    Buttermilk Pancakes

I recently stopped by A Broken Egg Cafe for brunch, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience. As soon as I walked in, the atmosphere stood out--it was warm, nicely decorated, and had that relaxed brunch vibe that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. Our waitress, Shayla, truly made the visit special. Her customer service was top-notch--she was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond by bringing us complimentary biscuit beignets while we were still deciding what to order. Those were absolutely fantastic--light, sweet, and a great way to start the meal. For my main dish, I ordered the eggs Benedict. It was good, but not the most flavorful in my opinion. That said, it was only my second time trying eggs Benedict, so my expectations might not be fully dialed in yet. I also had a side of buttermilk pancakes, and those definitely stole the show--soft, fluffy, and everything you'd want in a perfect pancake, the breakfast potatoes on the side were also a great addition to my meal who doesn't love potatoes. Overall, I had a great experience. The service especially stood out and really elevated the visit. I'd definitely come back to try more items on the menu in search of that full 5-star feeling. For now, I'd give it 4.5 stars, mainly thanks to the excellent service.

Yummy! I had the blt and saved my busy day at work. The bacon was fresh and so happy I get to pick the multi grain bread which I needed than starch. It was delivered and timely!

Great choice for brunch! Lots of good options on their menu but the one that stuck out to us was the cinnamon roll french toast! That was actually the deciding factor on why we chose Another Broken Egg Cafe. Wasn't too busy on a Friday morning around 11ish AM and was a pretty full restaurant. The service was good & the food came out pretty fast. We ordered the french toast (a la carte) mentioned earlier [$13.49] & Eggs Benedict [$14.99] but we subbed the english muffin for the biscuit cause I wanted to try it. The biscuit was really fluffy and good. Love a good biscuit! The hollandaise was not really hollandaise. It's not the yellow sauce we know and love. It tasted more like light gravy which we were surprised by BUT didn't hate. I actually really enjoyed it as it was a new twist on the classic Eggs Benny. Mmm the french toast was the best I've had in a while. Definitely didn't need syrup, maybe it already had some, IDK. It came w/whipped cream and some fresh berries that complimented the sweetness of the french toast! Chef's Kiss! The restaurant was clean and there was plenty of parking in the square full of restaurants. It only got four stars because there was nothing really that blew me away where it warrants a 5/5 rating. With that said, I'd definitely be back if I was in the area again.

I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants but this one gets it right. While I come for the delicious omelettes I'm obsessed with the cookie dough waffle. It use to be seasonal but it looks like it's coming to stay (fingers crossed). I love to try new things so the apple fritter French toast was a must and who doesn't love loaded grits? While the service was excellent the communication from table to kitchen could use some work. The potatoes came hot and fresh but they were not seasoned as stated on the menu. Stick to basic things if you want you food hot and fresh, otherwise you could end up waiting a bit and your food will be cold. Overall this is always my breakfast vibe. Great music, delicious food, good service, all at a reasonable price.

This restaurant is close to one of my work locations and I often come with colleagues for brunch/early lunch. They can get pretty busy but we always manage to get seated without too much of a wait. The menu is primarily comfort food with some healthy choices as well (salads, half sandwiches, etc.). I think overall the food is good and is comparable to a regional or local chain type of deal. Think Denny's but better. I guess what I am saying is it's a good place for office dwellers to hit up. I will definitely keep going back with co-workers. The food they serve satisfies if that makes sense. It's a very clean establishment and the bathrooms are near spotless.

Ambiance: modern and moderate noise for weekend brunch. Lots of families dining out and about, but tables not necessarily elbow to elbow. Service: pretty good for a busy morning. Still smiling and attentive to our additional requests Food: limited season soft shell crab was awesome! Mayo based sauce went well but wasn't overpowering or drenched in oil. The light sprinkle of veggies/scallions also helped cut the overall heft of the meal. Potatoes were alright, 3/5. Felt they weren't that fresh and were kinda dry. Kids French toast plate was pretty good portion. Most people including us left with leftovers.

We've been told by many that Another Broken Egg Cafe would be a strong contender for a go to chain breakfast spot. We've also been told the Tooth Fairy was real. Now we just think people are liars. Another Broken Egg is a name fitting for just another boring experience. Parking was easy to find, although the spaces are pretty small. We put ourselves on the waitlist and waited close to 10 minutes before we were able to be seated. The restaurant doesn't really have any inspiring decor, at least nothing gimmicky like other spots. The service was pretty slow for a half full restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Bathrooms were moderately clean as well. As for the food, it was largely uninspiring, even for breakfast. We ordered the French toast with sides of bacon and eggs and the supreme omelette with a side of potatoes and toast. The French toast was very average, something you could find an equal pretty much anywhere. Bacon was very much the same, eggs are just eggs. For the supreme omelette every bite was different, some good some really bad. The bites with mushroom were notably not good as the texture just felt off. All around a big swing in a miss with the most redeeming thing being the size of the plates we ordered. By the end of our trip to Another Broken Egg Cafe we felt very underwhelmed by things, particularly the food which is pretty important considering it's a restaurant. This is by no means a bad restaurant but certainly one we would not recommend going to.

Definitely not just another broken egg cafe. Not only is the food salivating, but they also have excellent service. There's gonna be a long wait on the weekends, so best to join the waitlist here on Yelp before arriving. I did and got a table within 5 minutes from walking in. Just make sure you walk in within 10 minutes of your estimate wait time. The options are plenty and all make it difficult to decide. They serve Simply juices, and it's one of my favorites, so I got the Apple. Then once I saw chorizo on the menu, I had to order the Southwest Scrambler served with flour tortillas. I chose the potatoes as my side and they came loaded with bacon and cheese. Everything was mmm mm mmm good!

Visited on a Sunday for brunch. You can check waitlist times and place your name online via Google etc. Wait times were 20-30min. Atmosphere, prices and service were very nice. I was just not a big fan of the food. Coffee tasted bitter, hamburger patty was the thinnest I've seen, the cinnamon roll French toast had too much going on. I was excited to try someplace new, but will have to skip this one. Again this is solely for the food, everything else was fine.

We grabbed brunch with a couple friends after axe throwing next door. This is a great little complex with fun things to do, dining, shopping. Really cute area to walk around too. We enjoyed our brunch here - I loved the crab cake eggs Benedict. The iced coffee was yummy too. Lots of breakfast and brunch options. Our group has varied preferences but all enjoyed their meals!

    Hey Lucy Omelette
    Jordyn M.

Came bright and early midweek for a work team breakfast celebrating a birthday. The bartender got us started with some coffees and just good conversation then when everyone arrived we got sat a table. We all ordered different things and everything looked great, the potato's were a bit salty but if you like your potatoes on the saltier side then it's just right. I ordered the Lucy omelette, realized after I finished my English muffins never came with it, but the grits and omelette itself were both very good. Our server was kind and courteous. We all agreed we'd dine again.

    Biscuit Beignet
    Haley F.

For a place with 'egg' in the title, the egg dishes were not great. I got an omelette and my friend got an egg scramble. We both thought our dishes were just okay. However, the biscuit beignets were tasty. They were more hard than I would've like them to be, but they were good nonetheless. Shoutout to our server Carolina! She was super sweet. In fact, she gave us the biscuit beignets for free since we were first time visitors. Thank you, Carolina!! With that said, I would go back, but I would try something different. The pancakes look amazing!

    Diana S.

I've been here a couple times and I am always happy with my food! The last time I got the salmon bagel Benedict and it is soooo good I cannot stop talking about it! Service is always fairly fast and the restaurant itself has a nice look and doesn't feel too crowded or over the top. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Their menu, is unlike any other I have seen in the Austin area. It's unique, well crafted, and intentional. Now here's the fun part, that creativity has translated quite well into some of the most well tasting drinks in Austin. Corn Cream Matcha latte: The minute I saw this on the menu I knew I had to get it. I have seen corn matcha and lattes in California many of times, but never in Austin. A corn matcha or lattes is one of those drinks that is a challenge. You can either totally miss the corn flavor or overdo it. I think Cafe Du Bless gave me the perfect ratio and this drink was so yum. Give me 3 to go please. Earl grey matcha cloud: Their matcha cloud is so fluffy-as a cloud usually comes. But here's the thing can we please compliment it's perfect whip and the green on these matcha's! In regard to the earl grey taste itself, it was so well infused. Banana latte: Okay so as we all know banana flavors got as popular as strawberry last summer. I love a banana latte, but it's fair to say that even if a banana flavor is easily accomplished it's also hard to strike a balance, too bring consistency, and still allow the espresso to come through. Once upon a time, Disneyland released a drink called the Banoffee, it was a hit! I absolutely think Cafe Du Bliss came close to that trend with their banana latte. All of these drinks and I also must compliment their superb service. The girl who took my order was so sweet and I had questions about their drinks and she was so kind in her customer care. I will absolutely be back. They have a sweet potato latte and a black sesame latte I need to try.

The menu is overwhelming but in a delicious way. Overwhelming in that I want everything on it. Always. However, I went with one of my favorite treats on the planet, taiyaki! Ok, we actually got five. One to share onsite and the rest to take home for later. We got two Nutella, two custard, and one cheese. I've had taiyaki from many, many different places and Cafe Du Bliss is in my top 3 favorites. The pastry had the right flakiness and flavor and there was no skimping on fillings. Super yum. Drinks: So many amazing matcha combo choices (& MUCH more). I opted for a strawberry slushie that was sweet and refreshing. Nothing beats fresh berries in an iced beverage. My boyfriend had the matcha & chocolate latte iced. Had a couple of sips...perfect matcha to chocolate ratio. The flavors were well balanced and tasty. Perfectly refreshing drinks (& treats) on a hot & sunny Austin day. What is not to like? We had our final Austin brunch there and were happy we made that choice. Of course it's a chain restaurant, but good quality food is always nice. So I remembered that they have a virtual line you can join - and sometimes that works- and so I joined the line. We had a party of 6 going. At brunch... that was going to take a while! Well The strategy worked as we were in their list when we got there! So remember to get on that waitlist so you won't have to wait so long while at the restaurant Warning: their coffee is strong! Lol - we had a cup while waiting, and I was done. Lol! We ordered the turkey sausage and gravy with a biscuit and potatoes. We still had the gravy craving since we got so little of it at Another Broken Egg the day before... well this time we got a good serving of gravy to complete our craving! Yess! However... since I'm comparing... I did like yesterday's gravy more... I guess First Watch's gravy was healthier (turkey sausage) and needed milk- it was good, don't get me wrong, plentiful and flavorful, but... the other one was better ‍ Then we also shared some of these strawberry French toast. The French toast was thick and yummy and the whole thing looked super delish! I personally would have liked real whipped cream on top- I think this was miracle whip and just a let down in consistency for me. Yuck. It was left behind. And the strawberries were not all fresh? It had a great flavor, but we found we were sorting thru the strawberries to get the fresh ones versus some that were not. My daughter said she enjoyed it and would get it again... but also didn't like those 2 details. Anyway we are being picky. But those are opportunities for improvement- so that's what it's all about. The other friends got some omelettes and a veggie dish but we were seated far so I couldn't get their pictures- oh and a delicious morning drink with orange juice and some other juices that we unfortunately spilled all over... but most of it was delicious ! Anyway: we had great service, good food, and a fun goodbye brunch in Austin! Until Next time !

Our server, Malcom, was fantastic and really made the visit stand out. The coffee was solid too, and it looks like they've got plenty of gluten‑free options. We'll definitely be back to check out their brunch.

Today we both wanted the biscuits with gravy and so we asked for just that! The service is as usual very prompt and courteous and our 2 plates came out fast and hot. We had each ordered the scrambled eggs soft- (so juicy) and they sadly were not as expected. The gravy was just barely enough to not even cover the biscuits- and it was very tasty, so we asked for more, and were billed for an additional side of gravy. Again the side of gravy that was provided and billed for, was very small. So there's room for improvement there. We enjoyed our meal but definitely would have enjoyed it more if more gravy had been used! Oh I forgot to mention that one of us ordered the stack of pancakes foster as an add on and they were good. Idk if the pancakes arrived hot, but by the time we got to try them they were very lukewarm. But the flavor was good. Overall, today it was average to good food: room for improvement! Enjoy!

Didn't realize I would get tiny reheated frozen meatballs. For $7 I'd rather get 2-3 decent sized homemade ones. The side of hummus was literally a small ramekin that salad dressing usually comes in and was $1.50. The flavor was decent but a little chunky compared to what I'm used to elsewhere. The cheesy garlic bread was pretty good. I feel like it could improve with packaging that doesn't steam it during transport though (wrapped in sandwich paper and then foil). Perhaps a box or styrofoam container that can vent would help it be less chewy and retain some crispness? The marinara has good flavor but was super watery, not sure if that's the usual since this is my first time having Cheba Hut. I'll likely try this place again but a sandwich next time, since other people's pics looks yummy.
