    Cheesy gyoza

The food is good here! You have about 2-4 servers waiting on you. Free drink refills are a plus. The place is rather small so there's outside seating. It's fine but I'd rather sit inside. All in all I still very much like the place.

Haven't been to Juupuu in a while, and my partner had never been before, so it felt like the perfect spot to bring him since he's a total noodle head. Also just found out they have parking in the back!!! Every other time I've come here I've been street parking, so that was a nice surprise. We ordered a few of my favorites: the spicy cheese gyoza and the tomato ramen with the special (egg and extra chashu). My other half went with the spicy tonkotsu with the special as well and added extra noodles. Everything came out hot and flavorful, and it definitely hit the spot. The spicy cheese gyoza is always a must for me...crispy, savory, with just the right kick. The tomato ramen is rich and comforting, and the extra chashu makes it even better. My partner really enjoyed the spicy tonkotsu too; the broth had a nice depth and the noodles were perfect. Service was great and the ambience is super chill. It's very low-key and simple, which is something I really appreciate, especially after a long day when you just want good food in a relaxed spot.

Miso Ramen - Very unique and complex and hit the spot.

Excellent ramen! On an island full of ramen restaurants, Junpuu delivers. Their broths are all unique and delicious. The original chicken is a chicken soup like you've never dreamed of - not a paitan, but not a bland clear broth either. I honestly don't know how they married light and rich but I want more of it. The garlic tonkotsu is a great version of self. But then the miso ramen is so different - so much richer and chock full of umami. I also love that their noodles are the squiggly yellow ones and not the white thin ones (personal preference), and they have great chew. If that not enough, their gyoza are fresh, also unique, and delicious. We ordered the level 1 hot sauce on the side for an extra $1. Total was $75 after tip for three soups and gyozas and we had soup to take home. Service can be a bit slow, as they are busy, but very courteous and friendly, and food is worth the wait.

Junpuu offers a variety of delicious ramen options. From the rich tonkotsu ramen to the lighter vegan tantanmen options. The potato chips are crispy and freshly made. We get the potato chips with no salt which is great. I would recommend Junpuu for some yummy ramen

Hard to find based off the address, stay on the street and it is in the corner on the main road. The directions on here take you to a paid parking lot. The restaurant is small, but plenty of additional training outside. The menu is simple and the are quick to serve you. I took my food to go, not sure what the presentation would have been eating inside. Once back, the chicken was still crunchy and soup hot. The Karaage Chicken was a 5, it came with a small side of salt which it did not need. The Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen was a 4, very favorable but noodles could have been cooked longer and toppings were minimal. I will be going back and highly recommend stopping by and trying them out.

Haven't had a chance to try this place til now because we found out there's parking in the back. Always thought I had to find street parking so didn't bother to try it. The food is on par with legit ramen places and the highlight of the night was their gyoza. The food was really good overall. Service was excellent, would say tho is the only restaurant that offered us additional napkins, in which convinced me to get them the full 5 stars. The restaurant is fairly big because they utilized the lanai as dining as well. Would recommend sitting outside like we did, it's cool and feels pretty private with the dark lighting.

Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen and Garlic Gyoza. How's that garlic???? I dump the extra into my ramen.

I think I've already left a 5 star for this place but I just had to add this photo. Service is always great and the food comes out fast. Probably my favorite Ramen place.

We've only ordered take out from here. The restaurant is very small. The garlic gyoza was weird to us we didn't think it would be a bunch of garlic pieces on top of it so we got the regular gyoza the 2nd time we went. I think I liked the takoyaki I can't remember but it was 5 pcs. The tonkotsu broth is really rich. Loved it both times.

Ramen views... Came here in then past with a friend who is vegan and she knew they had quite a few vegan choices and just needed a revisit since it's been awhile and what a difference this location has come to. Junpuu is located in the Medical Art Building a place of my childhood doctor that I came here on the regular which now is long gone along with many other places is now home to Junpuu. What's nice is that they have do have parking in the back access on Young Street and a direct access as well to the restaurant from the parking lot is nice. You need to check in with a staff and this tiny spot is very small in face all indoor seating was filled so I gladly took a table outside on the terrace which I do prefer as it's less cramp and gave more personal space and each table is a high to so your'e string on a stool but each table has a shelf for your personal items is very nice and convenient so that you're able to enjoy your meal with ease. The staff was nice as I chose a table she followed with water and menu and returned for my order which was "Yuzu Chicken Ramen" which was a nice and light soup though as a yuzu lover it was just the right refreshing flavor with noodles cooked just right. I also had to give their gyoza a try, an order of regular comes with 5 pieces and was one of the best cooked gyoza with the crispy pan-seared bottom it almost had the crispy crunch though I think they were quite cheap with the sauce as they had no condiments on the table it felt as if you're to enjoy it as is which I did and did enjoy the price as well. Thank you!

08/05/25 One sign says "Closed" the other is Open?! I asked the employee if Junpuu was Open? It appeared that the employee may not speak or understand English. I pointed to Closed sign on one entrance and then the Open sign on the back door entrance. He needed to go back into the kitchen to ask someone. The hours posted on the door states that Junpuu is open 11 am to 9 pm, on Tuesday. At first, I was hesitant to order with the conflicting signage. Long story short, they were open. I placed an order of gyoza to take out. I considered the takoyaki, however, I was informed that it's made somewhere else. There was a family having ramen. One child and one infant and parents and perhaps grandma. When the very hot and steaming ramen came out of the kitchen, the employee was carrying two bowls of the steaming hot ramen! One bowl in each hand. I prayed she was not going near the children. But she did! I was very concerned for the infant. Any sudden movement by the infant or grandma, could end in a serious burn event. The employee placed the ramen bowl to the right of grandma and to the immediate left of the infant! I wanted to say something, but I kept quiet as I did not want to startle the employee. Grateful that the little one did not reach out for the steaming hot bowl of ramen. Grateful that the grandma did not reach out her arm for the infant. While waiting for my take out order, another employee named Emi gave me my order. I then asked Emi, who spoke English well, why the conflicting signs on the doors. She informed me that they were considering closing the restaurant for cleaning. However, a family came inside the restaurant and placed an order, so Junpuu remained open. This is the family I observed with the infant and young child. Emi is a long time employee at Junpuu. She said she was not a manager. I spoke with Emi about what I had observed earlier. As a former server at a restaurant, I believed it was important to relay to management for training purposes. Emi was 100% understanding and she was concerned about the situation. Emi informed me that the server is very new and young. Emi will train the young employee about serving tables with young children. I was glad to hear that from Emi. General Service here 2/5 stars Emi's service: 5/5 stars Ambiance: small Ramen shop. Relaxed vibe. Clean tables. Colorful homemade wall signage. Menu is straightforward. See photos. Good air conditioning in the summer heat. Outdoor tables and seating are available here. One bathroom is available indoors. The 5 piece Gyoza was hot and fresh. Slight crisp to the outer edges and the sides of the wrapping. Filling was not oily and filled well. I was happy that it was not salty. The wrapper had a nice chew to it. Overall, 3.5/5 stars. Price: $6.95 Side note: The gyoza comes with a dipping sauce. I did not use the sauce. Validated parking is available in the Medical Arts Building, which is located at 1010 S. King St. Up to one hour validation at Junpuu.

Visit: Many Date: 9/14/25 Time: 2:00pm What they got right: Friendly service, quality food and BYOB. Also validated parking lot. I always enjoy the overhead music played. Areas for improvement: none at the moment Recommend? Yes! This place always delivers consistent, quality food. We enjoy their garlic gyoza as an appetizer. My favorite is the tantan men and the different spice levels you can try. My highest was 10 and I think that is also my limit. When I order it, I usually get it between a 6-8 spice level. Hubby likes to try different types. He enjoy tonkotsu.

What's Good On the Menu: The ramen lineup is strong: classics like Shoyu Ramen, Tonkotsu, and Miso are all there, done well, with options if you want garlic, spice, or extra char-siu. But what makes Junpuu stand out are the more adventurous bowls -- things like Tomato Ramen, Cold Tantan Men, and a full vegan / vegetarian selection. The broths are flavorful and rich but not overbearing, the noodles have just enough chew, and the toppings (bamboo shoots, seasonal greens, marinated egg, etc.) add good texture. Besides ramen, you've got solid sides: gyoza (including spicy and garlic versions), chicken or vegan "karaage", homemade potato chips, and a few refreshing salads. Portions are generous without feeling wasteful, and if you want more, there are large sizes or extra toppings. Parking & Access Parking here is... "okay, but plan ahead." You've got options: * There is street parking in front of Junpuu. Free after 6pm on weekdays (Monday-Saturday) and free all day on Sundays and holidays. * There's also a parking lot behind the building, which helps especially during busy hours. The lot is validated in some periods or made more accessible via Junpuu. * During peak lunch or dinner hours, though, street parking can be scarce. In those moments the back lot is a relief, but you might need to walk a little. Overall If you love ramen, this is a place worth carving out some time for. The food is flavorful, the menu has variety, including for those who prefer lighter or plant-based fare, and the vibe is casual and friendly. The parking is decent, not perfect, but manageable especially if you go a little before peak times or are okay walking a bit. Would recommend -- especially the Garlic Tonkotsu or the Tomato Ramen if you want something different.

My family and I have been here a few times before, but this is the first time I'm making a review. The staff here are so friendly and attentive. Not a lot of people will come around to give you extra napkins while you're eating, without you even asking, so I thought that was a nice gesture. Another awesome thing was they brought out a bowl for my toddler, with utensils. We were seated at the high tables and we couldn't believe it, they have a really tall high chair for the kids. So cool! Their ramen is really good and we love the portions! Today my Husband and I ordered the same thing, Garlic Tonkatsu Ramen and a side of gyoza. We loved it, my daughter enjoyed it. I was also surprised to see their soup stayed steaming warm until I finished it. I kept telling Hubby, look at the noodles, they're still hot. It was so yummy! They have seating available inside and outside of the restaurant. We'll be back when we're craving for ramen. We highly recommend this place.
