I've been wanting to try JJ Chinese Express since i get my car washed right across at Coastline! Walked in and it's definitely a place you go to order your food and eat it somewhere else. No frills no tables to dine in at but the food I got was great! Big portions too! I ordered the Szechuan beef with fried rice and a small order of roasted pork chow mein which fed me for 3 days! Order was freshly made as it was piping hot when I got it. For the price I'll definitely be back and try some other dishes.

Probably one of the best Chinese Fast Food joints in the LBC! I ordered this through door dash for my kids because they wanted Egg Fu Young. It's a small shop right behind El Pollo Loco on the East side. We pass by this spot and never had the opportunity to try it. Saw their reviews on their Egg Fu Young and we had to try it. It was so savory and absolutely delicious. I ordered the house special egg fu young and the house combination egg fu young. My son is pretty hard to impress when it comes to Chinese fast food- he is very picky. Well this is going to be our go to spot Chinese food spot!

All of my faves from here- Orange chicken, fried rice, combo low mein and chicken pot stickers. Yum!

Solid place for Chinese food takeout! We usually order the orange chicken dinner combination plate with fried rice and cheese wontons with the egg drop soup and they give huge portions-huge plus! I also love the chow mein although it's a tad greasy, but very very delicious! There is plenty of parking and it's easy to pull in and pick up your takeout. Great value for your money here as well. With all Chinese food I just recommend polishing it off while it's fresh because it doesn't re heat super great. But as far as Chinese takeout goes in Long Beach this is one of my fave spots so check them out!

Great selection, delicious hot food, and service. JJ is another LB Hitter. I appreciate how you can order half portions. This is such a great value!

Side Wonton Soup for lunch. A little bit if soy sauce and it's perfection.

Love this place! I used to order delivery from here when I stayed near downtown LB. You gotta get delivery for certain places when living close to downtown, am I right people? (IYKYK) And it has gotten better since the last time I had it. I was craving something from here but could not figure out what until I went through the lunch menu... it was the honey garlic chicken. Yums. I ordered the honey garlic chicken, beef and broccoli and green beans in brown sauce all from the lunch menu. $30 with tip. The lunch options come with an egg roll, choice of white or fried rice and the choice of soup or a soda. Nothing disappointed. Everything on point. They upgraded their fried rice, very nice. The only thing I wish was that they were closer to my current place.

A friend told me about JJ's Chinese Food, and I'm so glad they did. This is my third time visiting, and the food never disappoints. Whether ordering through DoorDash for pick-up or calling in, the process is always easy and convenient. The prices are unbeatable, and the customer service is consistently top-notch. I attached a photo below look at all this delicious food for just $30! While parking can be a bit tricky sometimes, everything else is a perfect 10 out of 10. Highly recommend JJ's Chinese Food for anyone looking for great Chinese food and exceptional service! I had their garlic fried chicken wings last time and Man oh man they were delicious. Packing flavor inside and out. This place is takeout only.

    35. Chicken Chow Mein

The cream cheese wontons are great. The sweet and sour chicken in the combo was edible. However, the chow mein I got was not good at all. The veggies were overcooked and bland, but the food was delivered piping hot. I'm realizing I'm not a fan of yellow fried rice.

Not a bad spot. Food was made to order, so I had to wait about 10 min, which I am totally cool with for fresh food. Mixed chow mein with shrimp, chicken and beef was just ok. Nothing I would drive out to order again, but got the job done. I saw a lot of people coming in and out for take out orders and Door Dash, so they are doing something right. I think I just prefer the steam tray Chinese fast food experience, so I will stick with my China Wok Express.

First time trying and made an order online for delivery. The DoorDash experience itself was a nightmare but had nothing to do with the restaurant I give them one star for portions and one star for service because the lady on the phone was helpful when I called to see why the driver canceled my order I ordered 5 dishes total and out of everything the only thing I would ever eat again from here would be the hot and sour soup. THAT was phenomenal First off EVERYTHING was bland. I appreciate that no salt was used for health reasons but there was absolutely no flavor on any of the food. I had to doctor everything up with my own soy and oyster sauce at home Beef and broccoli- watery and flavorless Shrimp lo shrimp and shrimp fried rice - soggy and flavorless. They do provide a decent amount of medium sized shrimp Lemon chicken - dry, flavorless. Sauce on the side was very thin, watery and had a bitter aftertaste Steamed pot stickers - rubbery, chicken did not taste good. $67 later and I ended up wasting so much food

Do they have catering trays or provide food for parties?

I'm not sure you should just give them a call. I'm sure they do. I've seen them packing for a party. It looks like.

I want to try. Is it clean?

It looks like it. It's just a pickup food place. Nowhere to sit. I went off the reviews and the reviews were good. The food is super good. Best I've found in LBC

Is the Kung Pao tofu vegan? Can it be made vegan if it's not vegan by default?

I get nervous with the phrase "Chinese fast food". Is this just fast Chinese? Or is this Panda Express quality?

    Is the chow menu vegan?

hello, all chow mein cook with brown sauce. Us brown sauce have some Oyster sauce.

Do the cream cheese wontons have any meat in them?

I ordered the cheese wonton and no it did not have any meat. They were fried to perfection

Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

KIN Thai Cuisine in Long Beach off Broadway is a really solid spot…read more Parking is available, but it is limited, so just keep that in mind depending on the time you go. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary
