The best Thai food ever. This place has a great environment for a date very homie and great service with kind people you can't beat!

First time here and first time in Pasadena! Came here on Friday around 7 and found the spot and area to be not too busy (if not a little too quiet for a Friday night). Sat down and ordered the Pad Tai with Chicken and Kimchi Fried Rice with Beef. Both came out hot and was more than enough for two people. Good flavor and the meat was not over cooked while the noodles and rice were also prepared well. Although the ambiance of the place was quaint, their drink options are pretty limited in terms of beer and wine. As well, they close early for a Friday night (8:30) and seemed to be in a rush to get customers--including me and my company--out by 8:30. Even though letting us know that they close soon and offering last call on food (around 8:00), when I attempted to order a beer (while still finishing one), they noted that they would bring it after I finished (I had less than half a glass left). Upon finishing my beer around 8:10 the waitress attempted to convince me to not order the beer or to take it to go. The fact is they should not have taken my order for a beer to begin with at around 8:00 if they were not going to allow me to drink it in the restaurant. Again, this appeared to be more due to them wanting to close at 8:30 and not due to any concerns around serving me another drink as I had had the beer with my meal and such without causing an issue to them. Thus, if you do decide to arrive here do so with plenty of time as longer stays that brush up against closing time may not be ideal. Again, not speaking badly as I know folks have homes and families they want to get to, but do not offer another food dish or drink if not willing to honor such. For just that reason, I give it a 4/5 stars. read more

The food is really delicious. A combo of sweet, Savory, fragrant flavors. We went there for dinner on a Saturday night around 8pm. We ordered papaya salad, chicken yellow curry, shrimp green curry. I was a little skeptical coming here for Thai food since the parking seems a little inconvenient. After coming here, I have so much regrets for not visiting sooner because this spot has amazing Thai food. I am a big Thai food fan and I've tried so many different Thai restaurants in the LA area and this is for sure on the top 5 of my list now. The restaurant is pretty small so make sure to come early to avoid the wait. The service was great. My friend and I were immediately greeted and seated once we entered the restaurant. We ordered the signature Daisy Noodles and the Honey Pork with rice and green apple salsa. - Daisy Noodles: a different take on Pad Thai. The same pad thai noodle but with an incredibly delicious, rich and creamy panang curry. Served with cooked beansprouts and shredded lettuce. - Honey Pork: the pork was marinated and cooked so well to deliver an umami and savory taste. The green apple salsa takes it to another level. The dish pairs very well with steamed rice, which is included with the order, unlike other Thai restaurants where you have to pay extra. Parking: there is a shared lot behind the store with 3 dedicated spots for Daisy Mint. It's actually easier to just park on the street but make sure to check the signs for any parking restrictions/ tow aways. Pasadena parking fines can get hefty. read more

I've only had takeout, so I'm not sure if it's the same when dining in, but the portions aren't very generous with the protein. We've been here a couple times for weekend lunch and have come to enjoy the lunch specials here. Our favorites so far are the Green Curry Beef and Steak Salad. Water tastes filtered, so thumbs up. Fig Sprout, one of my favorites, has unfortunately closed down several months ago. We were told some of their menu items were going to be sold at their sister restaurant Daisy Mint so we decided to give it a try. We actually didn't see many of the same dishes and they primarily served Thai food. We ordered the duck roll, roti and curry, and pad see ew. Everything we got was solid. Okay so I'm going to be completely honest here- I wasn't expecting much from a cutesy Thai restaurant in Pasadena and went in thinking the food would be white-washed or americanized versions of Thai dishes. Whatever the reason, that was the mini prejudice I had, but I still wanted to check out the restaurant if only for the ambiance (I'm big on ambiance). Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved Daisy Mint! The quality of the dishes and the flavors were all on point. I ordered their signature Daisy noodles and it was delicious. The dish super flavorful and if I had to describe the taste, I would say the flavor profile is similar to that of panang curry. The noodles were cooked perfectly and they were generous with the heaping amount of mix-in veggies. Honestly the entire dish was huge and incredibly filling. My friend ordered the drunken noodles and she loved her food as well. We are both very picky with Thai food, but Daisy Mint definitely satisfied our cravings. Today we dined in and ordered two dishes, one of them being the coconut seafood soup. The order was served, but it came with chicken instead. When I brought it to their attention and explained that we wanted it with seafood, the waiter said, "Oh, sorry, we only have chicken, tofu, etc. for now-we don't have seafood at this time." First of all, why didn't they tell us beforehand that seafood wasn't available and instead chose to serve whatever they wanted? Second, we were still finishing our food and hadn't asked for the check, yet the waiter decided to bring it anyway-even though we planned to order more. Lastly, as we were about to leave, the worker asked my mother's friend for a tip. Not only is it rude to ask for a tip, but the real question is: why would we tip a place where we weren't satisfied with the service? read more

This Thai restaurant is off Colorado about a block away from PCC. We ordered from the lunch special menu and we got the pad sew with chicken, yellow chicken curry with rice and a Thai ice tea for $28. All in all it's a good value and there was plenty of street parking on Thursday before noon. The quality was good and the flavor was on point. read more

Daisy Mint is a very solid option for thai cravings! The daisy noodles were good. Personally I think I might just get curry and rice next time. I like being able to balance how much curry I take in with every bite. Be sure to add in some protein as this dish normally doesn't come with one. We also got the papaya salad and that was good! I hope they'll consider adding some Thai chilies in there for some heat. If you love lime, this is for you. I wasn't that hungry and was craving some soup so I ordered a small chicken Tom Yum Soup ($7.45). The soup was tasty with the standard mushrooms, chicken, cilantro, and green onions. I also ordered a bowl of steamed rice on the side and was surprised at how pricy it was ($2.95). Almost $3 for a plain bowl of rice?? The drinks were delicious. I ordered a milk green tea which was the perfect level of creamy and sweet ($3.95). My friend also really enjoyed her Vietnamese Coffee. Overall, decent Thai food but definitely overpriced. Updating my review to give 5 stars. I've returned to Daisy Mint quite a few times and everything has been excellent. Their green curry is a must for me. The pad Thai is perfectly tangy, sweet & acidic. Pineapple fried rice is delicious too. And the crab rangoons!! Wonderful. Between the honey pork and waterfall pork, I think I prefer the waterfall. Amazingly, ridiculously affordable for the area, huge portions, fresh ingredients. The daisy noodles had a wonderful flavor profile, and the roti & curry reminded me of authentic Singaporean hawker food from when I was growing up. Hands down the best Thaifood in Pasadena. They have many selections from noodles to soup. My favorite is definitely their curry, very authentic with perfectly cooked rice. This was recommended by the hotel manager and I'm so glad he recommended Daisy Mint! It was close enough to walk so we walked from the Rose & Crown Hotel. This is why we could smell the deliciousness before even getting there! It's a small little place but the food was oh so good! The Daisy mint is off the main drag of Pasadena. It's on Colorado but very Far East. If you're not paying attention you can pass it entirely. This place is super quaint and yes I mean cozy. The decor is shabby chic and it's very clean. They also have a patio area in the back if it's not too cold. They do have heat lamps but cold is cold. My favorite dish here is the eggplant salad with no meat. My second favorite is the kimchi chicken rice and I love their version on Tom Yum soup. They actually take out the lemongrass shoots before serving. I've had the rib-eye here before but I didn't see on the menu on my last visit. That was post Christmas 2022. The servers are very friendly it's the local snobs that can put a damper on your visit. Just ignore them! I will always return and highly recommend this place. read more

My friend and I planned to picnic at Lacy Park and stopped by to pick up some snacks. We both ordered the Roti & Curry to-go. I wasn't that big of a fan since the roti was deep fried and greasy as hell, not the usual pan fried ones that I'm used to.
