I will not come back to this location again. Aside from it being close to where I work, there are no other positives. The service is slow and forgettable, and they consistently skimp on the meat. Each time I get a half and half bowl the majority of the bowl is stacked with rice with the bare minimum amount of chicken/beef. They even skimp on the vegetables (unless you ask for cabbage.) Today I ordered a half and half with broccoli and counted 4 pieces of broccoli...that's it. Lastly, after I had ordered I noticed a price increase, I asked the cashier if the prices had gone up and his reply was, "I don't know." Shouldn't the person handling money and taking orders know if the prices have been raised? That's all I got. Do yourself a favor and go to a different one. read more

I got waited on the side the guy never even ask or acknowledge why I was there for, so I waited then I approached him after a 10 minutes wait, then he says ok, so I wait again and he came back to tell he was waiting for tofu. Ok wth? My customer order an Angus beef plate there is no tofu in there. So waited again!!! I ordered a regular, chicken bowl. The food was kibble bits! I am Not a dog. Secondly, it was soaked in soy sauce so long it was salty and toxic, I could not eat it without gagging. The vegetables were inconsistently cut, cabbage root, broccoli stems, etc. Bowl was full of rice. though. No wonder you have only 3 stars! I give you one. Thank goodness that this Flame Broiler is right in my neighborhood! I really like the white-meat chicken bowl with brown rice, tasty & healthy. The steamed veggies are always al-dente, perfectly steamed & crisp - no idea how they do that by the way. I enjoy the steak too, it's marinaded and usually very tender. My favorite bowl is the half & half bowl with chicken & steak and either brown or white rice. They've added a new condiment called 'crazy' sauce, it's green. Lol, I can't really describe it, it's super spicy but tangy. It's like a hot salsa verde basically, but smooth. I loooove it on everything. This location in the Ralph's shopping center (between Starbucks & Ralph's) is never too busy. I'm usually in and out with my order quickly, the service has been fast and friendly also. read more

My trip to Flame Broiler today ended in disappointment. I ordered a regular sized chicken bowl with brown rice & just broccoli. My food did not even reach the brim of the container, let alone, half way. I guess what you are really paying for when you order a regular sized bowl, is for room to mix the sauces with your food. The chicken was very dry. Asking for only broccoli, I would have thought that I would get whole pieces of broccoli, but instead, I got morsels of broccoli from whatever they could scrape off. The cashier is never super friendly here, but I like to order Flame Broiler take out when I need a quick and cheap meal that is not terrible for my health. Their brown rice option makes me feel like my meal is healthy, even though it may not be. I usually get the mini chicken bowl, which is plenty for one meal or even two if I am not too hungry. I have ordered the mixed bowl before with chicken/beef and I wasn't a fan of the quality of the beef. It had a lot of fatty parts/ligaments but the flavor was fine. For the amount of food they give you, this place is a good deal. I would say Flame Broiler is probably a staple for me, as I am living on a student budget. One of the things I love most about it is they will often have deals on E-foodie for buy one get one free bowls. Thats what I all balling on a budget baby. read more
