I dislike the walk up window. It's a brewery. Let us sit and serve us at the table. I was irritated that she did not have recommendations when I asked nor got my correct order for onion rings. The meal however was delicious despite being out of pulled pork and I enjoyed my beer. It was lively altho challenging to see the soccer game. My kids were happy playing checkers and they made friends playing tether ball! I'll try another place in solvang when we come back to visit.

Large, spacious, and dog friendly brewery with plenty of seating. We ordered the wings, elote, onion rings, and the sampler platter, and everything was delicious. The wings had a nice kick to them, and all of the sides were great for sharing. There were three of us, and it ended up being more than enough food. My only minor complaint was the service. Nothing was wrong or unpleasant, but we weren't checked on throughout our meal. Overall, I'd still come back for the food and relaxed atmosphere.

This was a great stop for our day trip to Solvang! Such an easy dining experience too if you are not too picky about an "elevated" dining experience, in which our case, we were just hungry and wanted something quick and easy to eat! You basically can just pick any open table they have (indoor and outdoor seating options, dog friendly!), order at the bar, and then your food is delivered to your table. Such an easy dining experience! They have a great selection of beers and bar food, we enjoyed the carnitas nachos and the burger and both were delicious and satiating! Right in the middle of this cute little town so plenty of shops and picture opportunities for before or after your meal!

It was a long day and things were starting to close. Looked for places to eat and saw that this place was open until 1am and got decent reviews on the food. So we figured why not. I'm sure glad we did. The food for "bar food" was easily above average. We ordered the sausage sampler and shared a BLT. I washed it down with a blood orange beer they had on tap. Everything the delicious. The area was nice and clean, service was friendly and attentive and food was good. Couldn't ask for much more. Especially considering it was late at night. I'm glad they were open and would definitely like to come back! Highly recommended!

Great spot. Delicious food and beer. We stopped by during the week wasn't busy at all. The service was great, we got a food right away. Highly recommend the wings 10/10 and the nachos are huge (great for groups). It's a big space and are able to accommodate large groups.

((Friday night)) Try their buffalo wings! They have a great flavor. They had a bit of a crunch and the ranch was amazing. Now that that's out of the way. The place seemed very clean atmosphere was lively. They had indoor and outdoor seating. This is a place. I would definitely visit often if I was a local. One thing I will say we did have to order at the bar, there wasn't someone who would go to the table to take your order. They did, however, take the food out to your table.

We tried this out for dinner one night when we were staying in town. It was a short walk from our hotel. There is an inside dining area or a robust outside seating area. They have a fireplace outside that you can pull up a chair. This was a cute find in town and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The food was good and the service was very friendly. You ordered out a window and they brought it out to your table.

Had one beer here. Didn't try their food. But great experience, everywhere you turn is a picture. Lots of outdoor seating.

Went bar Hopping to watch Monday night football, Texans vs Steelers. Found this location for some drinks and snacks. Solvang brewery speaks for itself with assorted IPAs, Seltzers and beer. Kept ordering drinks all night. Ambiance was great. Reminded me of being in Europe, Denmark and Germany along with Mexican flavor added to it. This place had a good vibe. The workers were friendly and prompt with drinks. No issues just had a good time. Parking was available up front. It was slow since it was a Monday. Restrooms were clean. I would comeback anytime if I am in the area. Kudos to Andrea, she was professional. Cool peeps

Sausage Platter, Tomato Soup, Loaded baked potatoes w Tri Tip
    Kevin N.

You need to get the tri-tip add-on on the large baked potato. The value here is insane -- the portion is huge, hearty, cheesy, and exactly as satisfying as it sounds. It was so good we came back the next day just to order it again. The tri-tip was flavorful and generous, making this one of the most filling items in town. The tomato soup was another standout: creamy, well-seasoned, and comforting without being heavy. We also tried the sausage platter. I enjoyed it overall (especially if you're a sausage fan), though the sausages themselves didn't particularly stand out. That said, the sides really carried it -- pretzels, sauerkraut, pickled onions, and dips were all solid and thoughtfully paired. Only critique: the baked potato was cooked on parchment paper, which absorbed moisture and mixed slightly into the food. Didn't ruin the dish, but worth noting. Still highly recommend for value and comfort food.

Located in the heart of Solvang, if you enjoy good food and beer this is the place for you. Also, there's a full bar, but we stuck with beers. Plenty of seating inside and outside. You order food and drinks from the bar and your food is delivered to your table. Our Sando and soup was delicious. The entire staff is welcoming and help create a fun vibe. If you give SBC a try, you won't be disappointed. Cheers!

Arrived in Solvang during lunch time. Wanted to celebrate getting a parking spot during Julefest :D Saw that the brewing company had some tables available. Quickly grabbed a table and ordered a few things. I was lucky because as soon as I got back to the table, the line to order extended onto the sidewalk. Food was delivered fairly quickly. Kids enjoyed their fish and chips. The chicken sandwich was decent. Also got the black and bleu bacon burger with the veggie patty instead. It was good. The solvang lager also hit the spot. Overall this is a solid option for lunch if you are in Solvang.

Stopped by for lunch while visiting Solvang with my family. Drinks and food were good! It was crowded since there was an event happening in town, but we still managed to grab a table outdoors. Order at the counter and your food is brought to you.

This place is non-descript yet just off the main park downtown, and an easy walk from most of the major hotels in town, or the central parking lot - plus lots of street parking as well. It seems rather small, with one area for bar seating and small tables, plus a larger dining area "next door" to the bar, but I like the bar ambiance, so it may be challenging on busy tourist days. Luckily, I travel on non-busy days and have always had a good seat. The ambiance is great, with a typical, colorfully decorated pub feel with TVs offering an invitation to relax and have a pint - or two! The menu is varied, and I had planned for what I wanted, but when the server/bartender/boss offered the daily special as an option, I quickly jumped at the chance. The special was a queso dip with house-made chips, and I had to try it! Sadly, I also ordered my usual, the Cobb salad. Sadly, because after the "appetizer" arrived, I quickly realized the full consequences of the saying "your eyes are bigger than your stomach!" The dip and chips were plentiful in both, and for me would have made a great meal on their own. But I was committed and managed to finish the salad. On my previous visit, I had the mac 'n cheese and the Cobb salad, along with a Guinness dark! That was sooo tasty as well! The food at this visit was great, and the service was as well. Sam, who is the owner, bartender, server, and jack-of-all-trades, is always friendly, professional, and efficient, no matter how busy it is, and this visit was the only one outside the kitchen. If you're in the area, give them a try! And leave room for dessert - I have yet to do that, but you can learn from my mistakes!

The spicy wings had great flavor--more on the spicy side than "hot," which honestly made them even better and more enjoyable. The Reuben with onion rings was done right--classic, satisfying, and the onion rings were perfectly cooked with a great crisp. The bread on the sandwich had the perfect crisp as well, which really brought it all together. And the standout was the spicy melt burger. My friend ordered it medium rare, and it came out perfectly medium rare--juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly as requested (which doesn't always happen, so that's worth noting). Everything was executed really well, and you can tell they take pride in the kitchen. Easy 5 stars. Would definitely come back.

Celebrating our nation's 250th birthday in beautiful Solvang!…read more We ate at Craft House four times during our visit--and for good reason! It is, in our opinion, the best restaurant in Solvang. Every meal was exceptional, and the service was consistently outstanding. From the moment we walked in, Daniel welcomed us with a warm smile that made us feel right at home. At our first breakfast, Taylor provided friendly, attentive service that set the tone for the rest of our visits. That evening, we enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer, beet & burrata salad, short rib grilled cheese and black tie burger. Every dish was absolutely delicious. On our second breakfast visit, Sandra took wonderful care of us. She is such an asset to Craft House--knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely welcoming. Sophia, who brought out our food several times, always greeted us with the biggest smile. You can tell she truly loves what she does. Lorenzo and Nora were also fantastic servers who helped make every visit memorable. Over four visits, we sampled several different entrées and breakfasts. The avocado toast and chorizo quesadilla were definite standouts, and every meal exceeded our expectations. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Craft House team for your incredible hospitality, exceptional service, and outstanding food. We can't wait to return!

It should be noted that at particularly busy times they will stop taking names for parties for an hour to an hour and a half until they get caught up. The staff members are engaging and efficient. It's difficult to recommend a specific dish because everything is good. On this particular occasion, the eggs in my eggs Benedict were over poached, but honestly out of a half dozen breakfasts, this is the only hiccup I've ever experienced. The buttermilk pancakes are very good, but if you've never tried them before, I recommend giving the Danish pancakes, a try; they're very flavorful. Unfortunately, my experience started off on the wrong foot. When my coffee arrived, I noticed what looked like lipstick on the rim of the cup. At first I thought it might just be a stain, but when I touched it, it smeared. Pretty gross, especially for a $4.50 cup of coffee that was very mediocre. The portion sizes were generous, but the food wasn't anything memorable. I ordered the Solvang Danish-style sausage with eggs, hash browns, and an English muffin. I did appreciate that the English muffin was buttered, but the sausage was underwhelming and didn't have anything special about it. My husband ordered Paula's Special with Danish pancakes and warm cinnamon apples. He usually loves pancakes, but he also thought they were just okay. I actually liked the thin Danish pancakes, but I'm not much of a sweets-for-breakfast person. The service also left something to be desired. I found it odd that I had to ask for a water refill instead of it being offered. When I asked for water, the server smiled and nodded but never brought any. I asked again, thinking maybe she hadn't heard me. She returned with a cup full of ice, so I had to ask a third time before I finally got water. Overall, while the restaurant is popular and serves large portions, I don't really understand the hype. Between the mediocre food, the lipstick on the coffee cup, and the inattentive service, it wasn't an experience I'd be eager to repeat.

I'd Gather Not One…read moreof Solvang's newest restaurants isn't known for its æbleskivers or Danishes, but rather for French-Asian fusion, and is led by Indonesian-born head chef and co-owner, Budi Kazali. They promise to bring you bold flavors using fresh seasonal ingredients in an elegant but approachable space. The Good: * Reservations via OpenTable™ * Free street and city lot parking nearby. * Dog-friendly outdoor dining * Right on the downtown strip in Solvang, next to our favorite bakery. * Nasi Goreng (Indonesian Fried Rice) was delicious and hit all the right notes. The fried chicken add-on was a different story, though... See below. * Caesar Salad had a delicious flavor, but Carissa found the salad to be a bit overdressed for her liking. I didn't mind it, but I like an obscene amount of dressing on my salads, so go figure? Salmon was a little undercooked for her liking, but again, I wouldn't mind it a bit pink. So, comme ci, comme ça. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Meh: * Not all the outdoor spaces are shaded/covered. * Prices are a bit absurd for certain items. Yeah, I know it's über-touristy Solvang, but jfc. $12-14 for a beer? And don't get me started on $12 for some of the blandest and most minuscule serving of fried chicken ever. * We arrived ten minutes early for our reservation, and the hostess seemed very annoyed that we were. In fact, she made us wait until it was time for our reservation to the very minute--despite the restaurant being at less than 10% capacity. * Service wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't say it was good, either. More on this below. The Ugly: * I ordered the Hazy IPA they had on tap, and when it arrived, I could tell it wasn't a particularly "hazy" Hazy IPA. But I figured some are better than others. For my second drink, I asked for the Clown Shoes IPA they had in a can. When the waitress returned with it, she admitted that the first beer she'd brought me was actually the same Clown Shoes IPA. Apparently, they'd run out of the Hazy IPA and decided to make the substitution without asking me. It's not a huge deal--I probably would have made the same substitution myself--but I definitely wouldn't have ordered a second one if I'd known it was the only IPA they had in-house. Like I said, it's not the end of the world, but for some reason, it just feels a little devious. Would they have made a substitution without asking a wine connoisseur? I would hope not, but now it kind of makes you wonder. Conclusion: Not a great experience here, from the hostess to the waitress to the food. I wish them luck.
