Cute little spot to grab a coffee in the Mueller area! I got the salted caramel latte and my pup enjoyed a little free treat Will def swing by anytime I'm in the area even with a big competitor jumping in soon.

Located in the middle of the residential section of Mueller, the first time I went, it was unexpected. It's definitely a neighborhood-vibe joint because the baristas always seem to know what a lot of patrons are going to order. Since I've only been a handful of times and always get something new, I'd not expect that. However, the service is top-notch whether you're a regular or a some-timer. When I take my dog, he's not allowed in the main coffee shop (where you order at the window and then go in). But, the space next door is always available and make for a peaceful spot to rest with him while sipping a beverage and eating a scone. I've never had a bad product here at all. On our last visit I had a seasonal Ginger Snap Latte (iced) and it was everything! The holidays in liquid form I tell you.

3 must-try things you have to order: the blueberry latte, affogato, and bottega spritz! We ordered the affogato with lavender caramel ice cream. The espresso here was super strong but paired well with the sweetness of the ice cream. We didn't realize that particular flavor was from a local vegan ice cream shop, which made sense as the ice cream itself had a strong coconut flavor to it--enjoyed it nonetheless! I know the combination of espresso and blood orange San Pellegrino sounds weird, but definitely try the bottega spritz if you're in the mood for something light and refreshing. Perfect for when you're not in the mood for all the milk that comes in a latte. I loved it so much, I've started looking for it at other coffee shops too. But this is the only place in I've ever been able to find it!

This was good. It's a little place in the Mueller neighborhood area. Finding parking can be hard. We actually went and parked in the garage and walked over. The inside space is small, you order at the window outside, and then you can go indoors. A bit of a step up to get in. They also have some outdoor seating and there's sometime a pup or two to pet there. I went for a little cafe date with my husband. It was chilly so we went inside this time, we got a couple of seats at the bar top. It was nice to watch folks heat up treats and make and bottle their homemade syrup. I ordered a raw cacao latte unsweetened and made with coconut milk. Hubs got himself an Earl Gray tea which he got hot. They were pretty good. He said his was a standard cup of tea. Mine was pretty good! I like a nice bitter but easy drink and the raw cacao was the way to go. I wouldn't go out of my way to comeback, but it's a solid cafe to go to if you're looking for that vibe while at Mueller.

Pro tip: Don't overlook ordering soft-served ice cream and baked goods (flavors change quite often and baked goods can run out quick into the afternoon). Kid-sized cup is $3.25. What a cute neighborhood experience! Bottega offers coffee, tea, coffee & tea specialties, beer & wine, baked goods, and of course the soft-serve. Hannah managed the window (where you order) very well. Indoor and outdoor seating with complimentary wifi.

Super cute walk up coffee shop. Patio is adorable and there's also seats inside. Drinks were tasty! Had the salted caramel latte and vanilla latte. The vanilla was definitely more my style but if you're a salty coffee person the salted caramel is pretty good too.

Came here with a friend yesterday for a sweet treat and this spot was nearby. This coffee/ice cream shop is so cute and a great location in the Mueller area. I think the worker had a hard time hearing me and my friend for some reason but he was also a little rude I can't lie lol. But regardless the ice cream was good and the outdoor seating is cute so we still had a good time.

Such a cute coffee shop & ice cream parlor with lively vibes -- counters with red & white tiles, hanging plants, bright red counter chairs. It's a small but cozy space with friendly baristas. I've enjoyed lounging here as well as grabbing a coffee to go and heading over to the lake. I recently tried their blueberry latte, a popular option! I loved the innovative flavor and had to try it, although it was a little heavy on the blueberry for me. It also came with a mini scone on top -- what a cute touch! Lovely spot to catch up over a coffee. Can't wait to be back to try some of their bites, wines, and ice cream as well.

The vibe of this little shop is so cute, I love that it's just an implant in a neighborhood! I got the matcha latte which I thought was expensive for a standard matcha. I wanted to get some merry monarch ice cream but they were all sold out. Over very cute shop.

I love popping by Bottega any time of day because it's located in a tucked away part of Mueller and is always super relaxing to sit and read or work both inside and outside. This time I got the seasonal s'mores latte (their raw cacao latte with added toasted marshmallow syrup and a toasted marshmallow on top). It was so delicious! I got it half sweet so the marshmallow wasn't coming through as much but it was still super yummy. They normally also sell kolaches which are delicious. My only comment is that it is pretty small so if you have a bigger group, or the outdoor table isn't available, it might not be the best option. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Sublime affogato! My father in law spoke really highly of this little shop in Mueller and he wasn't wrong. The coffee and the ice cream is delicious. The honey ice cream was amazing, a perfect creamy match for the generous shots of espresso poured on top. The presentation was also very cute. My husband also had overnight oats and they were good - I stole a bite. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This felt like a true neighborhood hidden gem. This place has outdoor seating so it's best enjoyed during sunny or clement weather. You can also get your stuff to go. Very cute, will be back!

While exploring the many museums across the University of Texas campus, a quick caffeine break was needed for my girlfriend and we were overwhelmed by the number of options on The Drag. It makes sense that there are plenty of places to choose from because of the large number of UT students. Everyone needs a little coffee in their lives. One of the highest reviewed ones with a large pool of ratings was Lucky Lab Coffee and after checking a few quick reviews, we decided to give it a chance. Lucky Lab has five locations in Austin (four on campus) and one location in Dripping Springs. The one we were at off The Drag was their flagship. This location serves a little bit of everything from sandwiches to pastries, salad to quiche, and of course, coffee. As we walked inside the flagship, it is easy to notice how tight the space is. There is very little seating inside at their bar, but they make up for it with plenty of shaded outdoor space that is perfect for a nice day. Scanning their menu, we landed on some drinks from their winter menu. I was intrigued by their Pomegranate Rosemary Latte while my girlfriend tried their Ginger Spice Mocha. We got them both iced. First, it is interesting to see the fusion of pomegranate and rosemary in a latte. I was intrigued by those flavors. Their drink sizes are 12 oz, 16 oz, and 20 oz, each adding an additional 50 cents to each upgrade. All milk alternatives cost 1 dollar. It was only a short wait to get our coffees and the cup with the little lab on it was cute. I think specialty drinks have an opportunity to be amazing and one of a kind or the worst drink imaginable. This pomegranate rosemary latte did not fall into either category exactly, but leaned more toward the latter. I love pomegranates and I always appreciate how earthy rosemary can be in a coffee. One of my favorite lattes I have ever had has rosemary in it. This was just not working for me. I shamefully did not finish my coffee. As for my girlfriend, she did not like her ginger spice mocha. I could not imagine gingerbread syrup not working in a mocha, but after trying it myself it was not for me either. It seems like a perfect match, but here the gingerbread is competing with the chocolate and instead of complementing each other they clash. She told me that the flavors were "un-mocha like". She drank less than half of her coffee before tossing it as well. Neither of us wanted to dislike Lucky Lab. They seem well established and I felt like they were trustworthy based on reviews, but I wonder what these previous reviewers were tweaking on or what magical concoction of coffee granted from heaven above they were sipping on because we were distraught by how disappointing these drinks were. I would like to give Lucky Lab Coffee Co the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe the specialty drinks were not up to par with their traditional beverages. However, the almost 30 different syrup options on their wall make me feel they lack a little focus and try too hard to stand out. They lose what makes a coffee good, which is coffee. I want to say I will give them a second shot in the future to see if it was just an off day or a bad beverage pick. Too many shots turns a Lucky Lab into Old Yeller. The lab needs to be put on a leash before I think about returning. RIYL: options

We've been wanting to check out this shop for quite sometime and finally had the chance. From the minute we walked in the door the vibe was on! Our barista, Litsa was incredible! She was fun and bouncy and had so much positive energy. She even helped me create a concoction of sorts. Like most, lavender is my go-to. But, I also wanted toasted marshmallow and so I was torn. She suggested a combo of the two for my cappuccino (with oat milk of course). Wow! It was spectacular. I was so beyond miserable when I walked in the door (the rain) and she turned things around for me within 30 seconds of interacting. Her positivity and kindness were through the roof! My cappuccino concoction...so good I think it should be a menu feature! The banana guard iced latte my boyfriend got was equally as delicious. It was like an ice cream treat for grown-ups. Everything about the shop is so welcoming. Warm lighting, comfortable seating, and spacious. So much for the eye to take in as they have offerings from local artists and craftspeople for sale. A mini store if you will. All lined neatly on wall hanging shelves. They've got candles, pottery, jewelry, clothing, etc. All the goodies you'd expect to find at a gift and craft, artisan shop. Fitting since the drinks they put out are liquid art. Since it's about a ten-minute walk from home, it'll definitely be a new stop when going to the pet store. Wonderful experience on a dreary day.

The coffee "space" is compact here, but they're using good gear and seem to have the staff to use it well. My espresso was served with sparking water, and was just as I'd hoped, a bright cup with citrus acidity that was well structured, but not overly acidic or bitter at all. It was a winner all around. And let's just say I'm on board with what others have said. I have tried the burgers, fries, sweets/pastries, and of course the drinks. My favorite of all these is a brisket sandwich with their fries! The brisket itself has an amazing sauce which I heard is made in house. This sauce is also used on the burgers and if you order either with their amazingly seasoned fries you won't be disappointed! As for drinks, I loved the Mexicano latte, that's my personal favorite. The spices and the espresso is well balanced and is my go to drink. That said, it is my favorite. They also have a caramel latte, but it is on the sweeter side. It's good, but sweeter than my liking. As for any pastries you get, I tried some of their fan favorite which include the honey cake and wow! As a baker myself, I quite enjoyed this cake since it was moist and the frosting itself was the perfect consistency and texture. It was also not too sweet and not overly powerful, but added what it needed to the cake. Anyways, I come here often, and would recommend to those looking for a sweet spot to enjoy with family.
