Got the flying noodles and braised platter. Didn't expect the sauce on the noodles were so spicy but really flavorful. Noodles were chewy and yummy. Braised platter has assorted meat and tofu (duck, pork belly). The first time we did take out they had the order wrong. So second time around we made sure to check. Two co-workers and I found ourselves at Fun Station for lunch after striking out at several places. This was our initial visit and we each opted for the Beef Tendon with Wonton ... Two of us chose funn while I went with egg noodles. Our server upsold us on two dishes ... Spring Rolls and Crispy Pork. The broth of our soup was very subtle; perhaps too subtle for my palate. The tendon needed a bit more time to soften; the wonton were very good. I didn't get egg noodles ... It was more like angel hair pasta than the egg noodles I craved. The spring rolls were very good but the highlight for me was the crispy pork ... Wow, this was a dish that stood out from the rest. Extremely friendly servers. Extremely salty, MSG laden food. Extremely poor kitchen timing. First, free fried gyoza with yelp check-in. It is a good way to start. Well made, well seasoned and goes well with the sweet and sour chili sauce. The crispy spareribs, now available as an appetizer or entrée portion, are still well steamed, dusted in corn starch and fried up crisp but are over sauced. That sauce has an extreme amount of MSG in it. Moving on to the noodles. The house wonton in soup is unique. Ordered with egg noodles that were soft, overcooked and put in the bowl without draining them well resulted in a watered down broth that tasted like rotting chrysanthemum greens. Surprisingly, MSG is still over the top. Finally their mixed noodle. Looks great with a generous portion of heavily seasoned minced pork, beef brisket and tendon but the saucy pork is doused with MSG. The dish is so salty that neither the raw cucumber or pickled veg could cut through it. Kitchen timing is a problem with one bowl of noodles arriving 15 minutes after the first. This happened on EVERY table in the restaurant. I don't like to hate on a small business that is clearly trying, properly playing the social media game and trying to deliver outstanding front of house service but the flaws with the food overwhelm all their efforts. Great food specials for the past 2 weeks!! I was always curious about fun station and they had $10.99 specials everyday! I missed Saturday cause I thought I could go later but it ends this Friday. Anyway I tried their beef skank noodles which was delicious! The spring rolls were not good though, tasted frozen. Wednesday I tried their wonton soup and added noodles with their coconut shrimp. The shrimp was soo good and the wonton has shrimp in it!! Add chili oil for flavor to both beef bone broths! Over all, I really liked the two dishes I tried. Dined here at Fun Station recently and was super happy to be back, it has been awhile since we last dined here. One of my favorite local business. Staff is friendly as usual, we had a late lunch here, after 3pm which happens to be happy hour, perfect! You not only get 10% off but also a free drink! Thank You Fun Station! I ordered my favorite menu item, 5 spiced duck with look fun soup and during my first visit I wish the noodles were made fresh and YES!, this visit, my wish came true! Stopped by for lunch as I had been seeing all the fellow foodies on Instagram raving about their noodles. Was greeted and seated immediately as I had walked in soon after they had opened. We ate leftovers for dinner, more than enough for the two of us. Reheating did not diminish the taste at all. We read the menu and we need to return to try some of their interesting descriptions. Normally, I wouldn't choose to eat in a Chinese restaurant because of mediocre food and rude, distant attitudes by the staff. But this was so different. The waiters were very attentive and on point. I put two take away containers in the plastic bag with the opening sideways. He came over, repositioned the boxes and tied a nice knot for me to carry it. We ordered the spicy beef look fun soup, wonton & beef brisket look fun soup and a free gyoza (when you check in on yelp). Gyoza was fried, filling wasn't that flavorful but the sweet chili dipping sauce paired well with it. The spicy beef soup was flavorful. Doesn't have a lot of depth but more of a light broth. It is not very spicy, so add more chili oil if you like a bit of a kick! The wonton beef brisket had a similar broth, I think the only difference was the spicy beef soup had chili oil and pickled vegetables. Beef brisket pieces were mostly fatty but the ones that weren't were tender. I loved the egg and vegetables in the soup to balance out the meal. We decided to check out Fun Station with some YouTuber friends because of course, we had to go for the photo/film opportunities. Staff was friendly, but we were able to order "touchlessly" by scanning the QR code and putting in all orders plus payment up front. We had the beef brisket tendon noodle soup. It was delicious and the servers are very courteous and prompt in bringing the food to the table. Unlike some other restaurants in Market City mall, the food that is brought to yoir table looks exactly like the pic in the menu. Also, they don't bring the check with the pre-printed tip amount implying a minimum 18% tip. Here, the suggested tip starts at 15%, just as it is supposed to be. I was feeling sad for a particular reason, and needed some self-medication in the form of meat and grease. As I scrolled through the restaurant delivery options, I kept coming back to Fun Station: Chicken wings and ribs would sure do the trick. The name, "Fun Station," conjured up several ideas as to why it was named that way. One theory related to the noodles they offer, which sure look good, but sadly don't fit into my diet. I was fudging my diet already with the food I ordered: Fried gyoza, salt and pepper chicken wings, fried chicken wings, salt and pepper spareribs, and crispy spareribs. The first container I picked up was the fried gyoza. I meant to have only one but ended up eating all six. They were clearly fresh, and freshly fried. I went on to sample the remaining four items, and they all made me and my tummy happy. They were just what I needed. I am particularly fond of salt-and-pepper pork chops, and discovered I liked the salt-and-pepper chicken wings just as much, even more, I think, than the fried wings (although I had no problem eating those). The salt-and-pepper spareribs were tasty, but didn't quite have the regular salt-and-pepper flavor. The crispy spareribs had the taste of what I believe was Chinese 5-spice. The meat of the ribs was not spicy, which is the way I like them, but if you want heat, feel free to partake of the jalapeños and chile peppers that came with the salt-and-pepper preparations.
