When I asked for another plate to separate them, there seemed to be some confusion and I was simply given an extra small plate instead. Everything was just "okay". Unfortunately, the low point was a friend ordered a half dozen raw oysters, but they didn't arrive until the rest of us had completely finished our meals and were asking for the check. Thankfully he had also ordered a po' boy sandwich, because otherwise he would have been sitting there hungry. To make matters worse, the oysters that finally arrived didn't taste especially fresh, and at $22 for a half dozen, they were hard to justify. Our server was friendly, but throughout the meal she had to be reminded of several items we'd ordered, almost as if we were placing the order a second time. On a positive note, the rooftop bar upstairs was a nice surprise and probably ended up being my favorite part of the visit. I found this frustrating. On one occasion I've also seen management talk down to staff here, which is a big no no for me. All people (especially staff) are due respect and this rubbed me the wrong way. This was an isolated incident but it definitely made my dining experience uncomfortable. Especially because I was getting excellent service from the server!!! I've always had quality service from servers here. In the future, I would come to Rhett for convenience as a hotel guest (the hotel is lovely), but would likely not spend my money if I wasn't staying at the hotel. Overall- it's good food, decent ambiance... but there are soooo many good options in Savannah. You have to be exceptional to stand out in that city.

I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup.
