Wanted to try this Mexican restaurant due to the people and the Yelp reviews saying the food was delicious. I ordered the street taco combo with rice and beans. Everything was freshly made, hot and the tacos were tasty. The rice and beans were good also. They had the authentic ingredients for all their signature menu items. A lot of good items were made from scratch. Service was good and the mood was an old-school Mexican-style restaurant vibe.

I honestly didn't know this Mexican restaurant existed until my cousin brought me here. It's tucked away and kind of hidden amongst all the bakeries, but just look up for the hanging sign next to Mad Hatter. It's easy to get distracted walking in a touristy area, so you'll miss it if not paying attention! The restaurant itself is small, but there's indoor seating and a few tables outside. Luckily on our visit the restaurant wasn't too busy. I decided to order chicken enchiladas. The prices here are very reasonable for what you get. The enchiladas were delicious! My son ordered the cheese pupusas, which I was able to try and they were perfect. I would definitely order those myself. My cousins enjoyed their meals as well. Our food was prepared and served in a timely manner. I was surprised how fast we were served, yet the food was satisfactory. Overall, a great little spot to satisfy your Mexican food needs. Especially if you're wanting a comfort meal after all the pastries you've eaten ha!

The crew,,, taking good care of you!!! keep up the good work

What a wonderful hidden gem. It's been a couple years since I been in town and I just remembered how delicious the nachos were the last visit. Glad I was able to stop in tonight. The nachos were fabulous. The Carnitas excellent. Their salsa Verde is out of this world. the Carne Asada tacos were equally amazing. Keep up the good work.

The city was having their Christmas parade this weekend. We were starving and there were so many people everywhere we ended up Don Nachos Café , which was good idea because the we enjoyed our burritos all the little small for the price . They were very good. They have nice and spicy sauce that you can ask for which is orange in color, so if you want something a little spicier. we enjoyed our meal. It's a small little place away.

This place definitely exceeded our expectations. The place and the menu are small, but it has big flavor and great quality food. The staff here was very friendly accommodating, and the habanero salsa here is to die for.

Service & ambience is traditional...the food portions are not! The burritos are tiny, i get Trumps tariffs are a roadblock but if your charging $12 a burrito I expect a lot more. They didn't even bother giving us sour cream. Comes to show you can't always trust reviews.

Always meant to try Don Nachos and finally got to this trip. Great place for takeout. I always judge based on the chips and these were incredibly fresh and had an amazing salt ratio. Guac tasted fresh. Would have loved if the tacos were available a la carte since I never really eat the rice and beans on the platter, but the al pastor and asada street tacos tasted great with the green salsa. Cashier was very friendly and takeout was packed very well. Actual restaurant is pretty small, but I would come for takeout again!

We stopped her for a quick lunch. The restaurant is tucked away from the main walkway. The food was decent and the portions were on the smaller side. I went back to order a side of tortilla chips for my daughter but I got charged to chips and salsa. No biggie.

    What is advertised.

Idk if i was here on a bad night but instead of me explaining how the food was not good, overpriced, and took forever ill just let the pictures speak.

My teenagers loved it! Carne asada torta! With guacamole, lettuce, beans, and jalapeños.?

There's a cute sticker machine at the wait area, for a dollar you can get a random sticker in either the peasants farm/feast brand, or what I think are local brands and artists? We chose the local brands and the slight disappointment when a sole Enegren sticker was revealed, washed over us (none of us drink). But I enjoy it being there. Despite the chill there's plenty of heaters around that make the meal plenty enjoyable. The food is around $20-30 per person if you're being stingy like us and not ordering extras like drinks or starters. And the menu rotates daily I think, everything that was recommended to me by friends wasn't on the menu. But I felt pretty full with just half the fig grilled cheese for a meal and snaking on the rest later in the day. It was the perfect blend of savory sweet, like a cheesy geode with a rock exterior of Parmesan crispy bits flaking off and rich bread but inside was gooey soft cheese that was elevated with a satisfyingly sweet fig jam. The dipping sauce the potatoes were given is kind of boring, it looked colorful but felt like just a spicy mayo. The soup was a zappy blend of carrot, ginger, and turmeric? It felt like one of those health shots subdued down smooth with cream. Our server offered bread with it and we did assume it would be $5+ but it isn't listed in the menu to my knowledge. The hot chicken was really good though, there's a multifaceted layer where you can taste the sweetness of the bread, the kick of the pickles, the crunch of the breading, and finally the succulent chicken. It's quite good! Patio is dog friendly, we were seated next to a very polite, and very excited dog. So far my favorite place to eat in Solvang!

I kept coming across peasants FEAST and knew my family and I had to add it to our list. They were Michelin recognized in 2024! We decided to check them out for lunch on a Saturday, we showed up right when they opened and got a nice seat outside on their patio. The restaurant slowly started filling up more and more after we got there so glad we arrived when we did! They do not take reservations so it is first come, first served. We ordered the Kids Orecchiette with Butter, Lil McFeast Burger and the Solvang Hot Chicken. We got some drinks on the side as well including the Fresh Squeezed Lemonade which my daughter was obsessed with. I really enjoyed the food - it was fresh and well seasoned throughout. I asked for less spice on my Hot Chicken, but it was still spicy and tasty! Overall, it was a good meal, not my favorite of the trip, but still worth checking out for sure! Service was also spot on and she gave great recommendations! We would definitely give them another shot next time we're in Solvang! I really want to check out the Pastrami Smoked Salmon Sandwich and the Nannie's Frozen Lime Pie next time! Check them out!

Our party of 4 was seated and waited about 20-30 minutes without a waiter in sight. Meanwhile, a table seated after us had already placed their order and received drinks. I eventually had to flag someone down, and they mentioned they would get our waiter. They later returned and took our order themselves, saying our waiter, Christian, would be with us shortly. To Christian's credit, he did apologize when he arrived, but throughout dinner the service continued to fall short. He would stop by asking if everything was okay while our cups sat empty, then walk away without offering refills. We had to specifically ask for water and drink refills. At the end of the meal, we also weren't asked about dessert or whether we needed anything else. We had to ask for the check and he pulled out of his vest. That said, the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. The outdoor seating is beautiful, especially the built-in fireplaces at the tables, which we really enjoyed. The live music also added a nice touch to the evening. Food-wise, the appetizers were the highlight. The ceviche and flautas were excellent. I ordered the Black Tie Burger, which was just okay, but the fries were delicious.
