I came here for Sunday brunch with friends, and it was absolutely packed! While waiting, we did some shopping, but the wait still felt pretty long. I arrived at 11:30 and didn't leave until 2:30. We ordered a few mocktails, but they were overly sweet. The brunch dishes were just ok--I'm always a fan of cheese grits. The shrimp and grits were a crowd favorite and tasted amazing. But the highlight? The biscuit beignets--they were incredible! I'd definitely come back just for those. read more

We were really looking forward to going here because of all the great reviews, but I was unimpressed. I never write bad reviews but the hype is not real. Best thing we liked was the waffles, and the strawberry French toast. The chicken was super dry. I ordered the crab cake egg Benedict with gumbo on the side. The egg was almost hard boiled and the gumbo was super runny. The potatoes tasted like it was reheated then recooked. Our waiter gave us the check before my family still were eating half their meal. Definitely not coming here again. read more

Delicious! The wait wasn't too bad for a Saturday, just before noon. About 25 min for a table of two. The hostess, however, could stand for a refresher on greeting customers. She didn't. We stood waiting, with a line forming behind us and she was constantly walking back and forth without ever saying a word to anyone. Thankfully, another worker came and handled that part of the experience. So much on the menu sounded amazing. It was pretty hard to narrow down, but I spent my 25 min wait deciding on exactly what to order. Once we were called to a table, it took a sec for our waitress to find her way to us, but she was friendly & very helpful. The restaurant was busy, but I would say the food arrived in a timely manner. I wasn't paying too much attention to the clock though.. I was too busy checking out the food being delivered to other patrons. Everything looked & smelled mouthwatering.. I ordered the Lobster & Brie omelette with "City grits" & orange juice. Honestly, it was better than I expected. My companion ordered the shrimp & grits with a side of eggs & bacon. We both cleaned our plates & the orange juice tasted so fresh. I'll start with why I docked a star. No matter when you join their wait list, you will always be waiting longer. We went on Sunday around 12pm. Joined the waitlist in advance and was told it would be a 45 min wait. It took till 1:20 for us to be seated. That's frustrating. Outside of that, big fan of the place. Lots of fun drink options (boozy coffee included), lots of breakfast, brunch, and lunch items. And they have something for every one! read more

I've come to learn I'm not the biggest brunch person. Show up, wait an hour, get seated and wait another hour for food, our beignets don't show up and we get them an hour after asking again (though they were tacked on for free which was really nice of them!). The food was alright; I got hash brown eggs Benedict, and it was... well, sustenance. I got a Paloma which was also okay. Definitely not somewhere I would wait an hour for. Our server was extremely nice, so props to him! read more

A delightful breakfast was certainly had! Hot chocolate is a must get here. I had a seasonal item - the brunch jambalaya. I was absolutely not disappointed. I also have a sweet tooth, so I also had the cinnamon roll french toast and it was the perfect touch. If you are a Cinnabon fan, this is for you! Waited a bit to receive water, but the place is clean and staff is friendly. read more

I can't say enough about this place -- specifically the Highland/ACC location. The service is attentive and warm. The seating is cozy without feeling cramped. The food is consistently delicious. The waffle had just enough crunch and cloud -- fluffy with texture. The strawberries take away the need for much syrup. Eggs & sausage... just a solid breakfast. I do recommend the City grits. They are flavor packed. read more

The black coffee here was delicious! I enjoyed a breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, a waffle, and coffee. The waitress was also the bar tender, but that didn't keep her from offering fast service. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the potatoes. They weren't very seasoned, or at least the season didn't stick. Lots of it ended up at the bottom of the bowl. read more

We had high expectations for this place based on the reviews. Unfortunately it didn't even come close to being good. The rest itself is nice. The staff are working their tails off with so many customers. They were non stop and did a great job of taking care of the patrons. I like the two choices of coffee but was surprised no cappuccino options. I had the English muffin poached eggs and fried potatoes. When I say it was bad, it was bad. The potatoes were not fresh but tasted like frozen potatoes that were just heated up. They were awful. The English muffin had the potential to be good but it was served basically raw and unbuttered. I waited almost 10 minutes to get butter and by then the barely warm muffin was cold and nasty. My poached eggs were served warm. They were ok. The beignets were mid as best. My husband said the same thing for his breakfast. We both couldn't get over how highly rated it is when it was so terrible for us. I would definitely recommend other places over this one. read more

This place was fun to go to. If you're into cocktails, definitely come here, they have a very wide selection of spiked coffees, champagne, and other options. The ambiance was packed. We sat two feet away from another table...I'd come at another time next visit. The food was trendy and was indulgent. I got the lobster hash and it was too much going on. Me and my mother were taking a trip to Austin Tx to see Moulin Rouge when my mother suggested we go to Another Broken Egg Cafe because I had never been! When we arrived we were served by Carolina who was an absolute sweetheart who served us our food and drinks. I ordered the buttermilk pancakes and my amazing wonderful Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious mother the apple fritter French toast. We both loved the food and thought of the wonderful service Caroline even talked to us and asked us why we were in Austin she was so sweet and kind and honest too! This place gets PACKED. I woke up on a Sunday and put myself on the waitlist (you can add yourself to the waitlist on their website) it took about an 1hr 30min (so literally the time it took me to get ready and head that way). We got seated fairly quickly when we got there, despite all the commotion up front. This restaurant is fairly small considering it's so popular. We started with a strawberry st.germain mimosa pitcher, which really disappointed me. The pitcher was SMALL. For $25, that pitcher could've at least been filled to the 1L mark. It was good but honestly I didn't taste much of the alcohol, which is disappointing because it's so hard to find a place that has decent drinks and brunch food! But anyways, yeah just keep that in mind because I was shook/in disbelief really. I decided to go with the lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes, I know probably a bit interesting, but honestly was pretty good. The pancakes (3 pancakes) were really dense and had a decent amount of blueberries on top and in between the pancakes. I would start off with the goat cheese to the side, just in case you don't vibe with it. I started small and eventually added more and more, but not too much. Paired very well with the lemon pancakes and blueberries. The lunch duo was good, typical chicken salad sandwich, the gumbo could've had a spicy kick to it, it was good but not delicious. Food was meh. Hollandaise sauce seem like it was probably out of a packet or something. It was really gross. Off taste. The grits were not good. The only thing that was hot was the bland grits, but the crabs Benedict was not, Ice cold like they forgot to bring it out. We both ordered the same thing so it's not like there was a timing difference. The kitchen itself decided to turn up some loud music while we were there and it was overwhelming and fighting the music in the restaurant. So that pretty much ruined the whole deal I won't be back and I don't recommend you going there and whoever owns this place needs to take the music out of the kitchen. I've never heard such boom base from a kitchen in my life. this is a first time thing for me won't be back. Waste of time and a disappointment when we wanted something really nice for the holidays. This place has gone off the rails. read more

Service was ok, but food took a while to come and you have to ask for butter for your pancakes and toast. I thought that would be pretty obvious as a need. First bottle of syrup was watery, it was very weird. We got another bottle and it was definitely completely different. Everything was flavorful and hot and some of the best pancakes I ever had. Giving two stars for the meal I ordered. Everything else was good. I'd asked about the lobster omelet with grits that I'd seen a photo of on yelp (not the Brie lobster omelet) and the waitress said I was thinking of the shrimp and grits. When she brought the plate it looks different than what I'd seen. Could have been the same. She said it was a top favorite. It was NOT good. SUPER OILY, not much shrimp (tried to pick them out of the mess and ate only those.) I didn't take but a a few small bites overall and left the bowl and my stomach was hurting the rest of the afternoon. Even threw up at my office. Anyway, stick to omelets and such. First time eating at this restaurant on 11/29/2025. We saw this place had great reviews on Yelp and google; not sure who's writing these reviews. The wait time was 35-45 minutes, and we were seated outside during cold/rainy weather. The waitress took so long to come to us that we ordered drinks and food all at once because we had so much time to sit and wait. I got the cinnamon roll French toast, eggs, and chicken sausage. The French toast was dry as ever and smothered in unnecessary berries. The eggs were orange, not yellow, ORANGE; and the chicken sausage tasted like hot dogs with maple syrup. My boyfriend ordered cookie dough waffles, eggs, and bacon. The cookie dough was grainy like sand; his bacon was cold; the waffle was really the only edible thing. Unfortunately, the establishment had issues with their "water system" and were not able to make any hot coffee drinks for us for our 0700 breakfast!. Then, they got my friend's order wrong and it took another 20 minutes to make waffles. The food was amazing I wish I had a picture ! But the HasBrown Egg Benedict was phenomenal to say the least. They are dog friendly and do offer an outdoor patio for the dogs. However when me and my family went it took over an hour to have us seated granted it was "busy" but we kept getting calls saying we were next. While waiting we were noticing people getting seated before us. Finally after a long hour we were seated but separately ! Half of us on one table and half on another table. read more

Had to stop in before my flight back to California... As we all know, there are far too many breakfast joints all over Austin, but if you want to see, taste, watch the sweet symphony of service in motion. The only place to go is the Broken Egg Cafe. I'm so so happy that there is a new Another Broken Egg location here at the Linc. First and foremost, go to their website and get on the waitlist BEFORE you head over as the wait can get ridiculous. Don't let that dissuade you though; the extra effort is totes worth it. I have had their spiked coffee, which are delicious. My go to brunch drink though is their blueberry lemonade margarita. Easy to drink, not too sweet, perfectly balanced flavors. You can't go wrong with their omelettes. My fav is the lobster brie. Also also, their eggs Benedict dishes are incredible. They have 4-5 seasonal dishes and right now they have a chicken fried steak eggs Benedict. This is my favorite brunch spot in Austin. Oh oh oh, and some of the friendliest, most attentive staff ever. read more

Food: I ordered Omeller and coffee. It is always good..I think they put too much oil or butter because it was greasy. Still - good ok flavor. Service: It was Sunday at 11 am. It was extremely busy but the server manage to attend our needs. The front ladies didn't know what was going f on in the restaurant and we ended waiting 45 minutes more than what we were told. Ambiance: It is loud when there is many people. For sure, I'm not going back on a Sunday but any other day. Price: Fair for the market read more

2-1/2 Star. My first visit was with a large group of 8 and it's hard to review when dining with so many. We were seated near the bathroom and there was a LOT of traffic in and out of there which was grossing me out so I decided not to review then, to be fair. I had the Shrimp and Grits and yes there is such a thing as too much shrimp! My husband did enjoy the Chicken and Waffles. My sister and I visited a 2nd time on a Saturday at 10:00 am. Surprisingly no wait time. Our food came out FAST! Too fast. My scrambled eggs were COLD. My toast was cold and hard --seemed old & my fruit was a little on the slimy side. This location has only been open for two weeks, so when my BF wanted to check it out this morning, I allowed my arm to be twisted. It's in the middle of the oddly empty LINC shopping center, next to the Peruvian place. Plenty of parking, which these days is a big plus as far as I'm concerned. The interior is bright and welcoming, with mix of tables and booths. At 8 am this weekday morning it was fairly empty--no surprise for such a new place. The service was fast and friendly, the menu nearly overwhelming. Entrees range from $12-18. I love that he had a choice of teas and I could choose regular or dark roast coffee. Choosing an entree was hard with so many classic or unusual options. The owner came by to chat, and to bring us a sample of their Biscuit Beignets, which are a delightful cross between the two, served with a very good marmalade. BF went for the Country Fried Steak Benedict, while I got the Country Power Bowl. Both arrived looking great. He declared his side of potatoes "uninspired," and after I had a taste, I agree. They needed to be a bit crispier, I think. But the Bennie was very good, he said. The underlying biscuit was huge, the CFS unusually "delicate," and the Red Eye gravy spot on. My Power Bowl was wonderful start to finish--in fact, I had to take half of it home, and I have a big appetite. The biscuit, which seems to be a specialty of theirs, was perfect, and BIG. Gravy was also just right, as was the side of bacon. And I don't know what sweet ham they put in that scramble, but, DAMN! This place definitely goes on our repeat list, and I suspect it will be a hit once the brunch crowd discovers it. read more

The Veggie Delight omelette was super tasty. I really enjoyed how the goat cheese tasted in this omelette. Also, they had lots of spinach chopped and placed on top of it, so it made for a very delightful veggie egg breakfast. I have to admit, however, that as a grits lover, I just do NOT like their grits. Regardless of where this restaurant chain is located, their grits are horrible -- even when I try them with cheese. Their pancakes are delicious because they seem to be made with sweet cream. It took them a long time to get the pancakes to us though-- we were almost through with breakfast by the time the pancakes were brought out. I like that they have English muffins as opposed to regular toast. The ambiance was chill and the staff was very friendly. read more

Once inside, the ambiance was actually quite quaint and charming. That said, considering how much traffic this restaurant gets, I was surprised by how limited the space is. I honestly think expanding the property would make a huge difference, although I understand that may not be entirely within their control. One thing I will give them major credit for is the menu. Online, the selection makes it look somewhat limited, but once you're there, they actually have 50+ food options, so there is plenty to choose from. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, my entrée was disappointing. I ordered a shredded beef taco with salsa and substituted a side salad. The beef was extremely tender, but unfortunately, it was also very dry. The salad was another disappointment because the vinaigrette was honestly not good. I don't think I've ever had a vinaigrette that I actively disliked until this meal. I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers. I recently visited Another Broken Egg Cafe in Austin with my brothers for the first time, and it was a great experience from start to finish. We ordered a variety of dishes from both the regular menu and their full menu, and I have to say the Lobster Hash Benedict was absolutely amazing. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the portion was generous enough that I couldn't even finish everything on my plate. Although I don't typically eat grits, our waiter kindly took the time to explain City Grits, and I'm now a big fan! They were creamy and flavorful, making for a great side dish. We also tried the Bourbon Pancakes and Pumpkin Waffles. While the bourbon flavor in the pancakes was more subtle than expected and I wasn't a fan of the banana, the pancakes were still delicious. The Pumpkin Waffles were fluffy and well-made, with a light pumpkin flavor that seemed to be more concentrated in the butter. It was subtle but enjoyable. Aside from the Lobster Hash, the standout dish for me was the Apple Fritter French Toast. It was absolutely the best breakfast item on the table, combining the right amount of sweetness with perfect texture. The coffee was served hot and fresh, and I loved the coffee cups they use. Our waiter was excellent--very patient and took his time explaining everything we had questions about, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side and felt cramped, but it was well kept and clean. I went to Another Broken Egg Cafe with four of my girlfriends, and we had such a great time! I ordered the huevos rancheros, and it was delicious, definitely hit the spot. Since it's a brunch spot, there were tons of vegetarian options, which I always appreciate. We also tried the beignets, and they were so good, crispy, fluffy, and just sweet enough. One of my favorite things about this place is their seasonal menu. It's fun to try something new each time. The service was fantastic too. Our manager, Daniel, was incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome. There's also plenty of parking, which made things super easy. Dine in | Brunch | $30-50 I returned, I've had amazing experiences here with my servers in the past, now my server Taylor was such a sweetheart, she gave an excellent service even if it was close to the end of the day, which the lady at the main door didn't gave, she said that the store was closed and it was 1:30 and i called before to make sure i could still eat at the restaurant and they said yes ?? i don't know what happened there, i felt confused as they told me that i could go but the the lady at the main door said something else. They do not USE real eggs it's all from the carton I asked them to give me Real eggs 4 times and they still gave me gum blah blah blah fake eggs ,-from a carton also they honey they have is corn syrup so they are not a good product genuine ingredients restaurant. Ended up waiting at our table for 20 minutes. Not one employee came by to take our order, or said anything to us. We ended up leaving because we were just sitting at a table ignored. I guess First Watch's gravy was healthier (turkey sausage) and needed milk- it was good, don't get me wrong, plentiful and flavorful, but... the other one was better ‍ Then we also shared some of these strawberry French toast. The French toast was thick and yummy and the whole thing looked super delish! I personally would have liked real whipped cream on top- I think this was miracle whip and just a let down in consistency for me. Yuck. It was left behind. And the strawberries were not all fresh? It had a great flavor, but we found we were sorting thru the strawberries to get the fresh ones versus some that were not. My daughter said she enjoyed it and would get it again... but also didn't like those 2 details. Anyway we are being picky. But those are opportunities for improvement- so that's what it's all about. The other friends got some omelettes and a veggie dish but we were seated far so I couldn't get their pictures- oh and a delicious morning drink with orange juice and some other juices that we unfortunately spilled all over... but most of it was delicious !
