This beautiful and spacious winery with stunning grounds. The wine was decent, but it didn't stand out as one of the best I've had. The service was also good, though not exceptional. My husband and I both agreed that it was a pleasant experience, but not a memorable one.

Scenic winery with good friendly service and a beautiful outdoor area to sit with family, kids, pets and taste some good wine :) in the sunshine with a view of the sunset. In $35, we got: - cab red wine by glass - 5/5 - smooth, not too bitter and good - white wine chardonnay by glass - 3/5 - potent and standard flavor Clean restrooms and clean premises. I wish they had more to nibble on other than cheese boards.

I had received a couple recommendations for Sunstone, so some friends and I decided to check it out on a Los Olivos day. And I was so happy to find that it was so much nicer than I had expected!! Sunstone is MASSIVE. I'm so used to going to wineries that have small tasting rooms, but there was so much outdoor seating to choose from. Not to mention the entire location was so beautiful. So peaceful and relaxing. If you get the chance, walk up to the balcony area and just take in the whole view. They have a good wine tasting flight - $30/person with 6 wines. Weren't my favorite wines ever, but still good. I made reservations online, but we they weren't necessary. So much open space. Staff here were friendly. Definitely recommend stopping by. Grab a glass, relax, and maybe explore the grounds a bit.

The ambience was excellent. Huge area. Many different areas to sit outside or inside. A beautiful warm / sunny day in the fall . We sat outside , one of the picnic tables with an umbrella. They all food and drink from outside. (More later on that. ) No food truck. Evidently, not enough people were buying from the trucks that they flake sometimes. No biggie , because most people are bringing their food. We did notice they started construction of a restaurant! Which is exciting. We inquired about it, and were told once the restaurant is operational we can't bring food/drink from outside. Ouch , that's a blow in my opinion. The area is perfectly setup for picnic style. Maybe I'm wrong , and the food will be amazing. But limited on options, isn't a plus. Wine tasting is $30 per person. They waive one tasting if you buy 3 bottles. Bottles $35-70. The wine is average, in my opinion. The wine, is not the reason people come to this winery. The place is amazing. They have an area for members only (we went with friends who are members) , but it was not open (probably staff shortage) - which kind was a bummer cause that area was even better than where we sat. Our server was JP. JP didn't know our friends were members (not his fault , but should have known. However JP didn't treat or make us welcomed as members.). We got the flight , and JP had no interest to talk about the wine. JP would present the bottle, announce the name and pour. We had initiated the conversation one time asking about the wine , and he did shared some details. JP served the Syrah twice, and never poured the last one , the Reserve. We asked about the dessert wine. JP described it , and without asking if we wanted to buy a pour he casually pointed out you can't enjoy a dessert wine after a full tasting. Oh, excuse me. My wife is an idiot interested in dessert wine. Brilliant one buddy. Granted it was late , and possibly at that point he couldn't sell a pour ? (Maybe not because he did ask for a tip , though our tastings were covered from the membership. Still - not professional in my opinion. If I was a member, i would be definitely reach out to the staff regarding the unpleasant experience. My friends are laid back , and I didn't say anything to ruin our amazing day. I'm hoping the owners/management note my comments. Feel free to PM.

A beautiful winery with grounds that make you feel like you are on a European vacation instead of a little corner of California. Their tasting fee is reasonable and their reds are one of the better ones I have tried in the Santa Ynez area. Service was friendly and relaxed, never felt rushed. The aesthetic of their tasting room just adds a little something to the experience.

We had our holiday team event in Santa Ynez. Our first stop was Sunstone Winery, and it did not disappoint! Extremely friendly staff, GREAT wine and amazing ambience.. We had a private area reserved for our party. The staff was extremely attentive, refilling our glasses and food. We even tried a great Merlot straight from the barrel. Would definitely come back again.

Tasting menu. More reds than whites

Did the tasting which is $30/pp. It had More reds than whites but you can ask to change them out. FYI Tasting room is not where the villa is. Okay place to take pics, but really not much to it.

Maria was very helpful in planning my engagement. The wine tasting and charcuterie board was wonderful and tasty. Very private and relaxing, perfect to setting the mood.

Visited this place during my bachelorette trip. This was a beautifully designed winery with amazing views. We had booked sunset time and our pictures all turned out amazing. I opted in for their wine tasting experience and I definitely recommend it as you get to try different variations of wine that they offer. Service in my opinion could have been better as it took a while for us to get seated although we had a reservation. Additionally they would take a long time to refill the complimentary bread and olive oil selection which they had inside the winery. We explored the place and took lots of photos unfortunately the villa as well as the upstairs area were closed due to a wedding so that's the only part of the winery we did not get to see. According to our waitress advance booking for the villa is recommended which is separate from the winery tour reservation. Overall I do recommend this place although service can hopefully improve in the future.

Love the relaxed atmosphere and chill vibes. Visually stunning and happy to be a member. I wish I could come here more often but grateful for the clear skies and the nice weather when I do arrive. Service is always good and the staff appears to stay. Always good to see Andrea when I'm here with a friend. Definitely an ideal place to picnic with their delicious wines.

I loved the wines here, good wine, it's one of those wineries you must visit when in the Santa Ynez valley. I hadn't made a reservation and they were able to accommodate me and my dogs on a busy afternoon. I wanted to be close to the music playing, was seated on picnic tables, mine didn't have an umbrella and that was ok but i got overwhelmed with the unsupervised kids throwing things next to my senior dog, I got up, grabbed my well behaved dogs and asked my server if I could move to a different area, the quiet one ! he was hesitant and told me I was gonna have to go back to the bar for my pours, fine with me I chose peace lol After the initial chaos I was able to relax and taste their wine, my server was helping other folks in my area and in the end was able to pour my tasting and I didn't have to be the ones going back and forth . There is plenty of parking but gets busy and you might have to wait for a space or park around the vineyard, thankfully they did have a person directing folks to park.

Great spot for wine tastings. You can bring your own food and water. It's a relaxing time especially if the weather is nice. Tables have umbrellas which is great. They also have food trucks available, as well as music. Truly a lovely spot. It's $25 for a tasting of 5 wines, but we got a 6th- a rose- thrown in. My favorite was Chardonnay. If you don't drink a certain wine, they can accommodate your tastes. Service was very courteous. NOTE: there are yellow jackets everywhere! Bring something to cover up your food and something to deter the yellow jackets if possible.

I have a question about the the Yelp checkin, I went once and was able to use it but then on another day they wouldn't let me use it. Just to be clear, what days and times can the check in be used so I can plan accordingly?

Hi Gavin, this was an old offer we did in the past but it's been removed. I'll go ahead and honor it for you this time, just let me know next time you would like to visit. I'll have to make a note and I'll create a reservation for you.

Hey Dave! Did you bring back cornhole, connect four bocce and the other lawn games?

We do have cornhole. The other games are up at the villa.

I see that the tasting just went up from $20 to $25. Is there no longer a Yelp check in for a buy one tasting get one free too?

They are still offering the deal. Go to their yelp page and you will see it. You have to check in to get the deal

Hello. We would like to visit your winery on Sunday 5/29, in the late afternoon. Does your venue still have live music, wine and food in the late afternoon?

Hi we will be open normal hours that day, 11am-5pm. No live music scheduled at the moment, only on 5/27 which is the first day of our Sunsets at Sunstone summer series. We'll definitely have food and plenty of wine!

Hi there, when making reservations on uour website shoukd I count in the kids as well? Also any special happening or events during the week of April 4-8 (weekdays)?

Hi Sheila, yes please include the number of children when making your reservation. It is based on seating not tastings. No events at this point during that time, but if anything changes we will definitely make an announcement. We look forward to… Read more

We're thinking of biking there. Is there somewhere to park our bikes?

Yes! I saw there were bikes parked by the entrance!

    Is this place Kid friendly?

    Yes, we love kids :)

How much is wine tasting and how much are tours?

Hi Dan- We offer a tasting flight of six wines for $20. We don’t offer tours at this time but we hope to bring them back in the future. Cheers!

Due to Covid concerns, are wine tastings done outdoors? Thanks!

Yes, it was done outdoor. We didn't go inside at all.

Several reviews mention "house music" - are you still playing this type of music and if so is it everyday?

No. That only happened one time. We had a DJ here on that particular day and he strayed from an approved playlist. Most days we play a relaxed, European lounge style of music. Occasionally, we play an “employee favorites” list that includes classic… Read more

Is there any food available on Saturday's? We came a few years ago and had fresh made pizza in cave! Is that still happening?

There's a good truck available on weekends

Is the food truck also there on Fridays?

Hi Apple. Yes, we have a food truck here until 4:00pm on Fridays. And for the next six Fridays (Memorial Day Weekend through 4th of July Weekend), the food truck will be here until 7:30pm on Fridays. Cheers!

Hi! I came here in October 2019. We purchased a special port but I could not find it on your website. Is this item only available for purchase in person?

Hi Asia- We have actually run out of the Umbra port. It is not even available in person. However, we are releasing our next one in October/November this year and it will be available for sale online and in person at that time. Cheers!

When doing reservations online for the weekend, I'm being asked to provide a credit card number. Will we be able to use a different card the day of?

Absolutely! The card you enter at the time of booking a reservation is not charged. It is entered just to secure the reservation. You may pay for anything with any card you would like (or cash) when you are here. We look forward to hosting you!

Do you need reservations? Also, is it still pet friendly?

Hello! Yes, dogs are welcome as long as they are with their owner and on a leash at all times. Reservations are highly recommended on Saturdays and Sundays. But Monday through Friday no reservation is needed. On weekends, we do try to accommodate as… Read more

Yes, we are dog friendly. All dogs must remain on a leash at all times. Cheers!

Can you walk around thru the vineyard?

Is it good for kids? Have food options? And open seating during covid?

Final Girl Wines was a must stop for me while visiting Solvang!…read more Final Girl Wines is located in the heart of Solvang and is a funky addition to this magical little town. I am a huge horror fan so I was beyond excited to check them out over the weekend! The inside and vibe was all I could hope for and more! We were immediately greeted when we arrived and found a table to sit at and enjoy our time. There were only a few tables plus bar seating available so it was nice and cozy. I loved seeing all of the horror memorabilia, decor and merchandise throughout including the killer Ghostface mask and Halloween pinball machine. My husband ordered a glass of their Cab which he loved and I ordered a Vamperol Spritz - they were even kind enough to make our daughter a mocktail. They even brought her over a Nightmare Before Christmas activity kit to keep busy and we bought a Michael Myers sticker as well as a Nightmare Before Christmas hair clip to take home. I'm kicking myself now for not buying a t-shirt! Kids are very welcome at this winery which was a huge plus for us! Staff were personable and made our visit very enjoyable! Final Girl Wines also offers tasting flights and non-alcoholic options as well! They do not offer food, but there are so many great places in Solvang to check out. If you're a horror fan or just enjoy good wine, you have to check out Final Girl Wines while in Solvang! I can't wait to come back and give them another visit one day!

The wall colour was pretty but was a little unimpressed with the amount of horror stuff. Maybe having a horror movie on the back corner playing silent would be cool or more Halloween decorations? Somthing was missing. The chimney was cool though. Anyways, shop opened over an hour late. Came back a few times and noticed it was opened. We were the 1st customers in. My main issue is only the owner was not paying attention to not only us (party of 4) but also the couple in the front and the back corner. Gave all his attention to the people at the bar. I dont drink wine and wanted to learn more or at least which wine I like. He couldn't keep up with pouring my wine flight. Waited way too long for pours. Very little explanation of the wine or suggested pairings. And mentioned more than once "I forgot about you". My party was fed up wanted to leave after they finished their spritzers and glass but I was flight pour 3 out of 5. He did not asked if they wanted more drinks. My partner got tired of waiting and headed over to the counter for 10 minutes before being helped to pay since he did not go to our the table. I'm glad we decided to not eat there who knows how long we would have waited on food. I double the Suggestion from another post hire some additional help. I did see thought the day the shop is packed and I'm happy for that but I wish the owner would of delivered a better experience.
