Best avacado toast I've ever had!! Will be visiting again on our vacation to Savannah.

I have drove past this place tons of times and finally stopped in for breakfast with a friend. Firstly, I had no idea it was so big inside. There's tons of seating from out front, downstairs and an upstairs. The line was literally out the door so that instantly told me this was going to be good. The wait went by pretty fast. I had a breakfast sandwich, a latte and a praline cheesecake. The sandwich was really good, the latte was just muh and kinda lacked flavor for me and the cheesecake was so-so. They do have tons of options, so I would definitely return to try other things. The employees were very friendly and pretty fast. There's street parking and a lot close by. read more

I didn't know that there was a coffee co that's over 100 years old in the US! The coffee was great, the pastries and breakfast sandwiches were top notch. I even got a lb of coffee beans to take home. The service was nice, not warm but not cold either. I'd come back again! read more

First Impression: I'm Sold! After years of being a Starbucks girl, I finally had to admit it... the flavor is gone, but the prices stayed. I was craving something new and soulful, and that led me to Savannah Coffee Roasters--and wow, what a breath of fresh air! I parked out front (heads up, it's paid parking there, but I found out there's free parking around the building too) and walked into a space that gave me serious cozy Barnes & Noble before-the-stools vibes. You remember when they had couches you could melt into? That's the feel here, but even more welcoming. I just stood there for a second soaking it in, already imagining myself curled up with a book or getting some work done in comfort. And let's talk pastries. The display case was a dream--so beautiful I forgot half of what I saw because I was too busy drooling over everything. But the real highlight was Kylee, who greeted me with the sweetest smile and the sharpest cat-eye. She made me feel like an old friend. I told her it was my first time there and she was more than happy to walk me through the menu. I ordered The Egglethorpe, which is hands-down the best breakfast sandwich I've had in a long time. Spicy pork sausage, scrambled eggs, smoked gouda, red onion jam, all served on the fluffiest biscuit that I am not exaggerating about. That biscuit lives rent-free in my mind now. I also grabbed a cheese danish--flaky, buttery, and not overly sweet. It actually made me rethink what a cheese danish could be. Like it was gently telling my taste buds, "We don't do basic anymore." As for my drink, I wanted something chai-based with vanilla, and the barista (who gave me ASAP Rocky with locs energy) made something that was out of this world. Cool, kind, and respectful--when I mentioned heading upstairs to explore, he simply replied "Yes ma'am" in the most polite tone. Somebody raised that young man right. The whole atmosphere reminded me of what I loved about certain coffee shops in Atlanta. It's got that soul, that warmth, and a team that makes you feel seen. This is definitely my new spot. Wonderful place for breakfast and good cup of coffee. Zero line and 2 cashiers help to keep orders moving. There are 2 floors of open space with large tables to sit and eat. Few chairs and tables outside if weather cooperates. We ordered the Liberty Street Sandwich and Avocado Toast. They were able to switch the feta cheese for goat cheese due to allergies. This coffee shop was a great find close to our hotel. The location has been roasting coffee here since 1909! In the early 2000's, they opened up this storefront. The coffee here was delicious! My wife ordered matcha and loved it as well. Plenty of comfortable seats indoors and out. Our barista was also super friendly and informative. Loved this place! read more

I tried the lavender matcha and it was delicious! Not at all powdery and I could taste both the lavender and the matcha. It was definitely on the sweeter side so ask for less sugar if you don't like your iced coffees very sweet! Most notable were their pastries and baked goods everything looked delicious, I only got to try the spanakopita and scone but both were delicious! I def recommend checking this place out. read more

I visited this coffee shop every single day while staying in Historic Downtown. It was the baked goods that I kept going back for. If you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend the Dulce de leche mousse cake. The fluffer nutter scone was another favorite- it had crispy edges but had a moist and gooey center. The egglethorp breakfast sandwich was so yummy! For drinks, the Paris Fog tea was something I've never had anywhere else so I had to try and would recommend. Cozy coffee shop near DT Savannah. Got a yummy iced London Fog and the spanakopita. My friend order the lemon bar, pavlova, and the 7 layer bar. The pavlova was perfect!! The lemon bar was a bit too gooey for me but the flavor is good If I needed a place to do work with yummy food and drinks, I'd definitely come here! Having visited a handful of times, my short and sweet ratings are: *4 Coffee *4 Ambiance *3.5 Food *3.0 Service SCF is an easy walk from most places to its shop on Liberty. Upon entry, an ample and comfy seating area awaits. Walk through and more traditional seating is available as well as merchandise, baked goods, and the order counter. My favorite coffee is SCF's award winning Captains Choice. Normal coffee options are available and a decent menu choices. My wife enjoys the avocado toast. About service. It's been okay. On our recent visit, my Tex-Mex salad arrived at my table without the black beans, cherry tomatoes, and fire roasted corn, and silverware. The lack of a satisfactory initial response by both the server and the manager on duty brought down my rating. While it might have been a one-off, the service in the past was okay. My recommendation: Relax in the front area or outside and enjoy the coffee. read more

It was so good that my boyfriend and I came twice in a single weekend! The coffee beans are prepared in-house so all of the coffees taste absolutely delicious. We shared the BLT and caprese BLT and were left awe-struck by the freshness of the ingredients and the flavors. 10/10 would recommend checking this place out! read more

Cute little coffee shop in downtown Savannah. Had plenty of seating: some small sitting areas with couches and other areas with tables. They also had an upstairs area and seating outside. For drinks, we had an iced caramel macchiato and an iced honey oat cinnamon latte. Very tasty and came out quickly. Food took a little longer (10ish minutes) but we ordered the breakfast burrito and Egglethorpe sandwich to go as we were heading out of town. Food was a 7/10. The egglethorpe had a red onion jam on it that was sweeter than I prefer but still had good flavor. I also ordered it on an English muffin instead of biscuit. They had an awesome pastry and bakery case with danishes, croissants, desserts, etc. but we went savory vs sweet this morning. Next time we are in town, I would probably go back and grab a coffee to take on a stroll downtown. read more

I ordered the strawberry smoothie, assuming it was just a strawberry smoothie. I was given a strawberry banana smoothie, which could be dangerous if I had an allergy. When I brought it up to staff, they were dismissive and rude. I wasn't offered a refund or replacement. We also ordered the soup of the day after being told it was a potato soup. We were told after paying that the soup of the day is actually a mushroom soup. They offered a salad as a replacement, and didn't offer a refund. Very strange vibes, and poor service. read more

Coffee is great, but half the staff needs a major attitude adjustment. You are not doing anyone a favor by serving them coffee. Coffee they paid for, at the register, and had to pick up from a counter. That is the job, if you don't like it then quit. Half our basic food order was forgotten and required arm twisting to get. The ambience inside would best be described as a morgue, so take it to go. Or don't go at all because there are other options in town. read more

Came in here to work a half day and got myself a lavender oat milk latte. Honestly One of the best creamiest latte I've ever had and the lavender was so subtle. The Wi-Fi was OK, but I was able to get my work done in the quiet environment and there's plenty of seating options. I actually found seating on the first floor, but there's also an upstairs area that has additional seating. read more

Walking in was really taken aback how cool and decorative this coffee shop was! We ordered one vanilla honey latte and a mocha iced latte and we loved it. I WOULD LOVE TO GIVE A 5 STAR REVIEW but... The syrups that are used in the specialty drinks really downgrade the exceptional coffee flavor of the beans. I'm such a fan of the beans roasted here and the smoothness of them are second to none in this city. In fact, they are the only ones I use at home! But when they are combined with mediocre factory made syrups, the coffee experience suffers. If Savannah Coffee Roasters used house made syrups, I think it would benefit this business greatly! Not only do they have the longest coffee history in town, but the beans speak for themselves. read more

This is a super cute coffee shop that I like to frequent in Savannah. This is a great place to sit and relax. It's set up in a way that if you want to spend a good amount of time here working, reading, or just enjoying your coffee, you can. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The coffee is very good, and up until this trip, I have only had their coffee. It's delicious, roasty, and flavorful. The coffee is always on point. They also have an amazing bakery case and hot food items. On almost all of my trips to Savannah, I have grabbed either a key lime cheesecake danish or an almond croissant, which are both great. They also have a great selection of pastries and desserts. I needed some breakfast this time, so we actually tried their hot food. Their hot food is decent. I got the breakfast burrito, and my partner got a sandwich. Both were good. This is a coffee shop and not a sit down restaurant, so these aren't 5 star food offerings, but they are good enough that I would be back. read more

I always like going to local coffee shops when visiting different cities. I ended up coming here twice. Their coffee is good. My latte was a little different tasting both times but it was still delicious. The pastries are good as well. I like that they have indoor and outdoor seating and that it's pet friendly: The staff was nice each time as well. read more

It was a cold and rainy December morning, and I was sitting outside in the seating area with my dog and one of the employees came out to invite me inside. I was so glad that my dog was welcomed indoors (and he was on his best behavior). I had a breakfast sandwhich with a hot latte which really hit the spot. This coffee shop is super cool, certainly a great place to hang out or get some work done. Their drinks are high-quality and their prices are reasonable. They also offer a nice selection of pastries and other small bites. Baristas are nice and service was super quick despite the shop being busy. If only I lived in walking distance to Savannah Coffee Roasters. I would definitely be a regular, daily. The menu has it all... coffee made the way you like it, from Americano coffee to Cubano con leche, they make it. Their pastries and baked goods are fresh and delicious. They also serve breakfast. They do it all! This place is definitely a treat. You can walk around, check out the coffee shop decor, shop or take a seat while you enjoy your coffee. The outdoor seating is great for fresh air, and people watching. The indoor seating area is pleasantly cozy and great for mingling with other coffee lovers. Delicious Cold Brew and the Almond Croissant was to die for. I'm not sure if the pastries are made in-house, but if they are.... Great job! I also love how the cold drink cups are designed. It's a nice look and I actually wanted to save it for reuse later on. The location is very spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating. AMAZING HONEY CINNAMON OAT LATTE!!!!!!! I can't wait to come back for another!!! I also ordered the breakfast burrito and it was 3/5 or less. It was kind of cold and came with a Heinz salsa container, kind of wished the salsa was homemade and definitely something easy they could implement in their cafe! However there was potato, sausage, egg, cheese so it still got the job done! They also had beautiful Christmas decor out and the place looked super cozy to go and chill for a while. This is a cute, independent coffee roaster and I was more than willing to walk about 2.5 blocks from my hotel, just so that I could visit Savannah Coffee Roasters for the very first time. I would say that I go to Starbucks 70% of the time but I need to be more like Sam B., and get out here to these individually owned coffee shops to 1) enjoy something new and 2) spread my coffee love around. Savannah Roasters roasts their beans on-site, they have a great selection of pastries and sweets. Although my raspberry, Brie croissant could have used a little more filling. My caramel macchiato hot was outstanding. And I just love the coffee cup and identical sleeve design, it really makes you feel like you're having a customized, special drink.
