Excited to try this place only to have a very disappointing experience. While visiting the town my bf and I picked this restaurant to eat at. At first our server (male) seemed very attentive and told Us about the daily specials. My bf and I both decided to try them out. I ordered a tri tip sandwich and he a turkey burger. Another server (a blonde lady) dropped off our food without so much as a second glance. We were never approached ever again. The guy seemed to have gotten busy by a party that arrived but the lady was pretty engaged with another couple fully emerged in a friendly talk. She asked them about 3-4 times if they wanted dessert (they didn't) while we never even got a refill. And to add insult to injury there was a foil in the middle of the sandwich, which by the was was just a bun and meat. No sauce of any kind and no veggies. Unfortunately I never got the chance to bring it up to the staff. My bf had to get up to request our bill because we stay ignored the entire time. When visiting Solvang you don't want to miss this place. Right next to Copenhagen Drive is the gem of Solvang. Irish pub bar(no hard liquor). Christmas Eve We came for a nice cold beer and for the most amazing Ruben sandwich. Sam and his crew made us feel very comfortable the minute we walked in. I had hubby red the wife had a hoppy poppy as we waited for our meals. The wife went with the fish and chips and she was impressed. High quality and lots of love. I went for the Ruben sandwich which was honestly life changing. I can never look at another Ruben sandwich the same, and I'll probably just have one more from somewhere else to just remind myself how much I appreciate the Fitzpatrick's Ruben Sandwich. The corned beef will melt in your mouth. The sauerkraut is perfection on the rye bread. Do yourself a favor and stop by and treat yourself to the greatest Ruben Sandwich there is. The servers worked really hard, however, we felt neglected because we watch two tables get served way before us that sat down way after us, and looked like they pretty much ordered the same food. Delicious food and friendly service. This spot was recommended to us by the clerk at our hotel and we are so glad we gave it a try. We had fish and chips and also the chicken club. i dont usually review but if I could give 0 stars i would! This place ignored my party for at least 20 minutes, we were sitting at the bar and they did everything BUT acknowledge our presence. Great Tavern, with great service, drinks are goods they have good stuff on tap, and the food is excellent, had had the sliders, burger and pull pork was so good. The food here is excellent. It is as close to Irelend & the UK as I've tasted in Cali. We had the four cheese bacon fries which are made with fresh potatoes not frozen fries. The wings are amazing. Such an awesome lowkey place!!!! My boyfriend and I were in town for my birthday and had originally planned to take our dinner elsewhere but with the unplanned rain and the restaurant we were gonna go to being an open air one we switched targets and honestly so glad it rained! Now I wasn't that hungry so I was just going to have a salad and then I see four cheese fries. I really am not that hungry but I keep seeing four cheese fries on the menu. We were in Solvang for Summer Theaterfest and terribly hungry with 2 teenage boys to feed. As most know Solvang kind of shuts down in between lunch and dinner (very few places to choose from.) My family happened upon Fitzpatrick's after searching for quite some time and the level of crazy had gone from hungry to hangry... lol The server was awesome! He gave genuine recommendations and was quick to bring the drinks and food out. Those in the group that ordered the traditional Irish Pub fare were not to be disappointed! The Corned Beef and Cabbage was beautiful and delicious. The Shepard's Pie looked amazing and I was reassured that it tasted equally as good. Things like the fish and chips and burgers even looked delish! They were quick to refill the Guinness and keep the beer flowing however my sons went forever without refills on their drinks. At one point they took his cup to "refill it" and never brought it back. He just sat there waiting... Overall the experience was amazing and I would gladly come back! As we where walking around town we passed by the restaurant and a couple sitting in the benches by the front told us how delicious the food was. Later that evening we ended up going. We both got drinks. A mule for me which was delicious and my aunt got wine. After drinks we ordered food and I got the Mac and cheese. Was delicious and had a great bread crumb top. Came here with my wife this past weekend on our little vacation to Solvang and I have to say that Fitzpatrick's is one of the best Irish pubs I've ever been to. We ordered the wings and a couple beers before we moved on to the Dublin burger and the Cobb salad. The Dubliner was hands down one of the most amazing burgers I've had in a while. Garlic aioli, lettuce, tomatoes, and a perfectly cooked medium rare patty full of flavor made this burger the absolute best. The pub itself gives you that relaxed and chill pub vibe without the usual stink lol. The atmosphere could be good if the staff were even remotely happy to have the business. I had the salmon burger and was very good.
