Great meal at Collage this evening. Staff was very attentive and informing. The bread is delicious that is served. Strawberry sorbet to cleanse the palate before main course is also on point. Very quaint setting set the mood for a wonderful meal. Only thing I will say is they have a very large wine menu, but not as many beer options as I would have preferred. Had the steak with potatoes and broccolini, my brother the same. Wife and sister in law shared appetizers for their meal. All was great. Definitely recommend. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for years and finally make it there. It did not disappoint. The service was phenomenal, the ambiance cozy and the food delectable. I got the goat cheese salad for appetizer and my husband got the soup du jour which was a mushroom soup. Both were great and generous servings. For dinner my husband got the scallops and I the surf and turf. The presentation alone was worth the price. Dessert was butter rum cake which was warm and sweet. Such an amazing experience. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our server Harmony, was super knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients, and her recommendations were all on point. We were a party of 6 and shared 3 appetizers and 3 desserts. All 6 entrées were super delicious. From my observations, there are ADA accommodations and accommodations for parents with a child all over the restaurant and especially in the restroom. The perfect romantic restaurant for a special event or sharing a great memory with someone close to you. My wife, brother, and sister-in-law recently dined at Collage and had an outstanding meal from start to finish! We had two tenderloin meals cooked perfectly and both had excellent seasonings. Then there were some shared appetizers of burrata and scallops along with soup and salad. There was nothing left on any of our plates! The bread service was so outstanding that we ordered a second loaf! Our service was pretty flipping spot on too! From the moment we were greeted until literally heading out the door we were treated well and everyone had a smile! Yes, this is a pricey restaurant. The food was carefully prepared - my ravioli had a chunk of lobster in each piece. Clearly it was handmade as advertised. My hubby ate his steak all gone, but he did give me a bite. The sauce was amazing. Like most places in the area, the parking is valet. The wines as well chosen and well priced at around $10 per glass. The descriptions of the wine were helpful too. Yes, it doesn't have and ocean view but this also is not a tourist trap. This is a place to go for a special occasion. We went for our anniversary. The bread was so good we brought some home with our leftovers. The service was spot on. I never had an annoyance with too much attention or not enough. Seating was comfortable and not too crowded. This is a wonderful restaurant we found in the heart of St Augustine. Fun atmosphere although its a very expensive and classy restaurant. Food and service was outstanding and our server Louis was outstanding. We had the Burrata and beef carpaccio appetizers and three of us had the veal ossobucco special and veg ravioli. All amazing. I visited Collage Restaurant for the first time about six years ago and had a phenomenal experience. I decided to return last weekend during a short trip to St. Augustine. The restaurant was just as good, if not better, than my first visit. First of all, if you want to eat here, get reservations a few weeks in advance since the restaurant is quite small and they tend to run out of available seating. During this visit I ordered the Beef Tenderloin Tartare, Veal Orleans, and Homemade Butter Rum Cake. The Beef Tenderloin Tartare was fresh, tender and melt in your mouth and topped with a rich yolky quail egg, briny capers, flavorful anchovies, and crisp shallots. This combination with the side of roasted garlic-scallion crème fraiche was a heavenly combination of decadent flavors. The Veal Orleans was super tender and topped with a rich earthy fondue and paired with a briny tender artichoke, creamy whipped potatoes, and meaty tender juicy shrimp. This was some of the best veal I have ever had. For dessert the Homemade Butter Rum Cake was perfectly soft and moist with a creamy glaze and a nice rum flavor. Went here for my wife and I's anniversary. The restaurant is in the heart of historic downtown Saint Augustine and is a small intimate setting with only about 14 tables (so reservations are likely required). We ordered some lamb meatballs, steak, and dessert. The lamb meatballs were delicious! The steak was cooked as ordered however the tomato sauce they use with the steak does not work. It tasted like our steak was paired with a spicy marinara sauce. If I return I would not get that sauce again. Overall, we enjoyed this restaurant. Wine selection is extensive and filled with a ton of great choices that fit any budget. We started with the steak tartar bruschetta app. Four bite size pieces of a delicious culinary roller coaster of flavors. I know it seems I'm being extra but truthfully I'm not. Each bite brought a different flavor to the pallet and they were all amazing. Followed up with the rack of lamb and it was sooooooo good. Like melt in your mouth good. Don't get me wrong. But we would have come much sooner had we known by calling you probably have a better chance of getting in... Food was all outstanding EXCEPT the lobster pate. That was easily one of the worst things I've ever had. My husband and I thought it was a block of cheese? Haha. And it tasted like you were eating butter. Wayyyy too rich for anyone in their right mind. And the bread wasn't toasted enough to spread the brick of a lobster upon. It was bad. But that's what happens sometimes when you look to order the most interesting thing on the menu. Sometimes you lose the battle ;) But!!! Everything else was wonderful!!! My veal melted in my mouth. I cleaned every inch of that plate. My husband had the duck and he said it was outstanding. And we both decided on the coconut ice cream-wow!! Best I've EVER had. Ever. I was quite impressed. My favorite restaurant in St. Augustine! We randomly stumbled upon this spot when we were walking and getting lost on the streets. The restaurant looks like a converted house turned dining room. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. It is the perfect date spot. We sat in front of the fireplace and it was super romantic except that it was in front of the door so we saw everyone walk in. ALL of the dishes are amazing.. we've been here enough times to try quick a selection of the entrees. My favorite is scallops and the duck is a close second. It's not family friendly and not really group friendly either.. it's more of a spot to enjoy one on one time with someone you care about. read more

I was very excited to go eat here, I had seen great reviews and it had been on my " To try list" for awhile! Walking in it's cute and smaller then I was expecting, like a house that was converted to a restaurant. I consider myself an adventurous eater and when I go out to eat try to find unusual dishes or definitely something I can't just make at home. Their menu looked good, some fancy stuff..I had already looked up the menu before we came and had seen things I wanted to try, but when we sat down the current menu was different ( which I do love when places do seasonal menu, that's great use what's fresh at that time) and the prices were quite higher then a few months ago. I know inflation and COVID, but when dishes are hitting the $50 mark for one entree I expect them to be amazing! So we got a few apps, the bruschetta was delicious, 2 entrees we both liked the Duo di Manzo, very tasty, and dessert. Our waiter was very knowledgeable on the dishes and even wet substitutions would not compromise the overall flavor composition of the dish. My wife and I ventured there to celebrate our anniversary, and I told them in advance what we were celebrating but they made no mention of it. We started with a shared appetizer of escargot one a puff pastry. The pastry was light and delicious while the ESCARGOT was full of the garlic flavor you expect. We then had a house special salad with fried onions, goat cheese and vinaigrette dressing. It was not an excellent dish, but it was a valiant effort on elevating a salad. Our entrees were a mixed bag, my wife had the BLACK GROUPER, BasmatI Rice, and she also ordered a lobster tail on the side proclaiming this a Surf and Surf. Her grouper was masterfully prepared and highlighted the grouper flavor and the lobster was simply grilled and perfection as it was served. I tried the house special VEAL CHEEK, which was one the most disappointing dishes I have had on a long time. The cheek was like a pot roast texture and just did not have that much flavor. It was super expensive, which made it super disappointing. However the RISOTTO it was served with was sublime. So technically perfect in texture and flavor, it really was tasty. It also came with MARROW served in the bone, which is a rare treat. It was so flavorful, I was surprised I enjoyed it so much. Parking is an issue, so we took an Uber, but be aware of this when trying to make your reservations time. I should also point out the RESERVATIONS are a must. This is the best restaurant in St Augustine! I take multiple out of town guests there and am NEVER disappointed. Service is always above and beyond. The food is always perfect, and the atmosphere cannot be beaten. Cozy but in the main part of the historic district, this restaurant is easy to miss since it's tucked away between other buildings and fairly nondescript. Be advised, Collage is not ideal for a family sit down dinner. I arrived based on a recommendation from a friend. As a family of four, and we were hustled into a corner where we barely had space to breathe, and was forced to sit so close to the next table, it felt as if they were part of our group. Moving was not an option. I should've done my homework but admittedly I didn't and there was a bit of sticker shock when we saw the prices of both appetizers and entrées. I'll speak for myself and had the New Zealand Lamb Chop duo with medallions and sauce. I asked for a medium-well finish and the chops came out near bloody in the middle. I sometimes eat rare, so I continued on, but truth be told, the entrée was not tasty at all, and very bland. As an appetizer, we got the Burrata and this, too, was nothing out of the ordinary. My wife shared the Gambas Al Ajillo with my son and she, too, was unimpressed being that the sauce was extremely bland. The server was somewhat pushy and let it be known clearly that this really wasn't a restaurant with anything designed for children. No kid's meals or portions for smaller ones, hence, the shrimp. It's very awkward to sit in a restaurant for a meal. knowing right off the bat that you've made a very big mistake. Call it a vibe but it was simply one of those things. The $250 price tag solidified the buyer's remorse and we walked down to Charlotte Street for ice cream because the desert list was also unimaginative and unappealing to kids. I can't speak for the high reviews listed on here; I can only simply provide my own experience. And it's not a question of price because there were nights during our stay where we had $200 plus dinners, and they were fantastic. The Ancient City brunch bar was a fraction of the cost and it was the best food we had during our stay. Highly recommended. So enter Collage at your own risk. We weren't given the choice of seating, so I never saw the rest of the restaurant . I can't even tell you about the ambience other than we were crammed into a corner with mediocre food and next door diners breathing down my neck. Fooled me once. Not again. Good luck. read more

Very pricey for not getting it right and causing a display when we had an issue we wanted to be handled discreetly. Really, really great food and a seasonal menu in a cozy environment and super accommodating staff. We had a medium sized party (6 people) with one vegan and another person with strict (and confusing) dietary restrictions. Everyone had something they could eat; the chef prepared special courses for the vegan, which she said were great. I had the potato and leek soup (the soup du jour), and it was excellent. Creamy and well-seasoned, and not too thick, with lots of rich umami from the leeks. For my entree, I had the lobster ravioli which was also fantastic. Would love to come back again-- just wish parking in St. Augustine was a little easier!
