FIRE Restaurant & Lounge during my stay at The Art Hotel in Denver, and honestly? I was pleasantly surprised. Not going to lie--I was skeptical at first based on the ratings, but my experience lined up with what some of the reviews mentioned. While I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here as a standalone destination, for a complimentary hotel restaurant experience, it was fantastic! My first meal was a weekday breakfast (ends at 10:30 AM), and I ordered the Eggs Benedict with steak. It was flavorful, filling, and a great start to the day. The next two meals were brunch (served until 2 PM--which was clutch because one day I barely made it back in time!). Both times, I had the steak frites with garlic parmesan fries, and let me tell you--the steak was perfectly cooked, and those fries were dangerously delicious. One brunch meal, I treated myself to a cucumber cooler with vodka--and wow. It was so smooth I had to ask the server if it actually had alcohol in it (it did). I also tried their pumpkin spice and hazelnut lattes, both of which were solid. Overall, I really enjoyed all of my meals here--especially the steak frites. The outdoor seating area looked beautiful too, though I didn't get a chance to try it. FIRE isn't a must-visit Denver destination, but if you're staying at the hotel or nearby, it's a solid option with good food, good vibes, and a few standout dishes worth returning for.

We ate breakfast here a few times and dinner one night because we were staying in the hotel, and we enjoyed it! The large windows and rooftop are beautiful, the space is really open and clean, the service was good, the drinks were decent (I really liked their smoothies in the morning too), and I liked their home hot sauce!

Excellent large bar with TVs. The food itself is not bad. The French dip tasted well but the au jus was not great... fries were ice cold. Waitress was so nice so it makes up for it.

Fire has some fire views! It's a vibrant part of town and a great place to bring visitors to show off a little of our beautiful city. However, Fire was a let down in terms of service. I made a reservation weeks before, dealing with Tobias who was fantastic and accommodating. Though at the restaurant, the maitre d' wasn't very friendly. He argued my outside reservation request, even though there was plenty of seating available. Our table service was poor too. I was hoping for a gluten free vegan dessert, but our server couldn't answer my questions about the menu. He also spilled my friend's drink, apologized, but didn't offer a replacement. He seemed irritated. For a restaurant of this caliber, he was a weird fit. Overall, none of the staff seemed pleasant. I was hoping to impress my overseas visitors, and while they loved the ambiance and seemed happy with their food, we agreed that the service was disappointing.

Good drinks and tacos. We definitely want to visit again and try out some more of the menu items. Drinks were solid. I wasn't a huge fan of the fish tacos but they were a good price and a lot of food. The fish itself was cooked well I just didn't like the sauce on them but that's just a preference thing. The service was solid here as well and I look forward to coming again with Crystal and trying out the patio as well on a nice night.

Wow! I knew this place would be good but it was actually FANTASTIC. Staff were already so kind and patient when we walked in, and the atmosphere was so classy yet very cozy to dine in. Most importantly, the quality of the food is so superb it truly matches up with the price you pay. Steak frites were good but oh my gosh the salmon dish was flawless! The salmon melts in your mouth, the Brussels sprouts were crispy and tasty, and the quinoa isn't overly dry and tasteless and instead is up to par with the salmon. Definitely coming back to try their cocktails and other food items

Fantastic experience -- the steak fries quickly became one of my favorite dishes. The bar has a great vibe, and service was attentive and friendly. I wish I had more time to try more of the menu. Having such a good restaurant right in the hotel made breakfasts, drinks, and dinners super convenient. Excellent all around.

We popped into Fire Restaurant while going to the Chalk Art Festival. It's close by all the museums and art events so it's a great restaurant and bar to do in between all the fun. It was in between lunch and dinner and they were preparing for an event. But we still were seated and got to try a couple drinks- a margarita and a frozen rose. We had a couple free drink coins to use which we received from a festival before and they gladly took those no problem. We tried their fish tacos. The fish was good I wasn't a big fan of the sauce used on the fish but that is just a matter of taste. The portion was big enough to share for our quick pop in. The drinks were perfect though. Ryan said it was the best Margarita he's had in Denver. I also enjoyed my frozè. The service itself was top notch. Very attentive to us the whole time even though they were cleaning up from the last party and preparing for another event that day. We will definitely be coming in again soon and would love to try out the patio area when it isn't reserved for a party and would love to try some more of the foods and other cocktails.

Guests of the Art Hotel in Denver, my husband and I enjoyed Fire for dinner on a Saturday night as well as a brunch on Sunday. Though perhaps a titch under-seasoned, we enjoyed the food and were definitely impressed by the high quality service. For dinner, we split the steak and salad, and had one drink each. Everything was good...the only constructive criticism I have is that a variation of steak sauces is badly needed. Their "Fire blend" / Heinz 57 and BBQ was not the best.

Yes, that little brown square is the salmon on my Cesar salad....seriously???

First, this place is beautiful! It located on the 4th floor of the Hilton Art hotel. Lovely outdoor patio, great views through clean glass windows from the inside dining room. Our waiter, William, was wonderful. Everyone in our group said their food was tasty. However, their menu is way over priced for what you get. We did not order from their $36 dinner selections because we saw some of the plates coming from the kitchen and decided to instead go with the salad plus protein. I ordered the Caesar plus salmon, which tasted good, but the salmon was three small bites, about 2/3 of a business card in size, maybe 1/2" thick. Seriously? (Photo) so, our bill was about $170...and we had salads....lol....no. Sorry, Fire, you're just not worth it. Won't be back, too many other great choices in downtown Denver.

Calm relaxing spot with great atmosphere for a first-class brunch after a hectic, exhausting morning. After the great food and welcoming staff am now rejuvenated and ready to head for DIA. Highly recommend Fire (and Art Hotel as well)!

During my stay at the Art Hotel, I was given a lot of credits to dine at this restaurant via my American Express benefits, so I have decided to give this place a try, and I was able to come here for brunch on both Saturday and Sunday, as a result trying a lot of items on the brunch menu. Overall I think majority of items are not bad, but not anything I would proactively return to eat if I wasn't given a credit benefit. There were highlights, but unfortunately I had a bit more to critique than to praise :( For the items I have tried, such as the bacon egg & cheese sandwich, the bun was way too big to the point that taking one bite, I felt majority of what was in my mouth was bread which made it hard to chew, so I ended up eating all ingredients separately. The bacon, avocado, and eggs themselves inside tasted good, though, just as a combination, maybe using a smaller sandwich bun would be good, or maybe even burger bun like brioche bread. I also had the double patty burger, which my server told me was well done, and she wasn't kidding. It was so well done to the point that the patties had absolutely no juice. They were extremely overcooked and dry and were really thin, so even though the fries were great, the burger unfortunately was very subpar. Maybe making the patties thicker would help (unless they don't grind their own meat to make the patties). The avocado bacon chicken club was pretty good! That sandwich bun was a lot more chewable, and as a result I had very pleasant bites! The chicken was dry, but it was chicken breast, and I completely understood! My partner who was with me had the other main dishes in the photo and she described everything as "nothing special" which meant that they were not bad, but not something that made her wanted to proactively return for them. She gave a lot of praise on the chicken apple sausage, though! I had some and I would agree. It had savor and spiciness simultaneously. I enjoyed the desserts! Both the mousse parfait and the créme brûlée had layers of flavors because of the ingredients they had. The mousse had three layers and I could taste each layer of flavor and texture with one spoon. The lavender and orange taste were both very obvious in the créme brûlée and as a créme brûlée maker, I enjoyed it very much! Overall I would say I wouldn't make a trip out here just to have food from this establishment, but the food definitely tasted good enough for me to return if I was given another credit when I return to the Art Hotel!

We stayed at the Art Hotel before leaving Colorado and had dinner at their restaurant. They had the best cocktails and one specifically had glitter in it, what?! The drinks were very artistic and also very delicious. Food and service were top-notch. We sat outside and were able to enjoy their outdoor fire to warm up. We look forward to staying at the hotel and eating at the restaurant on our next trip! Highly recommend :)

After reading other reviews and checking out photos beforehand, I knew the Colorado lamb was a must-order. It's not something I usually go for, but it ended up being my favorite dish of the night. Absolutely worth the hype. We also ordered the birria short rib and hickory smoked picanha, and both were solid choices. The shrimp and corn grits were amazing, and I really loved the aged cheddar mac and cheese. Other dishes like the chickpea croquettes and the chili relleno were also pretty good and rounded out the meal nicely. The wait staff was fantastic. Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has a cool, lively vibe. The only minor downside was that the outdoor heaters were a bit too hot, but that's a very small nitpick. Overall, an easy 5 out of 5 stars. Great food, great service, and a place I'd happily come back to.

Date night with another couple and were excited to try Briar Common Brewery. First - super cool…read morebuilding. Love the vibes, the interior decor and second floor + outdoor patio options. We didn't take advantage of the patio vibes or rooftop deck with a fire pit, but this is still on our list! While waiting for a table, we cozied up to the bar and ordered drinks. One of the bartenders noticed I ordered the hibiscus margarita and asked me, offhandedly, if I was a fan of spice. Yes, please. With that, he cancelled my order and made me something "not on the menu" but what I called the "Patrick special." So good. Thanks, sir! We ordered burgers and shared their buffalo cauliflower starter. This, my friend, was absolutely amazing. Loved the buffalo spice paired with the bleu cheese. Easy way to enjoy some veggies. And along the same theme, I ordered the Buff and Bleu burger. This was so good, so flavorful and so messy. Don't judge me, but I resorted to using my fork, lol! It was so well balanced. Will have again. Parking here means street parking, but there were plenty of open spots on a Saturday night. The walk was nice. We can't wait to return, maybe on a game day, or maybe to enjoy Sunday brunch on the rooftop. Maybe a sunset for another date night. With this level of yumminess, the possibilities are endless.

We came to Briar Common the day after moving to Denver, and it ended up being exactly the kind of…read morespot we needed after a long weekend of hauling boxes and settling in. Great location, relaxed vibes, especially on a Sunday evening. The beer was solid, but the food stole the show (mostly across the board). Most of our group was happy with their dishes. I had the steak sandwich with a side salad, and the sandwich was top tier. I'm a sucker for a good sandwich, and this one absolutely hit the spot. It was also pretty large, which made it more of a fork-and-knife situation than a handheld one, but no complaints there. A few people in our party upgraded their sides to the sweet potato fries, which were next level. Perfect balance of crispiness with a hint of sweetness that made them stand out. One miss in the group was the mac and cheese; my sister ordered it and wasn't a fan, felt it was too liquidy/runny and underwhelming compared to everything else we tried. Only minor knock overall was that the kitchen was pretty slow, especially considering it wasn't very busy late on a Sunday evening. Not a dealbreaker, but something worth noting if you're in a hurry. Overall, great first Denver meal; good beer, mostly good food, and a relaxed spot that made for a solid welcome to the city.

The food, the service - I couldn't have asked for a better experience after a prior evening letdown. I'm not a chicken lover but the chicken salad sandwich was phenomenal. It was well balanced and the focaccia delic. My absolute favorite were the donuts, I could swim in that compote. Every dish was spot on and I'd absolutely return. Thanks for the Texas inspired margaritas Joe

The server gave us a lot of info like telling us which food dishes were James beard award winning. The breads were yummy but very small and the server came around to distribute it to us individually. We tried the fresh bacon first -- it's basically a piece of pork belly in a garbanzo bean mush with butter / oil around it. I liked the bean mush the most, it added a lot of flavor to the pork. The pork is actually pretty similar to a piece of Kalua pork, we were eating with some Hawaiians and they thought it was just like kalua pork minus rice. I ordered the artichoke tortellini but it was extemely rich and I was a bit shocked by how creamy it was. Served with small pieces of artichoke hearts and some cheese. I found it was best if you ate it with a bit of the broth as it adds a lot of flavor that balances the super creamy tortellini. I loved the dessert-- it's basically a chocolate cake with raspberry sauce. Some of my table mates ordered the peas and carrots dessert and it looked really interesting kind of like a salad. I took off a star because they seemed to keep clearing only half the table and taking away our silverware without giving more. We found ourselves short of utensils a few times! There could also be more clear signage about where the bathroom is.
