    I must confess I still believe 1930 () 3-Tender Combo from #ClydesHotChickenPlacentia
    Mojo S.

Another great location for this venerable franchise. As always, the tenders were screaming hot without being unbearable and super tender without the breading getting all soggy. The crust of the chicken was crunchy, seasoned, and delightful. The dining room was emptier compared to other locations I've been to. Maybe it was just a slow period or the area just doesn't see much foot traffic. But I still had a good sense that this would be a nice location to hang out with friends on another night. The staff was helpful as always, despite it being dead. They still managed to sound as if they cared rather than bored, which is a good sign. I don't know the next time I'll be in the area, but it's nice to know there's always Clyde's for a dining option.

To be honest, I've tried many different hot chicken spots, and most have left me disappointed -- bland chicken, dry meat, and a feeling of total unsatisfaction. Clyde's Hot Chicken, on the other hand, never disappoints. They soar above the competition in flavor, portion size, friendly atmosphere, and amazing service. I drive all the way from Corona, CA -- a 35-minute trek down the dreaded 91 freeway -- just to enjoy their incredible food with my wife and kids. My family loves the OG Hot, while I go straight for the 1930, a perfect mix of heat, spice, and a touch of sweetness that hits just right. If you're looking for a hot chicken experience that delivers every single time, Clyde's Hot Chicken is the place.

Clyde's Hot Chicken - Yorba Linda Dropped by Clyde's for a Father's Day weekend DoorDash pickup. The spot was completely empty, and the team at the counter was friendly and approachable, which I appreciated. The place looked clean, but a bunch of the soda taps were out of order, which felt kind of lazy--especially on a weekend like this. That kind of oversight always reflects back on the GM or whoever's running the show. Small detail, but it sets the tone. I grabbed the order, confirmed it in the app, and as I was pulling away, someone came rushing out to flag me down--turns out I was given the wrong order. I went back in, and it turned into a whole scene. Multiple staff digging through receipts, checking, swapping, removing items--it was a hot mess, no pun intended. They stayed polite, which I respect, but it was incredibly inconvenient. While I was there, another customer was asking for a couple small sauces, probably to go with her meal. After all that confusion, they still mentioned she had to pay extra for dips. Like come on--it's sauce, not liquid gold. I get it--business is business. But if you're trying to build repeat customers, you comp the damn sauce and let them know it's usually a charge. That woman ended up digging through her purse to cough up change over something that should've been a gesture of goodwill, especially after the sloppy service. The food might be good, but details like this matter. If you want people to come back, act like you care about their time as much as they care about yours.

Tried Daves Hot Chicken as well, in comparison Clydes win with how clean the store is, how nice the employees were, especially John who was very patient/polite to my gf and me as it was our first time tryin, and overall taste. Definitely a spot I would be returning to(and so far the only place that still has Mr. Pibb soda)

Quality is amazing, pricy but worth it. Definitely one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. The Mac and cheese was not so good but the sandwich, sauce and fries are great.

Met with John, owner today. Great person and business man. He knows how to treat his staff and customers alike. Every person that ordered to go or dined today had smiles on their faces. Definitely coming back for some more.

Food was amazing and service was top tier Chance was super nice and extremely helpful and funny. Get the skinny chick with waffle fries so good place was clean and food came quick and fresh !!!

$17 for 3 CHICKEN STRIPS (no fries or drink). It's PRICEY! But they are pretty big & best seasoning I've ever had. Give it a try!

PRICE (3/5): The price caught me off guard! I thought this was Fast Food so I came here for a quick & cheap bite only to find out that 3 chicken strips (no drink or fries) cost $17! It is indeed expensive, but after I tried the food I think it's more justified. Just to put it into perspective, I was debating between Clyde's Chicken Strips (3 strips = $17) or Capital Noodles Bars (Filet Mignon Cubes = $17). FOOD (4/5): $17 for 3 CHICKEN STRIPS: only the strips! Yes, it's expensive. It's also the BEST seasonings on chicken strips I've had anywhere in this area. They are also the BIGGEST sized chicken strips I've ever seen. Each strip is about half the size of a chicken breast. They are also the FRESHEST chicken strips I've had. I really enjoyed these and I had HIGH expectations after the $17 price point. I'd come back if I'm craving deliciously fresh & tasty chicken strips and willing to pay this price. It's not an unreasonable price for a meal, but for a fast food chicken strips yes it is pricey. Pick your poison. But definitely try it at least once before you write it off because of the price because it might change your mind! DRIVE THRU (3/5): Usually when a place has a drive thru I assume it's Fast Food. This place is in between Fast Food and a casual dining spot. They make everything FRESH to order so it may take about 10 minutes or so. Worth it to me for fresh food! Kind of a weird drive thru entrance. SERVICE (5/5): It was my first time here, I went thru the drive-thru at a non-busy hour. The worker was so patient with me and answered all my questions since I was unfamiliar with the menu.

Such great customer service and the food was so good! They even have shakes, I was so excited! Plus they had so many different sports games on the flat screen TVs. We will definitely be coming back! #clydeshotchicken

Food was horrible. Fries had no seasoning. Chicken had no seasoning just the original sauce they poured on top. I had to ask for a new coke because they over did it with the ice and it was watered down. My new coke just the same. I ordered through the drive thru. Waited about 8 minutes until they will my payment and another 10-12 minutes before betting my food. Possibly longer. For the wait they gave me a free Original sauce. Ridiculous. They should have given half off my food or something. I feel like I waisted $17 on this meal. It should never have costed that to begin with.

The place is easy to get to, in the parking garage is right next to it, so no problem there. Bruxie was open and airy, with indoor and outdoor seating. It was a beautiful, cool and breezy day, so we opted to sit outside. We ordered at the counter, and then the food was brought to us. My. +1 ordered the chicken waffles, which came with two large pieces of chicken, a good sized, waffle, and plenty of syrup. We order a smaller kid-sized portion for our Little. I thought I would try the Super Cluck, which was basically a chicken and waffle sandwich, but it came with bacon, an egg over easy, and melted slices of cheddar cheese. I'm not sure that I would order it again because there were other things on the menu that looked delicious, but I was hungry after a workout and wanted all of the proteins. The sliced cheese melted into the waffle was a little weird, but it was I'll filling. Overall, we all ate our fill (and then some), and the pricing was pretty reasonable for what we got. We didn't even have room for popcorn at the movie afterwards!

Honestly, I originally wanted a smoothie, but the cashier informed me they didn't have any, which surprised me. I'm not sure if it's just a late-night thing or if they stop serving them, but that aside, the strawberry waffle was fantastic. It was fresh and just as good as the one I had at another place, super delicious,! though definitely a calorie bomb. If you're watching your intake or on a diet, maybe skip it, since it's pretty rich in sugar and carbs. But I was really satisfied with the quality. everything was fresh, and the staff were great. The vibe inside Bruxie is really nice. they have a great store layout, and even though when I arrived there was no line, most tables were filled, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Overall, a really nice experience.

For some reason the refinery spend their 40 minutes cooking the hell out of my burger, and they could even put the tooth pick in the middle of my burger, like is it that hard to stab my burger in the middle. I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.

Once again, the owner welcomed us with her warm smile, which always makes the experience even better. We ordered the half-and-half (sweet & spicy), waffle fries, the deluxe chicken sandwich, and tteokbokki. The fried chicken consistency is unbelievable -- just as perfect as the first time I came. Super crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. This time, though, my eyes were on the sandwich. It comes with two large tenders, coleslaw, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and sauce -- and honestly, it's one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. The bun is soft (I believe it's a potato bun), which makes it even better. The tenders are extremely crispy -- not soggy like some other places -- and the portion size is generous. You can literally hear the crunch when you bite into it. The sauce is very similar to Cane's sauce -- the one everyone loves -- and it pairs perfectly with the crispy chicken. The tteokbokki tasted just like the street vendors in Korea. My mom loves tteokbokki and really knows authentic flavor, and she said this one is even better than many local spots. That says a lot. The waffle fries were crispy -- unlike Chick-fil-A, which can sometimes be soft. I highly recommend dining in so you can enjoy everything fresh and at its best. Honestly, I'm not going anywhere else for Korean fried chicken.
