They've been open a while now, and I've visited a few times, and it's official. I don't like the mobile drive-thru lane. I'm sure others love it, but I like people interaction. On the visit before this last trip, the mobile lane was actually longer than the regular lane! The main thing they need to add is a sign that says "Wait here, someone will bring your order" because it's unclear how far up to pull up. I also don't like the fact that the employees have to walk in front of cars to bring you your order. It just seems like an accident waiting to happen. In the end, I still like the personal interaction when I enter the drive-thru lane, so I know someone else knows I'm there. With that, the food is as expected, although when visited the day after Valentine's Day, it looks like they gave me a heart-shaped biscuit, which I didn't know what it was. I have always appreciated Chick-fil-A's commitment to hospitality and the idea of "serving others with honor, dignity, and respect." Unfortunately, my experience today at both the Placentia and Brea locations fell far short of those values. At 1:22 p.m., I placed a mobile order and accidentally sent it to the wrong location. This was completely my mistake, and I take full responsibility for that. However, what should have been a simple solution turned into an almost two-hour ordeal. My boyfriend drove to the Placentia location to pick up the order. While waiting in the drive-thru, he sat for approximately 15-20 minutes without anyone acknowledging him or even letting him know someone would be with him shortly. The wait became so excessive that several cars actually left the line. When he was finally helped, he was told my order had been placed at the Brea location. Since both restaurants are owned by Chrissy Hartmann, I asked if they could simply remake the order there and cancel the original. Initially, we were told they could not and that we would need to cancel the order ourselves and purchase it again, despite the fact that the order had already been paid for through the app. Eventually, they were able to make it work--which left me wondering why that solution wasn't offered from the beginning. My boyfriend then drove from Placentia to the Brea location, where he once again waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged him. The one bright spot in this experience was Fiona. She was kind, attentive, and genuinely wanted to help. When she couldn't locate my order, she immediately involved the supervisor, who simply handed her a card to manually ring in and comp the order. If the solution was that straightforward, why wasn't it offered at the first location? More importantly, why did no manager or supervisor come over to apologize for the repeated delays or take ownership of the situation? After more than an hour of waiting, driving between two locations, and dealing with unnecessary confusion, the only gesture offered was an ice cream cone. While I appreciate the thought, it did not address the lack of communication, urgency, or accountability we experienced. My boyfriend finally arrived home with our food at 2:55 p.m.--over an hour and a half after I placed the order. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident. Recently, I received a free sandwich after another excessively long drive-thru wait for a single item. Just two weeks before that, I was given the wrong order entirely, and when I went inside to have it corrected, I was questioned and asked to prove it with my receipt rather than being met with the trust and hospitality Chick-fil-A is known for. At this point, the pattern is disappointing. While I understand mistakes happen, what matters most is how they're handled. Neither location demonstrated the sense of urgency, ownership, or care that Chick-fil-A has built its reputation on. Thank you, Fiona, for treating us with kindness and professionalism. You were the only person during this experience who truly embodied the Chick-fil-A standard of caring for guests. Sadly, my family and I will be taking our business to the Fullerton location moving forward. I sincerely hope the Placentia and Brea restaurants refocus on the service values that have made Chick-fil-A such a respected brand. We assumed the drive-thru would be faster, but that wasn't the case -- it took a solid 20 minutes from the time we got in line to receiving our order. We ordered our usual: a 12-count meal and 4-count strips. Everything was straightforward and accurate, no issues with the food itself. The plaza looks fairly new, and judging by the mostly empty parking lot, not many people were dining in. Maybe most people, like us, were just grabbing food to go. The food as well was spot on and my order arrived literally within two minutes of me placing it. On top of all of this, the staff is amazing and the ambiance is really peaceful, perfect for studying or getting work done. Went for Grand opening Day 10.09.25 At 3 pm after my younger kids got out of school. It was pretty busy since a lot of kids were hungry after school. Like my own kids lol Food at cfa is always fresh & food. On point. It was a bit chaos when receiving our food. Associate Patti was such a sweetheart. 2 of our kids meal was missing when she 1st originally brought our meals and when i told her. She went n got our missed meals asap. Along with checking in on us, when kids were ready to redeem their books from kids meal for ice dream cups. She went and grabbed it for us. Restaurant is clean, staff are attentive on 1st day. Kept checking in on us to see if we needed any refill on drinks etc. Lots of indoor seatings & outdoor patio chairs and tables with umbrellas available. Play area is open for toddler/children play. The location itself is pretty big and in its own corner lot. With a pretty big parking lot. Across from Ralph's supermarket. This will definitely be my go to cfa now since it's a bit closer than the Brea location along w the YL location also. read more

Official grand opening on 10.09.25! The newest Chick Fil A is open for business! The store seems huge and the parking lot is too! I chose to use the drive thru today. This is also is huge, wrapping around 3/4 of the building. There are 2 lanes, one of which is dedicated to mobile pick up orders. Today there were 3 employees on hand held devices taking orders out in the drive thru. At the actual drive thru window there were too many employees walking up to the window to grab orders for the mobile order customers and for cars that had been asked to "pull forward." Even though I wasn't pulled up as close as usual to the window, these runners were still bumping into my car and side mirror to grab orders. It would serve both car customers and employees better if there were another area to retrieve these orders from. I hope the owners consider making an improvement in this. Haven't had chick fil a in a while, so decided to check this one out since it's a few blocks from my house and hope they worked out the kinks from when they first opened. Ordered on the app and I went through the mobile thru line which is to the right of the regular drive thru line. Just scan the sign they have there with your app and they'll start preparing your order. Not sure if this mobile thru thing is a new thing at all chick fil a's, but it did save some time as I bypassed about 8 cars. The worker who handed me the order asked me to confirm everything in the bag was correct. Not sure if that's always done, but it's good that they're making sure it's all there before you drive off. Can't complain about the food. Haven't been in a while and it tasted a little bland to me, but overall, it was still pretty good. read more

The newest Chick-Fil-A! Wow! They have the entire location to themselves. I remember the land they are on, had a colony of ground squirrels that have been there for many years. Did they get relocated? I visited the several days ago (not on Sunday), and went inside, ordered food, sat down and enjoyed a delightful original Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich meal. I been eating there once a Month since they opened. I have been there about 10 times and 3 out of 10 times they have screwed up my order. The last time was on June 30, and I called Chik Fil a cares that day. I was told I was going to get a refund on my MC and here it is July 7th and no credit to my card. Need to recognize Anthony for amazing service. My 2yr old son was eating too fast and threw up on the table. Before my wife and I could clean it up Anthony took action and was persistent to clean it up using a full cleanup kit. What really made an impression on us was how he kept so calm and made us feel like it was no big deal. Many times we apologized and Anthony made sure we did not feel like a problem. My wife dropped an ice cream cone during all of this and Anthony directed us up front for a replacement where Joseph replaced it no questions asked. Great visit and true old school service. Also . . . Before this all happened, Anthony noticed us while I was also trying to calm my 4mo old while my wife and 2yo ate. He checked us on multiple times and offered a booster chair. He was very aware of the surroundings and demonstrated critical thinking. Anyone with newborns/toddlers know going out anywhere in public can be a disaster which this almost was. Drive-thru was super busy but inside was empty so I chose to eat in, took a few minutes to get my food but I'm sure that was due to the drive-thru. Food was mostly hot and order was correct; the top layer of my hash browns were hot and crunchy, but then the lower half of the box were not fully cooked and lukewarm - breakfast biscuit sandwich was hot enough to eat but not as hot as I'd prefer, or am used to at other locations. But when I got to the drive through window I kindly asked if I could change the vanilla milkshake to chocolate. I get this location is new and I should give them the benefit of the doubt. However, I went in yesterday and today and while waiting I was not even acknowledged. The waiting monitor showed my food was ready yet I waited 5 minutes before having to get ANYONE's attention to figure out where my food was. This was both yesterday and today. This was also the first location I've experienced that skimped out on the fries. Fries didn't even fill fry box with 5 pieces of fries inside. I also ordered a Dr. Pepper and was given Diet Coke. I was quite unimpressed with my first visit to the new Placentia location. Ordering went fine at the counter for our eat-in meal. We ordered 2 #1 sandwiches, 2 fries and 2 drinks. When the food arrived the tray had 1 deluxe #1 (not ordered), 1 fry and 1 drink. I showed the server my receipt and in a few minutes he returned with the remainder of our order. This is my 3rd time visiting and I know they just opened, but there has been a small issue each time. 1st visit-6:30am-Was told they don't have ice cream at that time when I ordered an iced coffee. They quickly made the iced coffee and apologized. 2nd Visit-5:30pm-Ordered a salad with nuggets instead of spicy grilled cold fillet. Got the grilled cold fillet. Thankfully I received a coupon to replace. 3rd Visit-6:15am-Made me a hot coffee when I ordered iced coffee, she corrected it but didn't put in the cream and syrup that it shows on the app. Employee told me that is not how that location makes their iced coffee but corrected it for me. We are so happy to have a chick-fil-a within walking distance from us! Our first visit was on opening day and there were obvious challenges but that's to be expected as they were pretty busy. My second visit was today 10/21 and it took us about 20 minutes to get our pick up order. The dining room was pretty empty and there were maybe 2-3 cars MAX in the drive thru. So not too busy at all so not sure why it was such a long wait. There was also another person waiting who looked clearly annoyed that it was taking so long.
