What really disappointed us was an interaction with one staff member regarding seating. We understand the policy about not saving tables, and normally that would be completely fine. However, we were next in line to order, there were still plenty of open tables at the time, and we were with 5 kids, a baby, and a senior citizen grandmother. While the parents were ordering, our grandma sat down with the children thinking it would be okay since we had already waited so long and were about to order. Unfortunately, a staff member came over yelling at us and aggressively shooing us away from the table. The way she spoke to our grandmother felt extremely rude and unnecessary. A little kindness and consideration would have gone a long way, especially with children and elderly family members involved. I don't want to make assumptions or turn this into a bigger issue, but the interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. It was disappointing because the food itself was genuinely very good. Alright y'all, don't let the long wait scare you away , it is absolutely worth it! From the moment we sat down, the service was great. The girls working there were attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving despite how busy the place was. Before coming in, we read all the reviews about the chilaquiles, and since that's one of my all-time favorite breakfast dishes, I came in with high expectations. I ordered the chilaquiles half-and-half style with both red and green sauce plus chorizo... and they delivered! Both sauces were seriously good. By the end of the meal, I think the green sauce barely won me over, but honestly it was a tough decision because both were delicious. Brekkies was hands down the best food my family and I had while on our mini vacation in Solvang! We arrived around 8:30am on a Saturday to a small line, but it moved fairly quickly. You order at the counter and then they have you sit at a table - they do not allow you to sit before ordering which I liked. It allows for the kitchen and staff to stay on top of orders and to help everything run smoothly - plus it cuts down on allowing people to save tables. We ordered the Belgian Waffle, Corned Beef Hash, Biscuits and Gravy and Danish Pancake. Everything was fresh and delicious, including the coffee and fresh squeezed OJ! The inside has a decent amount of seating, I believe there might have been an additional room as well, plus outdoor seating. Staff were very friendly and personable! They came around and checked on us, refilled water/coffee and cleaned plates. Overall, we absolutely loved this place - we almost came back again on Sunday, but the line was really long and we needed to get on the road to head home! Pretty solid breakfast for a reasonable price, although nothing worth waiting in line for. My mom and I shared their signature danish pancakes and a corned beef hash. The pancakes were reminiscent of a mix between a crepe and pancake with a subtle sweet eggy flavor. I enjoyed that it wasn't supper dense or overly sweet. Simple and plain. We also liked the corned beef hash but the portion for it wasn't great. Tater tots and bread helped to fill us up. Came here for brunch before heading back to LA! At 12:30 there was a line so we waited and it wasn't to bad. We had a chance to browse their the menu and had an idea of what we wanted. I told them I have a dairy and egg allergy. I ordered the veggie scramble bowl ($15.50), and requested for it to be cooked in oil instead of butter. This bowl contains Hungry Planet plant based chorizo, black beans, corn, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, onions , green onions, and avocado . If you want to make it vegetarian, you can add egg in it for $2.75. This dish is also gluten free. The cashier told me that the hashbrowns were cooked in a separate fryer than anything else so I was able to order that without the risk of contamination. My also had the Monte cristo (brioche bread with Swiss cheese, ham, turkey, and eggs for $16.50), breakfast croissant (fried egg, sausage patty, bacon for $15.50), corned beef hash (corned beef, potatoes, onions, pepper, eggs, toast for $16.50), danish pancakes (crepe like pancakes for $12.95). All came with tator tots. I liked that the veggie scramble bowl was colorful, but was very bland. Was not impressed by it. It needed some sazon. This dish shouldn't be that expensive either since it's literally a bowl of veggies. My family thought that their food was okay. Food was really overpriced but it's a tourist town so I'm not surprised. This restaurant is located on a busy street in a very popular tourist destination. There is plenty of free parking but it might not be close by. I arrived on a Tuesday around 10 am.
