The Mueller area is so friggin cool. The walkability of it and the interconnectedness of it makes it ideal for people to live. What's important in a neighborhood community like Mueller is a decent coffee shop. While in the area for lunch, my buddy and I made a stop to get some coffee and fuel us through the rest of the day. Bottega is one of the select few coffee shops in Mueller, so we gave it a shot. I got myself a hot Lavender Latte and my buddy got a cinnamon latte. The drinks were decent. Not anything too special or anything wretched, but decent. If I lived in the area, I could see myself swinging by, especially with how easy it is to access their walk-up window. I met a coworker here for coffee recently, and funny enough, even though I've lived in Mueller since 2018, I had no idea Bottega was right here in the neighborhood. It honestly feels like a little hidden gem. When you first walk up, there's a sign that says "order at the window," which makes it seem like you can't go inside. I almost thought it was walk-up only. Not the case. After you order, the entrance door is on the right. Push it open and you'll step into the cutest space. The vibe is cozy and retro, with pinks and reds that give it a fun 1970s feel. It's warm and cheerful without trying too hard, the kind of place that just makes you want to sit down and stay awhile. Inside there's counter seating and a small breakfast nook, plus a patio for outdoor seating. They also have access to additional indoor seating in the building next door with a big family style table, extra seating, and a restroom. Both spaces are bright and welcoming. It works great whether you're grabbing something quick at the walk-up window or settling in with your laptop. They've got WiFi and there's usually plenty of free street parking, which is always a bonus in Mueller. Service was lovely. The young woman taking orders was genuinely sweet and happy to answer questions. She shared that their syrups are made in house, which feels like such a thoughtful touch and definitely elevates the drinks. Overall, super cute spot with a relaxed, neighborhood feel. Located in the middle of the residential section of Mueller, the first time I went, it was unexpected. It's definitely a neighborhood-vibe joint because the baristas always seem to know what a lot of patrons are going to order. Since I've only been a handful of times and always get something new, I'd not expect that. However, the service is top-notch whether you're a regular or a some-timer. When I take my dog, he's not allowed in the main coffee shop (where you order at the window and then go in). But, the space next door is always available and make for a peaceful spot to rest with him while sipping a beverage and eating a scone. I've never had a bad product here at all. On our last visit I had a seasonal Ginger Snap Latte (iced) and it was everything! The holidays in liquid form I tell you. read more

The espresso here was super strong but paired well with the sweetness of the ice cream. We didn't realize that particular flavor was from a local vegan ice cream shop, which made sense as the ice cream itself had a strong coconut flavor to it--enjoyed it nonetheless! I know the combination of espresso and blood orange San Pellegrino sounds weird, but definitely try the bottega spritz if you're in the mood for something light and refreshing. This was good. It's a little place in the Mueller neighborhood area. Finding parking can be hard. We actually went and parked in the garage and walked over. The inside space is small, you order at the window outside, and then you can go indoors. A bit of a step up to get in. They also have some outdoor seating and there's sometime a pup or two to pet there. I went for a little cafe date with my husband. It was chilly so we went inside this time, we got a couple of seats at the bar top. It was nice to watch folks heat up treats and make and bottle their homemade syrup. I ordered a raw cacao latte unsweetened and made with coconut milk. Hubs got himself an Earl Gray tea which he got hot. They were pretty good. He said his was a standard cup of tea. Mine was pretty good! I like a nice bitter but easy drink and the raw cacao was the way to go. I wouldn't go out of my way to comeback, but it's a solid cafe to go to if you're looking for that vibe while at Mueller. read more

My first time going i ordered a tea and it was okay. I waited on a table outside for my drink to be made while other customers ordered. I went back after 3 minutes to get my tea and noticed a woman who ordered after me had her drink personally brought out to her outside in the same area i was at. I checked out their Maegel's Bagel pop up this time but have also been to Bottega multiple times in the past just for coffee/matcha. They have never disappointed. You order at the to go window, but they have seating inside and outside. Their coffee menu has all the classics, but it has some surprises, too (raw cacao latte, affogato, a coffee spritz, and more). I am such a stick in the mud over coffee (I always order the same thing) and enjoyed my iced americano (perfect on a hot day - especially since I'm no longer used to Texas summer heat). I've enjoyed lounging here as well as grabbing a coffee to go and heading over to the lake. I recently tried their blueberry latte, a popular option! I loved the innovative flavor and had to try it, although it was a little heavy on the blueberry for me. It also came with a mini scone on top -- what a cute touch! Sublime affogato! My father in law spoke really highly of this little shop in Mueller and he wasn't wrong. The coffee and the ice cream is delicious. The honey ice cream was amazing, a perfect creamy match for the generous shots of espresso poured on top. The presentation was also very cute. Suuuuch a cute spot. Went with two friends. They got lattes and I got a golden milk. They liked their lattes. No complaints from them. Nothing to rave about, but a decent caffeinated showing. Me? I almost threw up in my mouth when I sipped my golden milk. I scrounged in my bag for anything to get the taste out, and all I had was as tums which luckily covered that ungodly taste. The golden milk tasted like sweaty armpits. I make golden milk at home all the time. I love turmeric. But idk what's in their golden milk, but it was awful. Their cafe menu really made my heart sing with all of their unique takes on the classics. Think raw cacao lattes, matcha with a little lemon pellegrino spritz, espresso with a splash of orange pellegrino, and so much more! I'm taking notes and will be recreating at home. My husband loved his cold brew and my raw cacao latte was not-too-sweet and the perfect pick-me-up after a morning at the nearby children museum. I stopped in for a cappuccino on my way to OrangeTheory. I've been here a few times before without issues, but this visit was disappointing. I ordered an iced cappuccino with almond milk, but received an iced latte made with regular milk. When I politely asked for the correct drink--explaining that I'm dairy-free--the barista responded with attitude and implied I should be charged extra for the mistake, even though it wasn't mine. The drink was then handed back to me in a dismissive manner. The space is cute, but the coffee is mediocre and the customer service left a lot to be desired. I love popping by Bottega any time of day because it's located in a tucked away part of Mueller and is always super relaxing to sit and read or work both inside and outside. This time I got the seasonal s'mores latte (their raw cacao latte with added toasted marshmallow syrup and a toasted marshmallow on top). It was so delicious! I got it half sweet so the marshmallow wasn't coming through as much but it was still super yummy. They normally also sell kolaches which are delicious. My only comment is that it is pretty small so if you have a bigger group, or the outdoor table isn't available, it might not be the best option. Truly had the best experience here this weekend. This is the kinda place I'm talking about. A little house over in the Muller area, a few lovely ladies making delicious pastries & coffee. Every single person was so sweet & made you feel like you were just hanging at the house while things were prepared. We sat at the "bar" top at the kitchen & these wonderful people were just washing dishes, cleaning things etc & it just felt so safe & warm inside. It's pink on the inside too, so no notes there. For ice cream we had a cup of "the persian honeycomb which contains almond, cardamom, ricotta, saffron, rose, and pistachio honeycomb candy". Sweet but unique taste. From the quotes you can tell I stole the description from someone else's review. Besides the coffee and ice cream it's a little bit of a neighborhood wine bar. The selection seems pretty good. Not yet listed on the menu was a glass of a Primitivo. The name escapes me, but I enjoyed the taste so I will say they are as discerning as I am in my tastes. :) Not a place for a pilgrimage, but definitely a great place to stop in while on a walk and meet some of your neighbors and their dogs.
