I rarely bother to review chain restaurants, because they're pretty predictable. However, the service at this Denny's blew me away! All around us, the service industry is hurting, everything is slow, things are unpredictable, and shortages affect our orders. We've had to lower our expectations. Then, I go into this Denny's, and get the fastest, friendliest service EVER from the manager Billy who was staying late to cover for a server who had a health emergency. I wish I'd known that before I tipped only a little above average on what was already a cheap order. This experience at Denny's brought back what dining out should be like, being able to relax and be almost pampered by attentive wait staff, rather than being another stop that a stressed out server is running around to check on, making you the customer feel like a burden. So if you want to relax and enjoy what you used to enjoy about fine dining, consider breakfast for dinner the newest trend or something like that, and go to Denny's to indulge and be indulged! read more

This dude is the worst manager ever. RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE He told every person it was a 20 minute wait. Even when it was more like 45 minutes. As i waited for a table he mever helped his staff with and thing. No refills for customers nor help with expediting of food. He was rude to the staff as well. Ok so it's Denny's. Typical Denny's food but what sets this Denny's apart is the bad service. Nothing like ordering rye bread and getting white and the server saying " that's the closest you'll get to rye bread". I looked around and I thought I was on hidden camera show. Then you had the guy on the corner booth with his family get up and go to the hostess booth screaming for the server. The server comes over and he doesn't have a pen so it goes to look for his pen. Your stereotypical Denny's. I came around the graveyard shift and our server, Samantha, was awesome! Shout out to her for giving great service at 12 AM. Seriously great person. Ordered all you can eat pancakes, quesadillas, Sirachi Burger, and country fried steak (don't worry, wasn't all for me). Was A-OKAY food. Nothing bad, nothing spectacular. You come here for a sit-down, quick, and easy grub. The all-you-can-eat pancakes for $4 is really good deal. I love their value menu. Their theme inside is a weird 70's/80's vibe and they have diner seats with a jukebox you have to pay $1 for each song. I haven't been to a Denny's with that theme yet so that was interesting. Denny's has been around for very long time. Some stores are ok, other better. Today our experience at this store was excellent serving great American confort food. Server was attentive and courteous. Not only is this place cool to look at, right from the parking lot, the food and PEOPLE are amazing. My husband is a coffee drinker and he never saw the bottom of his cup. I have been to a lot of Dennys and wow they blew me away. We came here on Sunday morning and the food was fantastic. Our waitress Amanda R. was super nice and attentive. My wife usually groans when I suggest Denny's because if the piss poor service and the food quality sucks. Not this one it was the BEST Dennys restaurant I have ever been to. Clean, fast, and the food was cooked perfectly and presentable. Fantastic. If we ever came back to Austin I will try it again and hope the service hasn't slipped. Server placed my order, and forgot about me. When I received my meal I informed her that their were no " extras" that were ordered. She Did not even try to make it right. The food was mediocre at best. When I went to pay my bill, the charges for the extras were still on my receipt. She proceeded to argue with me about not being able to take the charges off. Despite appearing short staffed, Kelly, our server, maintained her composure and professionalism which was evident as she spoke kindly to her fellow staff. I pretty much hate eating at highway, chain restaurants but this Denny's was FAR better than any I've tried in the past. All our food was tasty, fresh, and delivered with a smile.
