The Mueller area is so friggin cool. The walkability of it and the interconnectedness of it makes it ideal for people to live. What's important in a neighborhood community like Mueller is a decent coffee shop. While in the area for lunch, my buddy and I made a stop to get some coffee and fuel us through the rest of the day. Bottega is one of the select few coffee shops in Mueller, so we gave it a shot. I got myself a hot Lavender Latte and my buddy got a cinnamon latte. The drinks were decent. Not anything too special or anything wretched, but decent. If I lived in the area, I could see myself swinging by, especially with how easy it is to access their walk-up window. They have two little spaces to work and chill plus a few outdoor seats. Overall, it's a comfortable spot and a good space if you live in the Mueller area. RIYL: Mueller-area coffee.

This place is so Austin! It's super cute - small and quaint with lots of character. If you're in the Mueller area you've gotta check it out. I ordered their iced raw cacao latte (sweetened) and the breakfast sandwich. Both simple yet excellent. Must try!

Cute little spot to grab a coffee in the Mueller area! I got the salted caramel latte and my pup enjoyed a little free treat Will def swing by anytime I'm in the area even with a big competitor jumping in soon.

Door was locked so order at the window.

I met a coworker here for coffee recently, and funny enough, even though I've lived in Mueller since 2018, I had no idea Bottega was right here in the neighborhood. It honestly feels like a little hidden gem. When you first walk up, there's a sign that says "order at the window," which makes it seem like you can't go inside. I almost thought it was walk-up only. Not the case. After you order, the entrance door is on the right. Push it open and you'll step into the cutest space. The vibe is cozy and retro, with pinks and reds that give it a fun 1970s feel. It's warm and cheerful without trying too hard, the kind of place that just makes you want to sit down and stay awhile. Inside there's counter seating and a small breakfast nook, plus a patio for outdoor seating. They also have access to additional indoor seating in the building next door with a big family style table, extra seating, and a restroom. Both spaces are bright and welcoming. It works great whether you're grabbing something quick at the walk-up window or settling in with your laptop. They've got WiFi and there's usually plenty of free street parking, which is always a bonus in Mueller. Service was lovely. The young woman taking orders was genuinely sweet and happy to answer questions. She shared that their syrups are made in house, which feels like such a thoughtful touch and definitely elevates the drinks. Overall, super cute spot with a relaxed, neighborhood feel. I'm glad I finally found it, and I'll definitely be back for coffee and a treat. (I think they even have ice cream)

Located in the middle of the residential section of Mueller, the first time I went, it was unexpected. It's definitely a neighborhood-vibe joint because the baristas always seem to know what a lot of patrons are going to order. Since I've only been a handful of times and always get something new, I'd not expect that. However, the service is top-notch whether you're a regular or a some-timer. When I take my dog, he's not allowed in the main coffee shop (where you order at the window and then go in). But, the space next door is always available and make for a peaceful spot to rest with him while sipping a beverage and eating a scone. I've never had a bad product here at all. On our last visit I had a seasonal Ginger Snap Latte (iced) and it was everything! The holidays in liquid form I tell you.

3 must-try things you have to order: the blueberry latte, affogato, and bottega spritz! We ordered the affogato with lavender caramel ice cream. The espresso here was super strong but paired well with the sweetness of the ice cream. We didn't realize that particular flavor was from a local vegan ice cream shop, which made sense as the ice cream itself had a strong coconut flavor to it--enjoyed it nonetheless! I know the combination of espresso and blood orange San Pellegrino sounds weird, but definitely try the bottega spritz if you're in the mood for something light and refreshing. Perfect for when you're not in the mood for all the milk that comes in a latte. I loved it so much, I've started looking for it at other coffee shops too. But this is the only place in I've ever been able to find it!

This was good. It's a little place in the Mueller neighborhood area. Finding parking can be hard. We actually went and parked in the garage and walked over. The inside space is small, you order at the window outside, and then you can go indoors. A bit of a step up to get in. They also have some outdoor seating and there's sometime a pup or two to pet there. I went for a little cafe date with my husband. It was chilly so we went inside this time, we got a couple of seats at the bar top. It was nice to watch folks heat up treats and make and bottle their homemade syrup. I ordered a raw cacao latte unsweetened and made with coconut milk. Hubs got himself an Earl Gray tea which he got hot. They were pretty good. He said his was a standard cup of tea. Mine was pretty good! I like a nice bitter but easy drink and the raw cacao was the way to go. I wouldn't go out of my way to comeback, but it's a solid cafe to go to if you're looking for that vibe while at Mueller.

Lemon Matcha and Chocolate Malt swirl (Kid Size)
    Ang F.

Pro tip: Don't overlook ordering soft-served ice cream and baked goods (flavors change quite often and baked goods can run out quick into the afternoon). Kid-sized cup is $3.25. What a cute neighborhood experience! Bottega offers coffee, tea, coffee & tea specialties, beer & wine, baked goods, and of course the soft-serve. Hannah managed the window (where you order) very well. Indoor and outdoor seating with complimentary wifi.

Super cute walk up coffee shop. Patio is adorable and there's also seats inside. Drinks were tasty! Had the salted caramel latte and vanilla latte. The vanilla was definitely more my style but if you're a salty coffee person the salted caramel is pretty good too.

We've been wanting to check out this shop for quite sometime and finally had the chance. From the minute we walked in the door the vibe was on! Our barista, Litsa was incredible! She was fun and bouncy and had so much positive energy. She even helped me create a concoction of sorts. Like most, lavender is my go-to. But, I also wanted toasted marshmallow and so I was torn. She suggested a combo of the two for my cappuccino (with oat milk of course). Wow! It was spectacular. I was so beyond miserable when I walked in the door (the rain) and she turned things around for me within 30 seconds of interacting. Her positivity and kindness were through the roof! My cappuccino concoction...so good I think it should be a menu feature! The banana guard iced latte my boyfriend got was equally as delicious. It was like an ice cream treat for grown-ups. Everything about the shop is so welcoming. Warm lighting, comfortable seating, and spacious. So much for the eye to take in as they have offerings from local artists and craftspeople for sale. A mini store if you will. All lined neatly on wall hanging shelves. They've got candles, pottery, jewelry, clothing, etc. All the goodies you'd expect to find at a gift and craft, artisan shop. Fitting since the drinks they put out are liquid art. Since it's about a ten-minute walk from home, it'll definitely be a new stop when going to the pet store. Wonderful experience on a dreary day.

This place is full vegan and tip free (as is included in the price) I got a dirty chai latte with oat milk. It tasted very natural, like the oatmeal was handmade or something. Very natural and creamy. The inside was very colorful, decorated, with many shops from artists in the Austin area. There was plenty of seating. The only thing is that it is very pricy and I didn't get an itemized receipt in the text, so I'm not sure exactly how much the drinks, tax, and tip were. I liked this place, and would come back in the future!
