Out uneaten non-cheesy eggs and super tough sausage.

We went as a group of 5. My daughter, husband, and I ordered the "Wake Up Breakfast". My daughter and I ordered our eggs scrambled with cheese. When ours came we tried the eggs and noticed there was no cheese. When the "server" finally checked on us I informed her there was no cheese in our eggs. She replied she could check with the cook. She came back and told us he said he put cheese. Then said "he makes these all the time so there is no way he forgot". The sausage was tough, none of us ate it or the eggs. Drink options are limited so we got water. We had small plastic cups to fill out of a drink dispenser. I will not go back. Overpriced and overrated.

We popped in for breakfast one morning while on a weekend getaway and we had an excellent breakfast! We shared the egg sandwich and it was loaded with huge mushrooms, sausage, bacon, and two eggs! The eggs were cooked perfect and the mushrooms were amazing on the sandwich. The baguette was super soft and tasted so fresh! I enjoyed a Prosecco along side my latte! They have a few tables inside and outside, after ordering you choose your own seat. Highly recommend!

After the farmers market, we went to Alexander's for a quick bite to eat. It was delicious. The staff was helpful and the prices were reasonable.

Don't have an order window for customers with dogs if you're going to ignore them. See my prior review as the manager or owner touted this perk on a prior visit. I waited for 11 minutes, and watched through the window, customer inside being waited on after I arrived. Finally, I spoke to a male waiter that was delivering food to an outside table, and he took my order. Eliminate this service window if you're not going to wait on a dog lover.

We are visiting from out of town and wanted to try this place. The service was good. They were accommodating on changes to the Grit bowl (removing the bacon). The open ceiling concept and faux-wood tile floors make for a very loud environment. The service was fast and everyone was friendly. I had the Slow Start breakfast. It was great. The scallions and shallots really added a different dimension to the dish. I'd give it 5/5 My wife had the Grits bowl. She said it was bland lacking seasoning. The diced tomatoes on top were oily and bitter and that detracted from the taste. She gave it a 3/5 The specials board has a lot of interesting offerings, so we will be back.

My friend's and I are on an "Alphabet Adventure" of Savannah's food scene. So, we started here on Sunday morning to check off the letter "A". We were super excited about this place after reading the reviews, but felt our experience was pretty average. Drinks: For obvious reasons, we first ordered the coffee sampler flight. However, we were informed they no longer offer this super cool option (it's still on the menu so, FYI!). So, my two gals friends settled for a lemon meringue latte & white chocolate mocha - the former is a MUST, so good. Food: I had the Full Breakfast - very basic IMO, so wish I would have branched out. One friend ordered Shrimp & Grits and it didn't settle great for her. The other ordered the Slow Start Scramble and she seemed pleased. We all shared the Baloo Berry Muffin, which was very sharable & tasty, but thought it could use some cinnamon crumbles on top. I would def be interested in coming back to try lunch or a coffee myself, as other menu items look good. Not sure I'd go out of my way to try again, but it's in a good location near Forsyth, so could find me here giving another try on my next visit to the Park.

A cute little corner bistro, good variety of brunch options. Friendly staff. Food was decent for the price. Coffee was flavorful. Not an over expensive spot. ^However I'm rating this as average 3/5 for the worker that decided to touch my newborn without asking. Made me feel some type of way.

The service was amazing, the cook greeted us as we entered, and the food came out quick and HOT. The vibes were great, and the space was clean! I hope it was just a slow morning for them, but there weren't many customers, despite the GREAT food.

Alexander's is a bistro that you should visit. I'm glad that I did! Between the great food, service, and location I only have love for this new cafe and restaurant. It is conveniently located one block away from Forsyth Park. So it is a quick stroll if you are in the area. It is right at the corner of Bull Street and Duffy Street. You can park on the surrounding streets for free. Local 11 Ten is across the street if you need a building to look for. They offer seating indoors and outdoors. From the outside the bistro looks small. But once you step inside, wow so much space! There are multiple tables, banquets, and a small bar dining area too. I love the large windows and art on the walls. The counter where you order is to your right when you walk in. There is a digital menu up on wall. But they also have paper menus as well. And large menus directly printed on the wall in front of the registers. They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, and small bites to eat. For drink options there are coffees, teas, beers, and wines. We enjoyed breakfast on Saturday morning with the following: slow start scramble for each of us, a side of fresh fruit, dirty chai latte, & the Elizabeth latte. The slow start scramble was delicious! And beautiful to look at too. It is scrambled eggs, white cheddar, shallots, bacon, and scallions, on a brioche bun. I got mine without cheese. It is a lot of food. I was only able to eat one half of my bun. The one item I would not suggest is the fresh fruit. It was certainly not all fresh. We each enjoyed our coffee beverages. They came in clear mugs. These are my favorite! And gorgeous with an edible flower too! The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly. We had questions since it was our first time in the bistro. Our questions were answered promptly and politely. All of our food and beverages were brought to us in a timely manner with a smile. We were thanked at the register for coming in. And when we were leaving we were thanked as well. This new bistro should be added to your must visit list!

TERRIBLE! Just kidding...and now that will be the first word that all eyes go to.... Joking aside.. All the reviews were spot on accurate. The "Baloo berry" muffin had the decadent crispy top, the inside was so (yes here i go) moist. No butter needed. The spicy turkey w bacon sub was made fresh to order. Even the in house bread tasted fresh. And the latte...uh may I R.I.P.. This place is small yet cute. Like a little French bistro...w/o the French. Im glad I went 19min out of my way of heading back to myrtle Beach..to stop for brunch. Pro tip.. Breakfast goes from 8am-11am. But pastries are served all day.

The brunch menu is fairly…read moreextensive, so we had some difficulty choosing what to order....but definitely come hungry because the portions are large and the food is pretty rich. To share amongst the table, we ordered the cinnamon toast banane and crispy gouda grit croquettes. Thumbs up on both, particularly the croquettes which were the right balance of gooey and structured enough to eat with the delicious sauce on the side. The cinnamon toast banane was not so much toast as cinnamon rolls with bananas foster; the cinnamon rolls were really tasty and the bananas foster was good, though the bourbon flavor was strong. For my entree, I ordered one of the lighter vegetarian dishes - the mushroom tartine with tomato soup. I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup. The mushroom tartine/sandwich was really flavorful with the pesto, cheese and tons of mushrooms. The restaurant is quite large with an upstairs seating area.

I got their chicken sandwich, while the rest of my family got the Dubai chocolate French toast, Bubble and squeak. My grilled chicken sandwich had a vast majority of flavors varying in the sandwich. The chicken was my only set back, it came off as under seasoned and bland, while the white bread and cheese melted together with the fresh lettuce. I also got their iced matcha latte with lavender syrup, which I was heavily surprised from how flavorful and sugary it was, I highly recommend this drink to any matcha lovers out there. The Dubai chocolate French toast was beautifully put together and delicious, shared across my family. From what I heard the bubble and squeak was amazing and was not too heavy or dull in flavor and is a great vegetarian option. Overall, the atmosphere inside was very light and put together, the creme walls contrasted perfectly with the historic stone walls. That drink is a masterpiece and lives rent free in my head. I still regret not going back for another one while in Savannah. As a french toast lover who also happens to love pistachios and chocolate, I obviously got the Dubai Chocolate French Toast. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the french toast, it was the perfect portion to split between two people without being overwhelmingly sweet. I hate when these things are humongous in size and then you can't finish it and end up wasting most of it away. The best part was Doki Doki' Pistachio-Crusted Pistachio Gelato on top - phenomenal! We also got the Moroccan Scramble as the savory counterpart to the french toast. The moroccan-spiced minced-lamb combined with scrambled eggs and toasted chickpea was so flavorful and satisfying. After this meal, I don't believe I could ever pass through Savannah without making a trip to the Collins Q! P.S.: Please come to Philly!

I'm absolutely glad I picked it. Walking in, we were greeted with smiles. The house/restaurant was stunning. It was quirky but still had its charm. We were escorted to our table, which was an odd little table halfway up the stairs, away from everyone. We were told that table was meant of anniversaries/intimate events. It felt awkward at first but it ended up being fun people watching and listening in to conversations as people walked by. Colton was our server. He was great. Extremely knowledgeable. He walked us through the menu, offered great suggestions on food and wine, did a proper wine service, and even properly pronounced the region in which the wine was from. Colton definitely made us feel special and gave us an incredible experience. I'll definitely give it to Common Thread. The knowledge in which every staff member presented was incredible. As every person dropped off an item at the table, they accurately described the dish in detail before they walked away. I've been in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years; serving, bartending, and managing numerous different types of restaurants, from casual to fine dining. I've opened up a few restaurants and have been a trainer as well. Common Thread is operating at a high level in terms of the staff's ability. The food: incredible. We started with one of each oyster, and it was insane how much flavor was packed in them. Our first course was also accompanied with the hand roll and the apple beet salad. The hand roll was fantastic. The beet salad felt like it needed some sort of acid/citrus with it, but still had great flavor. Course two was the mushroom cannelloni and the orecchiette. Both were phenomenal. My wife was obsessed with the cannelloni, the butternut squash puree was a perfect accompaniment. The pesto/parmesan foam on the orecchiette was an excellent touch. Course three we went against Colton's suggestion for the pork chop (almost got both, we were stuffed), and got the Ribeye. Great char, cooked perfectly. The peppercorn jus was an excellent topper for it. For dessert, we opted for the sticky toffee pudding. Although it wasn't sticky, the ginger pairing with it was an excellent touch. This is one of the best experiences we've ever had at a restaurant. This will be a staple for us whenever we're back in Savannah and will definitely be asking for Colton again. He is the kind of server I'd like to have at my restaurant. Props to Common Thread, props to Colton.

There was a couple next to us who was having the same dilemma after over hearing their conversation. The menu is pre set, but there were choices on some of the courses, like course where an option was a soft shelled crab - I definitely wanted to take advantage of that! We started off with Biscuits with butter and homemade orange marmalade, these were delightful, so fluffy and soft, and the marmalade was sweet, not bitter like it sometimes can be. The Amuse bouche was a trio of tiny items: a pimento cheese tart, a mussel with chipotle sauce and panko, and a square of salmon with mild wasabi and ginger. The salmon was definitely my favorite. The fifth course had a special as I noted before, so I opted to go for that, it was a soft shell crab with garlic, herbs and a vidalia onion slaw. Topped with peanuts and a white wine sauce. I think my favorite course of them all was the scallops with the carrots and the whipped ricotta - so simple but so delicious! Phenomenal special occasion place or just to cross off your bucket list. If I am in Savannah again (and the likelihood is high, its such an amazing city), I will be back.
