I love the consistency at Dan's. Whether I dine in or order delivery, the food always arrives hot, delicious, and generously portioned. My personal favorite is their chicken soup. It's light, flavorful, and incredibly comforting every time. The price point is also great, making it an easy choice for either lunch or dinner. I especially enjoy dining on their patio and taking in the view. While the staff is always friendly, service can occasionally feel a bit slow. Aside from that, it's a spot I genuinely enjoy and keep coming back to.

Such a solid restaurant. Every time I go, I'm pleased with the food. It's very modern and very Long Beach, but at the same time, it doesn't take away from how good the food is. The dumplings are really good and the service on top of it all makes every visit worth while. Highly recommend.

My sister was craving Din Thai but we didn't want to drive to Costa Mesa as we were already in the plaza. We tried this place for the first time and WOW soooo impressed. While this place is missing a full bar and dessert options, it kinda makes up for it with this scallion pancake. I could eat a truck load of that let me tell you. I will absolutely be back. Service was quick and the waiter was very nice. Great location for shopping and grabbing a good meal. Get a cocktail menu and chocolate dumplings pleassse

First time to this area in a long time!!! Wow has Long Beach changed!!! This new center was high end and reminded me of Pacific City in Huntington Beach. We were starving and the yelp reviews looked good for Dan Modern Chinese. We loved everything we ordered!! For a group of 5, the portions were split perfectly with 5 dumplings per order. Our favorites were the green beans, juicy dumplings and anything with the shirt rib, it was cooked so perfectly!! Service was so attentive, they have multiple servers service each table to grab away dishes quickly as the empty.

We came here to explore the marine area and Naples island and decided to try Dan as I was craving some dumplings. Overall I would say, nice modern space. The food was average tasting, but the menu had items that are my usual go to favorites. A bit in the pricier side but expected for this area. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

If you're looking for a dintaifung dupe, this is similar but not totally it. The soup dumplings are good but the portions are weird. You can buy 3 or 5 dumplings (those are weird numbers). Most place sell ten as standard. The soup dumplings skin is good here, thin and holds well. Their steamed dumplings though, felt like frozen premade dumpling skins. They were tough. Sesame noodles lacked flavor but if you ask for some chili oil and add in some vinegar and soy sauce it's improved for sure. The Chinese chicken salad was a seasonal dish and we enjoyed this one. Overall the food is ok and kinda expensive for what it is.

My first time here! I enjoyed a much needed solo date and finally got to try one of the restaurants I've always wanted to try on my bucketlist! The atmosphere was very lovely and the environment was not overwhelming. I came in a great time where it wasn't too packed. The interior was beautiful. Loved the half booth and half table seating. Cesar was my server. He was very kind and friendly. Anna, the manager, personally introduced herself and even tried getting to know me a bit. She even comp'd the pickles, which was very nice of her. I ordered Dan Dan noodles with pork, pickles, 3 pc. chicken steamed dumpling, and 3 pc pork soup dumpling. Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect! I know many others might expect more, but personally I don't want big sizes. I left feeling great - not feeling too full and not feeling still hungry. I will be returning back!

It seemed slow but our hostess said they were busier than expected , probably because it was a Tuesday. There were some people but nothing crazy Our server was great from start to finish and helped up decide on what to get an how much of it since portioning is different here. The portions are shareable but nothing too crazy. Which was good as well as the price, which got me wanting to order more of different things to try out for everyone. This is place to go with more than just one or two. You can still very much enjoy it but a couple more people , whom are willing to share of course will help you get an idea of what to get. From what we ordered everything was good, something more than other. But surprisingly the seaweed salad I very much enjoyed as well as the broth to the oxtail. The udon noodles in their noodle dishes made it better since they are thicker. We did get some dumplings. They were very good especially the soup ones. If you are in this area of 2nd and PCH and in the mood for Asian fusion, this is a good spot to check out. And also a good area to hang out afterwards or go get desert somewhere else in the shopping area.

chicken soup & soup dumplings I already ate one lol

I grew up having access to home made Vietnamese food. And when my absolute all time favorite…read moreVietnamese restaurant in HB closed their doors permanently, i was devastated. So, i went on the hunt for a new one. I recently found this Cyclo Noodles just down the street from my place. And today, i decided to give it a try. Cyclo Noodles is a casual and laid back, family owned Vietnamese and Cambodian restaurant in Long Beach, CA. It is situated at the traffic circle in the recently renovated shopping center adjacent to the Sprouts supermarket and other small restaurants. It is a self service model where you order first at the kiosk and take a seat. They have seating inside and outside. There is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. According to Google, it is their only location. it is known for its pho, noodle dishes, and other comfort foods. Their menu is varied with Vietnamese, Cambodian & Thai specialties including dishes such as pho (with beef, chicken, vegetable), vermicelli noodle dishes, and fresh spring rolls. Their Thai options include Pad Thai, Pad See Iew, and Chicken Curry Vermicelli. For Vegetarian options, they offer vegetarian pho, tofu spring rolls, and other plant-based options. They also serve Pineapple Fried Rice, Phnom Penh Noodle, and various salads. (See photos for full menu) Today, i placed my order on their website. It is simple and intuitive. The menu is easy to read and offers customization options with quick apple pay checkout. The service is quick and friendly and my food was ready faster than the time allowed. By the time i received my text message telling me that my food was ready, i was already in my vehicle and on my way home. I got an order of spring rolls with shrimp. You get 3 large rolls. I got an order of beef on a stick. You get 3 Sticks. And I got a Thai Iced tea. Overall Everything was tasty. The beef was somewhat tender and my only complaint is that half of my beef was marble (fat) and therefore inedible. Otherwise, that won't keep me from going back to explore some of the other items on the menu and i recommend trying Cyclo Noodles for your next Vietnamese food fix.

Lunch with some friends and this was their pick. It was a great one and I was very pleased with it…read more The parking was a little confusing as there was construction going on in the back area where parking and the front entrance is. It shares parking with a couple other business and the entrance is just off the alleyway off Carson. Construction in the back did halt some of the parking spaces and entrance on one side. I didn't know where the entrance was walking around the block which found out later that the entrance was where parking is. I believe you could get on the waitlist but it was still early during lunch time when we arrived that it wasn't necessary. The restaurant itself isn't that big. A good amount of Asian modern style seating. Menu is pretty limited but gets down to the punch. Ramen, a couple of rice dishes and starters. Basically it. They had some alcoholic drink options too. We started off with some beers, the crispy chicken which was really nice. Thick chunks of thighs lightly deep fried and served with a dipping sauce. Juicy and tender. Entrees, the tonkatsu which you could make into a combo that comes with a side salad, and with salmon poke bowl or spicy tuna bowl for an additional fee. The broth for the ramen was quite tasty and paired really well with everything that added to it. And very filling. Also had the pork rice bowl with pork chashu, green onions, poached egg, spinach on top of rice. That was quite tasty and filling as well. There's a small and large option. Lastly the vegan ramen with sesame miso broth, broccolini, corn, bean sprouts, soy meat, tofu, baby kale with chili oil. Food was quite tasty and very filling. Service was great with friendly staff. Didn't take long for the items to arrive. The place isn't that big so it does get busy.

Writing this review on the food we ordered - salmon poke and pork buns - because I know they are…read moreknown for their ramen. I was craving poke and my boyfriend came across this place. We ordered via third party app because the preparation of the poke sounded intriguing and different. The food came in cute packaging. When we opened the containers, in my opinion there was too much rice/quinoa to fish portion. I did enjoy the taste of the poke. It had bits of sour notes from the apple dressing, which is different from what you normally order with poke. The avocado balances out the sourness. And the poke surprisingly pairs well with quinoa. The pork buns were really delicious! It has that umami taste you look for when eating pork. The meat was very tender - easy to bite and chew. The bun was nice and soft - had good texture. And the onions that came on it was good. You don't get that oniony, bitter taste that lingers in your mouth. Overall, I enjoyed the food. Poke was good but idk if I'd order it again because the rice-fish portions are off. But I definitely need to try the ramen cos I know that's what they're known for.
