Came here last year for my anniversary and had a lovely time! We were the only ones in the shop and it was a great experience! The employee was very knowledgeable and we bought a bottle of the 2019 Port. I loved sitting inside whete the air conditioner wasnt too cold but made us comfortable! We came to Solvang for some wine tasting and wanted to try somewhere new - Dascomb was recommended to us while we were exploring the town. The tasting room is beautiful and has both indoor and outdoor seating. If the weather is nice, sitting outside is wonderful. Great tasting menu with a good variety of 6 different wines to taste. While all of them were enjoyable, the Vintage Port was the big winner, and we brought a bottle home with us. Good choice for an afternoon wine tasting. read more

Dascomb is tucked away on Mission Dr by Cailloux Cheese Shop. Such a cute little tasting room. We were there with one other party so our tastings seemed very private and personal which I loved. Service was so amazing and she really catered to our palate. Don't pay attention to the size of this cellar because their wines are AMAZING. Wow so impressed by the wines here. It's rare that during a tasting, I would enjoy all of the wines from the whites to the reds. I usually lean reds but I so loved their white and rose. It's a beautiful and cozy tasting room and the lady who helped us was very sweet and knowledgeable. My only regret was not buying more wine bottles! Not only were the wines terribly cheap tasting with no character but the server/pourer was incredibly rude. The taste got smaller with every pour since we were "dumping" them. Not a big wine drinker, but one of the few wineries that has in-house port. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but regardless - it makes a really good dessert wine. Dascomh is a hidden gem in this courtyard in Solvang. Heather poured our wines and was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The tasting room is very cozy and welcoming with lots of indoor seating and a large covered patio that looked dog and kid-friendly. We enjoyed all of the wine on the tasting list, including the port which was surprisingly not to sweet or syrupy like many and is served with chocolate. Can't wait to come back! read more

Very good wines in a nice atmosphere. We didn't order any food here but we did try several of the wines and wound up buying a case of the rosé and a bottle of the port. Also have re-ordered wine from their website. We absolutely love their SYV Rosé which is uniquely made from 25% Syrah & 75% Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Inn offered 2 for 1 Wine Tasting at this place. Originally, we were planning to check out Royal Oaks Winery coming to find out that the owner was at this winery entertaining her guests. Overall, the ambiance was very relaxing. Since I really preferred dessert wines, the one and only dessert wine they had was a hit with my hubby and I. Tracy was really helpful and kind. Oh Dascomb Cellars, how I adore thee, let me count the ways! Carol greeted us from behind the counter instantly and warmly when we entered. The ambiance and decor is welcoming and chic. Officially, a flight was comprised of 5 wines at $20, but in reality we were given several more to try, including an incredible Grenache. They also offer a selection of yummy cheeses including a buttery Harvarti from Denmark which is a fitting cheese for this decidedly Danish town. The pours were very generous and each varietal was delicious on the nose and the palate in its own right. Their Viognier and Sangiovese were my personal favorites. The port paired delectably well with the dark coffee chocolate it was served with- a fine dessert to conclude an epic tasting! We shall be returning at every opportunity! I really liked this tasting room. We found a nice little spot in some cowhide chairs right by a fire place and ordered the 6 wine tasting for $15. Super Bonus that day each wine was paired with a little piece of one of the delicious cheeses. I really loved that. They were busy when we went (pre-covid) but they still came over to us when We were ready to move from each wine to the next and took time to explain a little bit about each wine and each cheese. The only criticism I have is that the employee spilled red wine on me and didn't offer to help clean or comp the tasting. Came here for a girls day trip from Goleta. We were really drawn to this place because of the free cheese pairings we saw other yelpers post. It's really small so on a busy weekend, there's minimal seating. The wines were really enjoyable but on a higher price scale, between $36-$70 per bottle. Our tasting room associate told us that the winemaker prefers to make wines that are drinkable without food pairings which we appreciated since I usually drink wine on its own, not with food. The reds were so light and smooth. My favorites were the Syrah and Sangiovese. They also had a nice Port. We purchased a creamy Cotswold English cheese that paired with the Sangiovese. read more

Just happens that wifey and I stayed overnight in Solvang on Friday and visited Dascomb on Saturday. We were greeted by Traci, who was very nice and social. While pairing wine with local cheese, we enjoyed sharing stories and getting to know her. She was very knowledgeable & personable and made our day trip a great and memorable experience. A must stop anytime we make a trip to Solvang and always take home a couple of bottles. Our fave is the Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Since covid we found out they relocated to Lompoc temporarily and have stopped in a few times there as well. It's definitely worth it! Their customer service is amazing. Went to Solvang for our anniversary getaway. It's right behind McClain Cellars, making it a nicer (in my opinion) experience, being off the main drag. The courtyard it's located in mutes all the downtown commotion. Very peaceful, and the Port / chocolate combo is a must. Cabernet was pretty good too. Katrina was our sommelier, she's awesome, very friendly and discreet as we had a sleeping baby. Love this place, will be back for sure. read more

Wines have been really good.... My favorites so far are the Sangiovese, Cabernet, and Meritage. Our server was fantastic.... This was a first time wine tasting for one of the friends from Peru and the server went out of her way to explain how things worked.... Gave helpful and accurate tasting notes for the different tastings, and treated us well even though we probably didn't like we would buy lots of wine. Dascomb Cellars is a cute tasting room with exceptional wine; we were a bit surprised since it's not a mainstream vineyard but a hidden gem. The wine is excellent, but the overall hospitality and experience is what sold us. Margaret was amazing! She gave us an education on wines as well as overall knowledge of the area regarding vineyards, history, to concierge service. She was right-on with our palette preferences. Since we were new to the area she gave us other recommendations to wineries, places to visit and restaurant suggestions. Pleasantly surprised. I came in here late on Thursday night it was nice they don't close early. I was by myself and did a tasting for one. The cheese and wine pairing was reasonable priced at roughly $13.00. I enjoyed having a cheesed paired with my wine. It brings out so many flavors. There is some comfy seating with couches and big chairs and then there is a tasting bar. I would go back here again with a bigger group! They don't accept electronic tips.
