From the cute ambiance to the warm welcome from our friendly hostess, everything was wonderful. Austin was our server, and he was absolutely the best! He was friendly, efficient, and attentive throughout our entire meal--even with our 2-year-old daughter, who would not stop talking to him. Our family ordered the kids' chocolate chip pancakes, lobster omelette with potatoes, eggs Benedict, apple fritter French toast, and biscuits and gravy. Just WOW! I think we've just discovered our new favorite brunch spot! Today was my turn to pick where we'd go, and I wanted to find a place that serves chicken and waffles. I checked out Yelp and found The Broken Egg Café -- the pictures looked fantastic. When we arrived, the wait was only about 25 minutes, which wasn't too bad. I noticed they offer a half order of chicken and waffles with different sides, so I decided to try that along with a side of gumbo. I also got a side of loaded grits. The gumbo was absolutely delicious -- I wish I'd ordered a full bowl because it was so flavorful and perfectly balanced. I am extremely disappointed with how this location packed my order. PLEASE SEAL THE BAG COMPLETELY! Twisting the handles together is NOT a secure way to seal a food order. It leaves an opening large enough for someone to put their hand inside and remove or access items when the handles are untwisted. A third staple in the middle of the bag, instead of twisting the handles, would be a much more secure and appropriate way to seal the order. I am particularly concerned because the bag I received looked as though the handles had been retwisted, and one of the Brown Sugar & Sage Sausages in my order LOOKED LIKE SOMEONE HAD TAKEN A BITE OUT OF IT! That is extremely disturbing and raises a serious food-safety concern. I should not have to wonder whether someone had access to my food before I received it. There was also no butter or jelly included with this order, even though those condiments were included with my order TWO DAYS AGO for the English muffin that came with the Sunrise Spinach Scrambler. If these items are supposed to accompany the meal, they should be included consistently. For the prices being charged, I expect my food to be properly packaged, securely sealed, and delivered complete. This is not an unreasonable expectation. Food should NEVER arrive in packaging that appears to have been opened or tampered with, and there should be consistency in the items included with an order. Please address the packaging issue with the staff immediately. I also expect this order to be reviewed because of the concern that one of the sausages may have been accessed or bitten before I received it. I've tried this restaurant 3 times and am ready to review the food. First order (pickup): Shrimp and grits - NOPE... it was a sloppy soggy mess. Made with more gravy than actual shrimp and grits. Definitely would NOT order this again. The beignets were hard and dry and the caramel latte had NO taste or sweetness to it AT ALL, $58 wasted. Plus they charged me twice. Second order (delivery): The sunrise spinach scrambler was delicious. The sage sausage was delicious. The country potatoes were horrible... overcooked and dry. Regular grits were regular, nothing spectacular but at least they were seasoned. Condiments included in the bag. Everything was fresh and delicious. Third order (delivery): The sunrise Spinach Scrambler was just ok this time around. The gouda grits were ok, but really sure the $4.54 upcharge is worth it. The food wasn't hot and it was a lot of wetness in container. There were no condiments in the bag. The sausage looked tampered with cause the bag wasn't sealed properly. The portion sizes were decent for orders two and three, not order one since it was mostly gravy as you can see by the posted pictures. I recently stopped by A Broken Egg Cafe for brunch, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. As soon as I walked in, the atmosphere stood out--it was warm, nicely decorated, and had that relaxed brunch vibe that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. Our waitress, Shayla, truly made the visit special. Her customer service was top-notch--she was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond by bringing us complimentary biscuit beignets while we were still deciding what to order. Those were absolutely fantastic--light, sweet, and a great way to start the meal. For my main dish, I ordered the eggs Benedict. It was good, but not the most flavorful in my opinion. That said, it was only my second time trying eggs Benedict, so my expectations might not be fully dialed in yet. I also had a side of buttermilk pancakes, and those definitely stole the show--soft, fluffy, and everything you'd want in a perfect pancake, the breakfast potatoes on the side were also a great addition to my meal who doesn't love potatoes. I was in the area for work and looking for a relatively local place. Another Broken Egg is a chain, yes, but only in the sense that they have other locations in Texas. This trait is both an upside to the local vibe and quality, but a detriment that it is so far from where I live. Because I would definitely be a regular. There were lots of folks waiting on this Saturday morning as I had time to kill before flying home, after visiting the area for work. But, the host station handled everything well, quickly acknowledged people coming in, communicated clearly, and added folks to a text-based notification system. I opted to wait for the bar area and it proved to be faster. The bar staff were phenomenal, friendly, energetic and perfectly attentive. It's a modern cafe in a "strip mall" shopping area in a sense, but still, worth visiting. For the food, I had the coffee. OMG great Colombian coffee, so good. I drank it black - it needed no help. Adding cream or sugar would be an insult. And it was served in a beautiful stoneware mug. I ended up buying one as a souvenir ($23 at the time of this post). I also had the lobster brie omelette. I wasn't 100% on it by the name, but wow - it was amazing. The lobster was just right, it blended with the brie very well, and the eggs and other additions made a beautiful omelette ensemble that hit the spot. read more

Great choice for brunch! Lots of good options on their menu but the one that stuck out to us was the cinnamon roll french toast! That was actually the deciding factor on why we chose Another Broken Egg Cafe. Wasn't too busy on a Friday morning around 11ish AM and was a pretty full restaurant. The service was good & the food came out pretty fast. We ordered the french toast (a la carte) mentioned earlier [$13.49] & Eggs Benedict [$14.99] but we subbed the english muffin for the biscuit cause I wanted to try it. The biscuit was really fluffy and good. Love a good biscuit! The hollandaise was not really hollandaise. It's not the yellow sauce we know and love. It tasted more like light gravy which we were surprised by BUT didn't hate. I actually really enjoyed it as it was a new twist on the classic Eggs Benny. Mmm the french toast was the best I've had in a while. Definitely didn't need syrup, maybe it already had some, IDK. It came w/whipped cream and some fresh berries that complimented the sweetness of the french toast! Chef's Kiss! The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of parking in the square full of restaurants. It only got four stars because there was nothing really that blew me away where it warrants a 5/5 rating. I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants but this one gets it right. While I come for the delicious omelettes I'm obsessed with the cookie dough waffle. It use to be seasonal but it looks like it's coming to stay (fingers crossed). I love to try new things so the apple fritter French toast was a must and who doesn't love loaded grits? While the service was excellent the communication from table to kitchen could use some work. The potatoes came hot and fresh but they were not seasoned as stated on the menu. This restaurant is close to one of my work locations and I often come with colleagues for brunch/early lunch. They can get pretty busy but we always manage to get seated without too much of a wait. The menu is primarily comfort food with some healthy choices as well (salads, half sandwiches, etc.). I think overall the food is good and is comparable to a regional or local chain type of deal. Think Denny's but better. I guess what I am saying is it's a good place for office dwellers to hit up. I will definitely keep going back with co-workers. We've been told by many that Another Broken Egg Cafe would be a strong contender for a go to chain breakfast spot. We've also been told the Tooth Fairy was real. Now we just think people are liars. Another Broken Egg is a name fitting for just another boring experience. Parking was easy to find, although the spaces are pretty small. We put ourselves on the waitlist and waited close to 10 minutes before we were able to be seated. The restaurant doesn't really have any inspiring decor, at least nothing gimmicky like other spots. The service was pretty slow for a half full restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Bathrooms were moderately clean as well. As for the food, it was largely uninspiring, even for breakfast. We ordered the French toast with sides of bacon and eggs and the supreme omelette with a side of potatoes and toast. The French toast was very average, something you could find an equal pretty much anywhere. Bacon was very much the same, eggs are just eggs. For the supreme omelette every bite was different, some good some really bad. The bites with mushroom were notably not good as the texture just felt off. All around a big swing in a miss with the most redeeming thing being the size of the plates we ordered. By the end of our trip to Another Broken Egg Cafe we felt very underwhelmed by things, particularly the food which is pretty important considering it's a restaurant. This is by no means a bad restaurant but certainly one we would not recommend going to. read more

There's gonna be a long wait on the weekends, so best to join the waitlist here on Yelp before arriving. I did and got a table within 5 minutes from walking in. Just make sure you walk in within 10 minutes of your estimate wait time. The options are plenty and all make it difficult to decide. They serve Simply juices, and it's one of my favorites, so I got the Apple. Then once I saw chorizo on the menu, I had to order the Southwest Scrambler served with flour tortillas. Got a coffee and was so happy it was delicious (had 2.5 cups total during my breakfast) and loved the mug it came in. Got the hashbrown benedict with potatoes and a side of crispy bacon. This brunch restaurant is so popular that it is impossible to go during peak hours without a decent wait. The first time we tried to come here, we got in line online in advance, but the wait time at the restaurant was still an hour. When we asked the hostess, we learned that the online feature does not actually put you in line, but it guarantees you a table before the restaurant closes. So basically, there is no point in this online feature unless you are fine with waiting a few hours. I ordered the apple fritter french toast, which came with eggs and my choice of side. I opted for the breakfast potatoes, which were very flavourful and densely seasoned. The french toast was very sweet, and I enjoyed it. I didn't need maple syrup as the apple sauce was strong and syrupy. My friend ordered the huevos rancheros, and he did not like the large tortilla chips as they were difficult to eat. His side of fruit was a good assortment. My biggest grievance about this restaurant is that the parking spaces are SO small.
