Anyone who complains about Cyrano's is a miserable git. They have an extensive menu so, there's plenty of choice for all to enjoy. We bring our dog here and she's always up for some chicken Apple sausage. Their salsa is fresh with a hint of spice which suits most of the dishes here if ye like a bit of heat. Organic coffee and delightful service makes this place a winner in our books. Thank you the young heads who work here and go out of their way to please the snobs who patronize here. It has been a great pleasure to enjoy many pleasant hours, and delicious food and company at Cyranos Cafe, Chapman Ave, Orange. The atmosphere is warm filled with the the robust aroma of freshly brewed coffee beans. We are greeted by friendly staff and a collegiate feel located in close proximity with Santiago Canyon College. This is definitely a neighborhood cafe, where I regularly encounter friends from my block and surrounding community. One of my neighbors is an an avid fellow cyclist. In fact, an informal gathering of cyclists appears most Sunday mornings for coffee and breakfast after a ride. Service is great, and always appreciate the variety of muffins and pastries available under the glass. Also, enjoy the mixturing of younger and mature patrons pleasantly commingling at tables or lounging on a couch or overstuffed chair. All in all, a warm pleasant daily gathering of like minded friends. read more

This place is SO cool! Cyrano de Bergerac is one of my favorites, so I love the theme and thought put into their name. On top of that, there is a total Northern California hippie vibe going on in this place. Super comfy atmosphere, little nook tucked away at the bottom of the canyon. The food was yummy and they had interesting drinks they offered. Love the decor and atmosphere they've created. I'm happy to have a little place like this near my neighborhood. read more

After going to Irvine Park with a friend I remembered this little restaurant that was tucked up against the hills and decided to try it again. I'm spoiled and usually go to full service places, so I had to go to the counter to place my order, which was fine. I mean, I had just gone for a little hike at the park, I was in tennies and yoga pants. Ordered my eggs scrambled well with onions, hashbrowns, and bacon. They gave me a number and my coffee in a paper cup. Went to sit down to read the OC Weekly which they have by the front door to wait for my meal. When it came, they had put the bacon in my eggs. I looked at it and decided, "It's all going to the same place, what the heck," no need to waste perfectly good eggs. I have to say, the eggs were great! So were the hashbrowns and the coffee was good too! It was raining on the last day of summer so we couldn't sit on the patio. The service was friendly and attentive. Our server apologized for the mixup with the bacon in my eggs which turned out to be a good thing. But I have to say that overall the experience was a very good one. During the week i like to come in to study since they're open till 5ish. It's got a cool vibe and the staff is pretty friendly, plus the coffee is pretty darn good. On the weekends, it's a bit more packed but it's worth it to wait for the food, trust me! I almost always get a veggie omelette but occasionally will try the bagel sandwiches.. safe to say you can't go wrong with anything you get. This review is overdue! Cyrano's is one of our favorite breakfast places. Tucked in a small shopping center in Orange Park Acres area, it has delicious espresso drinks and great food. The chorizo burrito is a standout and I love the coffee cake muffin. It can get crowded so I recommend sitting outside where there is a lovely little back patio which is also great for dogs! The tasty food and the excellent service keep us coming back; at a recent visit, there was a mix up with our order and they lost it! They immediately offered us two more mochas and then, when the food arrived, it was still not what we ordered (this is the first time we've ever had an issue like this here). The manager came out, apologized profusely and gave us a certificate to come back for a free breakfast. We so appreciated that they made it right (so many places just don't care these days! See my Sol Grille review). We'll keep coming back to Cyrano's! In fact, I'm writing this review on their back patio as we wait for our chorizo burrito:-) read more

The food here is great but some of the employees either are not good listeners or have low aptitude because they get the orders wrong or they forget to bring the food. On my most recent second visit I had to ask for my soup multiple times and I noticed around the corner that the cooks were busy chit chatting and forgot. The service was as bad as it gets. After paying for my coffee and bagel the order went into a dark hole. After 10 minutes I had to ask for my bagel that was sitting cold and after another 10 minutes I couldn't wait any longer and asked for a refund for my coffee and one of the employees who was sitting down talking to a friend the whole time got up to make the coffee. We purchased some "no expiration" coupons from restaurant.com and have used them a few times to defray Cyrano's high prices. We like the dog friendly outdoor seating and it's just around the corner from us, so we have tolerated the less than perfectly cooked, overpriced breakfast entrees. Today's visit was horrible. They refused to honor the coupon we had and said they no longer accept them, even though it clearly states "no expiration". We were not given our coffee at the counter as they usually do, and were told they would bring it out later. When no coffee arrived, we went back inside to see it sitting there - apparently for a while- since it was lukewarm. When our food arrived, one of the orders had no hash browns and we asked for hotter coffee. We assumed we would get fresh servings, but instead they splashed a little more coffee into our already practically full cups and brought those back out to us. Coffee was still lukewarm. The outdoor space had not been cleaned. There were cigarette butts and dead snails around our table, and one of the plastic chairs had a broken arm. Since you pay and add the tip (if using plastic) when you place your order, there doesn't seem to be a lot of motivation for the staff to get things right. Sorry to say, they have lost us as customers. Not honoring coupons is a no-no. We bought those "buy-down" coupons, so we are out the money on them. Treating customers right guarantees return business. Fortunately, they have new competition in the same shopping area, so that's where we'll be heading next. read more

The food is fine, but Cyranos has the worst service. I ordered two bagels and they said it would take no more then twenty minutes. They ran out of the bagels that ordered and gave us different ones. There was avacdo smashed my on the bottom and they didn't put our food in for forty minutes. read more
