Spicy omelet with tots and toast
    Missy S.

This place was AMAZING for breakfast! I went twice while I town. The spicy omelet with andouille was delicious and so fresh! It had a kick to it and you didn't even need to had a hot sauce! Great coffee as well. Loved sitting on the patio with great weather. Service was lovely. Highly recommend if you are in Solvang!!

Brekkies was hands down the best food my family and I had while on our mini vacation in Solvang! We arrived around 8:30am on a Saturday to a small line, but it moved fairly quickly. You order at the counter and then they have you sit at a table - they do not allow you to sit before ordering which I liked. It allows for the kitchen and staff to stay on top of orders and to help everything run smoothly - plus it cuts down on allowing people to save tables. We ordered the Belgian Waffle, Corned Beef Hash, Biscuits and Gravy and Danish Pancake. Everything was fresh and delicious, including the coffee and fresh squeezed OJ! The inside has a decent amount of seating, I believe there might have been an additional room as well, plus outdoor seating. Staff were very friendly and personable! They came around and checked on us, refilled water/coffee and cleaned plates. Overall, we absolutely loved this place - we almost came back again on Sunday, but the line was really long and we needed to get on the road to head home! Fun fact: Brekkies is British slang for...breakfast! Also, the owner of Brekkies also owns 2 or 3 other businesses in town included Chomp Burgers which was also very good! If you're ever in Solvang and looking for a breakfast/brunch spot, I highly suggest checking out Brekkies!

Pretty solid breakfast for a reasonable price, although nothing worth waiting in line for. My mom and I shared their signature danish pancakes and a corned beef hash. The pancakes were reminiscent of a mix between a crepe and pancake with a subtle sweet eggy flavor. I enjoyed that it wasn't supper dense or overly sweet. Simple and plain. We also liked the corned beef hash but the portion for it wasn't great. Tater tots and bread helped to fill us up. We got here around 10:45AM and waited in line until around 11AM to order at the front, then got seated immediately after. Food came out at 11:15AM. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a very homey cozy looking spot that looks like a neighborhood favorite.

I usually don't bother unless a place is horrendous but this place is beyond that. I have never had this bad of an avocado toast in my entire life. It consistent of a tower of avocados, a whisper of bread, and a whiff of tomatoes. Olive oil on top of the toast tastes artificial. Tater tots tasted like they were fried in a purposefully aged frying oil.

My sister and I came here for breakfast. It did not disappoint. Great car of breakfast. I ordered chilaquiles with a Bellini and my sister had a veggie omelette with orange juice. I have to say my favorite was the beans. They were so flavorful, a nice surprise from never having to notice beans tasting so great. You come in order and pay. Then they will give you a number. The drinks and food came quick. Everything was good. This was one of my sister's favorite places to eat. Service was great. They came often to check, all staff were youngsters truly working. The ambiance is very cool. At the entrance there's several napkin drawings. So many talented artists. Some of my favorites were the Solvang town and yoda. Plenty of table and booth seating inside. There's also outdoor seating.

Best breakfast in Solavng. We came in on a Sunday around nine. You order at the register and then you get seated. Your food is brought to you. You get refills on your coffee and water from the servers. Food is delicious! I absolutely loved my omelette. It was huge too. I couldn't finish it and it still tasted good the next day. They have a great patio from the weather is nice. It is dog friendly.

They don't waste any time here. You order with the cashier, pay for your order and then you're seated. All the staff that came to our table were nice and happy. Your food arrives quickly. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the corned beef hash. Lived the crispy tots! They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoors needs a bit of a cleaning - but overall we enjoyed our breakfast and appreciated the efficiency with a smile.

I was in town for the half marathon and we stopped here after but breakfast. We waited 40 mins for a table but once seated our food was out super fast! Everything was delicious. I got the chilaquiles half and half on the salsa.

Upon arrival in Solvang on a a Sunday afternoon, we were in desperate need of food and turned to Brekkies by Chomp to fill that need. It seemed only right and natural to order the Danish pancakes, with a side of Danish sausage. The Danish pancakes are thin, kind of in between a crepe and an American pancake. These had a slight lemon flavor and were sprinkled with powdered sugar. The sausage was a larger link type sausage with a mild flavor. Enjoyed the meal and it was definitely filling. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed eating outdoors. The surroundings are pretty stark/no-frills but, who needs frills when the food speaks for itself.

Brekkies by Chomp is a solid breakfast spot in Solvang for classic comfort food. We tried two pancake styles -- a fluffy American pancake and a Danish-style one that was thin like a crêpe with crispy edges and dusted with powdered sugar. The Danish pancake was the standout. The rest of the plate hit the spot too: soft scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and a juicy sausage, plus fresh orange juice and chocolate milk. Service was friendly. Cozy, homey ambiance and a great place to start the day.

I can't say enough about this lunch spot. The employees are top notch! The food was good! After sitting in a car for 4 hours and not being able to find parking in their lot (cause people parked there that should not have and didn't go to the businesses!) we parked at the hotel and walked over. Employees could tell I was burnt out. They were so kind and friendly. Nutella toast was good, oatmeal had gorgeous presentation and worth the price. Brown sugar, almond slices, milk, raisins: yum! Monte Cristo was also decent. This is the one of the only places I would return to Solvang for! I wish I had left a larger tip as I didn't not know how serve worked there.

My husband loooved his protein waffle so much that he said it's the best brunch restaurant ever. It's perfect for every gym goer. The bulking top up for $4 is great addition to the waffle. Fluffy, crispy on the outside and so flavourful every bite was delicious. My eggs Benedict was average. Mild and lacked flavor We got the danish crepe for the baby but he didn't eat it. It's soft and fluffy. Tater tots really crispy and yummy. Love them. Service is super quick Cute ambiance and vibe. The place is packed with long lines. Shows how good they are.

For my first visit, I am now a fan. The ambiance is nice and comfortable, with lots of natural light. I was quickly seated by a large window that looked out onto an area with tables for a bakery next door. Ideas for dessert? The menu is varied enough for folks, and I focused on the Gold Coast Grilled Cheese sandwich (sharp cheddar, gruyere, mozzarella, caramelized onions, parmesan crisp, The Baker's Table pain au levain vegetarian) with a choice of sides. I had also noticed a new offering, a creamy Fennel soup with local olive oil, and toasted almonds. I choose a cup of that soup for a side. The sandwich and soup came together, and the soup was steamy hot - literally! The sandwich has a side served up with grilled parmesan cheese, and the opposite side (or flip side, as I want to say) has the traditional grilled look. I have photos of both sides here. The soup was indeed creamy, and at one point I was trying to figure out how to answer someone who asks, "What does it taste like?" And I still don't have an answer. However, it does have a slight herbal licorice taste, but not at all overwhelming, and if you don't eat licorice, you may notice it but not be able to place it. However, if you don't like licorice, I think you would still enjoy this soup, as the flavor is very subtle. It was extremely delicious. The sandwich, with the parmesan crisp and mixed cheeses, was very cheesy, and I loved that. Overall, the food was outstanding and the service wonderful, with water refills on cue and quick service for ordering and closing out the bill. My server, Maggie, was top notch - thank you! If you are in Solvang and want a quality meal at a decent price (for Solvang) come here, and if they are less busy than usual, all the better!

The dining room was beautiful and would make a great date night spot with its quieter atmosphere, but it felt a little warm for our liking, so we chose to sit outside. The patio was comfortable, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the evening. We started with the grilled skirt steak, ordered medium rare, although it came out closer to medium well. Fortunately, the sesame-cilantro marinade and pickled vegetables brought plenty of flavor to the dish and made up for the temperature miss. For our entrée, we shared the Creekstone ribeye. We ordered it medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium. Despite that, the steak was still very tasty. We paired it with the glazed wild mushrooms, which ended up being my favorite item of the savory dishes, along with the Stuffed Shell "Mac n' Cheese." Everything arrived hot and was well prepared. We also ordered a few cocktails, which were okay but didn't stand out. A little more attention behind the bar would have elevated the experience even further. Halfway through dinner, I asked for Maldon sea salt for the steak, and the team happily accommodated the request, which was appreciated. The highlight of the night was easily the Brown Butter Brioche Donuts for dessert. Absolutely fantastic. Soft, rich, and packed with flavor. They were the perfect way to end the meal and the one dish I'd tell everyone to order. Overall, while a couple of the steak temperatures missed the mark and the drinks were a bit mid, the service, atmosphere, and dessert made for a very enjoyable evening. We'd definitely come back and explore more of the menu.
