Sweet and sour shrimp and fish soup

Our coworkers took us here for lunch recently. I've always drove past this place but never tried it until recently and I have to say I didn't miss out much. This place is average.. I've had much better food elsewhere in the area. Service was great though and some of the dishes were decent but overall I don't think they have that good of quality seafood here, I can taste the difference.. You won't get very fresh seafood here, maybe unless you get a lobster out of the tank they have but even so those poor things looked pretty sad. I prob would not come again on my own though. The only thing I liked from the family style that we had was the soup, and the veggies in the soup, not the seafood. The seafood in the soup tasted very fishy and strange.

I have been wanting to eat Khmer food and this place was good! I found all the dishes I wanted to eat. Beef sticks come with pickle salad and sambal. The flavor was perfect and everything was good. The Salaw Machu (lemon grass paste sour soup with beef). Reminded me of my grandma's cooking and it was perfect season. Love the water spinach it's my favorite veggie! The service was quick and excellent. There restaurant was big and spacious. I think they had a stage to host parties and event. The parking out front was limited. Not sure if they had more parking anywhere else. So if you're in the area stop by and give it a try!!!!

Came to a banquet of about 200 people. Parking was a nightmare. They do have valet service or you can park on the street. Not the safest neighborhood. The decor was really nice. The entrance has an area for photos. Food came out quickly and hot. Our favorite dish was the popcorn chicken. All the dishes were good. Enjoyed the food and ambiance. Not a fan of the neighborhood.

Standard Cambodian food but what makes it stand out is being a banquet restaurant with live singing and a dance floor. Favorite thing we ordered were the beef sticks - sweet and savory with a nice smokiness. Salaw machu kreung (sour lemongrass soup) tastes just like how my dad makes it. Lobster was a good price compared to other restaurants ($25/lb as of March 2025, lobster was about 5lbs). I would not get prahok ktiss again - flavor was lacking and doesn't really have a lot of prahok flavor. Parking lot in the front and back. Also a lot of street parking (not on Anaheim St but on the side streets). They do wedding banquets here so I would call ahead especially on Fridays and Saturdays to make sure the restaurant isn't closed for a private event. Overall, I would recommend people to come here to experience a bit of Cambodian culture. Don't be afraid to hop on the dance floor; some auntie/uncle will take you in and teach you how to dance.

This has to be one of my favorite Cambodian restaurants. Great food. Authentic. Well prepared. Great assortment. The beef skewers has to be our family favorite!

Been going here for 25+ when in town... this place is the weekend sometimes goes off with private events and live bands.... Many other dishes but I want the simple stuff.

I had driven by this restaurant so many times and decided to finally try it for dinner when people were visiting. We parked outside and when we first went in it was empty, which was a bit eerie, but a few more parties arrived as time passed. Service was fine. The restaurant is large and resembles a banquet hall, and was complete with live fish tanks. The menus were a bit dilapidated but they had a large variety of dishes. For our party of 7, we ordered the "A" Family Dinner set and added fried intestines, stir-fried ong choy, and beef chow fun. Portions were generous and prices actually very fair; we spent ~$150 for our group so just a little over $20/person. Plates and presentation were simple, but the food was tasty. We also got a pretty big container of steamed white rice. The flavors were definitely very Southeast Asian. I particularly enjoyed how crispy the fried intestines were without being oily. Overall, a solid dinner and better than I was expecting!

Quite literally one of my all time favorite spots to eat at. I eat at this place at least 3 times a week because it's that good LOL. The best servers and the owner/manager is extremely nice and wholesome. This is a banquet restaurant so I would advise for those planning on coming here to visit on non weekends to avoid overstimulating crowds. Food was extremely good with reasonable portions and pricing. Everything was made fresh to order and comes out very quick. Restaurant is very spacious with large dine in tables (great for those coming with big parties!) Anyone who says this place isn't good is lying!

I am pretty sure my friends and I dined in when they were hosting either wedding or vow renewal celebration party. We were seated at one end of the restaurant with all the other walk-in patrons and three quarter of the space were filled with family/guests for the event. We didn't mind it at all- actually thought it was cool to witness the event haha. The food was delicious. A little pricier than normal since this is a bigger sized restaurant and you can find same portion and type of food at a smaller establishment for a lower cost. The bbq chicken surprised us all with its crunchy texture and seasoning. That was the standout of the night along with the beef sticks. My only con like every other super Asian place is that I asked for water like 3 times and the lady literally didn't understand me I even made hand gestures of drinking and she just smiled and nodded and walked away lol.

The service here was good. I got all the food I could possibly eat for a day with a delicious taste for my tummy satisfaction. The atmosphere has its cool colors to make for a good party theme and relaxing vibe when you just want to chill in the background.

My go to place whenever I'm craving for Cambodian food. Although the restaurant need some repair and clean up a bit but the food is always good. My favorites are beef sticks and duck feet salad . They have so many delicious dishes from Cambodian noodles to fried rice. Pretty much everything on the menu are made fresh and delicious. Today I took my mom out to a late lunch around 2 pm. The service was fast and the food came out hot and fresh . Definitely will be back soon.

Cambodian restaurants are far and few between, even though Long Beach is home to Little Cambodia Town. Hak Heang is a staple for Khmer families to host weddings, but they are open all day for casual dining as well. I was craving fried large intestines, which they don't have at many places in Long Beach. Hak Heang makes great fried intestines. It is crispy and decadent, and is well complemented by pickled cabbage and fish sauce dip. I also got their stir fried chicken and ginger. It's good! I think Hak Heang is a great place to stop by if you're looking to eat some Cambodian food that you don't get access to in a lot of other places.

The soup seems very clean and rich with flavor. I would prefer to have some sort of pickled serrano peppers though to give it a citrus and spicy taste to balance out the savory soup. We also got some fried donuts which paired well with the soup. Very quick service and the food came out quick. Definitely a mom and pop shop but with a good amount of indoor seating as well.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on Yelp then headed here based on the pictures. There was plenty of parking when we arrived and we were seated immediately because there wasn't really anyone inside on a weekday afternoon. We couldn't decide between what to get because everything looked so good and we were hungry, so we ended up getting the beef sticks, beef larb and angel chicken wings. The beef sticks were probably one of the most flavorful beef sticks I have tried in my life. You're instantly hit with so many different flavors while it's hot. This is something we would get again. The beef larb was a little too tangy and sour for my boyfriend's taste, but he still enjoyed it. He also said the beef in the larb was a little chewy for him, but it wasn't a big issue for him. I enjoy eating sour foods, but it did have us sweating inside haha. I loved the combination of veggies mixed in with the larb and the cabbage definitely helped cut out some of the sourness. The angel chicken wings! Probably one of my favorites because of all the lemongrass and turmeric added inside. The chicken was crispy on the outside yet so juicy on the inside. I also like that they cut up the wings into pieces for you. I'm glad we can across this restaurant on Yelp and got to try it. Next time, I would try the soups like the babaw (porridge) or the nom banh chok (fish rice noodles) because they were items I was deciding between that's still lingering through my mind right now.
