I'm happy to say I've come back! I forgot to update but I've become a fan of their strawberry matcha, chai, and their burritos. Their strawberry matcha isn't strong in matcha but it has a fresh strawberry taste. They do prebatch their matcha if you cared or not. Service is as kind as ever! And I still enjoy coming by periodically. They validate parking as well c: ! Thank youuu
Kit Coffee sits in a business district and has a clean, modern vibe, with a great view and plenty of outdoor seating to relax. I usually go for the matcha latte with vanilla syrup and oat milk. The matcha is not the boldest or highest quality, but it still is present enough to make the drink light and refreshing. Service is nice, the staff are consistently friendly and quick with orders, which makes the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
I love coming here because it's convenient for me to walk to. They also seem to have seasonal speciality drinks which is nice. I tried the S'mores latte which was very good. I didn't think it was too sweet which was nice. Each time I've been here, the mornings are pretty busy with a crowd, likely because there's corporate buildings surrounding it so expect a small wait after ordering.
I visited KIT Coffee for the first time recently and really enjoyed it! I ordered their strawberry matcha and my boyfriend ordered the salted maple matcha latte on their seasonal menu and both were delicious, it was the best strawberry matcha I've had in a long time! The strawberry flavor wasn't artificial or overpowering. The shop itself is really cute, but the area is a business center and parking can be difficult.
I enjoy going to the location at Newport but I wanted to come try the one at Irvine. My cousin and I went and she got the strawberry Wild Latte Iced and I got a Cold Brew! The coffee shop is located in a business center but they validate parking for 90min. You just have to make sure you park in the 1920-2010 parking structure. The inside is small but they have a lot of seating outside!
I've been here twice. Both time there was a line but it was moving fast, I absolutely love the ambience and the outdoor seating area. I got lavender skies drink - hot- and it was yummy. The staff were also very friendly. Today I got the same drink, and accidentally spilled it outside. And when they found out they made me the same one complimentary - that's outstanding customer service. I highly recommend them and their service.
Great study spot with several tables and interesting seasonal drinks. Parking wasn't hard to find. They don't have a restroom within the cafe itself but there is one around the corner which you just need to ask the code for. Tried the Boysenberry Matcha drink and enjoyed their housemade boysenberry cream. Arugula salad is a bit overpriced but it had a specific lemon pepper seasoning that made this addicting.
Trying a new matcha place in Irvine called KIT Coffee. I believe this is an expansion from another location at Newport ... still trying to figure out the parking logistics st this location. It is a little bit inconvenient as there's No immediate parking since it's in an office building setting. Everywhere is a red zone, so please park in a garage and get validation. KIT Coffee have a matcha call it 'Thank You Berry Matcha,' (hahahah) and notice another twist where'Boysenberry Matcha" was also available. Mentally, I flipped a coin and decided on the berry decide for me (for today). I like it but should had ask for half sweet. The matcha is delicious and tastes strong which I like. For lunch, I tried the cinnamon brûlée toast.....again a tad too sweet but different so had to try it. Strangely, I was drawn to the utensils/napkins -station so cute setup that's like a kitchen counter. :)))
I don't know what possessed me to order a strawberry matcha as someone who usually thinks they're too syrupy sweet but I actually really enjoyed theirs!! They had like 3 variations though so i liked the "triple double matcha" which I believe was seasonal? Not aptly named though because the name did not really indicate it was strawberry forward lol. It was well balanced though Also loved the breakfast burrito! The filling to tortilla ratio was perfect. The space was cute & small but a tad hard to find in the business center and parking was inconvenient (paid).
Tried the famous KIT strawberry matcha , ube matcha , s'mores cookie and brûlée toast. The strawberry matcha is super sweet, I asked for 1/2 and I feel like it was still sweet. The triple matcha or something it was good but again , sweet. The cream top (strawberry) is good. The ube drink is good. Taste like all the other ube drinks I've had. The s'mores cookie wasn't the greatest, it was hard and just tasted like an old chocolate chip cookie. The toast may have been the best part even though it was okay- . Service is good, and the space inside is limited but there's a lot of outside seating since it's in a company complex ? I'll go back and try it again but I think it's overhyped. And overpriced.
I wish I liked this place more than I did. I got an iced matcha latte with oat milk. By default, it comes unsweetened and they let you know that. It's a little pricey but expected for an Irvine coffee shop. First of all, I felt like they didn't actually put oat milk because it tasted and the heaviness of it felt, like whole milk. Second, the matcha flavor itself was not good. It was weak and even then, not a good flavor. I can't remember the last time I didn't finish a matcha but I threw about half of this one out because the flavor genuinely wasn't enjoyable and I thought it might be real milk. Enough to say, I most likely won't be back.
KIT coffee is by far my favorite coffee chain in the OC -- whether you like matcha, coffee, tea or even an avocado toast, this place has it all. My favorite drink is the Iced Strawberries Wild Latte. It's a seasonal drink priced at $7.50-8.50 (so going to be super sad when it leaves!), and the strawberry cream top is absolutely amazing. Their Purple Dream drink ($7.50) is also delish, and their matcha is nice too! The drinks may be pricey compared to other cafes, but the drinks are too good, so I'd say it's worth it. The service is great too -- the workers here are friendly from the time I went and you get your drinks pretty fast. The inside is also super cute with a decent amount of seating, and they have cute items you can buy. As for the location, it's a little odd since it's hidden in between some corporate buildings, but all you have to do is park in one of the structures and walk to the cafe. They also validate your parking (up to 90 mins I think) for you. They're also only open on the weekdays, but if you need KIT on the weekend, the Newport location is also there for you. :)
KIT coffee is such a special find for quality matcha! I am picky when it comes to matcha, but it truly passes the color test and quality of matcha used! It is tucked away surrounding businesses, but also good to note that they do validate the parking for the structure behind! We went around 3pm and the lines were out the door! Nonetheless the ordering and receiving my drink was fast and friendly. The cafe itself is small and probably not the best for studying, but good to hangout outside! I opted to get the strawberry matcha. I liked how they used strawberry jam mixed in the milk instead of just jam seperately. The drink itself was sweet and the matcha itself was strong! Would highly recc and am excited to try their other drinks! read more

Do not come to this location unless you want to get a whole group of corporate girlies to cut you in line without saying anything to you! I was actually appalled at the lack of common sense they had. There were about 8 people who cut me in line. Didn't say anything, won't be coming back. This location is the most inconvenient place for a coffee shop and some of the people that work in the surrounding buildings obviously do not have manners. Please save your time and go to the Newport location. read more
10:52 am, random Thursday in January.... They are packed and the line is wrapping around the little store. Kit Coffee is my life raft in the storm that is corporate work life. The store is located inside a business complex. I usually order just a hot latte with whole milk when I need a caffeine fix. Smooth and satisfying and gives me enough caffeine to tackle the rest of the afternoon. They offer pastries and an extensive food menu, which I have not tried. Croffles offered after 1pm. Menu included in the pic below. I work in this complex so parking is easy and I walk over so I'm not sure how regular folks would park. The inside is small but there is a small seating area. Got the triple single matcha, I would rate it 8/10! It was good but I would probably get 75% sweetness next time. I really liked the strawberry cream it came with. Order online to save some time :) Parking isn't ideal but worth a visit! read more
The staff here is super friendly and the strawberry matcha was creamy and delicious! There's a large fountain outside so it's nice to drink your coffee or matcha next to it to enjoy the relaxing sounds. It's in a large business complex so you have to park in a structure, but they do validate for 1.5 hours. read more

My daughter and I had breakfast here yesterday morning. We arrived around 10:30. We parked in the structure adjacent to Kit. They validate parking up to an hour and a half which is nice. There was a short line but quickly became quite long. The staff was nice and the place is cute. There's very limited seating inside. We did manage to get a seat inside. There's a fair amount of seating outdoors. We both had burritos. Mine was soyrizo which was large. I liked the green sauce. The red was a bit too spicy for me. I also had a pastime jasmine iced tea. It was my first time here and I'd love to go back and try more items. The line was pretty long but our food and drinks came out fairly quick. It's super cute inside and they had a decent amount of seating. As far as what we ordered, the bacon breakfast burrito was really good. We also got the horchata matcha but honestly I wouldn't get it again because it just tasted like a regular matcha with a bunch of cinnamon. Great coffee shop with also great food! I was a little confused about where to park as Google Maps takes you right in front of it where there's no parking whatsoever because you're in a business area, but there is a parking structure behind it and they validate. Cute interior, nice ambiance. I got a matcha latte and the lox avocado toast. Both were delicious! A solidly good matcha. The lox avo toast was standout though, it was super delicious. I highly recommend. Pretty pricey but good quality stuff. read more

Came to Pro Photo and was looking for a local coffee shop and found the perfect one that was conveniently close by. I asked for a flat white with honey and they made it perfectly. The foam was silky and the milk was lightly and perfectly sweetened. My husband's boysenberry iced latte had lots of flavor without being overly sweet. Highly recommend this latte, too. Just outside is a calming fountain flowing next to comfortable outdoor furniture. read more
love the aesthetic and design of the cafe. so simplistic yet elegant. limited seating but so many seats outside. the staff were so friendly and welcoming! i also enjoyed browsing all the lil goodies for sale like cards, chocolate bars, stickers, notebooks! - thank you berry matcha (4/5): so good. hate any artificial fruit drinks but god this was fire. perfect balance of strawberry & matcha. the strawberry tasted like the korean milk cartons. amazing - matcha lavender milk (2/5): it def tasted more lavendery/ milky than matcha & then it started tasting like mugwort. i like mugwort but not like this lol i would come back again to try something else but i like the parking fee if you stay over 15mins :') read more

Drinks: OMG the flavorssss were both so so so good, but it kind of overpowered the matcha. We got the peach cobbler and the cornbread matchas. The cornbread tasted literally like cornbread and the peach cobbler literally tasted like a peach cobbler. However, we did notice that the matcha was squeezed out from a bottle, but that didn't deter us from disliking it. Service: Quick & they're super sweet Ambience: Gets kind of crowded even on a weekday morning. There is limited seating and doesn't seem like the best place for studying. Also, if there is validation PLS get it validated and don't be like me. I had to pay $6 just for 30 min :'( read more

Such a great coffee shop!! My strawberry milk latte was a perfect way to start my day ! It was perfectly sweet and creamy with a nice shot of espresso! No bitterness or burnt taste! My avo toast was fresh, yet still very filling and savory! The goat's cheese on top was fresh and creamy! The breakfast burrito with chorizo was so good and filling! That red salsa was amazing on there! It was so packed when we arrived, which made us a bit weary of how long it would take to get our coffee. However, they were got the line down fairly quick. And orders were coming out super quick! Great and fast service! I Definitely will be back to try some more of their amazing coffee flavors! read more

* Lavender Fields - 7/10 (i like combination of the lavender blueberry syrup w/ matcha, but the lavender blueberry flavor was very faint. i wish there was more of the flavor. the matcha was okay, but not as strong as i usually like my matcha. glad i got to try it, but prolly would not get again.) * Strawberry Alarm Clock - 7/10 (i thought the espresso was strong and had a really great flavor. the strawberry purée was nothing special. the flavors didn't really mix well, it felt like they were working against each other instead of combining well together. this was a good experience, but wouldn't get again. so expensive for a small cup of coffee) read more

If you are a fan of floral coffees, the lavender sky is amazing!! It is espresso with blueberry lavender milk, and it is so yummy! Some floral drinks taste like soap, but this drink was so good that I gasped when I took my first sip. The blueberry lavender milk was not too overpowering, and I was still able to taste the espresso. The inside of the shop is super cute, and there is a lot of seating outside. Service is quick, and they sell little goodies as well. There is parking in the nearby structure, and KIT validates for up to 90 minutes. read more

Got the purple dream with a shot of espresso. Came out to $10 with tip. Ube flavor was so strong! I loved it. Would totally go back. Only knocking down a star because I came in assuming that it would be a good place to work but they don't have outlets indoors, only outdoors. Located in a beautiful business area with lots of outdoor seating. There is a little walk from the parking structure to the shop, but it's beautiful to see the waterfall on the way in (make sure to get your parking ticket validated). We got the Ube Latte and another hot latte, both of which were amazing!! The coffee tasted delicious and they even added some latte art onto our hot drink :) Super cute coffee shop! read more

Tucked away in a busy business park, it's the perfect morning walk from the hotel I was staying at. A cute small shop facing a beautiful outdoor area with water features and ample seating. Currently obsessed with their horchata matcha, not too sweet, well balanced matcha with horchata sweetness. They have an extensive avocado toast menu! Each slice of toast is loaded with avocado, and toppers. My coworker ordered a breakfast burrito and we were so impressed how packed with fillings it was. read more
The matcha here is pretty solid, and I love the aesthetics of the interior and especially the green environment of the outside. There is a lot of outdoor seating and the workers are very friendly and helpful in giving recommendations. There is parking in the structure and you can get parking validation from the store. I tried their Thank You Berry Matcha which is matcha with strawberry oat milk. I took a sip before fully mixing it and I could taste the quality and rich taste of matcha. However, after fully mixing my drink, the oat milk completely overpowered the matcha and all I really tasted was oat milk and a subtle taste of strawberry and some matcha. I also tried their seasonal pineapple upside-down espresso latte and I enjoyed the strong taste of espresso and the good flavor of pineapple. Overall I wasn't a big fan of their matcha latte because of the overpowering taste of the oat milk, but I did enjoy their coffee. They have nice outdoor seating so it would be a great spot to do work or study. read more

The service was friendly and there was a lot of seating outdoors! I wish there was more seating indoors though since it was a bit chilly today. Also, they do validate parking but only for 1.5 hours! Got the strawberry alarm clock: espresso and strawberry oat milk Was good but not amazing. I like that it wasn't too sweet but for the price point was hoping for something standout. I love coming to KIT! It's close to my office and very quick getting you your coffee considering how many people typically order. I ordered the Boysenberry iced latte this time as it's on their seasonal menu and it was very refreshing with the cold foam on top. They also have a few tables and benches to sit at inside (or you can sit outside as well). It's really clean and trendy! read more
I've had this place bookmarked to try out, and with my first visit I had to try their seasonal Boysenberry Espresso Latte. First sip was mind boggling! I didn't think I'd fall in love with it. So make sure to try it out during this summer before it's gone from the menu. Funny enough I'm making this review while I'm waiting in the parking structure for them to open so I can try their other drinks especially the main menu. I'm a flat white girlie, unfortunately, they don't have that so I'll have to try their drip or americano next. The interior is chic and I adore it. I don't recommend working or studying here as there's no place for that. Since this is within the business district bldgs it's enough for an early morning pit stop or midday pick up. read more

I'm a sucker for anything with lavender and luckily KIT's lavender matcha did not disappoint. The only thing I didn't love about KIT is its location in a business complex/plaza. Luckily there's a parking garage only a short walk away. Cute coffee shop overall with quite a bit of seating both inside and outside. read more

My favorite coffee spot of all time. I recently moved out of OC & I miss it so much ! When I am in the area I stop by to grab an iced coffee. The "Strawberries Wild Latte" (iced) is my favorite. The strawberry cold foam is delicious. Their "Smashed Avocado on Toast" is also my favorite. I always order it when I go. The avocado is fresh & has that lemony taste which I love. I high recommend KIT Coffee ! read more
