It was our first time visiting this Hopdoddy Burger Bar location, and we decided to try their vegetarian options--and overall, it was a great experience! We ordered the El Bandito Veggie Burger, the Vegetarian El Diablo Burger, Parmesan truffle fries, and a banana shake. The El Bandito Veggie Burger was one of the staff's recommendations, and we were really happy we went with it. All of Hopdoddy's vegetarian burgers are made with black bean and corn patties, which were flavorful, hearty, and well-seasoned. The basil pesto in the El Bandito was a standout and paired perfectly with the patty. The Vegetarian El Diablo Burger was tasty but very spicy for us! If you love bold heat, this burger is definitely for you. For our spice tolerance, it packed a serious punch, and we were grateful to have the shake to cool things down. The Parmesan truffle fries were crispy, aromatic, and absolutely delicious--easily one of the highlights of the meal. The banana shake was creamy and refreshing, though a bit sweeter than we prefer. It would be great to have an option to customize the sweetness. Overall, we had a really enjoyable dining experience and appreciated the solid vegetarian options. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving a good burger. Cheers

I got the bacon burger and wow... easily one of the best burgers I've had in Texas. I almost never call a burger a 10 out of 10, but this one honestly deserves it. The flavors were perfect, the burger was juicy, and everything just worked together so well. This is officially one of my all time favorite burgers. I'd come back again and again, and I'm definitely bringing friends next time. If you're a burger person, this spot is a must

Had the classic burger wrapped in lettuce, no bun. Also got a side of their sweet potato fries. Loved the burger. The meat is juicy, the lettuce is crisp, I did get cheese on it too, and that was melty and yummy. The sweet potato fries are so good. Crispy on the outside and soft and warm inside. Their dipping sauce is really good too. Service was fantastic. The gentleman that took my order was charming, and upbeat.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar had a menu mostly populated with burgers but did find an alternate option with the Thunderbird. It was described with fresh ground chicken patty topped with pepper jack cheese, steakhouse bacon, seared poblanos, pico de gallo, guacamole, lettuce and chipotle aioli sauce. It's a pretty big chicken burger and a knife is provided to cut it in half. It was a lot of ingredients but it all worked very well and tasty with great flavor. The staff was nice and friendly. The place itself had great atmosphere as a great place to hang out. They have both indoor, bar and outdoor seating with no problem parking here.

I love the fact that you can get a burger as a salad. But, I miss the turkey burger (no longer on the menu) and they have changed their salad offerings recently. The ground chicken burger is fine, just not as good. Staff is friendly and always greet you as you walk in. Nice indoor and outdoor seating.

Food: We got the truffle fries a few of their burgers and the picadillo fries. Everything tasted really good. The truffle fries sauce was a hit. Burger was really good. Service: The staff were really nice and greeted everyone who came in. My son dropped the single patty we had gotten him and an employee noticed so she order us a new one free of charge. Ambiance: We came with some family and had an over all good time. Kid friendly. Nice and moody but not too moody. The place was filled with both families and couples. The area was clean.

Yay!!! I'm more excited about this than the gluten free buns.

I frequent this restaurant often but never again. Today, I took a friend for burgers. Because I am allergic to wheat, I ordered my burger with a gluten free bun. It was very good as usual. My friend had never been and enjoyed her salad very much. When we were about to leave I went over the bill as it seemed a little high. I saw that I was charged $2.50 for my gluten free bun! (Just the bun!!) I asked the server if this was a mistake and was told no. I can buy an entire loaf of gf bread for less and will not be back. Too bad the manager got greedy. Very happy to let my gf friends on Yelp know this.

I wanted a burger my last day in Austin. Found this spot while driving around with my friend. Here you order your food and drinks, then sit anywhere. We sat outside because it was a nice October night. Imside was a little chilly. They had sports on the televisions. They bring the food out to you. The sweet potatoes were delicious. The burger was juicy and cooked well. My frozen margarita hit the spot.

Good spot to grab a quick lunch or dinner! Our burgers and fries came out so quick / less than 10 minutes for sure! Service was great, one guy even brought our dog a water bowl so that was really nice! They also offer GLUTEN FREE buns! There is a pretty big bar inside and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I got the goodnight good cause burger with jalapeños and bbq sauce and grilled onions and we shared the hot honey sage sweet potato fries

Me and my boyfriend came here for lunch the other day and Hopdoddy's always hits the spot! This is my first time eating at this location but it is just as good as every other location I have been to. The service was great and the food was fantastic as always. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had in Austin. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but the Wagyu Smashburger was incredible. We also always get the green chili queso fries and occasionally split a milkshake which is always delicious. I'd definitely recommend this spot to anyone that's looking for a good burger!!

Visiting from out of town so took our children out for a quick dinner. We were confused when we got there on whether to sit ourselves or order and where to order. We were about to sit down when an employee noticed and directed us to order first and they will assign the table. The gentleman that took our order was kind and helpful, especially with 9 people putting in orders. The food arrived very quickly which surprised me and everyone was satisfied with the flavors. The place does have a bar and they also offer boozy milkshakes. It was dimly lit and not too crowded but had a steady flow of customers.

This place was suggested by a friend and it did not disappoint. The people and service were great. I had the chicken tika masala burger with some sweet potato fries. Made perfectly. The location is very inviting and the energy is great for friends or a date.

Hopdoddy offers some of the best burgers of any burger chain in the area. The ingredients are fresh and the burgers are cooked to perfect temperature. The fries were seasoned well and the ginger lemonade was refreshing. It was not very busy at lunch around noon on Monday so the food came out pretty quickly. There was ample seating both inside and outside to choose from. The service was great and I had nothing to pick on whatsoever.

The space mixes art deco with a little bit of Spanish flair, tucked beside/adjacent to Mama Betty's. It's big, but arranged in a way that still feels cozy and social. The crowd? Late 20s to early 40s. Grown and attractive. Lively but not chaotic. Vibrant without being loud. Perfect for dressing up a little, socializing and lingering a little. We Ubered there, so I didn't get a full picture of the parking, but it seems like there may be a little parking garage or validated parking area? Maybe a pay for parking? I would read other reviews. Most of the staff? Fantastic. Professional, warm, funny. Our assigned waitress, however, gave off overwhelmed and low-energy. She was short with communication and it sort of dulled our sparkle for a moment, but the drinks and vibes quickly brought it back. Had we had another waitress, this place would have been a 10 out of 10. On to the drinks: Round one: espresso martinis (made with Tito's). Slightly sweet, bold, smooth, and very sippable. No coffee bean decorations on top, but full of flavor. No cream inside...sort of reminding you of a Black Russian. Served in a ribbed coupe glass. Round two: French 75s with Hendrick's. Punchy lemon flavor, a tad sweet, lower champagne notes but still giving French 75. Garnished with a dried lime slice instead of a lemon. Served elegant in those ribbed coupe glasses (which fit the aesthetic perfectly). The cocktails are well-crafted and intentional. They aren't overly boozy, but they are balanced, smooth and polished. Bathrooms? Immaculate. Unisex. Private stall rooms with their own individual doors. Efficient and modern. No long lines. Opportunity to mingle with the opposite sex in the bathroom if that suits your fancy. Foxtail feels like a good place to start a new chapter. We had good conversations and we enjoyed staying out just a little longer than we planned. Their Happy Hour (4:30-6pm weekdays) is officially on my radar for the future. I'll be back. I want this place to be routine. 9 out of 10.

Drinks are expensive and served in what feels like miniature target brand, low-quality glasses, which makes the value proposition hard to justify the steep $14 price. The space is set up like a bright, casual brunch hall rather than a cocktail bar--harsh, bright lighting, uncomfortable wooden chairs, and basic wooden square tables that don't align with the concept AT ALL. There's no food offering, yet the environment feels designed for daytime dining rather than an evening bar experience. From a design and hospitality standpoint, it's difficult to understand how this made it to opening in its current state. Even a VERY basic understanding of lighting and ambiance would suggest this setup is fundamentally mismatched--ESPECIALLY for something like a date night. Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. Nothing can express emotions and instill a feeling in 3 minutes like a song can. I live for that. Equipment Room is inherently Japanese in concept. Existing in Japan for over 50 years, listening bars combine high fidelity audio equipment with impressively crafted cocktails and alcohol combining the passion of music in a space to gather with comfortable chairs and a beautiful atmosphere. The concept has expanded westward as all cool things inevitably do, but I would never think a spot would be successful in Austin like it would be in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and so on. As I back my car into a parking spot on South Congress, I grab the umbrella out of my trunk and walk my girlfriend and me to the entrance trying to not get ourselves soaked in the process. This is not the first time we have tried to go to Equipment Room. We tried to get a walk-in table just to see out of morbid curiosity and that was a failure. I booked her and me a table for this night and I was madly looking forward to it. As we got to the small entrance, we were introduced to the hostess who brought us from the stairs into the main underground space and to our seats on the couch in a large wraparound sofa with other parties sitting near us. The music is faint from the entrance, but once you walk through the main walkway, a wave of sound hits your eardrums. You're immediately engrossed into the music like walking into a concert hall or putting a fresh pair of headphones on for the first time. As we sat down, selections from Outkast's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik were playing through the speakers. Our hostess introduced us to their "User Manual" (their menu) where it contained all the snacks and drinks you could get your grubby hands on. There's more than just drinks and food on the menu. The first page introduces the concept and gives a few house rules. The second page shows all the equipment this so-called room has, from the premium Klipsch speakers, their preamps and amplifiers as well as their turntables and mixers. It's a dream page for music nerds. I want a $15k speaker in my apartment, but those noise complaints would never end. Our waitress came by shortly to give us water and take our order. Their menu is quite expansive, but the main pages we were told to check out were their A-side drinks or the classics and their B-side drinks, which are more experimental. We had to go with experimental for starters because who knows when you'll get to try something similar again. I started with a Goca Dünya while my girlfriend ordered a Deceptacon. The Goca Dünya was a vodka based floral drink with pistachio foam and Amaro Nonino, an Italian herbal liqueur. The Deceptacon was a rum-based cacao drink with a touch of lime and mint. It took a little time for our drinks to come out, clearly, as they are quite intricate. I loved my drink, bluntly. The pistachio foam was a great balance to the herbal flavors at the bottom. My girlfriend and I continued to enjoy each other's company as the music continued. The space we were in was decorated with posters and memorabilia from legendary artists coming through Austin and some general music decor like that purple album from that Prince guy. The DJ-curator that night was on a tear playing incredible soul music holding the bar hostage with a taste of funk. Jimmy Smith came next before transitioning to a few tracks from Bobbie Gentry. The last albums he pulled out were Steely Dan's Aja (a stone cold classic) and Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life (a top 10 album of all time). Not only was he playing classics like Isn't She Lovely, but he threw down some deeper cuts like Black Man and Contusion. Incredible. We both got another drink with my girlfriend getting their A-Side Espresso Martini while I got the Brown Sugar from their B-Sides. It was a seaweed and mushroom infused whiskey with a few more bells and whistles and it was super unique. Quite a bit of their menu is Japanese-inspired in homage to the originators of listening bars. This includes Japanese beer, sake, and Japanese-inspired food and beverages on their menu. Very cool. The worst part of the night came when our hour and 45 minute reservation came to a close. I could've stayed there for another 3 hours and never grown tired, but with how popular this space has become, they gotta kick you out at some point. This is an experience you have to have. It's worth it. I'll be strolling back in soon enough because there is nothing like this in Austin and it's truly a special space. RIYL: Actively listening to music.

They play no digital music and their speakers are installed throughout the whole building. The sound is great! The menu was so cute and on theme. The furniture and decor is mid century modern. I went here for my birthday and they gave my table a round of Sake shots, which was nice! My table ordered drinks: the Brown Sugar, Goca Dünya, Suffer No Fool (non alcoholic), Vitamin C. They were all delicious and they did not skimp on the alcohol! It was well balanced! I seriously recommend the Goca Dünya--that pistachio foam was addictive! For food, we got the Cheese board to have something to pick on and we demolished it, haha. It came with marmalade and crackers. The cheeses were great, along with the dried fruits and nuts. The cheese selections seem to rotate every other season, which is cool.

Great house music from the DJ, friendly staff, and an easygoing atmosphere that's perfect for hanging out. I was having a sober night and tried a few drinks from their Dry January Specials menu. Wow, they did not disappoint. The Alrighty Aphrodite was delicious, and the So Fresh, So Clean was exactly that, super refreshing with a great pineapple flavor. My husband had the Dusty Trail (strong and perfect for bourbon lovers) and a Coquito that was creamy and smooth with a hint of cinnamon. Parking is limited, but we found street parking nearby. Overall, great drinks, great music, and a spot I'll definitely keep coming back to.

Marlow's has a really in interesting and delicious drink menu. I tried both mocktails (option to add THC) and really enjoyed them both. Most mocktails with NA liquor have honestly tasted a bit weird and a bit off. I usually have one and call it a day. However, I really enjoyed the first one that I tried the second one, which I also liked. The bartenders work amazingly fast and take multiple drink orders at a time and don't miss a beat! There's street parking and during weekdays, it's free to park after a certain hour.
