    Seasonal drink: Peppermint bark martini
    Marci K.

This cozy lounge is just off the lobby of The Vinland hotel. They offer a nice cocktail menu with a selection of small plates. We tried the Danish meatballs and the deviled eggs, and can see why they are considered favorites. A huge shout out to Rick, the bartender- he is a true mixologist and also a pleasant conversationalist. He was also offering seasonal cocktails separate from the menu offerings and I went with the peppermint bark martini- so delicious, it's a holiday dessert in a glass. Fortunately, we are guests at the hotel, making it easy to return, because this place is truly a gem.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This a lounge area in the Vinland hotel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were staying there and ordered at the lounge. No complaints. You can tell they work hard here :) some inconsistencies on their DoorDash v. their online menu. But they gave up the chicken tenders no problem! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are open late too which is nice because things in solvang close pretty early.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We were staying at the Vinland Hotel while in Solvang and the V Lounge is across the lobby. It was a Thursday night. After reviewing the menu and seeing that there was live music, we decided to drop in for dinner and entertainment. Our server was very friendly. The deviled eggs were delicious. We enjoyed the salmon lox in addition. We also had the spinach salad (the walnuts were outdated). We places the walnuts aside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was a nice addition to the evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We enjoyed this place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great lounge with moody vibes and amazing drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Loved the blueberry mojito (10/10!) and the jalapeño paloma, both were super flavorful. The bartender was friendly and gave us a great recommendation. Bonus: happy hour from 4-6pm makes it even better. Definitely worth a visit :-)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We stayed in the hotel and the V Lounge was by far THE best part of the entire experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would stay here again just for the V Lounge. Rick's drinks are the bomb. Tested the Danish meatballs and they were excellent. Almost but not quite as good as mom's Swedish meatball recipe. Theirs are hand made in house too! Hubby recommends ordering double gravy!!! Rick's service ROCKS!

Absolutely amazing! Rick does a fabulous job making Seasonal cocktails! Thank you Rick for treating us like family!

We had the most delicious shared plate meal here, along with a nice bottle of Laetitia pinot noir. We couldn't get into other full dining restaurants in the Solvang area so we decided to check out V lounge, the bar/lounge inside of our hotel (Vinland). It was very low key and quiet when we were there, versus everywhere else that was booked up and crowded. The decor is modern and comfortable. All of the plates that we shared were absolutely delicious: deviled eggs topped with bacon, smoked salmon flatbread, spinach salad with feta and walnuts in a light dressing, and Brussel sprouts. The Brussel sprouts were sweet with salty bacon bits, a nice change from a tangy balsamic vinegar version. I definitely recommend V Lounge!

We noticed the lounge as we were checking into the hotel. We decided to go explore the town and come back later. When we arrived to the lounge, I was very impressed with the decor and all of the seating areas. My husband and I sat at the bar and were greeted by Jacob. He told us about the offerings on the menu and different drink options. My husband opted for an old-fashioned and I ordered a martini. Both drinks were fabulous. Jacob is a great bartender and conversationalist, which is super hard to find these days. It really seems like he cares about customer service and representing his employer in a positive way! We will definitely be back here when we visit Solvang! Thank you Jacob!

    The smoked plum was phenomenal!

Rick, the bartender is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! He went above and beyond with the drinks we ordered. We are traveling and found this hidden gem on Yelp. IT'S A MUST! We loved the Danish meatballs as well & will definitely be coming back! OPEN TO THE PUBLIC TOO! It is located inside the VINLAND HOTEL. Check it out & ask for Rick!

I ordered the Mango Michelada, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Our waiter was also fantastic, very attentive, friendly, and kept checking in on us throughout the night. After walking in and passing the host stand, a server who was seated at the bar got up, walked us to a table, and suggested we sit on the loveseat. The host was friendly and welcoming, and the space itself seemed promising. We were excited to settle in, have a drink, and check the place out. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, but shortly after we were seated, a larger group came in. From that point on, it felt like we were completely forgotten. The server focused on the larger party, taking drink orders and delivering beverages as more guests from their group arrived. Meanwhile, we sat waiting without any acknowledgment. Another group of ladies was seated nearby and appeared just as confused about who was helping them. We both work in the restaurant industry, so we understand that larger parties can demand attention and that things don't always go perfectly. We tried to be patient and give the team the benefit of the doubt. However, after waiting more than 15 minutes without anyone checking on us, taking a drink order, or even acknowledging our table, we decided to leave. What made the experience especially frustrating was that the restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived. We never felt welcomed beyond being shown to our table, and ultimately it felt like our business wasn't valued. Hopefully this was just an off night, because the atmosphere and concept seemed like something we would have enjoyed. We'd be willing to give it another chance, but first impressions matter, and unfortunately this one missed the mark. Sadly, it looks like we definitely missed out on the famous Bowl for Two.

It is, in our opinion, the best restaurant in Solvang. Every meal was exceptional, and the service was consistently outstanding. From the moment we walked in, Daniel welcomed us with a warm smile that made us feel right at home. At our first breakfast, Taylor provided friendly, attentive service that set the tone for the rest of our visits. That evening, we enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer, beet & burrata salad, short rib grilled cheese and black tie burger. Every dish was absolutely delicious. On our second breakfast visit, Sandra took wonderful care of us. She is such an asset to Craft House--knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely welcoming. Sophia, who brought out our food several times, always greeted us with the biggest smile. You can tell she truly loves what she does. Lorenzo and Nora were also fantastic servers who helped make every visit memorable. Over four visits, we sampled several different entrées and breakfasts. The avocado toast and chorizo quesadilla were definite standouts, and every meal exceeded our expectations. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Craft House team for your incredible hospitality, exceptional service, and outstanding food. We can't wait to return!

Crust was done beautifully, spice was apparent, but played a small role in comparison to the butter and perfect sweetness of the cornbread. I've had cornbread from the South; I think this is the best cornbread I've ever had. Whoever makes the cornbread should be praised heavily and possibly have a statue built for them. Meat was cooked very well. Brisket and Chicken were exceptionally good and should be the main priority due to their tenderness and flavor. However, the ribs were okay at best, a little chewy not really what you would expect from a place like this. Pulled pork was automatically covered in Carolina Gold which was a little questionable, but the texture and the quality of the meat were very good. Sides were exceptionally good as well. The mac and cheese, fries, potatoes, and slaw were pretty freakin sweet I'd say. They compliment the entrées pretty well. Please provide more options of sauce OR do not put the carolina gold on the pulled pork. Service was alright at most, nothing really special. The busser's checked up on us more than the actual servers. If you need accommodations they're happy to provide and do so in an efficient manner. It seemed like the service was mainly reactive rather than proactive. Cornbread alone gives this place five sha-bangs outta five. we are coming back to grab cornbread, if you're trying anything in Solvang surprisingly this would be a good place to go.

Kelly seemed more focused on catering to a small group of guys in cowboy hats than maintaining the vibe that actually makes this spot stand out. Instead of reading the room, she and her May 1st bartender colleague locked into a single stream of country music that clearly wasn't resonating with most of the crowd. That's really the frustrating part, it wasn't just a music choice, it was the complete lack of awareness or willingness to adjust. People weren't being heard, requests were ignored, and the whole "records" concept felt pointless when it was treated so rigidly. If you're going to lean into vinyl as part of the experience, it should feel curated, responsive, and a little bit special, not like someone just putting on their personal playlist and tuning everyone else out. The drinks were genuinely great, which makes the situation even more disappointing. The potential is clearly there, but the execution on the atmosphere just didn't match. If the records are going to stay, they should actually be used to enhance the environment, not limit it. Otherwise, it might be better to ditch the gimmick entirely rather than let it drag down what could be an otherwise standout spot.

I was surprised that the bar at a Michelin-starred restaurant didn't have a blender, as it seemed to limit the cocktail options available to guests. My husband's friend asked for a lemon martini and then inquired about a lemon daiquiri. The response from the bartender, Monica, made the request seem unusual or overly complicated, which made the interaction feel less welcoming than expected. I'm sorry but Monica could sure use some tips on customer service and professionalism. I watched this interaction from where I was sitting nearby and it was cringy. If certain cocktails can't be prepared because of equipment or menu limitations, that's completely understandable. However, it would be helpful if those limitations were communicated in a more guest-friendly way and accompanied by alternative recommendations. At a restaurant of this caliber, I'd expect the bar experience to reflect the same level of hospitality as the dining room. Once we were seated, the dining room staff was attentive, welcoming, and accommodating, and the rest of our evening was enjoyable.
