Best breakfast in Solavng. We came in on a Sunday around nine. You order at the register and then you get seated. Your food is brought to you. You get refills on your coffee and water from the servers. Food is delicious! I absolutely loved my omelette. It was huge too. I couldn't finish it and it still tasted good the next day. They have a great patio from the weather is nice. It is dog friendly.

They don't waste any time here. You order with the cashier, pay for your order and then you're seated. All the staff that came to our table were nice and happy. Your food arrives quickly. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the corned beef hash. Lived the crispy tots! They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoors needs a bit of a cleaning - but overall we enjoyed our breakfast and appreciated the efficiency with a smile.

Corned Beef Hash ($16.50)

Pretty solid breakfast for a reasonable price, although nothing worth waiting in line for. My mom and I shared their signature danish pancakes and a corned beef hash. The pancakes were reminiscent of a mix between a crepe and pancake with a subtle sweet eggy flavor. I enjoyed that it wasn't supper dense or overly sweet. Simple and plain. We also liked the corned beef hash but the portion for it wasn't great. Tater tots and bread helped to fill us up. We got here around 10:45AM and waited in line until around 11AM to order at the front, then got seated immediately after. Food came out at 11:15AM. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a very homey cozy looking spot that looks like a neighborhood favorite.

I was in town for the half marathon and we stopped here after but breakfast. We waited 40 mins for a table but once seated our food was out super fast! Everything was delicious. I got the chilaquiles half and half on the salsa.

My sister and I came here for breakfast. It did not disappoint. Great car of breakfast. I ordered chilaquiles with a Bellini and my sister had a veggie omelette with orange juice. I have to say my favorite was the beans. They were so flavorful, a nice surprise from never having to notice beans tasting so great. You come in order and pay. Then they will give you a number. The drinks and food came quick. Everything was good. This was one of my sister's favorite places to eat. Service was great. They came often to check, all staff were youngsters truly working. The ambiance is very cool. At the entrance there's several napkin drawings. So many talented artists. Some of my favorites were the Solvang town and yoda. Plenty of table and booth seating inside. There's also outdoor seating.

Upon arrival in Solvang on a a Sunday afternoon, we were in desperate need of food and turned to Brekkies by Chomp to fill that need. It seemed only right and natural to order the Danish pancakes, with a side of Danish sausage. The Danish pancakes are thin, kind of in between a crepe and an American pancake. These had a slight lemon flavor and were sprinkled with powdered sugar. The sausage was a larger link type sausage with a mild flavor. Enjoyed the meal and it was definitely filling. It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed eating outdoors. The surroundings are pretty stark/no-frills but, who needs frills when the food speaks for itself.

Brekkies by Chomp is a solid breakfast spot in Solvang for classic comfort food. We tried two pancake styles -- a fluffy American pancake and a Danish-style one that was thin like a crêpe with crispy edges and dusted with powdered sugar. The Danish pancake was the standout. The rest of the plate hit the spot too: soft scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and a juicy sausage, plus fresh orange juice and chocolate milk. Service was friendly. Cozy, homey ambiance and a great place to start the day.

This casual yet colorful cafe is located on the the mission drive, just before some other famous eateries. It is walking distance from a couple of parking lots, and is not very far away. On a nice sunny day, the colorful vibes of the restaurant were a delight. The restaurant has an order station inside, where you can place the order. Order is then brought to your table. The staff was very sweet and helpful, and often stopped by to check in if we needed anything else. They were super warm, and cheerful which made the experience all the more pleasant. We ordered the crab cake benedict, and the spicy & hot omlette. The crab cake benedict was delicious, the crab cake however, was slightly thin and light on meat, but that was probably the only negative. The spicy & hot omlette did every bit justice to its name, with the spicy ranchero sauce providing a nice heat. Both the orders came with a side of tater tots which was probably I couldnt give 5 stars, would have liked the option to chose a side other than the tots. The coffee was also delicious from a local roaster, which was a medium roast, and had a nice aroma to the brew.

I can't say enough about this lunch spot. The employees are top notch! The food was good! After sitting in a car for 4 hours and not being able to find parking in their lot (cause people parked there that should not have and didn't go to the businesses!) we parked at the hotel and walked over. Employees could tell I was burnt out. They were so kind and friendly. Nutella toast was good, oatmeal had gorgeous presentation and worth the price. Brown sugar, almond slices, milk, raisins: yum! Monte Cristo was also decent. This is the one of the only places I would return to Solvang for! I wish I had left a larger tip as I didn't not know how serve worked there.

My husband loooved his protein waffle so much that he said it's the best brunch restaurant ever. It's perfect for every gym goer. The bulking top up for $4 is great addition to the waffle. Fluffy, crispy on the outside and so flavourful every bite was delicious. My eggs Benedict was average. Mild and lacked flavor We got the danish crepe for the baby but he didn't eat it. It's soft and fluffy. Tater tots really crispy and yummy. Love them. Service is super quick Cute ambiance and vibe. The place is packed with long lines. Shows how good they are.

Our quest for breakfast that morning led us to this place called Brekkies, and honestly, how could we resist with a name like that ? Sure, the line was practically a mile long, but that just meant more time to go back and forth over the menu. You know how it goes--total menu-panic as you inch closer to the front, trying to make the impossible choice. Plus, they had this awesome board covered in napkin art from other hungry souls, which was a total vibe. So you order first, then wait to be seated. Not my fave setup, but hey, that's the way of the world these days, right? Since I knew a pastry binge was in my near future, I decided to go for something healthy to balance things out. Portions are filling. Servers are beyond super busy, so make sure you know everything you will need upfront and let them know because it might be a while before they return.

Vegetarian Omelet: It was okay, not the best but their tots are really yummy! The crispiest I've ever had!

Came here for brunch before heading back to LA! At 12:30 there was a line so we waited and it wasn't to bad. We had a chance to browse their the menu and had an idea of what we wanted. As a vegetarian, their menu has quite a bit of items that we can pick from! We ended up deciding on the Danish pancakes (full stack), veggie omelets, and the vegetarian chorizo burrito. All of this about $46ish to $50 and being from LA I thought our food was overpriced! We were able to sit outdoors and this place was very pet-friendly (also helped that my 2 dogs were in a stroller so no one had to trip over them) Clean and airy - perfect! But a bit hot! The amount is get is quite a bit or was it the big plates that played tricks on my eyes? Food came out pretty quick which I can appreciate. I was so excited to try this place because of the reviews but Solvang is such a hit or miss when it comes to food now. Our food was good but it could be better... Everything was a bit bland but the strawberry and blueberries on the pancakes were so good and sweet! The blueberries looked HUGE! Danish Pancakes: I feel a short stack (2 pancakes) would've been enough, a full stack was just one more pancake but there wasn't anything that really stood out to me, tasted normal. But the strawberries and blueberries were the highlight! Veggie omelet: This came with tater tots and WOW they were so crispy and so good! The omelet on the other hand could've used more seasoning or cheese to bring a more full bodied flavor Vegetarian Chorizo burrito: Coming from LA we have really good vegetarian burritos with so much flavor and thick size! Here the burrito was decently sized but mostly tortilla than filling. Eh - not the worst but not the best Overall it was an okay experience here, wished the food had more flavor or a chance to really stand out. There's literally so many pancake houses around here! So many people kept walking by with Dominos and I kept thinking "damn - should've went to Dominos" !

This was a new spot for us in Solvang. I remember seeing it plenty of time walking by and never had the chance to try it out. Well, there's a first for everything. The cute outdoor patio was what caught our eyes. Cute garden feel that looks out to the road. Perfect for a meal and people watching. Restaurant is pet friendly so it's perfect for the little pooch. You order at the counter. There's menu before walk in. Inside seating is also available as well as bar seating. Bar available but I believe it's limited on drinks. After you order, it's open seating. Menu, a good selection for breakfast as that's what we came for. Big plus, they had tater tots which I love. Side order to some of the dishes and of course you need an extra order. Fooycame out pretty fast which is nice. There was a line starting to form when we arrived which was great that we were there early. We ordered a couple of the omelette as well as the French toast. Food was great. A good way to start the morning. Coffees were constantly refilled which was nice. Overall, it's a cute cafe/restaurant in the heart of Solvang. Great patio dining perfect for people watching. The staffs were all very friendly and sweet. Refill was always constant which is good. Food was great and everything was nice. Glad we found a new spot.

The restaurant slowly started filling up more and more after we got there so glad we arrived when we did! They do not take reservations so it is first come, first served. We ordered the Kids Orecchiette with Butter, Lil McFeast Burger and the Solvang Hot Chicken. We got some drinks on the side as well including the Fresh Squeezed Lemonade which my daughter was obsessed with. I really enjoyed the food - it was fresh and well seasoned throughout. I asked for less spice on my Hot Chicken, but it was still spicy and tasty! Overall, it was a good meal, not my favorite of the trip, but still worth checking out for sure! Service was also spot on and she gave great recommendations! We would definitely give them another shot next time we're in Solvang! To Christian's credit, he did apologize when he arrived, but throughout dinner the service continued to fall short. He would stop by asking if everything was okay while our cups sat empty, then walk away without offering refills. We had to specifically ask for water and drink refills. At the end of the meal, we also weren't asked about dessert or whether we needed anything else. We had to ask for the check and he pulled out of his vest. We started with delicious cold, crisp martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives and a bowl of water for our pup. Our server (Chelsea B?) was so fun and friendly! We then had maybe the best wedge salad we've ever had! I think the lettuce was cut to, but not thru, the base, and opened up, with toppings inside. Roasted beet cubes, bacon, blue cheese and shallots, plus cherry tomatoes, hard boiled egg quarters and fried shallots garnish. It was incredible. I think they should call it "More than a Wedge." We also had the Ahi crudo, which had a delicious sauce and thinly sliced peppers. I wasn't too hungry, so had the French onion soup as my main course. So, it definitely didn't taste anything like French onion soup! It looked like it, and it was definitely cooked down onions but the flavor wasn't anything like I'd expect. However, it was really delicious and satisfied my craving for something warm & cheesy. So if you go in knowing that, I think you'll enjoy it. I don't like lamb, so my husband often gets it when we go out. When he took his first bite, I could tell he enjoyed it. He said it was some of the best lamb he's had and he's had a lot! It's à la carte, but did come with a tiny bit of salad and a roasted pepper which he thought was perfect. We ordered the Kids Bolognese Pasta which our daughter loved - I wish my husband and I could have said the same thing about what we ordered. I did enjoy the French Onion Soup the best, but we have made much better artichokes at home and the skirt steak was barely seasoned.
