I came here mainly to purchase their Cambodian rice sacks of 50 lbs . They do carry many imported varieties of dried fish , smoked fish , fish sauce , soy sauce , Cambodian style anchovies and many others ready to consume fried bananas, pastries , cold noodles dishes and hot plates . Service here has been exceptional , three of the ladies I encountered were friendly . read more

A pleasant surprise! I drive past by the restaurant all the time and finally got to try it today. Great and welcome by a nice lady and immediately sat down. The Ginger Chicken and Rice is tender and full flavor, loaded with bits and pieces of ginger. The Papaya Salad is fresh and crisp, loaded with shredded green papaya, carrots, tomatoes, crabs and topped with herbs. The dining area is small, but it doesn't feel cluttered at all. They sell freshly made a variety of Cambodian dessert at the counter. They are very good. read more

I recall the sour dish here and I was satisfied when I got this here. I would come here for this one dish that is different from what I have tasted and it's Cambodian. I'm pleased with the service too it's pretty fast and hospitable. The place is clean and easy to find a spot to eat. read more

Not sure what we did wrong, but we went to the Apsara Cafe today for lunch around 1:30pm. We walked in, there was one empty booth.! After a few silent moments a customer said, "just sit down". We sat down. 20 minutes later, no one had talked to us, nor in any way acknowledged our presence, not a menu, not even a "go away please"! Nothing! So we left, and wen to Sophy's on PCH and had a lovey meal with gear service from friendly people! I don't think I'll ever go again to this prejudiced restaurant! - Asara read more

My friend and I were denied service today around 1:30, July 9th, 2025. We walked into the dining room and three tables were occupied with one empty because customers had just left. We sat down at that table which still had dirty plates on it. Two waitresses passed us a total of seven times in delivering dishes to the other tables. A Cambodian woman customer went to the counter and pointed to us sitting at the table. When got up after more than ten minutes of waiting and left. Only that woman and her party apologized to us. We are white and feel ignored because of our race. read more

Needed some comforting soup. We past by this spot a lot so finally took the time to check it out. AMBIANCE: Parking: Plaza parking and if you really need to, street parking. Seating: Inside seating is usually for about 4 groups. Feels: It's in your grit and grind local area of LBC, moreover Cambodia town. The space itself is pretty nice. Clean, homages and decor to Cambodia culture, and two tv screens! Seems like this is a spot for locals. I can picture chilling out and enjoying a football game. FOOD: Phnom Penh Noodle (Recommend) This was pleasant. I wanted something soupy with natural flavors and this was it. Hearty and flavorful broth, chewy noodles, and a pleasant medley of different meats. Comforting for colds or upset stomaches in my opinion. Cha Kwai (Recommend) For something simple, this helps get you started. It's basically a savory plain fried donut. We received it cold but still had crunch, I should ask if they can warm it up. Beef Stew (Recommend) Deeelicious. So flavorful, very umami-ish with every bite/slurp. Broth wasn't too thick but still fulfilling. For something with a bit more flavor with every bite, this is your order. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Solid. Friendly and professional. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. I appreciate this spot. Comforting food, reasonable prices, and a relaxing vibe. There's a lot of soup spots but this is a good one. Till next time, Apsara Cafe. TIPS: * They do desserts too! read more

Authentic! I came for their rice porridge. Doing a to go. Will follow up with pictures. Porridge is my to go when craving something easy to eat and digest. I chose fish and chicken. They also have pork. This place might just become my favorite. I'm home now and both the chicken and the fish tastes awesome. The fish is blended with ginger and it's not fishy at all :) Definitely will go back for more! read more

When in the area, I love to try nom banh chok at different places. Small little cafe, definitely a hole in the wall so would just togo your food. Staff and cashier was super nice, too. The flavor and portion were good, I think for 2 orders it was $26-28. Wish they gave a little more noodles or veggies but again everyone makes this dish slightly different. I would be back to eat it again but I haven't had one that was OUT OF THIS WORLD yet. read more

How are they still opened? Lol, came in today and more than half of the menu items they didn't have! On the menu right beside the items had the word "NO" next to it. The prices are higher than other restaurants in the area. Bruhhhhh! I'm all about supporting small businesses, but you can't support them when they don't have anything lol Got up and left! What a Shame! Don't eat here. You'll be disappointed. read more

Houy Hok Apsaracafe, I have sent the owner several messages regarding the order of star Apple fruits that my friend placed on my behalf, but I have not received any response. I have received the order; however, half of the fruits are moldy and not fresh. I paid $68 for a box of 16 fruits, in addition to $25 for shipping, expecting to receive fresh produce. I was eager to support a Khmer business, but experiences like this tarnish the reputation of other Khmer businesses. It seems customer satisfaction and product quality are not your priorities once payment is received. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will not be a returning customer and would advise others to reconsider placing orders with you. I am sharing this experience to prevent others from facing a similar disappointment. read more

The service from the waitress was great! But with the owner the bald Khmer guy and his wife they are greedy and cruel! I asked the waitress do they let you keep the tips she said no.. the owners keep it themselves. Man we are Khmer the same people but Cambodians here don't help each other out in this town. He was staring back and forth while we was talking to her about the tips that was depressing to hear that the owners keep it for themselves and not allow them to share it. Some these Cambodian shops be greedy and mean sometimes not help each other out but be selfish about it. Idk why they still go to the temples and offer merits to the monks and Buddha when Buddha taught us not to steal and be greedy. read more

Hole-in-the-wall informal cafeteria with a selection of Cambodian plates. If you're looking for a casual introduction to typical Cambodian foods this would be a low-barrier entry place. Many of the items were out when we asked. We got iced coffee (with condensed milk) and two entrees. (1) a fish based soup with galangal and turmeric, served with noodles, cucumber, greens, fresh mint and fried banana flower shards to be mixed in, and (2) the egg-flour pancake stuffed with minced chicken, bean sprouts and served with lettuce and mild fish sauce/garnished with peanuts. Both were tasty and priced fairly economically. The eating experience could be made a bit more refined with slightly more neat presentation and table ware, but this is a casual place. I appreciate how authentic the tastes were and how friendly the culture is. The fresh green chillies, refreshing mint, all made for a good meal. Still I'm docking it because I felt there could be even more effort put into presentation and into the temperature of the entrees. Try them out for casual dining, they are a fun crew. read more

I used to love coming here (pre-pandemic). Unfortunately, this is not my first bad experience with this establishment since the beginning of this pandemic. I kept telling myself they'll work out thier kinks when they become fully staffed again, but today was my last straw. Food was not edible (see picture). It was NOT crispy/crunchy, but hard and chewy. Unbelievably chewy that I spat it out. As someone who cooks very often, let's just say this was not as fresh as it should be. read more

The food we had while we dined in, 2 orders of Hainan Chicken combo's, 1 Pad Thai and 1 Chicken Larb salad. Everything was excellent. The Sad News: - Their to-go version of the Hainan Chicken was VERY VERY sad - Their rice quality is different, not the fluffy SUN LEE Jasmine rice like they used to have - It had alot less chicken pcs than before (4 pcs very little meat, 1 organ or gizzard who knows...) - Missing all the PICKLES (this is my most favorite aspect of this meal) and the sliced tomatoes and cucumbers - Portion size got smaller on many levels, including the ginger sauce BOO HOO, BOO HOO. Giving this restaurant a one star because I can't write a zero star review. I am beyond disgusted of the owner's behavior towards my mom. My mom is a regular at this restaurant, and I am so surprised at the way the owner treated her. The owner gave my mom someone else's coffee that they didn't finish and acted like it was a new coffee that she just made. The owner took advantage of my mom's kindness and blindsided her. I have been to this place three times now. The first time I had a really good experience. We ordered two orders of Phnom Penh Noodle to-go. We were both pretty hungry so that could have been a factor of us thinking they did really well. Second time I ordered beef skewers, Phnom Penh Noodle and two orders of cha quai. Unfortunately they forgot to give us the cha quai. The beef skewers were undercooked which resulted with some portions of beef being chewy and off-putting. I was disappointed that they forgot the cha quai (which I usually use to dunk in broth), the noodles were delicious. The male staff working there was rude and not helpful. I spoke to him and he completely ignored me. I heard him speak English to his friend but I guess I wasn't worth speaking to in English. Third time we decided to dine in. My fiance ordered beef stew noodle and I got the Phnom Penh noodle and four orders of cha quai. My fiance is Caucasian, he tried to give his order to the server. She didn't even look at him and looked at me for help. Okay, I understand she doesn't speak or understand English but at least try to give him eye contact, please. I gave her our order and she didn't even take an order for drinks. I forget that at a lot of Khmer restaurants they give iced tea instead of water. We received our order and they shorted us an order of cha quai. We didn't want to ask for the fourth one. I look on the table to get some chili oil from the array of condiments that are usually located on the table. I was upset and concerned with what I found. The chopped pickled chilies were spoiled and instead of being in a vinegary sauce it was milky. The chili oil was no longer oily but a mass of chili. I was so upset I didn't even want to eat the meal. I thought of informing the server about the spoiled condiments but I didn't want to be met with confusion or apathy. I ended up using Sriracha in my noodles and ate as much as I could. We decided to add this restaurant to our DNR (Do Not Return) list. We tried, can't say we didn't. I think I should just learn my mom's recipes and enjoy Khmer food at home. read more

First time here but they just earned a fan/ follower. My family and I went here for late lunch early Sunday dinner and all orders were outstanding. Shrimp fried rice was the first dish out and the first dish out and from the smell alone we were all sold. I ordered the Lemongrass chicken. Powerful. Outstanding. Just a slight amount of heat from the chili without being overwhelming. I like the heat so I bite into the peppers and pile on the chili paste, but this dish was subtle enough with the heat that a rookie should be able to handle it. All dishes we ordered came w a choice of fried or white rice and soup. You might finish everything on your plate or fill up before it's time to leave, either way you will be satisfied. . read more

I love this place! The prices are low and the food is good. There is a small parking lot in the plaza it is located in. The spots labeled with, "Chinese food," are designated for Apsara's customers but you can park in any other spot too. This place serves the usual Cambodian restaurant food, pho and what you'd expect of Chinese fast food. There's also smoothies, "fraps," and boba drinks. I often come in the evening after work and there's hardly a crowd there. So if you want to skip lines and wait times, this is the spot to hit. It seems like not too many people know about the place. It's not even available as a location on Instagram even though it's been open for a while now. They accept cash and card. There's also a generic ATM inside. read more

Bad experience with booking some food for a later day. Horrible customer service. They blamed it on us for not picking up, but it was their fault to not write down the correct date.
