    Clyde's Original Combo

We were hungry and in this area. We had both seen Clyde's before and their other locations but never tried them. We decided to stop by. They had plenty of parking up front and in the back. The staff was friendly and patient with our ignorance on their menu. They have plenty of seating area and a casual vibe. We went for the original combo and the wings with original spice. The burger was good with the spice of the chicken balancing out with the other ingredients. The fries were super crisp! They were better than chick-fil-a ones. My wings were super juicy and really crunchy wings. I had the lowest spice level other than mild and they for sure had a kick! The sauce helped toning the spice down but they were good. The food took about 15 mins to come out so it is not super fast it's more like a fast casual. I was surprised that I was unable to find nutritional facts anywhere so I'll guess it's good for the soul! Overall a relatively quick and calm meal.

    I must confess I still believe 1930 () 3-Tender Combo from #ClydesHotChickenPlacentia

Another great location for this venerable franchise. As always, the tenders were screaming hot without being unbearable and super tender without the breading getting all soggy. The crust of the chicken was crunchy, seasoned, and delightful. The dining room was emptier compared to other locations I've been to. Maybe it was just a slow period or the area just doesn't see much foot traffic. But I still had a good sense that this would be a nice location to hang out with friends on another night. The staff was helpful as always, despite it being dead. They still managed to sound as if they cared rather than bored, which is a good sign. I don't know the next time I'll be in the area, but it's nice to know there's always Clyde's for a dining option.

To be honest, I've tried many different hot chicken spots, and most have left me disappointed -- bland chicken, dry meat, and a feeling of total unsatisfaction. Clyde's Hot Chicken, on the other hand, never disappoints. They soar above the competition in flavor, portion size, friendly atmosphere, and amazing service. I drive all the way from Corona, CA -- a 35-minute trek down the dreaded 91 freeway -- just to enjoy their incredible food with my wife and kids. My family loves the OG Hot, while I go straight for the 1930, a perfect mix of heat, spice, and a touch of sweetness that hits just right. If you're looking for a hot chicken experience that delivers every single time, Clyde's Hot Chicken is the place.

Clyde's Hot Chicken - Yorba Linda Dropped by Clyde's for a Father's Day weekend DoorDash pickup. The spot was completely empty, and the team at the counter was friendly and approachable, which I appreciated. The place looked clean, but a bunch of the soda taps were out of order, which felt kind of lazy--especially on a weekend like this. That kind of oversight always reflects back on the GM or whoever's running the show. Small detail, but it sets the tone. I grabbed the order, confirmed it in the app, and as I was pulling away, someone came rushing out to flag me down--turns out I was given the wrong order. I went back in, and it turned into a whole scene. Multiple staff digging through receipts, checking, swapping, removing items--it was a hot mess, no pun intended. They stayed polite, which I respect, but it was incredibly inconvenient. While I was there, another customer was asking for a couple small sauces, probably to go with her meal. After all that confusion, they still mentioned she had to pay extra for dips. Like come on--it's sauce, not liquid gold. I get it--business is business. But if you're trying to build repeat customers, you comp the damn sauce and let them know it's usually a charge. That woman ended up digging through her purse to cough up change over something that should've been a gesture of goodwill, especially after the sloppy service. The food might be good, but details like this matter. If you want people to come back, act like you care about their time as much as they care about yours.

Tried Daves Hot Chicken as well, in comparison Clydes win with how clean the store is, how nice the employees were, especially John who was very patient/polite to my gf and me as it was our first time tryin, and overall taste. Definitely a spot I would be returning to(and so far the only place that still has Mr. Pibb soda)

Quality is amazing, pricy but worth it. Definitely one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had. The Mac and cheese was not so good but the sandwich, sauce and fries are great.

Met with John, owner today. Great person and business man. He knows how to treat his staff and customers alike. Every person that ordered to go or dined today had smiles on their faces. Definitely coming back for some more.

$17 for 3 CHICKEN STRIPS (no fries or drink). It's PRICEY! But they are pretty big & best seasoning I've ever had. Give it a try!

PRICE (3/5): The price caught me off guard! I thought this was Fast Food so I came here for a quick & cheap bite only to find out that 3 chicken strips (no drink or fries) cost $17! It is indeed expensive, but after I tried the food I think it's more justified. Just to put it into perspective, I was debating between Clyde's Chicken Strips (3 strips = $17) or Capital Noodles Bars (Filet Mignon Cubes = $17). FOOD (4/5): $17 for 3 CHICKEN STRIPS: only the strips! Yes, it's expensive. It's also the BEST seasonings on chicken strips I've had anywhere in this area. They are also the BIGGEST sized chicken strips I've ever seen. Each strip is about half the size of a chicken breast. They are also the FRESHEST chicken strips I've had. I really enjoyed these and I had HIGH expectations after the $17 price point. I'd come back if I'm craving deliciously fresh & tasty chicken strips and willing to pay this price. It's not an unreasonable price for a meal, but for a fast food chicken strips yes it is pricey. Pick your poison. But definitely try it at least once before you write it off because of the price because it might change your mind! DRIVE THRU (3/5): Usually when a place has a drive thru I assume it's Fast Food. This place is in between Fast Food and a casual dining spot. They make everything FRESH to order so it may take about 10 minutes or so. Worth it to me for fresh food! Kind of a weird drive thru entrance. SERVICE (5/5): It was my first time here, I went thru the drive-thru at a non-busy hour. The worker was so patient with me and answered all my questions since I was unfamiliar with the menu.

Such great customer service and the food was so good! They even have shakes, I was so excited! Plus they had so many different sports games on the flat screen TVs. We will definitely be coming back! #clydeshotchicken

This location is primarily a takeout spot since it's very small inside. I've picked up food from this location twice since they opened and have no complaints at all. I 100% recommend their Half & Half Whole Chicken with their Golden Original & Secret Sauce. The one thing that bb.q Chicken does that blows every other competitor out of the water is their secret sauce. It's basically Korean fried chicken on crack because the flavor is BOMBDOTCOM. Hurry up and order online to pick-up some finger lickin' good fried chicken from this little spot. Service was pretty bad .. there was a screen to order on counter when you first walk in.. I thought we had to order before sitting so I started my order.. guy asked if we was taking to go or eating here I said we would like to eat here so he gave us some menus and told us to pick any table. We picked our table and looked at the menu for a good while waiting for him to come take our order but he never did nor did he explain that we had to order on the mini screen from the table. My son said," mom maybe we have to order on the screen" and so we ordered from screen. When the food came out he brought it over one by one but never said a word to us.. literally plopped it down and walked away. He brought us our 3 soda cans with 1 cup of ice and two cups stacked under it. I asked if I can have another cup of ice and he brought over one more cup with literally 4 piece of ice in it. lol ‍ After all our food came out we ate without him ever coming over to ask us if we needed anything else.. when we were done I asked for some boxes to take our leftover and he didn't say a word just brought boxes over and a bag and left it on table and walked away lol.. his service was pretty bad honestly .. but the chicken was so good! So crispy and I added a spicy sauce on the side and it was spicy goodness! The cabbage salad with house thousand island was delicious too! The cheese balls was good but on the sweeter side. The fries were crispy and delicious. The star of our lunch was for sure the crispy chicken wings so good! I wish we had one in sac!

For some reason the refinery spend their 40 minutes cooking the hell out of my burger, and they could even put the tooth pick in the middle of my burger, like is it that hard to stab my burger in the middle. I honestly don't know how The Refinery inside the Hilton in Brea manages to stay open. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. First off, the place looks nice when you walk in, but that's where the positives end. The service was painfully slow -- not the "busy restaurant" kind of slow, but the "did anyone remember we're here?" kind. We waited forever just to get water, and it somehow took even longer for the food. Then the food actually showed up... and wow. Bland, overpriced, and somehow still cold. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp since last week. For a restaurant attached to a Hilton, I expected at least basic quality, but this felt like cafeteria food with steakhouse prices. To make things worse, the staff acted like helping customers was a huge inconvenience. No check-ins, no refills, no effort. Just vibes of "please eat and leave." Between the slow service, disappointing food, and ridiculous prices, this place feels like a tourist trap hiding in a hotel lobby. Save your money and eat literally anywhere else in Brea. Even a gas station snack run would be a better experience.
