so little cole slaw even after I asked for it on the side and requested extra

It's been three years since I came here last and had a poor experience. This time was a lot better and service, speed and food quality was great.

We were hungry and in this area. We had both seen Clyde's before and their other locations but never tried them. We decided to stop by. They had plenty of parking up front and in the back. The staff was friendly and patient with our ignorance on their menu. They have plenty of seating area and a casual vibe. We went for the original combo and the wings with original spice. The burger was good with the spice of the chicken balancing out with the other ingredients. The fries were super crisp! They were better than chick-fil-a ones. My wings were super juicy and really crunchy wings. I had the lowest spice level other than mild and they for sure had a kick! The sauce helped toning the spice down but they were good. The food took about 15 mins to come out so it is not super fast it's more like a fast casual. I was surprised that I was unable to find nutritional facts anywhere so I'll guess it's good for the soul! Overall a relatively quick and calm meal.

Another great location for this venerable franchise. As always, the tenders were screaming hot without being unbearable and super tender without the breading getting all soggy. The crust of the chicken was crunchy, seasoned, and delightful. The dining room was emptier compared to other locations I've been to. Maybe it was just a slow period or the area just doesn't see much foot traffic. But I still had a good sense that this would be a nice location to hang out with friends on another night. The staff was helpful as always, despite it being dead. They still managed to sound as if they cared rather than bored, which is a good sign. I don't know the next time I'll be in the area, but it's nice to know there's always Clyde's for a dining option.

To be honest, I've tried many different hot chicken spots, and most have left me disappointed -- bland chicken, dry meat, and a feeling of total unsatisfaction. Clyde's Hot Chicken, on the other hand, never disappoints. They soar above the competition in flavor, portion size, friendly atmosphere, and amazing service. I drive all the way from Corona, CA -- a 35-minute trek down the dreaded 91 freeway -- just to enjoy their incredible food with my wife and kids. My family loves the OG Hot, while I go straight for the 1930, a perfect mix of heat, spice, and a touch of sweetness that hits just right. If you're looking for a hot chicken experience that delivers every single time, Clyde's Hot Chicken is the place.

Clyde's Hot Chicken - Yorba Linda Dropped by Clyde's for a Father's Day weekend DoorDash pickup. The spot was completely empty, and the team at the counter was friendly and approachable, which I appreciated. The place looked clean, but a bunch of the soda taps were out of order, which felt kind of lazy--especially on a weekend like this. That kind of oversight always reflects back on the GM or whoever's running the show. Small detail, but it sets the tone. I grabbed the order, confirmed it in the app, and as I was pulling away, someone came rushing out to flag me down--turns out I was given the wrong order. I went back in, and it turned into a whole scene. Multiple staff digging through receipts, checking, swapping, removing items--it was a hot mess, no pun intended. They stayed polite, which I respect, but it was incredibly inconvenient. While I was there, another customer was asking for a couple small sauces, probably to go with her meal. After all that confusion, they still mentioned she had to pay extra for dips. Like come on--it's sauce, not liquid gold. I get it--business is business. But if you're trying to build repeat customers, you comp the damn sauce and let them know it's usually a charge. That woman ended up digging through her purse to cough up change over something that should've been a gesture of goodwill, especially after the sloppy service. The food might be good, but details like this matter. If you want people to come back, act like you care about their time as much as they care about yours.

Tried Daves Hot Chicken as well, in comparison Clydes win with how clean the store is, how nice the employees were, especially John who was very patient/polite to my gf and me as it was our first time tryin, and overall taste. Definitely a spot I would be returning to(and so far the only place that still has Mr. Pibb soda)

Met with John, owner today. Great person and business man. He knows how to treat his staff and customers alike. Every person that ordered to go or dined today had smiles on their faces. Definitely coming back for some more.

Quality is amazing, pricy but worth it. Definitely one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. The Mac and cheese was not so good but the sandwich, sauce and fries are great.

$17 for 3 CHICKEN STRIPS (no fries or drink). It's PRICEY! But they are pretty big & best seasoning I've ever had. Give it a try!
    Lisa T.

PRICE (3/5): The price caught me off guard! I thought this was Fast Food so I came here for a quick & cheap bite only to find out that 3 chicken strips (no drink or fries) cost $17! It is indeed expensive, but after I tried the food I think it's more justified. Just to put it into perspective, I was debating between Clyde's Chicken Strips (3 strips = $17) or Capital Noodles Bars (Filet Mignon Cubes = $17). FOOD (4/5): $17 for 3 CHICKEN STRIPS: only the strips! Yes, it's expensive. It's also the BEST seasonings on chicken strips I've had anywhere in this area. They are also the BIGGEST sized chicken strips I've ever seen. Each strip is about half the size of a chicken breast. They are also the FRESHEST chicken strips I've had. I really enjoyed these and I had HIGH expectations after the $17 price point. I'd come back if I'm craving deliciously fresh & tasty chicken strips and willing to pay this price. It's not an unreasonable price for a meal, but for a fast food chicken strips yes it is pricey. Pick your poison. But definitely try it at least once before you write it off because of the price because it might change your mind! DRIVE THRU (3/5): Usually when a place has a drive thru I assume it's Fast Food. This place is in between Fast Food and a casual dining spot. They make everything FRESH to order so it may take about 10 minutes or so. Worth it to me for fresh food! Kind of a weird drive thru entrance. SERVICE (5/5): It was my first time here, I went thru the drive-thru at a non-busy hour. The worker was so patient with me and answered all my questions since I was unfamiliar with the menu.

You order at a kiosk, take a number, and go sit at a table (indoors or out) where your food will be delivered. We initially attempted to order at the counter but were ignored so we did the kiosk routine. I went with a prosciutto panini and a hot vanilla latte. The latte was average but good. The same could be said of the panini which, aside from the prosciutto, included arugula, garlic aioli, tomato, and mozzarella (it usually comes with roasted bell pepper but I asked to leave that ingredient off). The sandwich came with a pedestrian house salad; some greens with four grape tomatoes and a balsamic dressing. There is a huge free parking structure across the street which makes coming here easy. I thought lunch was okay but I wouldn't make it a priority to return.

In both cases they were unable to prepare the food well. Last week I had eggs Benedict and the egg yolks were solid and The English muffin was not really toasted and was cold. I sent the Benedict back but Asked to keep the rest of the food because I was hungry. The girl ignored my Request, Took my entire plate and did not return with the other food on it. I literally waited 10 minutes for them to redo the eggs while my partner finished his breakfast and I had nothing to eat. The Hollandaise sauce was Very Good, but ham on the Benedict was incredibly thin. I've had many eggs Benedict and this was unusual to offer A slice of ham comparable to a thin deli slice. My partner's omelette Was quite Brown but had good veggies in it. His hashbrowns were barely cooked. Today We both ordered a veggie omelette with chicken in my partner's. I made it very clear that my veggie omelette should not be Brown (= overcooked) . The girl read Back our order and she wrote My request very clearly. What arrived at our table was quite a shock! My omelette was definitely Brown and my partner's omelette was dark Brown. My brown omelette had chicken (his order) and his omelette was actually my order and dark brown! I've never seen an omelette served that was that overcooked! How could they possibly ignore the instructions and mixed them up? Add to this that his toast was burnt. Really? You can't prepare Toast properly? When I brought it to their attention one of the girls she said I could see how you might think that as I showed her the burnt toast. She said we have already put everything away in the kitchen and so I don't know that we can do anything about it. We said it would be fine if it's an English muffin but, something that's not burnt. She disappeared into the kitchen for quite a while. Eventually when she resurfaced she brought the unevenly toasted bread, (But not burnt) and proceeded to tell us the following: " If you would get here earlier (We arrived 40 min before closing) we could serve you better" ( I later realized Those must be words from the owner). So if I arrive earlier my food wont be overcooked?Or if I arrive earlier they Have time to correct their mistakes? I knew the kitchen closes at 1:40. Waiting at the counter To ask about soup, I stood for 5 + minutes watching 5 employees move about. Finally I was able to ask and waited another minute or so while she went to go to the Back to ask. Now in line to order the man before me was trying to order (before 1:40) a vegan omelette. The girl said it was too late. He explained he had driven all the way from Riverside and it was still within the timeframe to order. She went back into the kitchen and a woman came out. (the owner? ) . The woman proceeded to chastise the young man for coming in late and trying to order a vegan omelette. She told him he'd done this before and he should get here earlier. He explained that he had not actually ordered but had tried. She said several times that she would make an exception this time but it can't happen again. And she continued to chastise him. Who treats their customers like this? .I literally watched the minutes tick by, wondering if I'd make it before the cutoff. More people entered. . Ah oh, do they know about the cutoff in 1 minute?? The girl behind the counter announced that no more orders would be taken after 1:45. Aw, they were being generous by allowing five more minutes to order. But there's no way these people could get their order in within the next five minutes. Will they say, too late, After they've been waiting in Line? Why not say instead, our kitchen is closing but we will be happy to take your orders. And why not hang a sign on the door that says the kitchen is closed at 1:40 But still accommodate diners's needs? The omelette tasted good but the experience was so negative, Such unkindness, Completely lacking in hospitality.
