Food and service were equally great. Maggie was my server. I sat outside as I had 2 toy pups with me. I had the Brussel salad and added a piece of hot chicken. Was delicious and fresh. Potatoes were a suggestion from my daughter. They're Michelin rated so there's likely not a bad choice on the menu. Maggie brought a bowl of water for the dogs.

Dropped by Solvang and decided to try this Michelin restaurant. The hot chicken was delicious. My schnitzel salad was good, but I felt the schnitzel was just okay. However, the salad itself was great! macaroni and cheese was okay. Overall, great service, cute place. What I really wanted to try was the kobe dip...maybe next time.

Peasants Feast has been on my list of restaurants to try at Solvang but never have the time to or the line has always been long. This time, we made sure to make time for it and roughly around 11:30 am, we walked over and put our name down. It took about 45 minutes before we were seated which didn't really feel like a long time since we kept ourselves busy by going in and out of stores! For food we ordered: - Pastrami Smoked Salmon Burger = 5/5 - Solvang Hot Chicken = 5/5 - Mac and Cheese = 3.5/5 - Fig Grilled Cheese (seasonal special) = 3.8/5 - Mushroom and Carnitas Tacos = 4/5 The food was incredible! I especially really liked the Pastrami Smoked Salmon burger. It was super delicious and huge portion too! My partner's brother quickly devoured the Solvang Hot Chicken sandwich. It was the table's favorite! Really glad we were able to try it! If you're trying to add this to your Solvang itinerary, make sure to come right when they open or put your name down and walk around like we did!

Peasant's Feast is a great stop in Solvang for a high-quality, casual meal. Came on the weekend right after Christmas and we had a 1.2 hour wait for a party of 10. They do have one large table that can comfortably fit 10 people. The service was friendly, and the ingredients definitely felt fresh. Here is the breakdown of what we tried: The Mains: * Hot Chicken Sandwich (4/5): A very solid choice with a great crunch. It was a good sandwich, though I felt the chicken itself could have used a bit more seasoning/flavor to make it truly stand out. * Smash Burger (4/5): A classic, good-tasting burger. Well-executed and hit the spot. * Pastrami Salmon (3.5/5): This is a cold sandwich. It was my least favorite of the three, but to be fair, I'm not the biggest salmon fan to begin with. The Sides (The real stars!): The sides here are impressive. We tried three, and all of them were winners: * 5/5 Crispy Potatoes: My favorite! It's a very large portion size, and they were perfectly crispy and delicious. * 4.5/5 Polenta: Tasted similar to cheddar grits--creamy, cheesy, and very savory. * 4.5/5 Butternut Squash Soup: Also really good and flavorful, I just personally preferred the potatoes and polenta more! Overall, it's a lovely spot with a great atmosphere. I'd definitely come back for those potatoes alone!

Visited peasant feast on a solvang day trip for lunch. Food was delicious and generally fair value for the area, so much so that I decided to have round 2 at their deli market across the street! Corn Soup $13 Pricey but delicious. Worth trying once. Pastrami Smoked Salmon $21 I'm a sucker for smoked salmon so I bit the bullet. Although I can't quite put my finger on how pastrami smoked salmon is different than your usual smoked salmon, I can tell that the fish quality is great, and it has the same smoothness that makes *smoked salmon superior to other forms of cooked salmon*. (*personal opinion but fight me if u think otherwise.) House Pickles $16 Something I would order again! I enjoyed how they had a variety of veggies pickled here and my fav to try was the cauliflower (very crunchy) and the beets. Usually I'm not a big fan of beets, but this pickled version had a great balance between sweetness and briney sourness. The portions for this one are better for a larger table, since it's heavy on flavor, and I couldn't finish it on my own. I had asked for it to go but they only provided a paper box, which is kinda bad for keeping pickles so ended up tossing some out before the drive back... Across the street in their deli, they also sold the pickles in plastic containers; but those did not come in a variety like the restaurant. The Godfather $18 Delicious, would buy again. Since this seemed to be only available in the deli across the street, I uploaded the review details in the deli's yelp page.

The food here was really good. My top favorites were the mussels and the butternut squash soup. Both were incredibly flavorful. If I had to pick one standout item, it would definitely be the butternut squash soup. That was the best butternut squash soup I've ever had. The sandwiches were also great too. The disappointing part of the meal were the fries. They were over salted, so I wasn't able to enjoy them and stopped eating them after having a couple.

    Wonderful tea selection!

Truly the best grilled cheese sandwich ever!! Gruyere, mozzarella, parmesean, white cheddar and sweet grilled onions!! The cheesy polenta was also delightful! Its the most quaint little spot in Solvang!! We were in a rush and service was fast and on point! We're going back tomorrow

This really hit the spot after the long drive from LA and walking around the town. The staff were super upbeat and kind. I sat in doors which was super cozy, filled with cookbooks and plants. There are also massive windows ~ I felt like a fairy in a greenhouse haha I got the Solvang Hot Chicken Sandwich with a soup salad. The chicken was spiced deliciously! The soup was a pumpkin one so it was very autumn. I'd recommend checking out this spot when you're in Solvang. Heads up that there was a long wait so keep that in mind when planning your Solvamg trip.

We came in for brunch on a busy Saturday but luckily our wait wasn't too long. We got lucky with timing - about 15 mins later there was a long waitlist and people standing around waiting for a table. We ordered the Ceasar salad with grilled chicken, fried chicken sandwich and the short rib grilled cheese. The Ceasar salad was delicious! Lettuce was crisped and I loved how crunchy the croutons were. There was also a lot of freshly grated parm on top, yum! The fried chicken sandwich was also yummy. Chicken was crispy and flavorful. My favorite was the short rib grilled cheese. I loved that there was a cheese crust on the outside. I just wished they had more short rib in between the slices. If I were back in Solvang, I wouldn't mind eating here again!

First of all.. did they put crack in this butternut squash?!! Each spoon was soooo addicting! I need to learn how to make this and eat it every morning because it will also help with pregnancy bloat. The little gems salad was amazing.. added some carnitas as protein and not sure if that was a necessary add bc the veggies were so good on their own. Maybe chicken would have went better with the salad but the carnitas were super crispy which I loved. The chicken burger (or sandwich?) was a savory herby ball of goodness but maybe a little bit breadier than I like. Overall, a super cute place with great food!

peasants FEAST is an airy adorable restaurant in downtown Solvang. They have a decent food as drink items. And offered both indoor and outdoor dining. Loved their comfortable chairs. Service was good. Food was average. This spot was pinned on my itinerary so here I am. I came to grab a late lunch. I was ebulliently greeted by a mature female staff. I had a salmon sandwich x salad; fresh lemonade. I liked it. Service was spot on. Menu items were a bit pricey..But hey you're in Solvang the Denmark capital of CA. :D Atmosphere was quite relaxing. Decor and layout were good with ample of natural light. Plenty of parking. Overall, I had a pleasant lunch meal. And enjoyed their service. I recommend peasants FEAST.

This is such a cute date spot in Solvang. It's dog friendly and has plenty of seating inside and outside. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive the entire time and gave me some suggestions for ciders for the table. My boyfriend ordered a burger and I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. We split each and personally I enjoyed the burger more. Will definitely be back!

Back again on Sunday afternoon and the service was just as great as the first time! The host was super friendly and our server was prompt and attentive. We decided to try the tacos this time and they were outstanding -- I'm literally craving them again today. The spicy habanero sauce was delicious and had the perfect kick -- right up my alley! We sat on the side of the restaurant this time, and it was nice and quiet. Such a great vibe overall. We'll definitely keep bringing our family and friends here -- love introducing people to great food!

Our party of 4 was seated and waited about 20-30 minutes without a waiter in sight. Meanwhile, a table seated after us had already placed their order and received drinks. I eventually had to flag someone down, and they mentioned they would get our waiter. They later returned and took our order themselves, saying our waiter, Christian, would be with us shortly. To Christian's credit, he did apologize when he arrived, but throughout dinner the service continued to fall short. He would stop by asking if everything was okay while our cups sat empty, then walk away without offering refills. We had to specifically ask for water and drink refills. At the end of the meal, we also weren't asked about dessert or whether we needed anything else. We had to ask for the check and he pulled out of his vest. That said, the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. The outdoor seating is beautiful, especially the built-in fireplaces at the tables, which we really enjoyed. The live music also added a nice touch to the evening. Food-wise, the appetizers were the highlight. The ceviche and flautas were excellent. I ordered the Black Tie Burger, which was just okay, but the fries were delicious.
