Great spot. Chatted with the owner while tasting a flight of wine. He was super friendly. Wine tasted good. Olive oil tasting also available. Nice, relaxing interior. I'd definitely come back.

Theresa was generous and helpful. Engaged us in conversation and offered ample opportunities to try their olive oils and balsamic vinegar. When she offers you the chance to try the oils and vinegars for free, please take her up on it. The wines, oils, and vinegars are nothing short of delicious. Theresa provides little morsels of bread to taste the oils and vinegars and she lets you taste as many as you like. My bf and I did the sweet wine tasting flight. Highly recommend if you like Stella Rosa. We bought a bottle of Peach Supreme. This is a great location to pick up gifts. We want to go back before the holidays.

This place is AMAZING !! The owner, Jeff is a gentlemen and loves to create wines that make your mouth water. Also, I use the olive oils (Rosemary/Habanero/Basil), and Balsamic Vinegars to create interesting and tasty food. Jeff is fun and entertaining. Makes the whole trip worth while!!! Go and try a tasting/become a member is even better! Twenty Mile is where it's at!!

What a pleasure tasting the balsamic vinegar, excellent. The blackberry & olalaberry wine were fantastic for a sweet wine . Glad my husband & I stopped there . Oh yes the Sangiovese & Cab , Sangiovese blend was yummy . Will definitely be back . Pleasure meeting & talking with Jeff

If Yelp had 10 stars...all would be filled. Came to Solvang New Years day, just to window shop, stopped in here and was amazed at the selection they offer. We LOVE sweet wines and they had THEE BEST fruit wines, we shared a flight before having lunch. Then our host, Anthony, served us a sample platter of bread and six samples of olive oils...WHO KNEW THEY MADE BLOOD ORANGE OLIVE OIL???!!! I HIGHLY recommend a stop over, they actually do have other wines, others said were very good, I'll take word for it. Anthony was a complete GEM of a host and was VERY accommodating...he deserves a raise, just saying. We will definitely purchase from their winery in the near future...Thanks again!!!

This was our first time here and I am glad my boyfriend and I decided to stop here. As you walk in you will enter an eccentric home like place. You are greeted by the young man (forgot to get his name) we were the only ones there when we walked in. He was very friendly and explained the wine tastings. We decided to go to with the sweet wine tasting $20 ea. they have no appetizers (chocolate, charcuterie plates) but we were able to do a complimentary olive oil tasting which was amazing. The wines are pretty good if you're a sweet wine person and so were the different olive oils. We bought the pomegranate wine and a few bottles of olive oil. We will be back :)

20 stars for the home of the 20 mile winery!!! They give oil and bread tasting with wine tasting which was definitely worth it. My favorite is the triple berry and the super cali blend, both bottles we purchased meaning a free wine tasting! Yum!! Will be back

They offer a complimentary olive oil tasting, allowing you to truly appreciate the depth and character of each variety. The fresh bread served alongside the tasting is crafted from scratch in nearby Los Alamos at Bob's Well Bread Bakery, and it is delicious. A few of my personal favorites were the Santa Ynez, Garlic, and Habanero olive oils. The Garlic was so outstanding that I immediately purchased a bottle to take home. It is incredibly versatile. The setting itself is just as memorable as the tasting. There is ample charming outdoor seating beside a small creek, and the gentle sound of flowing water creates a peaceful, almost meditative atmosphere. The vibes are truly immaculate. Inside, the shop is beautifully styled and filled with thoughtfully selected gifts and, of course, an impressive array of olive oils available for purchase. Hayley (sorry if it's spelled wrong) was especially warm and helpful, making the visit feel welcoming. They also offer WiFi, which allowed us to linger a bit longer and get some work done. It is rare to find a place that combines quality, hospitality, and atmosphere so seamlessly.

I tried both, and then also sampled some savory options as that's what I was looking for. My favorite local oil was the savory garlic olive oil and for the imported option, the truffle oil was amazing. I did not like the sundried tomato olive oil and was surprised to read that canola oil and sunflower oil were ingredients. While tasting, my boyfriend and I noticed they offered ice cream topped with oils and vinegar. Intrigued, we ordered the chocolate ice cream with blood orange oil and chocolate balsamic. We hadn't really liked the blood orange oil with bread, but wow was it an amazing combo with ice cream! Overall, a great spot in Los Olivos that does not involve wine drinking and we appreciate that it was dog friendly.

Although nowadays spices are much more easier to come by (just drive down to your nearest supermarket!); many spices are still on the scarcer side and represent luxury. Have no fear, though, because you no longer have to board a ship and find the passage to the Middle East but can simply head to the Solvang Spice Merchant. Solvang Spice Merchant is a female-owned (shout out to girl bosses!) spice boutique located in the central hub of the famous Danish tourist city of Solvang near Santa Barbara. Opening its doors a couple years before the Covid pandemic in 2018; Solvang Spice Merchant not only survived but thrived with a brick and mortar storefront and an online shipping option (flat rate of $10 shipping no matter the size of purchase!). The business features hand-crafted spices and seasonings, teas, and foodie gift sets serving both tourists and Solvang residents, alike. My boyfriend and I ventured into the Solvang Spice Merchant when visiting Solvang from Los Angeles for the city's Christmas-time Julefest and gazed our eyes on a shop that would make any King or emperor proud. The store is filled with floor to ceiling shelves of spices/seasoning mixes categorized by country/region and then further sub-categorized by ingredients, styles (BBQ, Pickling, etc) available in various bottle sizes (plus some can be purchased at the counter in bulk, as well). If you can conceive a certain spice or seasoning, trust me that Solvang Spice Merchant has it! Even if you are not in the market for spices; the store is fun to browse and discover all of the spices from around the world. My personal spice journey has endlessly been looking for Garam Masala (an Indian spice) which I could have purchased at the Indian shop by my apartment in Los Angeles - but what fun is that?! It is much better to come across Garam Masala at Solvang Spice Merchant where the spices are combined by hand and with love while enjoying the world of spices! We purchased a 2.3 oz bottle (the smallest) of Garam Masala for $10.25 which isn't cheap: but expected from a boutique spice store. I have since used the spice mix on chicken, Steelhead trout and steamed veggies and it is absolute perfection and makes my apartment smell delightful with its warm spices. The only complaint? None of the two young females behind the counter welcomed us into the store, offered any samples (which I learned the store does indeed do), ask if we needed help, etc. Solvang's main gimmick is being a welcoming tourist city ESPECIALLY during Christmas as it is known as the, "Most Christmas-y City in the Nation". Unfortunately, that Hallmark Christmas movie customer service was absent the night of our visit. Despite this minor qualm; Solvang Spice Merchant is a charming spice shop fit for a King, emperor, sultan or just Averages Joes like you and I visiting Solvang. Not only will you find whatever spice your heart desires but you will have an enjoyable time simply scanning the shelves.
