My friend ordered a side salad, I meant to take a picture. It looked like it had been frozen, the lettuce was yellow, brown and soggy. The only other thing on it was soggy shredded carrots and a cup of balsamic dressing. No tomatoes, no croutons nada and the balsamic dressing had film over it, like it had been sitting in the plastic cup for days. When the waitress dropped it off she asked "do you want this"? As if she too knew it was gross. We said no thanks. I ordered the yankee omelette and side of French toast and cheesy hash browns. The hash browns were greasy but decent and toast was good. I cut into the omelette and realized they gave me the Denver (ham, peppers) instead of the yankee (olives, feta, spinach). The waitress was sitting at a table texting so I had to call her over, she told me she had entered it correctly but the kitchen may have messed up. I told her I wasn't sure what happened but this isn't what I ordered and let her know I just wanted to pay for the toast and hash browns. She offered to re make it but I declined and she obliged & walked away. After ten minutes I had to get up and get her (texting again) to cash me out. If it was just one issue I'd be ok but there were many- food quality in the salad, old dressing. poor customer service (texting, not following up). Kitchen screw ups, wrong items brought, mediocre quality. It was bad, I wont be back. And for a place already having issues due to high rent, construction etc I would think quality and customer service would be a focal point. I'd save my money and time if I were you MUCH better options.

My go-to is the Choice Sandwich with 1/3 of a pound of finest Choice Slice Honey Ham, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, red onion, dirty mustard and mayo, served on a toasted fresh baked bun. I usually add avocado for a nice creamy texture. This is one of my favorite sandwiches because it is served warm with the bun toasted and it hits the spot with the flavorful ham and all the toppings. If you are a new customer they will offer you a sampler plate where you can try all of their homemade side dishes. Some of my favorite are the shells and cheese and ham bone soup. But on this visit, everything was served rather cold/tepid, which made the whole meal fall flat. Warm salsa can be wonderful when the plate is hot; when the food is lukewarm, it just doesn't have the same magic. We were first seated in the back room, which felt like a refrigerator, so we moved up front. Unfortunately, the ceiling fans didn't help the food stay warm either. The biscuits were also underwhelming -- somewhere shy of "meh." I wanted to love it again. I really did. Cisco's has history, charm, and a place in Austin memory. But breakfast needs to come out hot, especially dishes like migas, sausage, salsa, and biscuits. I hope this was an off day, because I'd love for the old spark to still be there.

The fajita was well seasoned and not overcooked at all. The portion is huge, happy we decided to split it one. I especially want to note that the rice side is fresh and not dry at all (I know we all been to places where the Spanish rice looks and tastes dry). And MOST importantly: they turned this biscuit hater around. But the catch is, the biscuits must come from Cisco, nowhere else. Also, the fat that everything is reasonably priced, considering being a prime location, this is another praise point on my end! Will 100% be back damn very much looking forward to doing so!
