Sitting under an umbrella we ordered a charcuterie board and viewed the tasting list. $40 a person seemed a bit high..... having never tried their wines I spoke with Daniel our server. The winery has their own farm so they also have a produce stand that sells their food. The service was also perfect. Very courteous and suggests what your palate feels like tasting/eating. We were recommended from friends to go here and they were right, Roblar is great and does not disappoint. We ate breakfast and I had the crab and asparagus hash while my husband had the harros eggplant with Baja shrimp. We both loved our dishes. Very flavorful and feels so healthy eating farm to table. Roblar Winery continues to be one of my favorite stops in Santa Ynez, and this visit was another reminder of why. This was my third time here, and it never fails to deliver both great food and a beautiful, relaxing setting. We came for lunch and every dish stood out. The Chef's Cobb Salad was fresh, hearty, and beautifully balanced. The blue cheese in particular really made it shine. It added just the right amount of creamy, tangy contrast without overpowering the rest of the ingredients. The Candied Bacon BLT was indulgent in the best way, but what surprised me most was the side salad. It was light, crisp, and refreshing, with a bright, almost delicate quality that oddly reminded me of the kind of simple, clean side salad you might get at a sushi restaurant. A really nice palate cleanser between bites. The Wood-fired Roblar Farm Pizza was a standout. Crispy, garlicky, and slightly smoky from the oven, with a subtle curry note that gave it a warm, aromatic depth. It almost ate like a savory garlic naan in pizza form, which made it incredibly addictive. Everything was perfectly paired with a glass of rosé and Chardonnay, and the vineyard views and open-air setting made the whole experience feel like a mini escape from everyday life. Once again, big thanks to the Red Dining Book, I found a new favorite winery! A great winery with good food is always a huge plus for me since I'm not a big drinker. Good wines, delicious food, beautiful winery. This place is a must visit! Came here with my neighbor since she spoke fondly of Roblar, and the fact that all their food pics just look so mouth watering. The winery is on the smaller side, but they have a decent indoor tasting room, and a beautiful outdoor patio with gorgeous wisteria at this time of year. First time here I opted for a glass of 2021 petite sirah and thoroughly enjoyed it. The second time I came back with my family and went for the tasting (BOGO with the Red Dining Book). All the food we have tried here were delicious! On Thursday they have fried chicken special that comes with a side salad, and the most delicious biscuit! I'm still dreaming of that biscuit and definitely going to ask next time if I can just order the biscuits a la carte lol. Their outdoor patio also has a wonderful small garden with homegrown veggies and flowers. Great for a little stroll before or after your meal/tasting. Both times we've been here, our wait staff have been wonderful and extremely friendly. Besides the food being on a more pricey side, we really have no complaints at all. We made reservations for 2, just a couple of hours in advance of our arrival. In case we hit the Saturday lunch crowd. Got there and we were seated promptly. Outdoor seating was wonderful, tables are all pretty far apart so you don't feel cramped and servers are all friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about their menu, including the wine menu and can make wise recommendations. Let's just say...... We CAME for the wine (it's true), but.... We STAYED for the food!! (Cause damn was it goood!) Roblar Winery was stop #2 after hitting Gainey Vineyard's located just 7 minutes down the road and it definitely was the cherry on top to our wine tasting adventure. Upon walking in, we were taken to a nice outdoor table in the shade and given a chance to check out their wine and food menus. We decided to get a few light snacks to hold us over to dinner and share a bottle of white wine for the table. Don't get me wrong, The wine was fantastic... But the food, the food was definitely the star of the show. For me, when it comes to food, I'm all about the presentation. And whomever plated our dishes that day... Absolutely NAILED IT! (A++ to you) To complement our wine, we ordered a dish of their garlic hummus served with house made pita as well as their charcuterie board. In hindsight, it was the wine that complemented our food. Meh. Out of our day of tastings, this was my least favorite stop. On the plus side, the food was specTACular. I'm still dreaming about that Pork Schnitzel. And they have a massive outdoor patio with lots of seating. We were actually seated outside by a fireplace, which was perfect, because I'm always the cold one with my group of friends. On the not-so-plus side...the wines were pretty blah, on checking-in the welcome was not on the warm side, and they were VERY understaffed....so understaffed that we were waiting about 15 minutes between pours, and I finally had to go track down our server for the check because she never came back to check on us. So, all in all, not a horrible winery, but there are so many fabulous options in the region, I recommend a hard pass on this one. read more

Beautiful location, but extremely disappointing service and possible discriminatory practices. We visited as a group of 8 and were immediately told the only option available was the picnic tables -- despite numerous sofa sections being "reserved." We were also told we couldn't pull up extra chairs. However, during the two hours we were there, we watched both smaller and larger groups (some without apparent reservations) being seated in the sofa areas, and several guests adding chairs freely. Unfortunately, the customer service we received was unwelcoming and dismissive, without any clear reason. We were a polite, well-dressed group who spent a significant amount, but we were made to feel like an inconvenience from the start. We hope this was just a case of poor management or bias -- but given what we witnessed, it's hard not to question whether discrimination played a role. read more

Had the pleasure of having breakfast at Roblar. I had the fluffy pancakes and maple bacon - delicious! Enjoy a watermelon mimosa- never had one but it was so refreshing in the heat. We checked out their items for sale and I bought the wine deep sea salt (smells so good) and their olive oil. Unfortunately, we didn't stay to try a wine tasting due to other reservations but I will definitely return. There's plenty of parking and their grounds are just beautiful. Roblar came highly recommended, and for good reason. This is a fantastic winery in the Santa Ynez Valley. The wine tasting was great and included five tastings. Our favorite was the platinum Chardonnay. It was so good, we bought a bottle or two to go. We enjoyed all the wines we tried from the rose to the Pinot noir. We took a bottle of the Pinot home as well. The service was wonderful, and the grounds are stunning. The outdoor patio has plenty of seating with shaded tables. A friend invited me to brunch at Roblar a few months ago and I thought - great, wine tasting with some food, but now I come for the food and wine tasting is a plus! They have some of the best food in the valley. Everything is farm to table - there's even a produce stand onsite. It definitely gets hot during the summer but luckily the bar inside has air conditioning. The patio has gorgeous views of the mountains and is tucked in between beautiful flower beds.
