Have heard good things and have been wanting to try Fleeting for a while. We ordered the beef tartare, oysters, duck, and a steak. The duck was amazing. Everything else was really good. The beef tartare was served on top of radicchio and beets. It was an interesting combo that in my opinion didn't work the best. The steak was okay, tasted like skirt steak to me which isn't my favorite. Mashed potatoes were AMAZING though. Great drinks and service too.

Very solid hotel restaurant, with great food and ambiance, but the accompanying prices/serving sizes to match. Our service was great; Jordyn (our waitress) was sweet, accommodating with substitutions and speedy to bring the food out! The food itself was pretty good -- I Frankenstein-Ed a meal out of side dishes (egg whites, fruit, chicken sausage & sourdough) and it was about $40 with tip. My friends got the potato hash which they said was good but they wished the serving size had been double for $38. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but don't regret the stop! The jazz brunch was also kind of interesting since we only got maybe 15 minutes of jazz, but the performer was very talented!

Excellent! So good, I went back two nights in a row. The first night I had homemade sourdough with butter to start, steak tartar, watermelon salad, ribeye, Brussel sprouts, and the banana dessert. EVERYTHING was delicious. The second night I repeated the Brussels and ribeye, and again started with the tartar. (One of the best tartars I've ever had) I was served both nights by Maria. She was well versed on the menu, friendly, and attentive. I definitely would recommend trying Fleeting out, even if you're not staying at the hotel. Both nights I went, it was 8:30 so the restaurant wasn't full, just about half full. The lighting and music are just high enough to be able to relax and enjoy conversation with you and your guests.

Breakfast review. We were seated quickly for bunch on New Year's Day. I ordered the vanilla cinnamon latte and it was so delicious. We ordered the shrimp and grits as well as the croissant breakfast sandwich. Shrimp and grits was some of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had . I have no idea how they got the grits to be that creamy! Do not miss this dish! My husband ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich with whipped feta and eggs ! This was so good. The croissant was from the bakery next-door and was so fresh and delicious. The whipped feta was absolutely delicious on it. Our only critique was that our server did not ask my husband if he wanted to add bacon or sausage to his croissant. Overall, the service was just a little bit slow, but the food was amazing .

Stayed at the Thompson for a few nights and decided to grab dinner at the hotel. Food was excellent and the service top notch. The Brunswick Shrimp Dip was arguably one of the best dips I've ever tasted. Fire grilled whole Snapper was fantastic. And the watermelon salad - perfect for a hot summer evening. Thanks for a memorable meal. Cheers!

We had such a wonderful experience at Fleeting for our anniversary this past weekend--everything from the food to the service to the dining room was spot-on. We started with the oysters and the sourdough, and wow... what a way to kick things off. The oysters were super fresh, and the sourdough had the perfect crusty outside with this soft, flavorful inside. It came with fresh salted butter that was so good we were basically scraping the plate! For mains, we shared the rib-eye and lamb chops--both were cooked to perfection. The rib-eye had this amazing sear and depth of flavor, and the lamb chops were super tender and juicy. We also added the sweet potato side, which was unexpectedly one of our favorite parts of the meal--just the right mix of savory and sweet, soft with a crunch. And then, to top it all off, the staff surprised us with a dark chocolate hazelnut torte for our anniversary dessert. It was rich, decadent, and absolutely delicious. Such a thoughtful touch and a perfect ending to an already amazing meal. The vibe at Fleeting is also worth mentioning--stylish, modern, and cool without feeling pretentious. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind the whole night. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend for a special occasion--or honestly, any time you want a memorable meal in Savannah!

Incredible food and service! Went here while visiting for a birthday dinner and had the best Tybee Island oysters. The bread and butter were even incredible. One of the best duck dishes that I've had. Our server went out of their way to make sure we had a memorable celebration.

4-6pm fleeting hour is top tier, espresso martinis for $5 and dirty martinis for $10, $1.5 oysters, $8 caviar bumps, go early to sign up for free palm readying or tarot cards. Bartenders are great, very efficient and attentive. And the view of the river is fantastic especially if you can catch a container ship going by. After you can take a walk on the river and enjoy the sunset. This place fucks and I will be back to try and get a seat at the chefs table for dinner.

We had an amazing meal at Fleeting. Lovely decor and atmosphere. Reservations are needed. There is a large bar area for drinks and seating. I had the black grouper special and hubby enjoyed the mushroom pasta. The old fashion was fab and enjoyed a glass of Pinot Noir with dinner. Delish dessert. Great for special occasions and date night. Enjoy!

Have never stayed at a Thompson that did not have a great restaurant, and Fleeting was no exception to that trend. Dined there throughout our stay in Savannah, from breakfast to dinner. Favorite dish was this beautifully prepared Grilled Local Catch Fish.

We had a party six so everyone tried different meals. The two men had the steak which was served on top of mashed potatoes, although not very many mashed potatoes for a $40 + it was a tasty steak The women all choose less expensive meals and all seem to enjoy their meals. The service was good no complaints and our weight staff was very friendly being in a new restaurant. It had a nice ambience for people who enjoy sitting at the table and being able to watch what's going on in the kitchen that seems to be the big thing nowadays to me. It doesn't matter as long as the food is good hotel was nice which the restaurant is in and it's kind of a smaller cozy set up. two of us had dessert but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was, but I do remember thinking I should've ordered what the other person did. As for the main question would I eat here again? The answer is yes I will admit we stayed at the Hyatt and this restaurant is much better than the so-called restaurant in the Hyatt. Sorry didn't take any pictures.

After a long travel day and there being so much snow on the ground, we decided to just stay in and have dinner at our hotel. I wasn't really sure what to expect. When I tell you this place was AMAZING - I mean it! Folks, do not sleep on this restaurant! Everything we had was beyond delicious. I had the appetizer sampler that was suggested by our waitress. Every single bite exploded the perfect blend of flavors! My husband's steak was cooked to perfection! He could nearly cut it with his fork! He's certainly not a foodie and is very picky about his steaks but he's insisting we visit here again before we leave. I certainly hope we have time to! Oh, and the espresso martini? I've never had a more perfect one. Bravo, Fleeting! Bravo!

An Absolute Must-Visit in Savannah!…read more Our group of food-loving travelers had one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time at Common Thread. From the moment we sat down until the last bite, every course exceeded our expectations. We started with the oysters, which were incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared. The shaved beef was an absolute standout--one of those dishes you can't stop talking about long after the meal. The yellowfin tuna was pristine, buttery, and beautifully balanced. The salads were anything but ordinary. Both the watermelon salad and the tomato salad were bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors that showcased just how incredible simple ingredients can be when they're done right. For the entrées, the gnocchi was delicious, but the real stars were the New York strip and the roasted potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly, and those potatoes may have been the best we've ever had. The red snapper was light, flaky, and had just the right amount of spice to elevate every bite. Richard's Chicken was unbelievably tender, juicy, and literally melted in your mouth. What truly elevated the evening was our server, Lindsey. She was warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like welcomed guests. She even took the time to recommend local attractions and things to do around Savannah, making our entire trip better. If Yelp allowed it, she'd get 10 out of 5 stars. Exceptional food, outstanding service, and an unforgettable experience. Common Thread has earned a place among the very best restaurants we've ever visited. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in Savannah.

So, that felt terrific, given their attention to making the space handicap accessible. I would only return for that specific reason - not for the food. We were there for a birthday, so we got the tasting menu and was told that it was served family style. We were 3 people, but for each course they brought out 2 plates of food (except for a single plate for the salad course). So, it felt weird sharing the dishes, like you didn't just get half and then to take 1/3 of 2 plates is also peculiar. Why not serve each course genuinely family style on a larger dish? For example, I usually tried 1/2 of each plate, but then there were some leftovers. And, one of the courses (the salad) came only on one tiny plate, and there was only one piece of the peach. So, there was no way to split that at all. They also brought us all new empty dishes and silverware after every course. It would have been easier to just give us each our own portion on our own plates. I kept thinking about all the dishes that they would need to wash, and it felt so wasteful. In fact, we had to ask for serving spoons, as they didn't offer that with the family style either. And honestly, the best course was the fried potatoes. They also brought us each one tiny tator tot with fancy sauce which was good. But, so tiny that it wasn't enough. The worst course was the tri tip meat. It had been cooked very rare which I like. But, it was so chewy that I found myself having to chew and chew and ... well, I couldn't eat. None of us liked that course, and it felt like a shame to leave it behind. I researched tri tip, and it seems that it needs to be cut in a certain way. The dessert was also really good. But overall, I was disappointed. Some places feel too fancy, and they forget that people are there to actually eat something rather than be confused by trying to guess what they are eating. For example, the delicious tator tot had a smoked oyster mayo sauce. But, the quantity of the sauce was so sparse, I didn't notice the oyster flavor at all. I suppose that my review may be heavy handed. I do appreciate that they provide farm to table, but they didn't take the time to profile that either.

The greeting from our arrival to seating was prompt and very courteous. We got suggestions from the wait staff and started our experience. They have an extensive cocktail and wine list. Very hard not to make it chewy. Great char and sauce that accompanied it. For entrees, we did the Perloo, an amazing interpretation, and a swordfish. Both dishes were immaculately prepared and perfectly sized. We chose a bottle of Loss and Lehn, something we had never tried before but recommended based on what we had ordered. It matched perfectly with both dishes. We also choose items from the pick 3 menu to accompany our entrees. We finished with the best bread Pudding we have ever had nd french press coffee. We were sat in what I believe used to be a front parlour, by a window over looking the street. We had a dual service with one person being the "main" server, his name was Michael. He was in charge of giving us the spiel and answering our questions. A woman (I forget her name, sorry! But she was lovely) was in charge of running the food and clearing the plates. It was a very well run machine. The menu is pre set, but there were choices on some of the courses, like course where an option was a soft shelled crab - I definitely wanted to take advantage of that! We started off with Biscuits with butter and homemade orange marmalade, these were delightful, so fluffy and soft, and the marmalade was sweet, not bitter like it sometimes can be. The Amuse bouche was a trio of tiny items: a pimento cheese tart, a mussel with chipotle sauce and panko, and a square of salmon with mild wasabi and ginger. The salmon was definitely my favorite. The fifth course had a special as I noted before, so I opted to go for that, it was a soft shell crab with garlic, herbs and a vidalia onion slaw. Topped with peanuts and a white wine sauce. I think my favorite course of them all was the scallops with the carrots and the whipped ricotta - so simple but so delicious! Phenomenal special occasion place or just to cross off your bucket list.
