This was our second visit because we liked the egg Benedict so much the first time we visited. Would give this cafe a 5* but unfortunately today my husband and I remained a little disappointed. We ordered the smoked salmon and the crab cake Benedict and we both ended up with one of our eggs being hard boiled. When I showed it to Cody, our waiter he just said I'm sorry and at the same time just left the bill on the table before even asking if we would like something else. We totally understand mistakes can happen however, it would have been nice to be asked if we wanted another egg or at least didn't charge us for our coffees... read more

Loved the Bar staff, but bad experience with the hostess staff ruined our Brunch with our daughter visiting the area from Florida. The pictures of food look better than the food itself. Please learn how to make Grits (no instant grits, no sugar, just real grits, butter and cheese (in large quantity.) Like the drinks and coffee and biscuits and gravy, my omelette was good too. read more

Was very mid. Nothing crazy. Solid breakfast above ihop. Very similar to magnolia vibes.

We signed up on online waitlist. Said wait was 35 minutes so we waited 20 minutes before getting there, just to be informed that the online waitlist doesn't matter, time starts when you check in there. If online waitlist doesn't exist then don't have an option to check in online. read more

The atmosphere was great in this restaurant from the time we arrived. Staff was attentive and very pleasant and courteous to all guest. we especially loved our server Chelsea who was very knowledgeable and very pleasant and patient with us. This was our first time in Austin, Tx and this restaurant we would certainly be returning when we visit again, hoping to get Chelsea again! She deserves all accolades! Thanks Mrs Henderson Bear, DE read more

Had the BEST breakfast and what made it even better was our server, Chelsea S. She was so sweet, attentive and answered all of our questions. I'm gluten free and they offer a gluten friendly & vegetarian menu aside from the regular menu. The food came quick, tasted amazing, and stayed hot throughout our entire meal. We can't wait to go back! Thank you Chelsea for going above and beyond for our dietary restrictions! read more

Everything went awesome Chelsea our waitress was amazing nice atmosphere and excellent food I am from New Orleans where the original one is from and this did not disappoint read more

See all

Shocked by the upcharge for fruit and potatoes. I expect at least one side to be covered by entree price and $5.00 more or less for fried potatoes is outrageous. Will go back to Crackle Barrel. read more

We celebrated my Husband's birthday with brunch at Another Broken Egg. As always, the food was AMAZING! I had the crab cake benedict and my Husband had the Dragon Fruit French Toast (seasonal). You HAVE to get the city grits, they're delicious. The best part of our meal was our waitress Chelsea!!! Was a Rockstar and made sure we had a great time. She went over the seasonal menu options with us, and we went with her recommendation. She was super sweet, helpful, and all around awesome. Next time we come back, we'll be asking for Chelsea!!!! read more

Super good experience! It was my first time here and our waitress Chelsea gave us a lot of time to look over the menu. She did not hover or anything so we had a lot of time to choose. She also nice enough to give us the whole water pitcher as one of my friends was super thirsty and there was 6 of us. I had a couple questions on the menu and she was very knowledgeable on the options. The atmosphere was great as we sat outside. They have shaded areas so it was not superrrr hot (But it is Texas in July). The food itself was pretty good. I got the shrimp benny (with no hollandaise sauce) which had a lot of different flavors. I'd recommend if you like savory breakfast options! Thank you so much Chelsea for the great service. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Shrimp Benedict (Benny) and side of Grits - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Austin, Texas

The reviews were somewhat misleading. The staff were friendly and happy to welcome in. The interior was basically a Denny's or IHOP remodel. The menu was decent. Food was okay but really not memorable. What appears to be a full bar was missing quite a few items. No espresso was an issue for a breakfast diner. This might've been a 2 star review if it wasn't for the staff and ample parking. read more

It's fine? Another chain breakfast cafe, weird coffee mugs, mostly makes me miss when Austin was able to support local businesses putting on a similar kind of show. Better than first watch but still solidly a 3-star joint. read more

Our server Kale was so nice and efficient. He made great recommendations on the food and the food was so delicious. Definitely coming back again. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Honey Lemon Blueberry French Toast!! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Austin, Texas

Great breakfast I love the banana pancakes ! The host could be nicer tho but overall great food and atmosphere.

The food was absolutely amazing and totally plan to come back here to eat. It's about the same price as Denny's but the quality is so much higher. The ambiance is very lovely, it feels like your home at your moms or grandmas house eating breakfast while the radio plays in the background. Very homey and comfortable. Our service was also top notch Our server Chelsea was a phenomenal server who was very kind and made for great conversations while we ate and helped us navigate the menu if we had any questions. Would totally recommend her if you ever come to eat here! read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Blue living her best life on the patio.. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Austin, Texas

I love another broken egg. Every one that I go to is always good food, service, and atmosphere. Hands down best breakfast restaurant.

I went here alone this morning, ordered breakfast and coffee. I had finished breakfast, paid my bill with a 30% tip, since I was a party of one (and service was awesome) and was sipping my coffee, obviously nearing the end of my breakfast. The manager came over and asked if I would leave so they could combine my table with another for a large party. What the heck?? I thought that was incredibly rude. I had not overstayed, had not even stayed as long as a party of two talking would have stayed. But the part that got me was her disregard for me as a customer. And, not that it matters, but no respect for what burden I might be carrying or what I was thinking as I sat there away in thought. read more

Had a terrible experience here today. All of our orders were wrong in some way, my food was cold, items were missing, I'm sober and don't drink and today I was accidentally served alcohol. All because of our server. Apparently they were new, and I understand that everyone has to learn, but the restaurant was busy, they didn't ask anyone to help them with our table, we sat for 30 min without drinks and 1 1/2 hour without food. The food is normally great but we were so upset by the experience we left most of it and went to eat somewhere else. read more

Lots of options and great service. Similar to other of this chain I've eaten in other places.

Great food! Great service! I normally don't eat breakfast however, when I do, it's always enjoyable to go to Another Broken Egg Café.

Food was meh. Service was meh. Everyone was very friendly. The place was nice. I think the expectation was way higher than what was delivered. It all looked really good but the taste was average at best. We ordered the eggs Benedict and cinnamon roll French toast. The highlight was the potatoes. Nothing was terrible but the only thing good was the potatoes. read more

Loved our experience here! Kid friendly. Food was great and service was awesome. Love all the breakfast cocktails too!

Great breakfast restaurant! Choice of medium or dark roast coffee was nice. We got there right at 7 on a Sunday and we were the only ones there. Food was cooked to perfection, lots of flavor. Would definitely eat here again! read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Shrimp 'N Grits - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Austin, Texas

Discovered this morning near the Austin Community College site at the old Highland Mall (you need to have lived here 10 years or more to know that). Excellent location..... a little tricky to find, but well worth it. Great broad menu with surely something for everyone. Coffee selections are exceptional. Did the Biscuit and Gravy. Super fluffy large biscuit smothered in mildly spicy gravy. Eggs scrambled just right and their homemade sausage was better than right. Chelsea, who waited on us - was right on in her recommendations. Great smile, wonderful personality and quick with the coffee refills. If nearby and wanting a great breakfast or brunch - GO. read more

Today was my first time visiting this establishment & it was awesome! The ambiance is really relaxing and pretty, mixing modern & artsy together in a classy way. The service was great, the waitresses were all really kind, especially our waitress, Chelsea! She was so friendly and really added to the experience honestly. She was attentive, quick, and charismatic. The food was equally as good; well portioned & priced. I'm from Louisiana so seeing crawfish & beignets on the menu was an awesome surprise to me! I will definitely be coming back! Their drink menu is pretty expansive as well, if you're into that definitely swing by! Over all, an awesome place to eat, thank y'all! read more

Went this morning and Chelsea our server, was great! Food is always delicious! Really like this place.

Chelsea was very nice and attentive! Food was average.. it didn't feel like they had the air on, therefore it was hot and stuffy.

What a great find in our neighborhood! We walked in at 1:45 PM and were greeted warmly, even though they close at 2 PM. The food was excellent and our server, Chelsea, was the best... So friendly and helpful with recommendations. We will DEFINITELY be returning to this location in the very near future. What a great experience! read more

Chelsea was our server and an absolute delight! She gave us clear recommendations and overall amazing service. She's a great conversationalist, especially appreciated by someone like me who was from out of town. Very clean and good atmosphere. The food was phenomenal!! Exactly what I imagine a delicious breakfast to be. I got the Honey Lemon French toast- so good. I actually ordered the chicken sandwich and it was very good. Not greasy or overcooked! Juicy and crispy, and overall tender. It was my first time dining at this franchise and, if any more employees are like Chelsea from the Austin branch, I'd love to go again! read more

When we arrived, the host let us know that the wait would be 25-30 minutes. We did not get seated until an hour after checking in with the host. We saw party after party arrive and get seated almost immediately upon arriving. When we finally got seated, our waiter was rushing through our drink orders and left before 2 people could order their drinks. Those folks ended up placing their drink order with their food order, however the drinks didn't come in until they were half way done with their meals. Additionally, when they brought the two lattes, they just placed them on the table, and when we asked which latte was which, he looked equally as confused and said he wasn't sure. We had also asked for a side of potatoes with one of the meals, but we didn't receive them until we were done with our meal. Overall, the food was nothing special and definitely not worth the poor service we received. They automatically charged an 18% tip, which I fear had a lot to do with the poor service we received. read more
