Daisy Mint take out (in times of Covid) ~ A god send. Truly. Easy to call and place the order on a Friday night. Pulled up right in front of the shop, hopped off, and the food was ready within minutes. There were several customers waiting around for their orders, but there weren't any crazy long lines forming outside the small-ish restaurant. Kept it simple with chicken pad thai and chicken pad see ew and both were absolutely delicious and great, filling portions. We are about a 25 minute drive from the restaurant and when we got home our food was still warm. Of course eating in the restaurant would have guaranteed fresher texture, but the noodles were so extremely delicious and perfectly sticky & saucy upon first bite that I decided not to risk it by unnecessarily reheating the dishes. I should also add that even after eating my entire portion (don't @ me!), I didn't feel like the food was heavy. It tasted much cleaner than other Thai food I've had. Yes, I had a massive food baby but Daisy Mint is definitely serving up some higher quality dishes! It was worth coming here and we all lived far away from Sunland & La Crescenta. You can tell the food was delicious & every dish has the taste of "wok flavor". Holy cow! I needed a quick and easy dinner while traveling for work. I ordered from Daisy Mint using a deliver app and couldn't have been more pleased. I had my food in about 20 minutes from the time I ordered and it was delicious. First of all, the egg rolls are amazing! They were light and crispy. Not too greasy from being fried. And they put glass noodles in the egg roll and serve them with a ridiculously tasty sweet & sour sauce. I could eat them everyday! My main dish was Pad See Ew with chicken. The noodles are amazing but the sauce is the star. I definitely recommend this dish. Great place for Thai food, especially for those who prefer not to eat too spicy. The portions are huge. We shared six dishes between five people and still had plenty of leftovers. Every noodle dish was amazing. They're all super flavorful and the noodles are cooked perfectly. They definitely do not skimp on the proteins and veggies. Definitely try the Pad Thai because there's something unique about the flavor here and it's great. I came in on Tuesday with a friend a little bit before 7:30pm. The shop is very cute hole in the wall. There were limited seating, probably because half of the side is used for orders for takeout and the other is for dining. There was only one other party of two when we went in. We ordered the duck roll, drunken noodles with chicken and pad see ew with beef. The duck rolls were interesting. I was not expecting it to be wrapped in a tortilla like shell. For some reason, I was thinking more of a rice paper wrap that's more traditional. The sauce that came with it was pretty good with the duck. And you can actually taste the duck flavor. It only comes in four small pieces. My friend and I weren't really impressed by this. The drunken noodles were okay. Pretty standard nothing really special. I've made drunken noodles at home and honestly, I might prefer my own instead. The drunken noodles weren't very saucy here. There was plenty of chicken though which I appreciated but the ratio of chicken to noodles were off. I felt like they lacked noodles which is sad because it's a primary noodle dish. It comes topped with grape tomatoes, bell peppers and onions. My friends pad see ew was also pretty standard in her opinion. The Chinese broccoli pieces were huge in there and it was almost a struggle to bite down. As for the service, they were very attentive. They came by and refilled our waters and asked if everything was okay. I mean considering we were the only ones left and they were closing at 8:30pm. It was almost like they were rushing us out. I understand they were closing soon so I get that they wanna clean and go home. They asked if everything was okay and I said yes and asked for some boxes. My friend was still eating her plate when I was boxing my food. So when they came back to grab my plate they almost took her plate thinking she was also done. Which I found a little rude, because you can tell if someone is actively eating versus not. And she was clearly eating with a fork in her hand. We received our check at 8:10pm and left about 5 minutes later. Unfortunately, they also forgot to give my friend her card back and it wasn't until we left the restaurant and and were already halfway back towards West Hollywood that she realized it. When we called it was already closed and nobody picked up. She called back in the morning and they had her card so she had to drive all the way back to Pasadena to grab it. Overall, it was a okay experience. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing or maybe it was just too late to have a great experience. I was doing work at a coffee shop in Pasadena, and one of my Yelp friends invited me to lunch. I agreed, and we met here. I found parking along Colorado Blvd, and thankfully it was not hard to find. I parked 25 meters from the main entrance, and my friend found parking right in front of the place. Getting seated was no problem either, as we made it just before lunch hour to most places in the vicinity. I'm not sure how long the wait would be during the lunch rush, though. I decided to order a salmon plate, which came with rice and a salad. My friend ordered a seafood/noodle bowl. Both meals were delicious, and my meal sat well with me the rest of the day. A cute little family Thai shop in Pasadena. They have limited seating inside, but also have extra seating in their back door patio area. The restaurant is located on a big street, so street parking is not hard to find at all. Tried three items from their menu: 1) Tom Yum soup: I love everything that a tom yum soup has to offer. The different types of flavor in one dish is a guaranteed explosion in your mouth. Although it wasn't bad, I found that the Tom yum soup here was lacking a little something. This also just came in a regular bowl rather than the typical serving pot, so it wasn't super hot. 2) Pad Thai: A classic. I feel like you can judge a good Thai spot based on either it's pad Thai or pad see ew. This pad Thai was overly sweet for me and I found myself wanting some savoriness, so I opted out for spice. The portion was extremely generous. 3) Thai BBQ Chicken: My favorite from all the items I tried. The chicken was huge and extremely flavorful. Keep in mind, it does take a little while for them to grill so it can come out a little late. It was bone in, so it was annoying to navigate a little bit. My husband was craving Thai food one night and I had to oblige. Daisy Mint was recommended to me by a close friend, this is her go to place to satisfy her Thai craving. My only grievances with the food were that the chicken satay was a bit dry and tough to eat and the steak salad was bland. Located just a short walk from my condo is, what I think, the best Thai food restaurant in Pasadena. The restaurant may be small but it sure is big on flavorful food. Our geology department at Caltech has ordered many a catered lunch of student or faculty events for over 8+ years and they have always delivered on their food taste and quality. This time I treated myself. A friend gave me a $50 gift card so I decided on using it. So what did I order. The spice Daisy Wings, Chilies and Basil with Beef, Fried brown rice with Chicken and Pad Thai with Pork. I phoned in my order after I got off work on a Friday night. I was told that it would be ready in about 25 minutes. After waiting and then walking into the restaurant I was told my order will be out in about 10 minutes. There were about 4 other people waiting for their to-go orders. When my name was called all I had to pay out of pocket, with my gift card, was $12 plus tip. My order was heavy. This was a lot of food for the money. When I got to my condo I made myself a plate with a little of everything I ordered. I had never had their wings so I dug right into them first. The wing were juicy with the right amount of heat. Another item I had never ordered was their Chilies and Basil with Beef. Excellent. The beef was very tender and overall the whole dish was perfect with the peppers and basil. I've had their Pad Thai with chicken but I had never had it with pork and it was great. The pork was tender and flavorful. I think I like it better then with chicken but that just me. Finally the fried rice. I've had their fried rice but never with brown rice. It was perfect and so was the chicken that I ordered with the rice. So in my over then 8 years of happily eating and ordering their food I have never had a bad experience. The one and only thing I have never done is sit and eat in the restaurant and that will be next. I can hardly wait. I stopped by after a long drive from Valencia on a Saturday. The place was small and cozy. The service was efficient and professional. Waiters ensured our water cups were filled and did light table touches. I ordered the green curry with chicken, the drunken noodles with beef, and some sides of rice. The curry was well seasoned, good consistency, not watery, and had some of the freshest, crispest vegetables. The chicken was just ok, it relied on the curry and vegetables and just served as a protein in the dish. The drunken noodles with beef is great. I typically expect very low quality & unseasoned meat, but this one blew my mind. The beef was tender, perfectly seasoned, and went well with the drunken noodles veggies and spice. Oh yes, I ordered the noodles spicy and they definitely packed the heat. The drunken noodles also had some fresh, crispy vegetables which really satisfied my palate. Typically with curries, you may expect wilted, soft veggies, so just be mindful of this if you have an elderly person or you yourself cannot tolerate crispy, crunchy veggies.
