There were only like 4 other parties in the restaurant and somehow our table was still getting ignored the entire night. Nobody checked up on us, nobody prebussed, nobody asked if we wanted more food, nothing. We were literally stacking dirty plates ourselves waiting for someone to notice. At AYCE KBBQ, the whole experience depends on the servers coming back consistently so you can order more food and keep the table clean. Instead we just sat there waiting forever until we eventually got full because nobody would come back to our table. And I'm just gonna be transparent because you can FEEL it when it happens. We were the only non-Korean table there and it genuinely felt like we were getting treated differently. The workers clearly saw us trying to get attention multiple times and would still walk past us. As someone who works in the industry myself, I know how these systems work and you can tell when staff just don't care about your table. The ending made it even worse. My friend paid the bill and his credit card was missing from the check presenter. We asked the host and instead of helping right away, he argued with us saying he already gave it back. Then we literally found the card ON THE FLOOR near the front. He picked it up and just went "oh it's right here" with no apology at all. When we asked the main server about the wine menu on our table, she responded with short, clipped answers "Not available" and later, "We don't do it. The promo is over." There was no explanation, no context, and she cut us off mid-sentence. We didn't understand what she was trying to say and didn't even know there was a promo. After that, she barely came back to our table. When she did stop by, she would respond with a rapid "Yesyesyesyes" while walking away, making us feel unwelcome and confused about why we were being treated this way. We ended up ordering through other staff, who were helpful and attentive, changing our grill without being asked and checking on us throughout the night. They were the only reason this review isn't one star. We didn't even order that much, just three rounds of a few items. No banchan refills or water. We weren't high-maintenance customers, yet her rude attitude made the experience completely unpleasant. Paying for your food and even a bottle of wine should come with basic courtesy. My hubby took me here to celebrate Valentine's Day because I asked for meat and we have no sitter so had to take our two little ones with us. I feel like for an establishment that is promoting themselves as a luxury modern Korean BBQ spot the little things like that matters. I know that I can easily ask for refills which I did once for the cucumbers but I wished that he would notice it on his own. I opted for the Diamond tier ($49.99) because I wanted to try the Premium LA Galbi and Marinated Short Rib. I also really enjoyed the Angus Beef Brisket and Beef Belly--not dry at all! It was my first time visiting this kbbq restaurant. When I arrived, there was a Yelp waitlist and it showed 10-15 minutes wait for a party of 2 with a few parties ahead of us. The yelp waitlist is accurate! We didn't need more options other than what was on the Gold AYCE Menu so we ordered that. The salad bar was unavailable so they gave us a menu to place orders from. We got all sides, steamed egg, kimchi stew, rice paper, garlic, jalapeños, ssamjang. There was also sauce already on the table as well. Our orders came out a little bit slower compared to other restaurants but it is fine. The only complaint I had was that the steamed egg was burnt when it came out. It was okay on the top middle but it was disgustingly burnt towards the edges and bottom. The egg soup (the water in the steamed egg) was also disgustingly burnt. I asked for a new one and they came out with a normal not burnt steamed egg! My fav meat was the wagyu beef and the pork belly. They also have options for cold noodle to which I ordered on and it was really good! I also ordered coffee and was a decently good coffee as well. The interior is higher end/luxury style but wasn't too dark at the same time which I enjoyed very much. Some luxury kbbq restaurants are simply too dark but this one wasn't. At the end, we had a choice between Melon Melona and Strawberry Melona. I got the melon one. I've never seen a kbbq restaurant serve Melona as the ice cream! I believe the price point is worth it for what they serve. I also think this restaurant is good for those who would like to eat other foods on top of the meat. Beautiful restaurant, inside is so nice, perfect for dates, I like that some tables were sectioned with privacy walls giving it that intimate feel...came with friends to try the AYCE special @ $29.99, soooooo delicioooouuusss... the meats were great quality, the bulgogi had a perfect amount of marinade... I loved the sides too from kimchi, cucumber kimchi, lettuce and a few more.... We weren't sure if the vents were turned on because smoke was every where.... Can't wait to come back.
