Food menu. I'm thinking beef medallions. Stay tuned for review, new spot.

My first time here and from what I understand they opened 2 days ago along with the hotel. Had a couple solid cocktails from the bar, outstanding service from the staff and the food was on point. Totally would come back...and probably get the beef medallions again. Tender and delicious, done just and ordered. They have a really nice outdoor seating area with multiple fire pits, cornhole and giant connect 4 for the kids, NFL total access on one of the TV's out here for the parents and a nice, hip atmosphere. Glad I don't have to walk far after my meal, I'm probably having a second cocktail. Great service from Jessica - shout out. See you on the coast! Cali rollin'

The drinks were not only weak, but a few of ours were nearly undrinkable. The Traveler's Tai tasted like straight up lime juice and mint. Maybe that's why the "rum" was in quotations on the menu. Definitely way overpriced at $15 for what you get. The waiter also only stopped by at our table to take our order, and drop off our drinks. He went to the tables around us multiple times to make sure they were okay, see if they wanted another round, etc., but completely ignored us the rest of the night. After waiting around for 30 minutes for him to come over with the check, our table started taking bets on how many minutes it would take for him to come back around. 30 minutes after we placed that bet (so after about an hour of waiting), we gave up and just went to the front to pay. When the waiter asked us if everything was okay, and we told him our drinks weren't that great, he said, "Oh. We haven't heard that in a while." We weren't really expecting an apology, but I feel he could've dealt with that better. In all, really wouldn't come here again and definitely wouldn't come with guests. If you're looking for a cool vibey place with good drinks, I recommend anywhere else in town.

The last time we dined it was too cold to sit outside. We were hoping to sit outside this time, but the wind suddenly kicked up, so inside we went (again). We were seated by the front window which at least gave us some sun. :) We ordered two favorite items -- The Spicy Pig and Prime Rib Dip. Our daughter chose the Truffle Gnocchi which was a standout with that fantastic sauce, pillowy spinach gnocchi, artichokes and garnish of fried spinach. We decided to try the Burrata & Greens to share. Everything was delicious -- no complaints! Fresh, flavorful and so, so satisfying! Ryan was our wonderful server -- perfectly friendly and attentive. It was another wonderful experience. We look forward to next time!

The steak was super juicy with a delicious limey chimichurri sauce. The only thing is, we ordered medium rare and I'd say it was closer to a medium, but the fact that it was still juicy made it not a big deal. The duck fat potatoes on the side were an absolute treat. Crispy and flavorful on the outside with a tender interior. Would order the potatoes alone. Despite the food being good, I think it's extremely overpriced at $48. Quality and portion wise the entree reflects a maximum of $35 I would say .The service was excellent! Kind host that helped open our door and picked a disability friendly table. Our server was also super nice.

Kelly seemed more focused on catering to a small group of guys in cowboy hats than maintaining the vibe that actually makes this spot stand out. Instead of reading the room, she and her May 1st bartender colleague locked into a single stream of country music that clearly wasn't resonating with most of the crowd. That's really the frustrating part, it wasn't just a music choice, it was the complete lack of awareness or willingness to adjust. People weren't being heard, requests were ignored, and the whole "records" concept felt pointless when it was treated so rigidly. If you're going to lean into vinyl as part of the experience, it should feel curated, responsive, and a little bit special, not like someone just putting on their personal playlist and tuning everyone else out. The drinks were genuinely great, which makes the situation even more disappointing. The potential is clearly there, but the execution on the atmosphere just didn't match. If the records are going to stay, they should actually be used to enhance the environment, not limit it. Otherwise, it might be better to ditch the gimmick entirely rather than let it drag down what could be an otherwise standout spot.

Coast Range seemed to check all the boxes, and they had an available reservation on the patio. We got (for us) the perfect table, which was a small area next to the entrance. Actually only our table, which was great for containing our puppy, plus a heat lamp and service over the pony wall which worked out great! We started with delicious cold, crisp martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives and a bowl of water for our pup. Our server (Chelsea B?) was so fun and friendly! We then had maybe the best wedge salad we've ever had! I think the lettuce was cut to, but not thru, the base, and opened up, with toppings inside. Roasted beet cubes, bacon, blue cheese and shallots, plus cherry tomatoes, hard boiled egg quarters and fried shallots garnish. It was incredible. I think they should call it "More than a Wedge." We also had the Ahi crudo, which had a delicious sauce and thinly sliced peppers. I wasn't too hungry, so had the French onion soup as my main course. So, it definitely didn't taste anything like French onion soup! It looked like it, and it was definitely cooked down onions but the flavor wasn't anything like I'd expect. However, it was really delicious and satisfied my craving for something warm & cheesy. So if you go in knowing that, I think you'll enjoy it. I don't like lamb, so my husband often gets it when we go out. When he took his first bite, I could tell he enjoyed it. He said it was some of the best lamb he's had and he's had a lot! It's à la carte, but did come with a tiny bit of salad and a roasted pepper which he thought was perfect. Since I was having the soup we didn't order a vegetable side, which we normally would, but this vegetable garnish worked perfectly for him. Definitely recommended!

We were seated right away as we had arrived a few minutes after they opened. The inside was dark, but cozy. For drinks, I ordered the Vaquero Martini which was pretty good and my husband ordered an Old Fashioned - we thought it was very strange that it came in a glass with a bunch of ice instead of a giant cube or sphere. The food items were a bit pricy so my husband and I decided to split some appetizers - Artichokes, French Onion Soup and the Skirt Steak. We ordered the Kids Bolognese Pasta which our daughter loved - I wish my husband and I could have said the same thing about what we ordered. I did enjoy the French Onion Soup the best, but we have made much better artichokes at home and the skirt steak was barely seasoned. Overall, staff were very friendly, but the food was not worth the price point at all in our opinion. Everything was honestly mid - we had high hopes considering all of the Michelin Star recognitions. I know we only ordered appetizers, but we thought it would have given us a little taste of everything. I'm not sure if we came on an off day, but if we're ever in Solvang again, Coast Range will not be a restaurant we rush to unfortunately.
