Creme brûlée the best ever!! Mushroom crepe appetizer so delicious! My husband loved his gnocchi. The service very helpful. Love the ambiance. We had just arrived and were so tired. We felt comfortable and welcome here. The food was so satsfying and uplifting. read more

Amazing. Amazing good. Excellent service. Amazing. It's fun to watch to chefs go during busy dinner time. Caprese is large and fresh and divine. Bucatini is rich and al dente and perfect. Love this place. Jose my server was awesome. read more

Went for happy hour and got the brussel sprouts (amazing), bruschetta (great), and margherita pizza (good but small). The atmosphere was fun, but for the prices and size of portions, I wouldn't go back. There were flies like little gnats around which sort of killed it for me. read more

Some of the best food and service we've ever had! My wife and I were here on business and we love Italian food. Our server, Brian, was so helpful and attentive, it made the dining experience all that better. We had some special requests and Brian took the time to accommodate all of it. That brings me to the food. We started with a grilled Caesar Salad. What a concept! It had so much flavor and was something we both enjoyed. We had some special instructions for Chef Jared since we are eating keto and watching our carbs. He nailed the salmon and short ribs and the side vegetables were a great compliment to the main dishes. The short ribs melted in our mouths and the salmon was perfectly flavored and cooked. This is one of the finest dining experiences we've ever had. ALL staff were on point, from filling our water glasses, to keeping our table cleared at just the right time. This will be a must stop anytime we are in Denver. We just can't say enough about Brian, Jared and Panzano. read more

Goodness Panzano where have you been all my life? How could i possibly have overlooked you for so many years? You let me make an Open Table reservation for 20!?!?! Your entire staff was pleasant and helpful when we arrived, our table was ready on time (and lovely by the way), our server Kris was phenomenal, totally patient with a huge krewe of birthday brunchers hanging around for hours and hours, food was amazing, drinks were delicious. Best place to bring a large group I've been in a long time, I'll definitely be back! read more

Really really great night with friends from the conference we were attending. Packed restaurant. Great table and my seat faced the busy open kitchen where the magic was happening. Our waitress was awesome I have to say. So natural and also efficient. The food was good. Started with drinks all around. Beer selection was a bit limited I thought but everything was on a iPad which was pretty cool. Appetizers of Brussel Sprouts which are all the rage right now and a flat bread with ham. Very tasty and passed around. I had the special which was a nice hunk of tenderloin with farrow and veggies. Excellent and cooked perfectly. They were helpful with my wife's choices but sometimes it seems that one gets punished for having an allergy. Come on folks it is an allergy which is real. Oh well not sure that will change. The folks at the Rialto went out of their way but. The evening went by quickly. The desserts were good. Butterscotch pudding within sea salt and a cookie, a trio of sorbets and a Tiramisu. All were tasty. All in all a great night out in a busy downtown Denver. read more

Came here with a friend for Happy Hour (2:30-6:00pm) because I saw that it was rated as one of the best happy hours in Denver by a few different sites. My friend had a couple beers, at $4 each; they have $6 glasses of wine and $6 cocktails. I ended up getting a Manhattan (house-made and barrel aged) for $9, which normally goes for $15. Also had a couple of happy hour appetizers, the brussel sprouts and the pastiche (meatballs with tortellini). What was the most impressive part of Panzano was the extensive list of happy hour options, from the beer/wine/liquor I mentioned above, to the generous selection of $5, $6, and $7 happy hour plates that are offered, ranging from almond with rosemary salt ($5) to pesto gnocchi ($7). The servings aren't humongous, but are consistent with the price. Good service and nice venue, as well as three outdoor tables for outdoor seating. Had a good happy hour experience here and would recommend to others. read more

After reading all the good reviews we were both very excited to try Panzano. The Yelp's didn't at all live up to the experience we had. The service was wonderful, with the staff being very engaging. But the food was off to say the least. My Insalata Mista - organic greens, sherry vinaigrette with gorgonzola was good so my hopes were, at this point, still high. But slowly my hopes were dashed as I tasted my entre of Pollo Val d'Aosta - a lightly breaded chicken layered with prosciutto and fontina cheese over mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus and found it to be dull and bland. Her Ravioli Salsiccia - House-made sausage and three cheese ravioli with a rosemary pomodoro was good but a very small portion and flat as crackers. The side of risotto was taken away early because it was undercooked and salty. And the polenta I ordered was dry and didn't taste very good at all so it sat there on the table less than half eaten. I don't know if it was what we ordered but I won't be going back if I ever make it back to Denver. read more

We went there last night with some family for restaurant week, my first time and excited to try the famous brussels sprouts. it didn't last long, my excitement that is. The service was excellent as well as a great wine list, some of which were on special. The menu looked great, a 4 course meal for $52.80 for 2. I have a feeling that the majority of the food was pre cooked, not to order. The Brussels sprouts were ok, not great. I should have ordered the mushroom crepe which was awesome. Ceasar griglia was good if a little messy, chicken marsala again average, veal picatta was very chewy. All in all average food with very good service. One last pet peeve, the room we were dining in which was part wine cellar part tv room, there was a 50" flatscreen with basketball on on the far wall. When I come to a nice restaurant the last thing I expect is a sports bar feel in an elegant restaurant. In defense of Panzano I expect that the food is better during non restaurant week. read more

The chef's tasting was amazing! This was literally the best meal I have ever had. We are from Atlanta but visit new cities on a regular basis and this is seriously my favorite restaurant by far. Our food was delicious! Our wine was perfect! Our waiter, Papa, was the nicest person you could ever meet. He even went out of his way to help us get a cab. Looking forward to coming back!! Thanks again for a wonderful evening! read more

Last time I was here it was wonderful but this time Ihad the pork chop and it was dry and over cooked. Also the flavor a just didn't seem to meld well together. It was very rich but just not satisfying in some way. I would also recommend that they remove the Rosemary from their dishes before serving. At times I got a huge burst of overwhelming Rosemary in my mouth when I didn't see a piece I missed and ate. Their pasta on the other hand is wonderful, really great . read more

I don't want to be scathing so I'm giving them 4-stars. My dish was delicious but for the portion to price ratio, I think it's excessive. My daughter's food was cold, but since our waiter was accommodating a large, businessmen's group next to us, she didn't want to bother him or wait for a new dish to arrive. My daughter liked the creme brûlée and that's a rarity for her. I finished with two bites of the tiramisu - should have passed on it...something was missing. For us, it was average. It's unfortunate because we're from Santa Barbara and the food there is hard to beat...Denver barely hits the curve in our estimation. read more

Excellent service - from the hostess to the waiter. Great food - the ravioli was excellent. Great atmosphere with an interesting music choice - sounds from Bon Iver and Spoon. I only wish they had a kids menu but they did a great job accommodating an entree to meet my daughter's needs. read more

Had the omelette of the day and a latte. The latte was ok, the omelette was very good. I don't usually like potatoes with breakfast but they cooked them very well, nice and crunchy. read more

I went to Panzano's about six months ago and had been very impressed with their service and knowledge of celiac disease. So I came back with my mother for dinner. I was sadly disappointed this time. Aside from the rather rude phone confirmation of my dinner reservation by one of the staff (who called me; I made the reservation online), the food was not good at all. Not only were the online menus different from what we were given at the restaurant (having menus in advance helps me decide what I will order to lessen the chance of getting sick), but the pasta that my mother ordered was incredibly salty and inedible (according to her; I could not taste it) and the polenta that I had was extremely greasy and tasted more like diner-quality grits. However, the bison and kale were okay, not great. The service was fair, though allowing three screaming children (who proceeded to run wildly about the restaurant floor and almost ran into a waitress) was probably not a safe move, as it was busy and the wait staff were carrying hot plates of food and hot coffee. On the positive side, the waiter/manager did comp us for the salty pasta and the brussel sprouts were still very good. I'm not sure that I would come back here again, as the food and ambiance have gone downhill and the current staff doesn't seem that knowledgeable about celiac disease (versus "diet gluten-free"). It's a shame because it was on my very short list of restaurants that I believed safe. read more

This place only gets two stars because the tirimisu was delish. Other than that, categorize this one under "Overpriced and Underfed". We went here for our Anniversary, and were severely disappointed. Waited 15+ minutes for valet parking service guy to come back - he was on a smoke break, nice. The restaurant was crowded and stuffy - a little energy is great but this place was just loud. We were seated in a booth as we had requested. The walls of the booth are so high you can't even see around the place - it's so claustrophobic it's uncomfortable. Our food was OK - I had the eggplant parmesan. The dish looked pretty but there's no substance to it. It needed a side of pasta or something to make it into a meal. It was a few tiny medallions of breaded eggplant, drizzled with green aioli of some sort, and served over a little ricotta and sauce. Even with an overpriced starter salad that was very boring, I was starving when we left. My husband had a chicken dish that was totally overcooked and dried out, and bland on top of it all. Our waiter took 14 minutes to come by and even offer us water or a drink. I also asked for butter for our cold bread and he never came back. We ended up asking a busboy who took 10 minutes to bring it. The service was absolutely horrible - and they brought our wine out (which we ordered with salad) after we already had our entrees for 15 minutes. The only saving grace was the tirimisu they gave us for free because it was our anniversary.,... It was the only good thing we had there. I do not recommend this place at all. Check out Brio or even Armando's for really good, really satisfying and fairly priced Italian Food. read more

Bottomless bellini's for $9 at brunch. Orange, cranberry, grapefruit, pear, peach, or pineapple. Pear is my favorite. I was here two weeks ago and had the best french toast I've ever had then got the salumi omlette today which was divine. The table shared a homemade pastry platter. I tried the chicken hash, eggs benedict, and strata in addition to my meal which were all awesome. My favorite breakfast place in Denver! I'll have to come back for some other meal next. read more

Great atmosphere. I'm from San francisco, where restaurants are small and cramped. PanZano was great in that it offered the option o a bustling dining area or quiet booths. The food was Creative and well executed, but not 5 star worthy. Still, I'll return. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. Our server was wonderful and nailed the timing the entire meal. The mushroom crepes are out of this world and the drink menu is on an iPad, complete with food pairings. We had the scallops and chicken marinara and they were both outstanding. One of my husband's and my favorite places to come when we are in Denver! The brussel sprouts keep us coming back-they are amazing every time! They also have a wonderful drink menu. My favorite dish so far has been a pumpkin filled pasta served with browned butter and sage. This place has never disappointed! read more

I have written a 4 star panzano before. We came back after 4 months and it was not a hit. The chef decided to exchange the mushrooms in the 5 star crepes with some chewier ones... NOT a change for the better. She also changed the batter which also did not improve the recipe. We made it clear to the waiter we would not be back until they went back to the original crepe recipe. This is a hit with customers...why mess with it without being sure its better??? We are now expanding out to other restaurants until Panzano straightens their issues out. We love their place as everything is organic so we hope they do. read more

I loved the service. The whole team worked very well from the maitre die to the wait staff to the cooks I had a blast. Wine was good. Veal was tasty. Lemon flavored dessert was solid. The heart of the resteraunt was the style and flair for unpretentious service. read more

After I flew into Denver and checked into my hotel I was hungry for lunch. I walked outside and on the same block was Panzano's. It was in between lunch and dinner time, so they were only open for happy hour with only a handful of patrons. I entered and inquired if there is lunch offered at this time. The server said that the happy hour menu has many items that I would like and gave me a menu and a table to sit at to review. She was right. I ordered the fried Brussel Sprouts and the veal canaloni. The Brussels sprout dish was the most delicious dish I ever ate hands down! Fried to a light crispness with a delicious apple cider reduction with chopped pistachios and julienned apple on top. It blew me away. I told my server I wanted the recipe. She brought me the recipe! I was shocked they gave that out! She said the dish is so loved that people ask for it all the time! My server Joan was so sweet. I asked her lots of questions about how to get around town here in Denver and she showed me how on my iPhone! Young people know all the apps and clever ways to get around. Luckily it wasn't busy and she could give me that special attention. I appreciated it. She didn't have to help me with Denver questions. They are lucky to have her. She was genuine. Outside of my great experience with Joan, the food was excellent! The butterscotch Carmel pudding was pure heaven. And the green tea was of high quality. I wanted to sit there and drink tea all afternoon. I will definitely bring my husband there when he joins me here in Denver tomorrow! Yum! read more

The service was just wonderful; we never wanted for anything. The fresh bread and roulade was great. The scallops were just drops from heaven! Can't wait to dine again! read more

Fantastic meal and great service. Had the scallops and they were delicious. Cannot wait to go back.

One of the best happy hours I've had. Try the menu small plates for just $4-5. Great Pollo over mashed potato and asparagus, Brussels sprouts to die for. Papardelle bolognese and Veal among my favorites. Make sure you try the fresh baked breads. read more

We went here for the third time a few days ago, and the food makes me wonder why we don't come three times every week (it's the downtown traffic and parking). The first time was with friends for Restaurant Week and the other two times for their fantastic happy hour. I had one of their $5 specialty cocktails, with pear vodka and elderberry liqueur--wow--and a truly delicious pizza topped with rabbit confit, gorgonzola cheese and toasted walnuts. My husband and I shared a mushroom crepe that tasted like essence of mushroom and light crispy melt in your mouth fried calamari. It got noisy as the place filled up, as to be expected in a bar, but I remember that the dining room, even when busy, had a sophisticated, quiet vibe. Loved it. read more

I love cheese and butter, but this just may be too much for even a fat kid. Service was EXCELLENT. We chose to create our own 5 course menu by splitting options that were not on the prix fix tasting menu and the kitchen, waitstaff and sommelier were more than accommodating in every possible way. We had calamari, caesar, rabbit gnocchi and the veal with tiramisu to finish. Why 3 stars? The food is too damn rich and I'm a total glutton/ fat ass. The salad was very overdressed. The gnocchi was great, but as is too often the case--the gamey taste of rabbit (otherwise just get chicken) was so overwhelmed with butter and oil that after a few albeit delicious bites i started to feel sick. Maybe the veal was ok, but couldn't taste it through the grease coat on my mouth. The tiramisu was awesome and actually tasted like the lightest thing on the menu. Neither of us could finish our split plate for any course. read more

I have been here many times for birthdays and anniversaries and have never failed to be blown away by the awesome food and service! Kudos to this environmentally responsible restaurant. We love the brussels sprouts and the grilled caesar salad, by the way. We even got a tiramisu for my husband's birthday (for free!). We will be back for years to come. read more

What a great meal! We celebrated a birthday and then went to see a play after dinner. The food is everything you have read about. OMG, the brussels sprouts were perhaps one of the best dishes I have ever had in my life! Having lived down South, I can tell you the char grilled oysters had an authentic taste. The main courses were great as well. We had the scallops and the meatballs. Jose was our server and he was awesome..ask for him if you go, you won't be disappointed! read more

Panzano is around the corner from my apartment so I knew it was only a matter of time before I would eat dinner. I took my Mom when she was in town for the holiday so I had really high hopes to impress her. We both enjoyed our meal but were hoping for a little better. We started with the brussels sprouts and the potato croquettes which were both delicious. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and salty with delicious green apples (which were not as crisp as apples should be but still good) and croquettes were good but a bit overseasoned. For the main dishes we had the eggplant parmesan and the pistache. The homemade pasta in the pistache is to die for. So cheesy and delicious. The eggplant was nice too, however it lacked... something. For dessert we shared the butterscotch pudding which was absolute heaven, but presentation was a little off putting. Wine was nice too. Lots of Italian selections. read more

Mmm, left full but underwhelmed. Appreciated the homemade-ness of the dishes and the atmosphere is nice but on the whole didn't live up to expectations. Service was pretty good though servers could try to refill water without splashing us. The much talked about fried squash blossoms were overwhelmed by the cheese stuffing, and presenting two of them on a huge plate left us wondering if we were swindled somehow. read more

Best Caesar salad of my life! Carbonara was ok. Looks like a small portion but because of the fresh pasta it was very filling. Service was mediocre at best. We came in to be seated and told there were no openings so we could sit at the bar area where there were tables. We picked a tale and were then told we couldn't sit there but to go around the corner to another room. We sat at a window bar, but were then told that room dad no longer serving (7 on a Friday?) we finally were escorted to another hightop table. The waitress never told us the specials, slammed an image wine list on the table, came back a few minutes later and asked if we were ready for wine. We hadn't chosen yet, so she said she'd come back. It took a long time for her to come back at which we then ordered. Our salads came out before the bread (ok, but dipping sauce was amazing). Our entrees then came out. The waitress and really all the waitstaff were unfriendly. The bus boy actually came and wiped down the table while we were still finishing our wine! read more

I'm giving this restaurant two stars because the service and ambiance were OK. The food was a big disappointment. We had seven menu items - two appetizers and the $65 five course tasting menu. Every dish was overlooked, over spiced, excessively heavy. The mushrooms in the crepes tasted like they were dried and reconstituted, while the sauce was so thick and rich I couldn't eat but a bite. The veal was a tasteless brown lump. The salad was broiled lettuce - huh? Tasted like it. The pasta was unlike anything I've ever had. An amorphous lump, and the "meatballs" were highly spiced ground beef. Hardly gourmet fare. But the worst was last. The lemon curd dessert was utterly awful. Here's my take: think of a cheap buttercreme cake from Safeway, with some pathetic candied fruit on top. Yuck! Save your money and eat elsewhere. read more

Ask for the gluten free foccacia bread...best. bread. EVER! I got the scallops with rissoto...delicious! All in all a great place! read more

I wish you could give half stars because I would give Panzano 3.5 stars. I wish I could give more, but one of the reasons we picked this restaurant for our date night was because of the very high reviews posted here. It seems that maybe going for Happy Hour or Restaurant Week would be a better value for the food. We paid "full price" ($140 for 2 people including 3 glasses of wine and tip) so I wanted to share our our less than mind blowing experience. I would have given it a "pretty good!" review except that my stomach has been a little upset since dining here last night. We started with the shared cheese and charcuterie platter which was nice but not out of this world. It came with toast, but we had to ask our waiter for the bread, which should have been one of the first things to come out. We then shared a bowl of the brussel sprout soup, which was probably my favorite part of the meal. Delicious with the green apple slices it came with. I had asked to taste the polenta (because I love polenta), but the waiter forgot, and I didn't care to remind him. My husband had the pastiche, which was very flavorful and well spiced. I had the butternut squash and goat cheese ravioli, but it was really quite greasy and I think that's what upset my stomach. I only had a couple of bites because we were hoping to taste the tiramisu. We had 20 minutes to spare before needing to get back to our car (you only get 2 hours of street parking in Denver! Really not long enough to linger over a meal). But our waiter didn't come to check on us in time, so we just asked for the check. I don't think we'll be back, as the meal just wasn't a "loved it, can't wait to go back" experience. read more
