I went in around noon on Friday 11/22 with some friends and my husband. I ordered the vanilla cold brew and the cream they put on top looked curdled once mixed into the coffee. The coffee itself was very acidic. My waiter was kind when I told him I didn't like the drink and got me something else. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and unfortunately within two hours of eating it, I was sick. I've never had food poisoning before but based on my symptoms I'd say this was what I had. We checked in online ahead of time. We arrived and checked in at the stand. She said 25 minutes. 35 minutes later we hadn't moved up the line at all and people who arrived after us were already seated. She said she didn't forget us but that obviously wasn't true. A friend of mine suggested that my husband and I give this place a try, and boy am I glad that we did!! This place is phenomenal. I had the strawberry pound cake French toast with scrambled eggs & bacon with a side of fresh country potatoes & a hot chocolate. My husband had the supreme omelette with city grits & coffee. The food was perfect. My husband wanted to personally shake the chefs hand because everything was so delicious. The food was very flavorful. I ended up bringing my parents & sister a few days after my first visit, and they too loved it. Everything tasted great on both occasions. My family and I came for breakfast on a Saturday morning (8/12/23). Food was fine but the service was terrible. We were seated right away with empty tables surrounding us. We were waiting about 10 minutes when the hostess sat a group of people at the table behind us. A minute later, a waitress approached that new table, took their order and continued to ignore us. We were trying to be patient but we also had our 3 year old with us. We waited close to another 10 minutes with no acknowledgment from anyone. My husband then approached the hostess stand to ask where our waitress was. Another 5 minutes later and someone finally approached our table to take our order. No hello how are you, no apology for the wait...nothing. Once our order came out from a food runner, we were told they would bring out syrup for my sons waffles. Another 10 minutes went by....nothing. Our server was nowhere to be found. I approached the hostess stand to ask for syrup and was told they were short staffed. Which okay, fine....but there were literally 5 people standing around at the hostess stand. By the time someone brought over syrup to our table, my son was already not interested in eating the rest of his waffles. Same issue happened when we needed our check to pay and leave. We again had to walk up to the hostess stand and ask for our check. If any of the restaurant staff would have apologized for the wait or been remotely friendly to us, we would consider coming back. I love this place. Any place that lets dogs on the patio is good for me. They are very efficient. My apple pie mimosa was delicious, very little alcohol which is how I like it. I've been to the other locations in this city so I was very excited when this one opened near my home. I went in this morning to get some work done and enjoy some pancakes but no one ever took my order. I was seated in a booth and sat there for a long while without anyone even coming over to offer a glass of water. I decided to leave. She also nice enough to give us the whole water pitcher as one of my friends was super thirsty and there was 6 of us.
