I love the consistency at Dan's. Whether I dine in or order delivery, the food always arrives hot, delicious, and generously portioned. My personal favorite is their chicken soup. It's light, flavorful, and incredibly comforting every time. The price point is also great, making it an easy choice for either lunch or dinner. I especially enjoy dining on their patio and taking in the view. While the staff is always friendly, service can occasionally feel a bit slow. Aside from that, it's a spot I genuinely enjoy and keep coming back to.

Such a solid restaurant. Every time I go, I'm pleased with the food. It's very modern and very Long Beach, but at the same time, it doesn't take away from how good the food is. The dumplings are really good and the service on top of it all makes every visit worth while. Highly recommend.

My sister was craving Din Thai but we didn't want to drive to Costa Mesa as we were already in the plaza. We tried this place for the first time and WOW soooo impressed. While this place is missing a full bar and dessert options, it kinda makes up for it with this scallion pancake. I could eat a truck load of that let me tell you. I will absolutely be back. Service was quick and the waiter was very nice. Great location for shopping and grabbing a good meal. Get a cocktail menu and chocolate dumplings pleassse

5 out of 5 experience. Janelle treated the wife and I great. Food was so tasty and enjoyed every bite. Loved the setting too. Can't wait to go again.

First time to this area in a long time!!! Wow has Long Beach changed!!! This new center was high end and reminded me of Pacific City in Huntington Beach. We were starving and the yelp reviews looked good for Dan Modern Chinese. We loved everything we ordered!! For a group of 5, the portions were split perfectly with 5 dumplings per order. Our favorites were the green beans, juicy dumplings and anything with the shirt rib, it was cooked so perfectly!! Service was so attentive, they have multiple servers service each table to grab away dishes quickly as the empty.

We came here to explore the marine area and Naples island and decided to try Dan as I was craving some dumplings. Overall I would say, nice modern space. The food was average tasting, but the menu had items that are my usual go to favorites. A bit in the pricier side but expected for this area. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

This is probably my 10th time here and my kids and I absolutely love it made it to our top 2 restaurants all time tried their chicken fried rice and I promise it's the cleanest and tastiest fried rice I've ever had I also have to always have the chili oil dumplings they're phenomenal as well as the pickled cucumber and don't let me get started with the whole team here From the amazing Anne to her staff Rudy and Caesar ! Will be back here again and again and again

If you're looking for a dintaifung dupe, this is similar but not totally it. The soup dumplings are good but the portions are weird. You can buy 3 or 5 dumplings (those are weird numbers). Most place sell ten as standard. The soup dumplings skin is good here, thin and holds well. Their steamed dumplings though, felt like frozen premade dumpling skins. They were tough. Sesame noodles lacked flavor but if you ask for some chili oil and add in some vinegar and soy sauce it's improved for sure. The Chinese chicken salad was a seasonal dish and we enjoyed this one. Overall the food is ok and kinda expensive for what it is.

It seemed slow but our hostess said they were busier than expected , probably because it was a Tuesday. There were some people but nothing crazy Our server was great from start to finish and helped up decide on what to get an how much of it since portioning is different here. The portions are shareable but nothing too crazy. Which was good as well as the price, which got me wanting to order more of different things to try out for everyone. This is place to go with more than just one or two. You can still very much enjoy it but a couple more people , whom are willing to share of course will help you get an idea of what to get. From what we ordered everything was good, something more than other. But surprisingly the seaweed salad I very much enjoyed as well as the broth to the oxtail. The udon noodles in their noodle dishes made it better since they are thicker. We did get some dumplings. They were very good especially the soup ones. If you are in this area of 2nd and PCH and in the mood for Asian fusion, this is a good spot to check out. And also a good area to hang out afterwards or go get desert somewhere else in the shopping area.

My first time here! I enjoyed a much needed solo date and finally got to try one of the restaurants I've always wanted to try on my bucketlist! The atmosphere was very lovely and the environment was not overwhelming. I came in a great time where it wasn't too packed. The interior was beautiful. Loved the half booth and half table seating. Cesar was my server. He was very kind and friendly. Anna, the manager, personally introduced herself and even tried getting to know me a bit. She even comp'd the pickles, which was very nice of her. I ordered Dan Dan noodles with pork, pickles, 3 pc. chicken steamed dumpling, and 3 pc pork soup dumpling. Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect! I know many others might expect more, but personally I don't want big sizes. I left feeling great - not feeling too full and not feeling still hungry. I will be returning back!

The beef itself was a little chewy and in large pieces. I prefer the meat to be cut a little smaller and would like more lettuce and cucumber. I got a little taste of the spicy fried rice, which was really good. Some of us ordered Thai tea and didn't expect what we received, which was the tea with a Thai tea popsicle. What a treat! The Thai tea itself was pretty standard, but that popsicle was like the icing on a cake. The places, modern and clean. Staff is helpful and nice. Everything was pretty good with my standouts being the hand-pulled noodles and the tofu & shiitake mushroom entree. You could tell the hand-pulled noodles were fresh and made by hand. The sauce on it was good but too salty. The tofu & shiitake dish was served in a savory and tasty home/brown sauce. The scallion pancake was good as well, just much thinner than other scallion pancakes. The Chinese broccoli was good, but I thought it was more bitter than usual Chinese broccoli dishes. We tried several things including the crab and pork soup dumplings, shrimp wonton in chili oil, house beef noodle soup, orange chicken, and walnut shrimp. Definitely a place you can easily have a family style meal at! Crab and pork soup dumplings - really good flavor, wish there was slightly more soup in the dumpling! Would definitely get again, especially if you get their HH price Walnut shrimp - my new favorite walnut shrimp in the area! These came out nice and fresh, shrimp was cooked well, sauce was good balance of sweet and savory Beef noodle soup - broth was surprisingly not as hearty as the deep color would make you think, but still very full of beef flavor. The beef was very tender, melt in your mouth! Noodles were nicely bouncy with mild chew. Good option if you are in the mood for noodle soup Orange chicken - unfortunately seemed to be a mix of freshly cooked and an old order as some pieces were warmer than others. Good flavor, but chicken inside the breading was quite dry. Wish it was a bit saucier Shrimp wonton in chili oil - to me had a strange aftertaste. It does have cucumber in the wonton - warm cucumber taste was not for me Inside had a rustic appearance with brick walls and industrial lights. The bonus was that they had a TV showing the NBA Finals when we arrived. Pretty nice touch and in the back of the restaurant so as not to distract everyone. We went with a couple of our favorite dishes to run along and the Chicken Lo Mein was pretty good. Crispy pieces of chicken and soft noodles and veggies to go with it. We chose to get Mongolian Beef and it was absolutely fantastic. Crispy celery, green onions and decent sized pieces of meat in a terrific sauce. I would love to try to replicate that. My wife wanted a shrimp dish so she ordered the honey walnut and it even looked good to me when they brought it. She loves egg rolls, so she got a four piece and said they were pretty good. My biggest wow of the visit was their vegetable fried rice. MY GOD. I dont know what they season or flavor it with, but every fork full of rice that i ate, it was this sense of flavor that reminded me of butter or something else. If it's busy, it can feel pretty cramped, and you'll probably have to squeeze between tables and chairs to get around. If it's not crowded though, it's much easier to move around. The service was fast, which I appreciated. The only downside was the food runner who brought out our meals. He wasn't very friendly and kind of just set the plates down wherever there was space, even on top of the plates we were already using.
