This is one of the most recommended places if you ask the locals in the town, and that's always a good sign. It's on the corner of Copenhagen Street, and outdoor seating had a nice cozy vibe with heaters in the patio setting. We chose to sit inside as it was a little chilly in the evening. The staff was super helpful and very patient, as we struggled to finalize an order. They even changed my order after I put it in. The ribs were great, and their homemade bbq sauce hits the spot. We ordered the seasoned fries and Mac n cheese as sides, and they were amazing too. The fries did have a spicy kick to it, and Mac n cheese were fresh and creamy. The only nitpicking I'd do with the ribs is they were slightly dryer on the outside, but no complaints other than that.

Stopped in with my wife and family just after their opening on Tuesday. Believe we might have been first in the door. Though my wife and I have visited Solvang many times in the past, this place was not around. We were all very happy with our visit! We opened with cocktails, mine was the Maple Bacon Old Fashioned. That cocktail was delicious! No started were wanted by the majority put I would have liked to try their fried pickles. Our brother in law ordered the Brisket, while his wife and I both ordered the Cobb Salad, and my wife a side of Macaroni & Cheese. Our dishes came relatively quickly. I must say the Cobb Salads were HUGE! Not only huge but delicious as well! The Brisket was amazing according to our brother in law and my wife enjoyed the Mac &Cheese. We all look forward to coming back again!

First stop in Solvang and most memorable place of my trip! The ribs were delicious! No reservation, wait was about 15-20 minutes on Thursday 7pm which is pretty good. Note, went during restaurant week. Restaurant week option ($30) for 3 course meal, and additional $20 for drinks flight. Ordered half-rack of baby back ribs and smoked brisket with garlic smashed potato and seasoned fries. The restaurant has a great indoor and outdoor flow. Awesome customer service too! Salad plates were awesome size and tasted delicious. The baby back ribs were delicious, the flavor was awesome. Half a ribs were about 9 pieces, the meat was tender and easy to eat. Seasoned fries were basic, so go for the garlic smashed potato. The drink called puncher's mule was tasty, tasted sweet like apple pie. The smokehouse contains delicious bbq, great portions, and awesome staff service. Definitely will come back for the brisket or ribs.

Great spot if you're in the Solvang area. Can't believe I've missed it before. Happened to be Restaurant Week so I was able to get the special for $30 that included a Farm Salad, half rack of baby back ribs and a side, plus a chocolate smoked S'mores Mousse. All yummy! Bartender / server was attentive, as were several other staff who helped and ran the food. I was a solo diner so I sat at the bar, but inside was pretty busy for a random Tuesday night. Cute property. Happy hour ended at 530 which I just barely missed. I wlll make sure to come back next time I'm in town!

Absolutely loved our server but the food was just okay. We were recommended this place by a local. As someone who also worked in the service industry, I loved our waitress. She had great suggestions; super knowledgeable about the drink and food menu. As for the ribs and brisket, we were rather disappointed. The ribs and brisket were a little dry. Ribs tasted better day two as leftovers.

We showed up a part of a latge group and ended up at another table. We had amazing food and good service. The BBQ chicken was delicious and photo-worthy. Maple bacon oldfashions wew thick, sweet, and worth the reviews they have received. The spaghetti squash ramen was just what our vegan wanted. And the burger disappeared quickly!

Came here on MLK and made reservations on Open Table but since we were there at opening -- we were good. They have a nice patio as well as indoor seating. Very good service and they didn't mind our small dog -- very accommodating. We both split the brisket sandwich which was good. Though I thought it would have been more like slices then pulled but still good. They gratefully split it for us and we also had a side ceasar salad and a beer. Great little spot in Solvang if you are wanting bbq. Wish I could have tasted more. Great spot to come and get some lunch or dinner and they do do brunch on weekend so come hungry!

First, they don't take reservations on the weekend. What? Upon arrival, the hostess greeted us warmly. She informed us that the wait was about 20-minutes. There were a couple of seats open at the bar so we opted to grab them. Turns out the menu at the bar is the same as dining seating. Given how attentive the bartender was, we should have just stayed at the bar. Once seated, Michelle took great care of us. She answered all of our questions with a smile. We went with the spaghetti squash and filet. Both were fantastic! The smashed potatoes side was a garlic lovers delight. It's nice when the menu says "prime" describing the beef and it actually is prime quality. Great all around experience! Cheers!

This place is so cute and amazing! It's nestled in the hills of solvang with so much charm. The food is great and not overly salty like most bbq spots. The bar was well stocked and the honey butter is soooo good. The staff, Maddie and Brandi, were kind and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. We had a slightly picky neighbor next to us and the ladies were kind and pulled out all the stops. I highly recommend this place. It's got it all!

We came in mid afternoon and were seated immediately which was great. The young waiter was unable to answer questions about the drinks, seeming bothered by questions, and finally said "they just all come pre-made". So that made us wonder about everything else. Food was pretty good overall. Burnt ends, while fabulous, were just pieces of meat cut and cooked, not "burnt" by any means. Salad had Ceasar dressing with minimal flavor. My husband loved the wings although they weren't crispy. And of course our daughter loved the Mac and Cheese. Clean and cute place but no need to return. Server never asked if everything was OK and never offered for us to get anything else. Pretty sure she didn't want to be there.

We were fortunate enough to walk in and get a table despite not having a reservations with no wait but had to sit a the short counter at the bar. We lucked out after grabbing our seats with an open spot at the high bar before we even had a chance to order a drink. There were lots of tables filled with very happy patrons so we were glad to find a quick and easy spot to grab dinner for the night. Both of our bartenders were wonderfully friendly and very attentive. They answered all our questions and made great suggestions. We peeked around at other tables to see what was most popular and we saw everything on the menu around us. Everyone seemed very happy with their food and lots of empty plates going back to the kitchen so we were very confident we'd be happy with our meals. We got the brisket w elote corn quarters and seasoned fries and the brisket chili and it was all very delicious. The portions were generously sized but not overly so which was perfect for us. Our meals came out so quickly and everything was just perfect. We walked there from our room so I don't remember seeing if there was any parking. I do know that there are tons of parking areas and street parking. I don't expect that parking would be an issue for anyone wanting to come in. We would definitely recommend stopping in for a drink and bite to eat as everyone was welcoming and friendly from start to finish. We look forward to returning the next time we're in Solvang! We're confident you'll be very happy if you decide to go check them out! Enjoy!

(+) Host was very accommodating at the time for my large party of 12, even though we didn't have a lunch reservation. Chat GPT led us here honestly as we were planning the afternoon visit to Solvang. This is a popular place so plan on waiting or making a reservation. (+) Non alcoholic drinks were nice, forgot the name of the lemonade. Trying to cut back so nice to have a mocktail option. (+) Cast iron jalapeño cornbread and fried pickles were the favorite appetizers of the group. (+) Was craving brisket but didn't want a heavy plate so I went for the smoked brisket sandwich which was kinda small but good. (+) We were lucky with the nice weather and outdoor patio seating to people watch and enjoy the fresh air.

The food here was pretty good. I really like the brisket. Also thought they had exceptional chicken wings especially the lemon pepper one. The flavor really penetrated into the breading The service was good too but I think it was jsut one person working the whole patio area. I like the ambiance it had lots of Christmas decorations for the holidays

The hubby got the spiced rum old fashioned, which had an ice cube with a lion's face etched onto it--a nice touch. When we arrived, the ambiance was lovely, we were seated outside, and with the perfect weather, it made for a really nice setting to celebrate. Because of our group size, we were on a prix fixe menu. While I understand the need for that with larger parties, it did limit the experience a bit since we couldn't choose individual dishes. We chose the high priced option with more food. The food itself was decent, but nothing particularly stood out. Many of the courses felt more like appetizers, so it didn't quite feel like a full, well-paced meal. Service was a bit inconsistent. We had Harlow, who seemed a little disengaged at first, though she did warm up after some light conversation. That said, we didn't see much of her afterward and were expecting a bit more attentiveness given the size of our group. She actually had no idea we were celebrating a birthday until about check out. Which is odd because of our advanced reservation. Once she did know she brought out a small birthday dessert. Water refills weren't offered regularly, and we had to flag someone down for additional drinks. There also wasn't much explanation of the dishes as they were brought out, so we found ourselves guessing what each item was based on the paper menu left at our tables. One point of confusion was the billing process. We were asked to put a card on file ahead of time, with the understanding that it would be charged at the end of the meal and that gratuity would be included for a large party. However, neither happened, which left us a bit unsure about how to handle the final payment and tip. Overall, it was a decent experience, and we made the most of the evening thanks to the great company and atmosphere. That said, for the price point, I was hoping for a more seamless and attentive dining experience to match the setting.

We headed to the back to sit down before ordering drinks, just chatting and minding our business. A staff member came out to turn on the heaters, then immediately walked up to us and said he needed to check all of our IDs again. We let him know we had just been checked at the door, but he didn't respond at all--just completely ignored that and insisted. We handed over our IDs one by one, and the way he checked them was honestly uncomfortable. He was shining a black light super aggressively, flashing it in our faces even though we were literally just sitting there having a conversation. It felt unnecessary and almost like he was looking for a problem that wasn't there. What made it even worse was how careless he was with matching the IDs to the right people. He kept handing them back to the wrong person, even after staring at our photos. The most confusing part was when my female friend handed him her ID and, after checking it, he repeatedly tried to give it back to one of my male friends. That male friend pointed at her multiple times saying, "that's her ID," and the guy still tried to hand it back to him. If you're checking IDs that thoroughly, I'd expect you to at least be able to tell the difference between a man and a woman--especially when the photo is right there. Overall, the whole interaction felt intrusive, unnecessary, and honestly a bit disrespectful. Tons of locals recommended this place to us, so it was super disappointing to have an experience like this especially when celebrating a friend's birthday. I don't know the name of the staff member, nobody was wearing name tags. But he's an incredibly rude older man. Hi Dawn, it was the day I posted this review, December 8th maybe 9-10pm

Nothing fancy and not a fancy, romantic date night spot but a great pragmatic date night spot or solo date spot. Our server Christian was wonderful and very prompt and attentive. We ordered the 20 oz Ribeye and shared it among a heavy eater and a light eater. The meal comes with crunchy chilled pickles, a side and a salad and also, a basket of crackers (Ritz, saltines and breadsticks), a cup of salsa that's meant to be eaten with the steak but we started eating it as a dip with the crackers. Also came with their signature beans and also garlic bread. And also ice cream at the end. When the steak came...it has that perfect crust and sear from the Santa Maria style, where the steak is cooked over an open flame. There's just nothing like a flame grilled steak. We ordered it medium rare and upon the first bite, WOW!!! Super tender and juicy and tasted so fresh, also lightly seasoned already. Nipomo is kind of in the middle of nowhere but if you find yourself driving along the 1 Highway and going either south or north, plan and make a stop here. You won't be disappointed. And overall, great value for the money considering the price you pay for the steak comes with everything.

Then I was told I had to smoke outside on the back patio, which turned out to be a tiny little corner--maybe 6 by 10 feet--with uncomfortable chairs and a random wood bench. It took 15 minutes to even get the hookah (remember, no one else was there), and when it arrived, it was totally burnt. Overpacked, harsh hits, and I ended up having to scrape it and fix it myself just to get it to smoke right. Wanna know the kicker? You only get three coals. That's it. No refills unless you pay for more. No one checked on us for almost an hour, and when I finally asked for more coals, they said (in broken English and mostly Spanish) that that's all you get unless you pay extra. I've smoked hookah all over the place--three coals is nothing, especially when you're charging $35+. No one came around, no vibe, no music, no nothing. Just me, my burnt hookah, and a beer that wasn't even cold. I really tried to find something redeeming about this place, but nothing hit. The service wasn't there, the product wasn't good, and it honestly felt like I was bothering them just by being there. Bottom line: for $50, you can do way better just about anywhere else--or even at home. Hope they turn it around, but for now, I wouldn't recommend it.
