went for breakfast and overall had a very ok experience. it wasn't super busy but for some reason it took a really long time for our order to be taken. normally, i wouldn't care, except that there were about 5 servers loitering in front of our seats, so it felt a bit egregious. once we put in our order it came out quite fast. our server was very gracious and helpful, but it did appear that he and one other server were doing the bulk of serving, likely causing the delay. while some of the servers i saw might not have been working, it definitely was not a good look to have them be so visible , especially with how loud they were. the coffee was bad unfortunately, i got a very weak flat white while my partner had a "vietnamese coffee" that just tasted like a slightly sweetened iced latte. the food was just okay, it wasnt particularly memorable. i've heard good things, but maybe their dinner service is stronger. read more

I was in Savannah for the weekend and went to Collins Quarter for a Sunday breakfast based upon its Yelp rating. I ordered a Swine Time Beni based upon the recommendation of the waiter. It was excellent!! Why only a 3 Star rating then? I sat at the bar (was the only one at the bar) and I started timing how long it would take for someone to acknowledge me after about waiting 2-3 minutes. After the official timer hit 5 minutes (which means 7-8 minutes sitting there) with no one asking me for my drink order or giving me a menu, I finally said to the woman behind the bar, who was 2 feet from me, "Can I get a menu?" The menu I was given had all sorts of sticky stuff on it. There were all types of wait staff around me (counted 7 within 3-4 feet of me--the place is small) so it's not like they were understaffed--they have 3 people behind the bar strictly making coffee drinks. They seemed busy. My entire time, I saw staff standing around talking or checking their phones. You can't fault them though as a woman (reddish hair) who appeared to be the manager was doing the exact same thing--constantly on her phone! This place would easily 4-5-star based on food, however staff training is in order! Oh, drank all my water and coffee and had to request refills. I've been thinking about getting it again ever since I left. This was hands down the best brunch I have had this year. First, hats off to whoever invented the spiced lavender mocha - you deserve an award. That drink is a masterpiece and lives rent free in my head. I still regret not going back for another one while in Savannah. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the french toast, it was the perfect portion to split between two people without being overwhelmingly sweet. They have great Yelp reviews so I was expecting it to be super busy but I arrived on a weekday at about 9:00 AM and there was no problem getting a seat (there were lots of patrons there so it must have been good timing). The maitre'd was cheery as was our server. I ordered the eggs Benedict with ham and it was great! I appreciated the small portion of potatoes on the side as well as the small salad. Phenomenal experience all around. From the moment we walked through the door the server created us with a energetic warm energy that felt really genuin and had a great rapor with us. We started with some coffee to get us going. A lavender spiced mocha for me and a cold brew for my wife. Both were great. The lavender and spice werent too strong or sweat but added a nice touch. The cold brew was strong with a hint of chocolate. My dad tried to order the coffee tonic and our server actually didnt recomend it which I respect a lot and made me like the place more. Its very easy to say everything is good but to not recomend one thing gives more weight to the stuff you do recomend. The food was just as good. I got the veggie patty with tomato jam and poached egg and it came together really well. The poached egg was jammy and the saveriness paired well with the patty and sweetness of the jam. Everyone else liked theirs a lot too and from the looks of them, they were just as good. The atmosphere is actually what drew us to this place in the first place. The stone and brick walls added a classy timeless look. Sometimes the logo is very distracting in the glass but theirs was sleek and added to the ombiounce. We tried to go during dinner and reservations were full for the day at 6 until close so we actually went for brunch the next day which is first come first serve. This worked pretty well and didnt seem to fill up until a few hours after open so I recomend either reserving in advance or going for brunch.
