Thin crust pizza lovers, go here! Pizza is very thin and crispy. The Italian dishes are also excellent. My husband loves the lasagna. The outdoor courtyard is beautiful with a big fountain. Our server was Kat and she is amazing. It might have been the best service I have experienced. She helped us choose a salad, was very attentive and anticipated all of our dining needs. She even brought us a to go box with wax paper to divide the pizza slices. This is my favorite place to eat in Solvang. Highly recommend! read more

I was a little disappointed with this Italian restaurant. The pizza was dry and didn't have enough cheese or toppings. Service was ok but the hostess kept talking down to the bus boy. Beautiful patio and quiet location off the main strip. read more

Simplistically stunning outdoor dining patio that is just beyond charming ! We LOVED it! Despite it being busy & they were understaffed, to say the least, we were still seated straight away, our order taking in a timely fashion, etc... Service was upbeat & so positive even though he was all alone to meet all the needs of every client on his own. A job super well done! Our food was delicious & was not too outrageously priced either! read more

Before attending a PCPA Theaterfest play last night on a very warm evening in Solvang, we enjoyed dinner outdoors in Toscana Italian Restaurant's courtyard patio away from the hustle & bustle of Solvang's summer foot & vehicle traffic (it is tucked away from traffic noise & surrounded by other shops in two story buildings.) We were greeted warmly & seated by our waitress. After being served water, we ordered the green salad with watermelon, burrata cheese, dressing & balsamic glaze to share. It was a generous serving and tasted so light & fresh. I enjoyed the delicious lasagna while my friend raved about her short rib ravioli. When we arrived, several tables were occupied but when we left at 7:15 pm, the patio was full. Although our waitress was the only one serving due to a staff shortage, she remained friendly yet efficient while providing us with a relaxing dining experience. I look forward to returning with my husband & enjoying another delicious meal on Toscana's patio. read more

Was not overly impressed. My friend and I went there for dinner because it came highly recommended. The service was not warm and friendly. It took forever to be waited on, and there weren't many customers. The food was alright, the best part of the meal was the bread. That was amazing. There were bugs flying around our table and we were inside. Was very disappointed!!! read more

Sorry, no pictures. Too busy enjoying the meal. Tucked away in a little courtyard away from the hustle bustle of tourist-infested Solvang, this place serves excellent pasta in a friendly manner. We sat on the patio and were relaxed by the tinkling of a delightful fountain. The Watermelon & Burrata salad was refreshing. The Mojito was pleasantly tart, not at all too sweet. My Penne alla Rosa was smooth and mildly seasoned. The pasta was toothsome. The short rib ravioli could have been a touch more protein forward, but the pasta and sauce were splendid. A local I happened to chat with in our hotel lobby raved about "the best Italian restaurant in town" - and she may have been correct. read more

Very charming setting. The caprese salad was amazing. Most importantly, Itzel, provided fantastic customer service. She was the only server this evening with a lot of customers and handled it with a smile and grace. read more

Excellent server but our food was a disappointment. We loved the fresh warm focaccia! Highly recommend ordering as a starter! I would suggest sticking with pizza and avoid the pasta dishes. Pizzas looked great, however, we had great pizzas for lunch! We ordered two pasta dishes. I had the scallops with risotto, a special, and my husband had the braised beef ravioli. My scallops were okay, better if they were pan seared. The risotto was a bright yellow color, I expected a saffron flavor based on the color. The taste was completely off and I couldn't figure out what the taste was supposed to be, a bit sweet but whatever it was meant to be definitely did not compliment the scallops and wasn't edible. Sad as the risotto had a nice texture and cooked right, just have no idea what the base was, usually broth based. This was a special only on the board and was not explained by the server nor any menu description on the board. I love risotto (and make it frequently) hence why the disaapointment. My husband's ravioli were just okay. He thought the quality seemed more like frozen vs housemade. For $30 there was only four ravioli on the plate. Value and quality missing. Not sure why there are so many great reviews, and why I selected this restaurant for dinner. Not sure if was an off night? read more

Popped in for a pickup this past weekend, and dang, really wished we could have eaten here! Toscana is adorable and tucked into a lovely little plaza. It has the most romantic courtyard for outdoor seating complete with fairy lights and a fountain. The pizzas were delicious! Thin chewy crust with a crispy edge, generous toppings, and delicious flavors. We had the Genovese and the Quattro Stagioni. Highly recommend! Kat took my order over the phone and went out of her way to help accommodate my family's dietary restrictions by suggesting dishes and alternatives they could whip up. She called when all the food was ready and made sure we had the utensils and plates we needed. She even took care to pack the Bruschetta separately so 1) it wouldn't get soggy and 2) the cold tomatoes would not get warm from contact with the hot food. I really appreciated her kindness and fantastic service. Definitely check out Toscana if you're in town and craving Italian food! read more

We walked in late in the afternoon and were really happy to finally sit down and get some food. The pizza was pretty good. However, the pasta was extremely salty. We originally wanted to order steak, but they had run out, so the waitress recommended the pork chop instead. Omg the pork chop tasted very strange -- almost like it had gone bad. The first few bites seemed normal, but then the rest had a really concerning taste. read more

I came to Toscana during Valentine's Day weekend with my boyfriend on a Sunday during our trip to solvang. The ambiance is incredible, it's in a cute courtyard and walking distance from our hotel in downtown (the Winston). I got the lasagna and my bf got the ravioli. We got seated by the bar as we walked in without reservations and they accommodated us in a very timely manner. The lasagna had a bit too much red sauce for me personally but it was good. The ravioli was better. The tiramisu was average. They ran out of bread as well. Overall, a nice experience with average Italian food. read more

Avoid coming here while visiting Solvang. A local recommended this restaurant to us, but unfortunately the customer service was extremely disappointing. The waiters were rude and refused to let us speak with a manager. We went on Valentine's weekend Sunday night, and the restaurant was only about 50% full. Despite that, we were seated right by the entrance while it was 55 degrees outside and we had our toddler with us. When we politely asked for a different table, a young guy with bleached blonde hair told us, "That's all we have." When we asked to speak to a manager, Jessica came over and immediately asked, "What's the matter?" in a very dismissive tone. She claimed they were fully reserved, which didn't make sense given how empty the restaurant looked, and still refused to accommodate us. This was one of the rudest service experiences I've ever had. I would not recommend coming here. read more

We've been here several times and we absolutely love it. It's one of our favorite spots when we're staying in Solvang for a couple days. We usually kick off the order with either Insulate Caprese or the Carpaccio di Manzo, depending on our mood. We usually a share a few things, but we almost always order the Melanzane alla parmigiana (my absolute fav--so good!) and one of the pizzas. The melanzane all parmigiana is so light and delicious. The pizzas a great--perfect thin crust with a nice crunch and so much flavor. We usually have a hard time picking which one to share. We love to sit at the bar to socialize with the team and other folks around us while enjoying a glass of wine. Service is always very friendly and attentive. The owner is usually there too and he is fantastic. He's always a great host and we enjoy his conversation. We always look forward to coming here. If you're here with a larger group than two, I recommend sitting outside on a nice evening. The ambiance is perfect and great for an evening with friends or family. Definitely stop by if you're in the area! Cheers! read more

We had the lasagna, Quattro Stagioni pizza, and short rib ravioli--easily some of the best Italian food I've ever had... and I've been to Italy twice! The owner, Michele, is incredibly humble and talented. He has a way of making every guest feel genuinely welcomed, like part of the family. The ambiance is lively and fun, with a great mix of both younger and older crowds. An unforgettable dining experience from start to finish. P.S. Order the tiramisu, no matter how full you are!! read more

Service was great. Waiters and staff exceptionally nice. The food, however, was not good. The pasta with pesto was literally drowning in oil. You could have made three additional portions with the amount of sauce they added. That's not how you serve pesto. It's just supposed to lightly cover the pasta. This was a pesto soup I could have eaten with a spoon. read more

Had an amazing time with my family at Toscana! Itzel was a friendly and attentive waitress. She made us feel right at home. She has a great smile and kind mannerism. We loved her! There is much to choose from in the menu and portions are large and shareable. Quality and taste was great. Drinks and cocktails were superb, very satisfying. The restaurant was cozy and had comfortable seating inside and outside on a patio area. It was very Italy themed, absolutely inviting. read more

The atmosphere is impeccable, and the food was really amazing! My family and I enjoyed our time here.

Excellent food and service, and they have both outdoor garden seating and cozy indoor seating. This is our go-to in Solvang!

In town for the first time with a friend and her two dogs and we weren't sure where we could have dinner with the dogs so when we saw Toscana in the courtyard we walked over to inquire and so happy they were dog friendly! We decided to split the arugula salad which was huge and equal to the best I've had. It's one of my favourites so was happy with how good this is. We also split the trecolore pizza I believe it was called. Basically the margherita with added fresh tomato. Loved the crust but the sauce was a little bland but our server brought over some chili for us and some Parmesan and all was right with the world! We sat outside and it was a little cool so they had the heaters on and that made it comfortable. Every server there was friendly and helpful and good at their job. Would definitely go back if I visited town again! read more

Honestly one of the BEST places I've been to service was a 10/10, FOOD WAS AWESOME please ask for the Davey BEST SERVICE EVERRRR. We got the Margarita pizza which was a 10/10 and the grilled octopus salad which was amazing. It's like I was in Italy. read more

Well, it lived up to its rating. Help was friendly, "patio" was kind of seating in the parking lot (very mid), food was ok. Arugula salad had way too much lemon and pepper, it was hard to eat. Margherita pizza is delicious, but it was cheese pizza not margherita. Cacio e Pepe was drowning in oily cheesy sauce, was hard to eat much. Servers are nice, a little frantic and they made a big mistake on our bill. Fixed it quickly. If you go, recommend eating inside, sticking to pizza, and reviewing bill carefully. read more

The food, service, and ambiance was fantastic ! In fact, it was so good we ate there BOTH nights we were in Solvang! The first night we split the watermelon and arugula focaccia bread (outstanding and piping hot) and a margarita pizza, which was so big we had enough to take back to the hotel and hat it for a quick lunch. Tonight we split the arugula and lemon salad (the dressing was amazing) and the special ricotta ravioli- that was not as great as the other items but that is probably personal preference. Ended the meal with dark chocolate gelato-- honestly, it's like eating straight dark chocolate! Amazing! We'll be back on our next trip! read more

We didn't make reservations which seems to be a good idea around Solvang but luckily we didn't wait long before getting seated. Our a server was super nice, bubbly, & provided great recommendations. I had a very disappointing experience at Toscano. We were seated right by the entrance where cold air kept blowing in every time the door opened. It was extremely uncomfortable. We politely asked if we could move to another table, especially since the restaurant appeared mostly empty, but our request was denied without much explanation or effort to accommodate us. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told there wasn't one available. Shortly after, a staff member named Jessica approached us and spoke in a very rude and unprofessional manner. She raised her voice and made a scene, saying they had no other tables available except for reservations. The way the situation was handled made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. After that interaction, I honestly didn't feel at ease staying to enjoy the meal. Customer service makes a big difference, and unfortunately this experience fell far below expectations. Based on this visit, I probably won't be returning. read more
