regular icy beers
Cat N.

We came on a Wednesday night for dinner & parked in the many spaces they had in a huge parking lot behind the restaurant. There were pretty lights out on the patio next to it making it easy to find. We were seated right away at a table then waited 5 minutes incase there was a server to take our order but quickly realized there wasn't one so we ordered on the tablet at our table! It was an easy screen to scroll & add food/drink items. They have a limited menu and were out of the huge beer cups for the icy beers which was what we came for.. so bummed because it wasn't super busy! We ordered chicken skewers, regular fries, & 2 regular icy beers which was total under $50! The food came out within 10 minutes & looked like decent portions if you're not super hungry. The icy beers tasted amazing the first few big sips but seemed underwhelming like it was regular cold beer nothing fancy. Once we clicked to pay for check, a worker came straight away to help pay us out. Only contact we had with workers was when being sat & paid out which is fine but I guess I was expecting regular dining experience. Overall, service & beer were okay but food made up for it by being pretty good!

Came in today with my hometown friends, and here's my honest thoughts! The environment is super chill, loud music, and is very inviting! I enjoyed their food choices, and their wings and their spicy octopus was good! However, maybe I had a bit too high of an expectation as I found the beer itself was very underwhelming. While we enjoyed how cold it was, we thought the beer itself was a bit bland. Coming into here expecting a cold beer, it was satisfyingly cold however the taste was definitely lacking in flavor! While the beer was not up to my expectations, I definitely would come back just for the atmosphere and good vibes, just wanted to share my opinion on the beer itself as it's one of it's main points! The service was also just okay, since you order from a tablet and don't interact with the staff as much, there wasn't much interaction so can't say much about that! Overall, decent experience, would come back again!

Solid food but the beer is delicious. Super cold! Go for the larger size the smaller one is tiny cause the cup takes up space. Good spot for hang out food!

Yay, glad we finally got to try this place! I've heard great things about how refreshing the ice beer is so we came by on a hot hot Sunday afternoon to try it out. We got ice beer and some light snacks and it was great! The place is a lot smaller than I thought- only about 10 tables inside and there's a patio as well. Would be tough for a larger group. We did bring our toddler and he ate the bowl of udon (they also have white rice, ramen and fries for toddler friendly options) and another table had their baby in a car seat. They also have high chairs! Would definitely come back for more refreshing ice beer! Order everything via the tablet which is nice.

Would I come back? I came here 4 times in 1 week. So YES YES I WOULD. OVERALL: ‣ Amazing friends + vibes ‣ Service is good, food is delicious Here's What I've Gotten: 10oz & 16oz Ice Cold Beer: ‣ [9/10] ‣ I'm not usually one to drink beer, but there's something about a nice ICE cold beer ‣ Especially making a soju bomb with the Apricot Saero !! Ramen Tteokbokki: ‣ [8/10] ‣ I wish they had a bigger option -- especially for bigger groups Corn Cheese: ‣ [10/10] ‣ Get it with the Tteokbokki !! ‣ Love the torched flavor Boneless Soy Garlic Wings: ‣ [8/10] ‣ Good flavor & crunch ATMOSPHERE: ‣ Good for parties small to medium sized parties ‣ Booth seating available, chair seating, outdoor/patio seating ‣ Really nice Korean pocha vibe ‣ I appreciate the ordering system -- iPad's at each table PERSONAL INSIGHT (My opinion will differ from others because of my personal taste and preferences): ‣ My spice tolerance SUCKS, so I can't handle a lot BUT their Ramen Tteokbokki + the corn cheese is a great combination to mellow down the spice PARKING: ‣ FREE parking STAFF: ‣ Patient but not very attentive. You have to ask for water and the last time I went, we called for the check and the server but ended up waiting 15-20 minutes. A little disappointed. IG & TikTok: @keilanieats

Nothing like some ice cold beers and grub food for a good time with the boys. Free unlimited popcorn which is nice. Food was really good. We got the chicken skewers to munch on. The mayonnaise dipping sauce that it comes with was really good. Service was super fast right there. Literally sat down, ordered from the tablet and our food & drinks came out within under 5 mins. Then literally under 3 mins after that with rounds of beer incoming. Ambiance is nice and simple. They got seating on the inside and outside with a good amount of tables. We went with a group of 5. They have two restrooms (M/F). Overall, this place is great for quenching your thirst with some truly, frosty cold ones. The wait did take a bit long on a Saturday night as we waited almost 40 mins for a group of 5 but totally worth. Definitely heading back there again as it's just great vibes.

Late night drinking in downtown Fullerton with good vibes and good bites. The Ice Cold Beer is a must! You gotta mix it with some Saero sugarless soju to create the ultimate drink to get buzzed. Because it's so cold and icy, the alcohol goes down very smoothly and easy. Especially during a hot summer night, it tastes very refreshing. My friends came early on Saturday to get a table because it can get very busy and packed. Sometimes lines can be about a 2 hour wait. We ordered lots of Saero Apricot flavored Soju, some Fresh Soju, and a Pineapple Sherbet. We also ordered a fried and chicken wings to sober up on. The food was mediocre, nothing special or crazy good. Between INS and Yeokjeon, I think INS is a better option. Both are quite similar establishments known for Korean Ice Beers, but INS has a better food menu and a lively crowd. I really enjoy the outside seating that Yeokjeon provides though. Overall, if you haven't been yet, definitely worth the try.

Went on a Friday evening around 6:30pm. The wait was only 15min ish. Not bad. Beer was good but food was just ok. Def just more bar food. Don't really recommend coming for dinner. Just after for drinks and small bites. Service was fast. They came right away if we called. When we went, it was CRAZY loud tho inside. We were yelling trying to talk to each other.

Deep fried shrimp heads

Finally checked this place out and I can see the hype. The ice beer is super refreshing after a long day at work or on a hot day. The deep fried shrimp heads and chicken skin mandu are a must. They were easily my favorite dishes and make the perfect drinking food. My only complaint is that the beer is limited to Cass, so there's no option to choose a different beer. Other than that, it's a fun spot to grab drinks and snacks with friends.

Saturday at 6pm, we had a 15 minute wait. By the time we finished, there were way more people in line. The ice beer is pretty much your only beer option, but it's their specialty. The food is good but not great. The menu is also pretty small so you don't get a lot of choices. The fish crackers, black bean noodles, and corn cheese were good. We were disappointed the only soy garlic wings were boneless and the other flavors had bone in. Definitely skip the calamari cuz it was near impossible to chew. I probably won't come back unless they do a menu overhaul.

Came here to watch world cup games and I had so much fun! Food: 4/5 The food selection consists mostly of finger foods that pair with drinks. I had ordered chicken wings with fries and corn cheese. I was pretty satisfied with the flavor, the only downside is the price. I would say for the portion and quality it's a bit more expensive than other spots. The beers are delicious, it's cold and crisp perfect for the summer. Oh they have free popcorn too! Service 5/5 No complaints about the servers, they were quick and attentive. It's pretty easy to get their attention since ordering is done through an iPad which every table has. Ambiance 5/5 I love the ambience of this place, really feels like i'm in korea again. There's decent amount of seats and space. Three big TVs to watch any games and outdoor seats are nice as well.

Pineapple sorbet. Absolutely refreshing!

This spot is another popular franchise from Korea that follows a similar concept as INS at The Source in Buena Park. ice-cold beer, affordable bar food, and ordering through a kiosk. If you're a fan of Korean-style pubs, you'll feel right at home. The first thing that stood out to me was the beer. It was light, crisp, and incredibly refreshing--exactly what you want on a hot day. Served ice cold, it paired perfectly with the food and made for a great way to cool off during this heat wave. The service was excellent. Even though the place was completely packed, our beers arrived within just a couple of minutes. The staff was friendly, efficient, and kept everything moving without missing a beat. The food is very reasonably priced. While the portions are a little smaller, I actually think that's part of the appeal since it lets you sample a variety of dishes. We ordered the chicken skewers, a few other appetizers, and finished with the pineapple sorbet. Everything was delicious, and the sorbet was the perfect refreshing dessert. It does get pretty lively inside, so expect a fun, energetic atmosphere. If you're looking for something a little quieter, the outdoor seating is a great option. Overall, this is the kind of neighborhood pub I'd happily come back to. Great beer, tasty food, fast service, and prices that make it easy to order a little bit of everything. If you're looking to beat the heat with an icy cold beer and some Korean pub food, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Let me tell you why I keep coming back here…read more It's not just the beer, although Bootleggers has plenty of that. It's the patio. There's something about the outdoor space here that makes Bootleggers feel like a little beer oasis tucked just far enough away from the hustle of downtown Fullerton. There are plenty of covered tables, lots of shade, and a large, permanently covered section with a giant TV showing sports and other important television events. When they have live music, it's usually the kind that actually improves the atmosphere rather than taking it over, you know, good musicians, good music, but still chill enough that you can have a conversation. And, of course, there's the beer. They have a really solid and diverse selection, with several IPAs, stouts, seltzers, and other options usually available, plus a selection of beers from other local breweries. It's hard to imagine coming here and not finding something you like. If you can't you're just an openly hostile person. Consider meditation. There's a food truck parked along the side that has basically become part of the Bootleggers landscape. And while outside food is no longer allowed, that's not really a hardship because the food is actually pretty damn good. The sandwiches, salads, and other offerings are all solid, but the fried pickles are the real reason I keep coming back. They're cut lengthwise, breaded just right, and fried until they're perfectly crunchy. Basically big, tart, crunchy submarines of fair food fun. I have a difficult time going to Bootleggers without ordering them. Every. Single. It's close enough to downtown Fullerton to walk to, but just far enough off the beaten path that the patio feels removed from the usual bar scene chaos. The street is nearby, but you barely notice it. It's just a nice place to sit outside, drink a good beer, listen to some music, watch a game, and hang out for a while. Sometimes you don't need another crowded bar with loud music and a $16 cocktail. Sometimes you just want a good beer, some shade, and a plate of ridiculously good fried pickles. Bootleggers does that really well.

We had a party of about 17 + in our adults only for happy hour reserved for 4:15 - 7 PM to celebrate the launch of our 2nd year together. We ordered a variety of apps and pizza flavors. For apps, the zucchini fries with ranch dressing were BOMB! Our group also enjoyed the lemon pepper and teriyaki wings, tossed just right, not too saucy. Let's talk about their pizzas and pies: deep dish pepperoni, vegetarian, margherita cheese, pepperoni (A+ curl on the pep), buffalo chicken, and the star finale, chicharrones topping - pizzas (ALL in Extra Large) and as the came in, the waitresses and water brought it out piping hot! The cheese pull was real and long, the sauce was even, and the dough wasn't too chewy or too thick, just right. The person on the phone reserving and taking my order before we even arrived, was super nice to me. When we got there, people can order the own items at the register. The servers are super friendly and their HH "refills" kept coming. The ambiance is SUPER CHILL and loud. However, you don't always want to feel like you're trying too hard to change your scenery, bumping you too far out of your comfort zone. The answer my friends, is the good old classic American dive bar. Now, many places like to call themselves a dive bar just because they never clean a single inch of their establishment and have seedy patrons that love to play the more than occasional 80's songs on the jukebox but don't be mistaken, a good dive bar is hard to find. Well, I happen to have found one and it's in Fullerton of all places. That's right, Fullerton, not Los Angeles, nor Hollywood nor some pop-culturally over-hyped city. What makes The Blue Door a good dive bar? First, there's earned consistency & routine. The drinks won't always be made well, or the bartender won't always be attentive but if you come a few times, you'll soon know at what time and day the drinks are made properly by knowing the schedules of the bartenders. Secondly, the drinks are stiff, the service is friendly and nobody bothers you unless you bother them. The atmosphere goes from lively and loud to quiet and solitary, again depending upon when you visit. Lastly, they're open from 6:00AM-2:00AM.
