    Bronx Bomber
    Mariel T.

Just didn't really do it for me. We got: -The Bronx Bomber (steak egg and cheese) with the medium sauce. It didn't really have a flavor? -bodega classic (bacon egg and cheese) with original sauce. This was better but that's not saying much. Cheese on both was partially melted. Staff was friendly and tried their best to keep up with the line.

Tried this place out while we were in Austin for the weekend. The staff was nice and the food was good. Waited for about 10 minutes or so. Prices were fair.

Bodega Classic - cheese + avocado spread

Rating: 3.3/5 This food truck isn't as good as their other location. We ordered the Bodega Classic ($8.99) online, and it was ready in about 5-6 minutes. I asked for no cheese, medium (spicy & sweet) sauce, and added avocado spread ($2.29). We ate the sandwich right away while it was still warm. Unfortunately, it tasted pretty plain as if there wasn't much sauce. The roll was soft, and the bacon was crispy but quite salty. I'd recommend adding cheese to all sandwiches for better flavor balance.

After my 5K walk through Mueller Lake park I needed some nourishment, so I decided to try Eggman for breakfast. It was in the same food truck park I had coffee earlier. I ordered an egg bowl and my table mates ordered the the basic, botego and queens with ratings across the board. The bowl potatoes was quite tasty, however, the eggs were a little runny. The cashier was efficient and helpful to suggest a bowl after I asked for a multi-grain bread. The food truck park was on and popping! There were bike clubs lingering about, folks from the Lupus walk and regular park goers. The environment feels a little busy.

I'm going to preface my review and say that I likely hold an unpopular opinion because I can see how many fans Eggman has, but it didn't hit the mark for me. I had really high expectations because a lot of New Yorkers have tried Eggman and claim it's really similar to NY-style breakfast sandwiches, and I don't doubt that! However, I think it missed the mark for me because it was just incredibly heavy and not very well balanced. The closest to a well-balanced sandwich with the available toppings/ingredients they have would be to add jalapenos because a nice kick would cut the heaviness slightly. However, I think they should add a little bit of sweetness with some more jam or maybe some acidity? The first bite was undeniably delicious, but I found that after a few bites, I didn't really want to eat any more of it. I would definitely come and try their other specialty sandwiches (perhaps the pizza one?), but the two that I tried (sausage, egg, cheese, hashbrown) were underwhelming.

Simple egg sandwiches with the softest bread!! I tried Eggman for the first time by ordering ahead for pick up. It was ready in about 10 minutes. We tried the Bodega and Queens. If you like your egg sandwich with lots of cheese, soft bread, and messy - Eggman is for you! It wasn't my favorite sandwich, but worth a try. I typically like more greens and heartier bread in my sandwich.

Love this place! I have been coming for months and almost always have a 5 star experience. My only note is they're not 100% consistent so some days can be better than others. Example: the cheese is sometimes not melted at all as if they are just rushing out orders. They have also been skimping on filling their sauce cups recently.

    Bodega Classic with Hashbrown

Recently visited Eggman and the breakfast sandwiches were pretty good! I got the Bodega Classic with Hashbrown which brought the sandwich to about $11-12. I did not think the Medium sauce was spicy at all so will definitely try Hot next time around. I think this is a good, quick breakfast option for those visiting Mueller, was suprised there wasn't a long wait on the weekend. Outdoor picnic seating only.

    the amazing coffee!!

Absolutely the best!! angel always has the best attitude and makes the best coffee!!!! WOULD RECOMMEND ANGEL IS SERIOUSLY THE SHITTT

The best breakfast sandwiches in Austin by far!!! We've tried to find the best sandwiches for a while and just discovered eggman. We've already gotten it 3 times within 1 week! Soooo delicious!

While exploring the many museums across the University of Texas campus, a quick caffeine break was needed for my girlfriend and we were overwhelmed by the number of options on The Drag. It makes sense that there are plenty of places to choose from because of the large number of UT students. Everyone needs a little coffee in their lives. One of the highest reviewed ones with a large pool of ratings was Lucky Lab Coffee and after checking a few quick reviews, we decided to give it a chance. Lucky Lab has five locations in Austin (four on campus) and one location in Dripping Springs. The one we were at off The Drag was their flagship. This location serves a little bit of everything from sandwiches to pastries, salad to quiche, and of course, coffee. As we walked inside the flagship, it is easy to notice how tight the space is. There is very little seating inside at their bar, but they make up for it with plenty of shaded outdoor space that is perfect for a nice day. Scanning their menu, we landed on some drinks from their winter menu. I was intrigued by their Pomegranate Rosemary Latte while my girlfriend tried their Ginger Spice Mocha. We got them both iced. First, it is interesting to see the fusion of pomegranate and rosemary in a latte. I was intrigued by those flavors. Their drink sizes are 12 oz, 16 oz, and 20 oz, each adding an additional 50 cents to each upgrade. All milk alternatives cost 1 dollar. It was only a short wait to get our coffees and the cup with the little lab on it was cute. I think specialty drinks have an opportunity to be amazing and one of a kind or the worst drink imaginable. This pomegranate rosemary latte did not fall into either category exactly, but leaned more toward the latter. I love pomegranates and I always appreciate how earthy rosemary can be in a coffee. One of my favorite lattes I have ever had has rosemary in it. This was just not working for me. I shamefully did not finish my coffee. As for my girlfriend, she did not like her ginger spice mocha. I could not imagine gingerbread syrup not working in a mocha, but after trying it myself it was not for me either. It seems like a perfect match, but here the gingerbread is competing with the chocolate and instead of complementing each other they clash. She told me that the flavors were "un-mocha like". She drank less than half of her coffee before tossing it as well. Neither of us wanted to dislike Lucky Lab. They seem well established and I felt like they were trustworthy based on reviews, but I wonder what these previous reviewers were tweaking on or what magical concoction of coffee granted from heaven above they were sipping on because we were distraught by how disappointing these drinks were. I would like to give Lucky Lab Coffee Co the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe the specialty drinks were not up to par with their traditional beverages. However, the almost 30 different syrup options on their wall make me feel they lack a little focus and try too hard to stand out. They lose what makes a coffee good, which is coffee. I want to say I will give them a second shot in the future to see if it was just an off day or a bad beverage pick. Too many shots turns a Lucky Lab into Old Yeller. The lab needs to be put on a leash before I think about returning. RIYL: options

We've been wanting to check out this shop for quite sometime and finally had the chance. From the minute we walked in the door the vibe was on! Our barista, Litsa was incredible! She was fun and bouncy and had so much positive energy. She even helped me create a concoction of sorts. Like most, lavender is my go-to. But, I also wanted toasted marshmallow and so I was torn. She suggested a combo of the two for my cappuccino (with oat milk of course). Wow! It was spectacular. I was so beyond miserable when I walked in the door (the rain) and she turned things around for me within 30 seconds of interacting. Her positivity and kindness were through the roof! My cappuccino concoction...so good I think it should be a menu feature! The banana guard iced latte my boyfriend got was equally as delicious. It was like an ice cream treat for grown-ups. Everything about the shop is so welcoming. Warm lighting, comfortable seating, and spacious. So much for the eye to take in as they have offerings from local artists and craftspeople for sale. A mini store if you will. All lined neatly on wall hanging shelves. They've got candles, pottery, jewelry, clothing, etc. All the goodies you'd expect to find at a gift and craft, artisan shop. Fitting since the drinks they put out are liquid art. Since it's about a ten-minute walk from home, it'll definitely be a new stop when going to the pet store. Wonderful experience on a dreary day.

I liked this place, and would come back in the future!

The featured coffees here are roasted by their own RCB Roasters, and my selection was their Ethiopian Guji, promising some nice acidity and brightness from its lighter leaning roast profile. The coffee "space" is compact here, but they're using good gear and seem to have the staff to use it well. My espresso was served with sparking water, and was just as I'd hoped, a bright cup with citrus acidity that was well structured, but not overly acidic or bitter at all. It was a winner all around. And let's just say I'm on board with what others have said. I have tried the burgers, fries, sweets/pastries, and of course the drinks. My favorite of all these is a brisket sandwich with their fries! The brisket itself has an amazing sauce which I heard is made in house. This sauce is also used on the burgers and if you order either with their amazingly seasoned fries you won't be disappointed! As for drinks, I loved the Mexicano latte, that's my personal favorite. The spices and the espresso is well balanced and is my go to drink. That said, it is my favorite. They also have a caramel latte, but it is on the sweeter side. It's good, but sweeter than my liking. As for any pastries you get, I tried some of their fan favorite which include the honey cake and wow! As a baker myself, I quite enjoyed this cake since it was moist and the frosting itself was the perfect consistency and texture. It was also not too sweet and not overly powerful, but added what it needed to the cake. Anyways, I come here often, and would recommend to those looking for a sweet spot to enjoy with family.
